Well I finally go to try this place and I have to say it didn't disappoint! This fine establishment is nestled on the busy street of Sherman way. It's got that diner American dinner charm when you walk in but with a Thai home feeling too. The people here who served me were great! They welcomed me and treated me like their own and with the other customers who were eating there too! They were also treated like they were regulars even though they probably were already and even if they weren't like myself, they treated all who walked in greatly! Their menu had some American staples and some of those staples had a Thai twist to them although I will say I only saw it briefly and so I'm not too sure but I can say with confidence they had Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee which I got the latter and with that I got the chilaquiles skirt steak with scrambled eggs. I want to say that if you're a fan of chilaquiles it is pretty good! You get a generous portion of the tasty chips under your eggs with some pickled onions your choice of the verde or rojo sauce for the chilaquiles in which I got both for it and it was the best ever so much flavor and I haven't even gotten to the skirt steak which not only was tender but so juicy and flavorful. I asked for it to be medium rare and it came out mostly medium-well but the tenderness and juiciness of the steak itself was just spectacular. I got the Thai iced coffee and I will say the taste is different because I'm used to drinking Thai iced tea but when drinking the coffee you can definitely tell the coffee had a special taste to it like it was very prominent in flavor! I liked it very much it was a different taste. I think this place is great and it makes sense as to why this place stood through the test of time. Great people, great service and great food! I definitely will come back and make myself a regular because this place is great! 5 of 5 stars for me!
Back in 2026 and this place never disappoints! Their menu looks updated to have spam kimchi fried rice and some other new items but we couldn't resist getting the oldies but goodies. Thai green tea: floral and sweet in the best way possible! Pam's loco moco: still seasoned perfectly with lots of garlic and peppercorns and just the right amount of fat. Country fried steak: their batter is seasoned perfectly and it tastes like a giant nugget and I mean that it's so delicious!! Service is always great here, best breakfast in town!

Staff was super friendly and the menu was vast - I was so excited to see options like spam, loco moco and white rice!!! The rice was cooked perfectly and was so good! It hit the spot on a rainy day, exploring North Hollywood. Thanks for a great start to 2026!!
Adequate restaurant! Got the Eddie sandwich and it was pretty good. Service is excellent. Ambience is exellent. Price is not so excellent. For $20 the sandwich should be much better. My partner got a grilled cheese and for $15 it was just a piece of bread with a slice of American cheese grilled. Not the reviews here may be artificially inflated as they offer free Thai iced tea for reviews.
Came here early Saturday morning and had a great experience! I ordered the marinated skirt steak and eggs with cheese, which came with potatoes -- I skipped the toast. Everything came out fast (under 10 minutes!), hot, and really flavorful. No complaints at all. The steak was tender, the eggs were perfect, and the potatoes hit the spot. When I walked in, I was greeted immediately and the server even cleared a table for me right away -- service was on point from start to finish. They do have parking, but it can fill up, so street parking is a good backup. Also, the space is a little small, so coming early is definitely the move. Prices are reasonable and the menu has a wide variety of options.
This was our second time here! First time we tried the chicken wings and waffles wow oh wow what a treat!! This time we got chilaquiles, a garden chicken salad and a bbq chicken wrap. All equally delectable The service is always exceptional. I like how when I ordered the waitress reassured me that I was making the correct choice! Seems like a long time established mom and pop restaurant. I can see why people keep going back for more!
First time here and definitely not my last. This place lives to its brand name that is "best chicken and waffles". I was seated right away and although almost all tables were occupied, my order was taken fast and food came out fast. You cannot substitute, all meals are fixed! Keep this in mind when visiting. I believe this is what allows the crowd to move. I never felt rushed and when I needed something someone was ready to help me. Small but mighty restaurant. Clean and friendly service. Highly recommended!

