[[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small cozy place. Only a few tables inside and some outdoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Friendly abd quick Service. It was early so only 3 tables were occupied. I sat at the corner but the back door kept open and the wind was pretty strong so I asked to moved to other table. Food were out in a timely manner. Nice presentation. However, the taste was not that great. The salad that came with my food looks like it has been out for a while. Dry and some wilted araarugula. I got a spicy chicken omelet. Was it spicy? Nope. Only a few chopped jalapeño thats not spicy, very little amount of chicken and basil. Pretty unsatisfied with this omelet. Maybe it's an off day, or too early? Not for me? I think so. Stomach was unsettled after the salad. Not coming back.
Pretty good food! It wasn't like super special but still tasty, you get a good portion for what you order however it is on the pricer side. I like that they offer speciality coffees that was the best, and they have interesting specials for food as well. A lot of unique options for pancakes which is great if you like super sweet at times. Service was pretty good they were attentive, there was a small wait, they seem to get pretty busy on the weekends. Parking was definitely difficult, they have a back parking lot which is nice but a lot of the spots are reserved for other businesses, street parking wasn't too difficult to find but may need to walk a bit. Overall I'd like to try some more food from here.
After the airport, we came here for some brunch. Our waitress told us that the best items were the chilaquiles and the huevos rancheros. We got both of them, cut them in half and ate those. Then we saw a tiramisu French toast on the sign and gave that an order as well. If you come here, I feel you need to get both the huevos rancheros and the chilaquiles. They actually balance each other perfectly. Both of the flavors are just so well crafted, plus you get so much avocado with each of your dishes. We were really excited for the tiramisu French toast though. Our order came out looking like pancakes, but it was okay, because these pancakes were made extremely well. They don't have the same texture or density as normal pancakes. They taste a lot better. Plus how they combine all the ingredients is especially lovely. Would come back after going to the airport. Service is great and everyone is so kind and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is either indoors or outdoors so you get your choice of where you want to sit. Pet friendly too as they'll bring out a water bowl for a puppy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Woof woof!
Went back to Garcia Bros. so that my wife could give it a try, and managed to slide into a table just before the big rush of people arrived. Our server was quick and friendly, and kept checking on us despite having quite a few tables. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were seated outside, and the cafe atmosphere led to a nice conversation with the couple at the adjoining table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All nice. Food looked fantastic as always, but there was a tiny glitch this time. I think they forgot to make my wife's Crispy French Toast, because our order arrived after those at several tables who ordered after us. My breakfast sandwich (eggs, bacon and cheddar) was perfectly composed, but a little on the cool side, as were the hash browns -- it seemed as if the plate had been sitting for a bit. My wife's French Toast was picture perfect (see the photo), but very dry inside, as if they rushed to make it and didn't let the bread soak in the batter. The daily special Tiramisu French Toast (also pictured) was ordered by our neighbors, and they said the inside was moist -- that's why I think there was a glitch with our food. That said, this kind of slip-up can happen anywhere, and wouldn't dissuade either of us from coming back. It's a busy place with a very creative menu, and sometimes stuff happens.

