After the airport, we came here for some brunch. Our waitress told us that the best items were the chilaquiles and the huevos rancheros. We got both of them, cut them in half and ate those. Then we saw a tiramisu French toast on the sign and gave that an order as well. If you come here, I feel you need to get both the huevos rancheros and the chilaquiles. They actually balance each other perfectly. Both of the flavors are just so well crafted, plus you get so much avocado with each of your dishes. We were really excited for the tiramisu French toast though. Our order came out looking like pancakes, but it was okay, because these pancakes were made extremely well. They don't have the same texture or density as normal pancakes. They taste a lot better. Plus how they combine all the ingredients is especially lovely. Would come back after going to the airport. Service is great and everyone is so kind and attentive. Ambiance is either indoors or outdoors so you get your choice of where you want to sit. It's a small cozy place. Only a few tables inside and some outdoors. Friendly abd quick Service. It was early so only 3 tables were occupied. I sat at the corner but the back door kept open and the wind was pretty strong so I asked to moved to other table. Food were out in a timely manner. Nice presentation. However, the taste was not that great. The salad that came with my food looks like it has been out for a while. Dry and some wilted araarugula. I got a spicy chicken omelet. Was it spicy? Nope. Only a few chopped jalapeño thats not spicy, very little amount of chicken and basil. Pretty unsatisfied with this omelet. Maybe it's an off day, or too early? Not for me? I think so. Pretty good food! It wasn't like super special but still tasty, you get a good portion for what you order however it is on the pricer side. I like that they offer speciality coffees that was the best, and they have interesting specials for food as well. A lot of unique options for pancakes which is great if you like super sweet at times. Service was pretty good they were attentive, there was a small wait, they seem to get pretty busy on the weekends. Parking was definitely difficult, they have a back parking lot which is nice but a lot of the spots are reserved for other businesses, street parking wasn't too difficult to find but may need to walk a bit. Went back to Garcia Bros. so that my wife could give it a try, and managed to slide into a table just before the big rush of people arrived. Our server was quick and friendly, and kept checking on us despite having quite a few tables. We were seated outside, and the cafe atmosphere led to a nice conversation with the couple at the adjoining table. All nice. Food looked fantastic as always, but there was a tiny glitch this time. I think they forgot to make my wife's Crispy French Toast, because our order arrived after those at several tables who ordered after us. My breakfast sandwich (eggs, bacon and cheddar) was perfectly composed, but a little on the cool side, as were the hash browns -- it seemed as if the plate had been sitting for a bit. My wife's French Toast was picture perfect (see the photo), but very dry inside, as if they rushed to make it and didn't let the bread soak in the batter. The daily special Tiramisu French Toast (also pictured) was ordered by our neighbors, and they said the inside was moist -- that's why I think there was a glitch with our food. That said, this kind of slip-up can happen anywhere, and wouldn't dissuade either of us from coming back. It's a busy place with a very creative menu, and sometimes stuff happens. read more

From all the reviews and comments about this place, it was about time I tried it out. Mind you I've tried loads of time stopping by but the wait time, it was a turnoff. It was always half an hour to forty five minutes each time I've been. We ended up just leaving instead. Finally today, a Friday late breakfast. There was a group of 6 waiting when we arrived. Checked in at the host counter for first available which they were able to seat us within a couple minutes. The restaurant itself isn't big. A few tables inside but majority of the seating was outside. It was already packed when we arrived. First available was inside which was fine. Menu wise, pretty much breakfast and lunch. I think they're known for their matcha pancakes as it seemed to be on every other table. I don't think there's alcohol as it wasn't on the menu. Started off with a glass of OJ and one of the smoothies. Noho smoothie with fresh strawberries, bananas, orange juice and mango puree. It was quite nice and refreshing. Meals, the meat lover omelette served with ham, pork sausage, bacon, eggs and cheddar cheese. That came with a side of fries or hash brown. And the breakfast quesadillas which was on the special. Basically the breakfast burrito but quesadillas. Accompanied