I love this place! My go to dish is Pam's Loco Moco. The eggs Benny and chilaquiles with skirt steak are also so good. The staff are so nice and I love supporting this place. Feels like a family run old school diner with great food and warm service. Highly recommend! read more

This place was great, i loved the service, hostesses are amazing they are very friendly people. Our kids enjoyed their meal. And loved that they have cafe de olla . This spot is small and it gets packed after 10am during weekends. Would really come back again and try their other meals read more

Returned a year later to find the same great menu with tons of choices and reasonable prices. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the friendly servers who come round to fill your coffee, but are never intrusive. This may be the only place I've been to in the valley that has great pancakes. They must be homemade. They definitely don't come from a box. My friend had the pork chop and said it was amazing. He usually eats all his food, but he couldn't finish it. It was just too much. Definitely going to bring my friends here because of atmosphere and food. Great for breakfast maybe I'll try it for dinner next. read more

We love Hungry Fox! Their waffles are perfectly crispy with just the right amount of sweetness, so they're delicious even without syrup. The chicken is always crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Chicken and waffles are our go-to order every time. My kids especially love coming here for the waffles and chicken. The service is quick, the food always comes out hot and fresh, and the restaurant is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. read more

When I saw the Hungry Fox advertised on social media I assumed it was lit to look good on camera. What surprised me was how bright and inviting it was when we went in. Fast and friendly service brought our food, all freshly made, out quickly. The omelette was packed with ingredients and delicious. Eggs Benedict was also amazing and the Hollandaise was savory. "Top of the morning" indeed! We rolled in for breakfast and basically ordered the best parts of the menu. The Salmon Lox Bagel was top-tier, and the Avocado Toast was exactly what you want it to be. But let's talk about the Croissant French Toast... first time had this - amazing !!. 10/10 would recommend for a weekend treat. While I thought the staff was lovely and I enjoyed the cozy diner vibes, damn is this placed overpriced. I paid $15 for a very mediocre grilled cheese. I thought they were going to do something special with it like at the very least put fresh shredded cheese but they literally put what tasted like Kraft American cheese slices in it and it wasn't even fully melted. If you come here definitely don't get the grilled cheese. read more

Hungry Fox is such a great brunch spot! The food was fresh, flavorful, and the portions were very generous. Everything tasted homemade and comforting -- perfect for a relaxing weekend brunch. It's a 4 star because of their good fried chicken. I wouldn't recommend anything else... I've been craving for some good chicken and waffles and this place came recommended. After scanning its menu, I learned that it's one of their signatures. You can get everything else at another diner for a better price and (as I learned later) for better quality. Service was quick. You can tell they try their best to accommodate each customer with a sign-in list. It gives a classic diner vibe with booths and a bar-like seating area. It's easy to say that the chicken and waffles is probably the only dish worth trying because the menu is confusing. I love Korean food, but what is spam kimchi fried rice doing at an American breakfast & brunch spot? I decided to judge the other dishes based on the quality of the waffles since it was a popular item on other dishes. The dish came out quickly. I cut into the fried chicken, and it's clear that it was fried very recently. I loved how it was not overly seasoned. I devoured that chicken. The waffle was disappointing. It was the thinnest waffle I have ever seen and when I took a bite, it tasted way more like butter than flour. Mind you, I didn't add any butter. I took a few bites and told myself it wasn't worth eating. Hungry Fox's signature is the fried chicken. Imo, they should make it a fried chicken spot, and they'll probably be more successful. The sad waffles tell me that none of the other breakfast items are worth eating especially at the price points. read more

The Hungry Fox in North Hollywood is that old school diner that surprises you with some seriously standout plates. Their chicken & waffles are the star crispy, juicy, and paired with waffles that hit that perfect soft buttery sweet spot. The marinated steak is another sleeper hit, tender and full of flavor, and the chilaquiles come out bold, saucy, and comforting the way they should be. And if you've got a sweet tooth, the Biscoff Bomb pancakes are exactly what they sound like over the top fluffy, and absolutely worth the indulgence. Friendly service, big portions, and a menu that goes way harder than you'd expect from a neighborhood diner. A NoHo classic for a reason. read more

Truthfully I do not think so. It's a very old school type of place, which is its appeal. They gave by caught up on these times. Sorry. I do hope this was helpful.