Checked in at the host counter for first available which they were able to seat us within a couple minutes. The restaurant itself isn't big. A few tables inside but majority of the seating was outside. It was already packed when we arrived. First available was inside which was fine. Service was great when we checked in and throughout the whole dining experience. Everyone was quite friendly and cheerful. They did have a few items on the board for specials. Menu wise, pretty much breakfast and lunch. I think they're known for their matcha pancakes as it seemed to be on every other table. I don't think there's alcohol as it wasn't on the menu. Started off with a glass of OJ and one of the smoothies. Noho smoothie with fresh strawberries, bananas, orange juice and mango puree. It was quite nice and refreshing. Meals, the meat lover omelette served with ham, pork sausage, bacon, eggs and cheddar cheese. That came with a side of fries or hash brown. And the breakfast quesadillas which was on the special. Basically the breakfast burrito but quesadillas. Accompanied by sour cream and pico de gallo. Waitress did mentioned if we would like some homemade salsa as well. Food was good, simple but tasty. Looking at all the sweet dishes, it was quite appetizing but I prefer something savory for breakfast. Finally was able to try this place out and it was nice. The wait time does get pretty long depending on when you come. They'll seat your group when everyone is there. Service was great. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our meal. Oh yeah, homemade salsa could have come out in a bigger bowl instead of the small serving....lol...
Went to Garcia Bros Cafe for breakfast and there was a medium line when we arrived..about a 35-minute wait. We decided to stay because of all the good Yelp reviews, and they seated us around the 30-35 minute mark. Service once seated was good. What we ordered + thoughts: Pistachio Matcha Latte - The flavor itself was really good, but the powdered/ground pistachios made it grainy and hard to drink. It honestly made my throat tickle and cough. A smooth drink should be smooth, not gritty. I think if they strained it, it would be way better. Tiramisu Latte - This was good and not as sweet as I expected (which I liked). The cookie on top, though, was not good..kinda stale and more for looks than taste. Supreme Burrito (popular on Yelp) - Disappointing. Both me and my friend didn't like it. It lacked flavor, needed more cheese to hold it together, and was falling apart. Some sauce or salsa inside would've helped a lot..it was way too dry and bland. I would not order this again. Ube Pancake - The winner. Not overly sweet, came with berries and whipped cream, and I really enjoyed it. Overall, I wouldn't say it's worth a long wait, but I do want to come back to try other things like the chilaquiles and the matcha pancakes. Mixed experience, but I'm open to giving it another shot with different dishes.
The cafe de olla wasn't as strong so they let me switch it for the iced latte. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nice ambiance, inside or outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The omelets is always so juicy, I recommend asking for their spicy salsa! Also got the crunchy French toast and matcha pancakes but didn't take a picture
Stopped by here after our gym session. Hubby enjoyed his burrito. I wished the avocado toast had more chunky avocados instead of a thin spread. The eggs were just perfectly poached. After 15-20 mins, the pancakes were still warm and yet so fluffy. I have to say it's one of the best ones we've had. Parking can be a bit tricky at times.

The breakfast sandwich was alright; your typical savory bacon and egg sandwich. The eggs benedict was a little bland and I wish the holandaise sauce had a bit more salt/flavor. The chorizo was good and had a nice little kick to it. However the hashbrowns were a little soggy and needed to be toasted a little more. The matcha pancakes was very tasty! It was very creamy and fluffy, and i like how it was not too sweet. You can actually taste the matcha in the cream and pancakes which isn't too strong, but it's still there! Overall, I would give this place another try, perhaps on a day when it isn't so busy. It seems like the perfect place to have brunch!

One of my favorites was the chorizo eggs benedict served with crispy hash browns. The poached eggs were cooked well and the chorizo added a lot of flavor. The hash browns had a nice golden crisp and made the plate fell hearty and satisfying. I also tried the avocado toast topped with poached eggs and served with hash browns. It was simple but very fresh and balanced, with creamy avocado and perfectly soft eggs. Another time I ordered the tuna wrap with sweet potato fries. The wrap was well filled and flavorful, and the sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Each meal paired well with their house coffee, which I ordered every visit. The coffee was strong, smooth, and exactly what you want with breakfast or brunch. Overall this spot delivers a great casual breakfast and lunch experience. The food is flavorful, the portions are solid, and the service has always been welcoming and attentive. I've had nothing but good experiences here and I will definitely keep coming back to try more of the menu.
Garcia Bros is a jumping, intimate cafe with delicious Mexican and American flavors as well as Asian influence. We waited about 15 minutes for a party of two to be seated on a Sunday. The service from Daniela was pleasant, but it took a while to receive the food. However, it was worth the wait. We had Cafe de Olla, Cold Brew, Chorizo Benedict, Two Eggs & Bacon with Hash browns, and Matcha Berry Pancakes. The Chorizo was flavorful, eggs and bacon were delicious, and pancakes were fluffy and decadent. They weren't over sweetened and syrup wasn't necessary. I want to return for Huevos Rancheros.