by sour cream and pico de gallo. Waitress did mentioned if we would like some homemade salsa as well. Food was good, simple but tasty. Looking at all the sweet dishes, it was quite appetizing but I prefer something savory for breakfast. Finally was able to try this place out and it was nice. We decided to stay because of all the good Yelp reviews, and they seated us around the 30-35 minute mark. Service once seated was good. What we ordered + thoughts: Pistachio Matcha Latte - The flavor itself was really good, but the powdered/ground pistachios made it grainy and hard to drink. It honestly made my throat tickle and cough. A smooth drink should be smooth, not gritty. I think if they strained it, it would be way better. Tiramisu Latte - This was good and not as sweet as I expected (which I liked). The cookie on top, though, was not good..kinda stale and more for looks than taste. Supreme Burrito (popular on Yelp) - Disappointing. Both me and my friend didn't like it. It lacked flavor, needed more cheese to hold it together, and was falling apart. Some sauce or salsa inside would've helped a lot..it was way too dry and bland. I would not order this again. Ube Pancake - The winner. Not overly sweet, came with berries and whipped cream, and I really enjoyed it. Overall, I wouldn't say it's worth a long wait, but I do want to come back to try other things like the chilaquiles and the matcha pancakes. Stopped by here after our gym session. Hubby enjoyed his burrito. I wished the avocado toast had more chunky avocados instead of a thin spread. The eggs were just perfectly poached. Nice place for brunch! I came here on a Sunday around 11am with my friends and we waited about 30 minutes to be seated. My friend had to check in with the host because people who came after us, were seated before us. The host told us our name was crossed out which i was interesting because we were waiting outside the entire time and no one called our name. Anyways, after waiting 30 minutes to be seated, we waited an additional 20 minutes for our food. The restaurant was pretty busy so i can understand why service is so slow. We got the matcha pancakes breakfast sandwich, and eggs Benedict. The breakfast sandwich was alright; your typical savory bacon and egg sandwich. The eggs benedict was a little bland and I wish the holandaise sauce had a bit more salt/flavor. The chorizo was good and had a nice little kick to it. However the hashbrowns were a little soggy and needed to be toasted a little more. The matcha pancakes was very tasty! It was very creamy and fluffy, and i like how it was not too sweet. You can actually taste the matcha in the cream and pancakes which isn't too strong, but it's still there! Overall, I would give this place another try, perhaps on a day when it isn't so busy. I've now been to Garcia Bros Cafe a few times and each visit has been a really positive experience. The place is on teh smaller side but it is clean, modern, and very well put together. Parking was never an issue for me and I have also never had trouble finding seating when I visited. The food has been consistently good every time I've come here. One of my favorites was the chorizo eggs benedict served with crispy hash browns. The poached eggs were cooked well and the chorizo added a lot of flavor. The hash browns had a nice golden crisp and made the plate fell hearty and satisfying. I also tried the avocado toast topped with poached eggs and served with hash browns. It was simple but very fresh and balanced, with creamy avocado and perfectly soft eggs. Another time I ordered the tuna wrap with sweet potato fries. The wrap was well filled and flavorful, and the sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Each meal paired well with their house coffee, which I ordered every visit. The coffee was strong, smooth, and exactly what you want with breakfast or brunch. Overall this spot delivers a great casual breakfast and lunch experience. The food is flavorful, the portions are solid, and the service has always been welcoming and attentive. Came here with my mom for lunch, we were seated right away, it was busy too. The service was outstanding, everyone was very friendly and polite. The food was delicious I had the spicy tuna wrap, it had a chipotle sauce that is so flavorful and a little kick to it. I really enjoyed it. Garcia Bros popped up in my Yelp recommendations so I invited my dad here for a Sunday morning breakfast. Man this place is POPULAR. We didn't have a reservation (tip: make one) and waited about 30 minutes for an outdoor table (heated lamps available!) We had an appointment in the area and dropped in for 'brunch.' No wait, and we were seated inside. Indoor seating is limited, but there is some nice outdoor space, as well. I stopped by this Garcia Bros Cafe on Saturday to see what the hype is all about. I drove by this place a couple of times and always saw a line. So I came right when they open to avoid waiting and did street parking because this place doesn't have its own private lot. There a small indoor dining experience but more tables outside. Keep in mind that they won't sit you unless your whole party is there. I got seated inside and I went with the supreme breakfast burrito which was delicious especially with the salsa that comes with it. I also got a side of fruits that came with it which tasted fresh and amazing. I was going to order to go for my family as well so I got the tiramisu pancakes, raspberry crepes, healthy veggies omelette, mama omelette, banana Nutella crepes, hot coffee and a ice chai latte (I asked for light ice) for my to go order. It didn't take long for my to go to come out but they forgot the chai and coffee so I went to the takeout area to ask for it. They filled the chai latte cup with half ice but I didn't say anything. Had an overall great experience here for Saturday brunch! My partner and arrived around 1 pm and put our name on the list with the host outside. She told us it would be about a 30 minute wait, but we were called in less than 10 mins. I started with the cafe de olla and it was perfect. For our meals, I had the spicy chicken omelette with hash browns and my partner and I split the ube pancakes (not a regular menu item as of right now, just a special). The pancakes were definitely the star of the meal for me! Not overly sweet at all and with a great ube flavor. Ate so much I had to unbuckle my pants. The pasta and the matcha pancakes are so good we are keeping this place bookmarked to come back. The pasta is perfectly cooked with an appropriate amount of sauce. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the garlic bread is to die for. The matcha pancakes are perfection. You don't even need syrup to add to it because it's just so tasty! I normally like to drown my pancakes in syrup but didn't need to today. My wife got the the California Pasta. Oh my, were these plates tasty! Probably the most exciting pasta I have had in a long time. I loved the fresh ingredients such as the basil and bell peppers. We also ordered a Supreme breakfast burrito to take home, but gave it a bite and according to my wife, it was one of the best she has tried! We tried the California Pasta and Mama's Omelette. Pasta comes by itself so if you want protein it's additional unfortunately. And the omelette is a decent size for one. Could be shared as well. Barely beat the crowds coming in at opening hour on a drizzly Saturday. People were swarming in and we were able to get a table in the first rush. Was surprised that even people ate outside in the alley patio! Parking was easy as there is street parking and a back lot. The cafe de olla is the only coffee you should get imo. I had the chilaquiles and the matcha pancakes. The pancakes were really sweet and didn't taste too matcha-y to me but I def enjoyed how fluffy they were. The chilaquiles were very filling and solid. The avocado toast was incredible. The service was okay. I think they forgot about us a little bit but it was so busy I can understand why. But when I'm waiting twenty minutes for them to notice us to get the check, it sucks a little bit. I would love to come back and try more on the menu and really see how I feel about this place. A group of us (6) went for breakfast. We had to wait as they only have 2 large tables to accommodate 6. The interior is small, but they have outdoor seatng. The service is extremely friendly and quick. The moment we were seated our server came to take drink orders. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have Cafe de Olla, which was delicious! I ordered the California Benedict and the others had chilaquiles with green salsa, waffles with strawberries, Tiramisu French Toast, avocado toast and a breakfast burrito. The food looks amazing, freshly made. Everyone seemed to enjoy their dishes as there were clean plates all around even though there were a couple of less than 100% satisfaction. I being one of them. The Benedict was beautifully presented with several side options. I chose the fresh fruit. The egg was perfectly poached (runny), but the Hollandaise sauce was a big disappointment. My go to order at most breakfast places is a classic Benedict, especially if it's my first time, which it was. IMO the poached egg and Hollandaise sauce are what makes or breaks the dish. The Hollandaise being the most important. This sauce was smooth, on the thicker side, but had very little flavor and had a slight taste and oiliness of mayonnaise. It was also lacking the acidity of lemon juice, which is a key ingredient in the sauce. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and friendly. I would return, but make a different selection, which there are many and for the Cafe de Olla. read more