I came here by myself for breakfast because I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time. It's always packed, so I assumed the food and service would be worth the wait. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. I was seated in the very corner, and after my order was taken and my food was dropped off, I was completely forgotten. No one checked on me--not once. No one asked how my food was, if I needed a refill, or if I needed anything else. I sat there watching the tables around me receive attentive service while I was completely ignored. The people behind me were checked on multiple times while I couldn't even get someone's attention. I eventually had to wave down the hostess just to ask for a to-go box and my check because my server never came back. It honestly made me feel invisible. To make matters worse, the food was mediocre at best. It definitely didn't live up to the hype, and it certainly wasn't worth the poor service. I left feeling disappointed and unwelcome. Between being completely neglected and the underwhelming food, I have no reason to come back. There are plenty of places that appreciate every customer, and unfortunately, this wasn't one of them. read more

Pistachio matcha is a must, it actually has real ground pistachio, not just a sugary syrup. You can ask them to make it less sweet as well. Chorizo Benedict 5/5: big enough to share. Came here w my friend a while ago after a nice hike. This was the perfect little spot. Great customer service. I remember parking being a little tough but we managed to get street parking. The food itself was delicious. Overall would come back here again and would recommend. read more

Garcia Bros popped up in my Yelp recommendations so I invited my dad here for a Sunday morning breakfast. Man this place is POPULAR. We didn't have a reservation (tip: make one) and waited about 30 minutes for an outdoor table (heated lamps available!) I definitely think they are slightly short staffed as we had long finished our drinks (coffee and hot tea) before they came by asking if we wanted a refill, and then longer still with said refill. Overall though, I'd return. Pumpkin pancakes 5/5 oh I LOVED these! The pumpkin top reminds me of pumpkin puree you use to make pumpkin pie and the cream (?) on top was such a perfect combination, the pancakes themselves were soft and fluffy, I definitely want to come back and try their matcha pancakes Chorizo (soy) scramble 5/5, my dad got this and loved it. This was his first time trying a soy alternative in general and he was so pleasantly surprised by how much it tasted like chorizo / how good it was! read more

We had an appointment in the area and dropped in for 'brunch.' No wait, and we were seated inside. Indoor seating is limited, but there is some nice outdoor space, as well. In spite of being seated quickly and sitting with menus closed, it took a while for anyone to approach. This was exacerbated as I watched someone be seated at the table outside our window, he studied the menu and had ordered and received a coffee before we ever were approached and got to order. Servers were all hustling the entire time, but nobody was particularly warm. I wasn't looking to chat, or anything, but it just felt a bit detatched. Anyway, the food... We got a Breakfast Burrito and a Turkey Melt. Both were good, nothing extremely special, but good. Salsa for the Burrito was pretty tasty. They offer a very good cafe de' olla, and most of the other coffee drinks that were dropped at other tables looked very nice. Overall, a good value and a place that I'd recommend and would return. read more

The food is amazing. The service was friendly and helpful and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambience is amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can't go wrong with their brunch or breakfast. It's one of my definitely one of my most favorite places. They're only open during the week until 2:00 PM for last call. You most definitely won't be disappointed, this I promise you. We have been here twice and both times the breakfast was so delicious . Obsessed with the iced matcha and matcha pancakes . Customer service is also 10/10 from the host to the servers . The whole experience from begining to end is always a great one . Will be back ! read more
I stopped by this Garcia Bros Cafe on Saturday to see what the hype is all about. I drove by this place a couple of times and always saw a line. So I came right when they open to avoid waiting and did street parking because this place doesn't have its own private lot. There a small indoor dining experience but more tables outside. Keep in mind that they won't sit you unless your whole party is there. I got seated inside and I went with the supreme breakfast burrito which was delicious especially with the salsa that comes with it. I also got a side of fruits that came with it which tasted fresh and amazing. I was going to order to go for my family as well so I got the tiramisu pancakes, raspberry crepes, healthy veggies omelette, mama omelette, banana Nutella crepes, hot coffee and a ice chai latte (I asked for light ice) for my to go order. It didn't take long for my to go to come out but they forgot the chai and coffee so I went to the takeout area to ask for it. They filled the chai latte cup with half ice but I didn't say anything. The customer service here is amazing, everyone is so friendly and spread positive energy . All of the food I ordered to go was great and everyone enjoyed it. read more

Had an overall great experience here for Saturday brunch! My partner and arrived around 1 pm and put our name on the list with the host outside. She told us it would be about a 30 minute wait, but we were called in less than 10 mins. I started with the cafe de olla and it was perfect. For our meals, I had the spicy chicken omelette with hash browns and my partner and I split the ube pancakes (not a regular menu item as of right now, just a special). The pancakes were definitely the star of the meal for me! Not overly sweet at all and with a great ube flavor. The omelette and hash browns were not particularly memorable, the chicken was chewy and a bit dry and everything felt a little under seasoned. However, we had a great experience overall and I'd definitely come back to try other menu items! read more

This Restaurant is super cute, they offer indoor and outdoor seating. If it is a cold day they have heaters for the outdoor. The menu has a great variety of choices. I decided to order the eggs Benedict and a matcha latte. Super tasty and a great choice I will definitely be coming back and ordering this again. Ate so much I had to unbuckle my pants. The pasta and the matcha pancakes are so good we are keeping this place bookmarked to come back. The pasta is perfectly cooked with an appropriate amount of sauce. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the garlic bread is to die for. The matcha pancakes are perfection. You don't even need syrup to add to it because it's just so tasty! I normally like to drown my pancakes in syrup but didn't need to today. Our server, Daniella, was very friendly, food comes out quickly and they have a dog friendly patio. First time and it did not disappoint. Wait was quick, service was fast, and friendly - Mercedes our server was wonderful. Food was delicious, we had pancakes w/ice cream, waffles w/strawberry, omelette and the chorizo Benedict. Lemonade, strawberry lemonade fresh and tasty, tiramisu and coconut lattes so good. Cute breakfast spot here in Van Nuys. The food is good but not great. Honestly, I've tried way better brunch spots here in the SFV. However, this place is better than Norms but not better than Nat's cafe. Service here is pretty slow considering it's always busy. We visited here for the first time. It was full, but we put our name in. We ended up being seated pretty quickly though. I ordered the Parma Rosa Pasta with Chicken. My wife got the the California Pasta. Oh my, were these plates tasty! Probably the most exciting pasta I have had in a long time. I loved the fresh ingredients such as the basil and bell peppers. We also ordered a Supreme breakfast burrito to take home, but gave it a bite and according to my wife, it was one of the best she has tried! Looking around others were ordering multiple courses of food. For example one table had their sandwiches and then a round of crepes. The food is that good! The staff were helpful and respectful. The dinkng room, although too small, was clean and modern. All in all a great experience. We are planning to bring others here! read more

***3.5 We decided to try a new bfast place and after viewing these reviews we decided to stop at this place ‼ So if you're with a big group you should definitely look elsewhere, this place is quite small and compact but they make it work. Wait wasn't out of control , waited about 30 mins which is quite normal in SFV!! Service was friendly but can definitely need more enthusiasm and show more passion to your job! We started our order with a vanilla latte and chai tea latte and they were okay , nothing out of this world , would probably just save my money and order REGULAR COFFEE!! We ordered the bfast sandwich, supreme burrito and waffle and would definitely recommended the waffle , had lots of flavor!!! However the bfast sandwich was very bland and mid, so go ahead and skip the sandwich for the supreme burrito!!! If you live nearby I would recommend it , however would not drive more than 10 mins for it !!! read more
Recommended brunch spot! I've been here several times, and each time the food reminds me of why I love brunch food the most. I recommend their matcha pancakes and waffles, spicy chicken omelette, and chilaquiles. The food is fresh and cooked well. Even the presentation of the food is on point. Service is excellent and always friendly. The space is a bit small, so you may have to wait to get a table on busy times. If you need to sit outside, I would advise against sitting in the hallway area because it can feel like a small wind tunnel. read more

Barely beat the crowds coming in at opening hour on a drizzly Saturday. People were swarming in and we were able to get a table in the first rush. Was surprised that even people ate outside in the alley patio! Parking was easy as there is street parking and a back lot. The cafe de olla is the only coffee you should get imo. I had the chilaquiles and the matcha pancakes. The pancakes were really sweet and didn't taste too matcha-y to me but I def enjoyed how fluffy they were. The chilaquiles were very filling and solid. Next time I hope to try the chorizo Benedict which looked so good at other people's tables. Thanks Garcia bros ! read more

Bad service, the server was rude, when they move us from outside to inside because of the flys they don't even bother to move the plates inside.the food is good but unfortunately service is bad.our server never came to check on us. I understand it's busy but that's not an excuse. read more

The avocado toast was incredible. The service was okay. I think they forgot about us a little bit but it was so busy I can understand why. But when I'm waiting twenty minutes for them to notice us to get the check, it sucks a little bit. I would love to come back and try more on the menu and really see how I feel about this place. I think it could be five stars. Every plate that came out looked incredible. I'll give a proper review when I try a bigger meal and a coffee drink. read more
