    Huge burrito
    Vee P.

I was in the area and dropped by to try their breakfast burrito - I figured if I found street parking then it was meant to be, and it was! The parking here is so difficult and I will never park in the back ever again because it's so tight and horrible, with only one lane in/out. I came here before for dinner and really enjoyed the food so I'm glad it worked out for me to try their burrito for breakfast. I ordered two carne asada burritos with egg and it was delicious with their spicy salsa. I love their spicy salsa! The burrito was big and the filling was proportionate. The meat was tender and delicious. The service was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was clean.

One of the best chorizo breakfast burritos I've had! Delicious, Huge-size burritos and each bite just melts in your mouth. They serve it with a side of salsa and pico de gallo. Absolutely delicious and filling! The spot is a hole in the wall type of place with amazing and warm customer service. Very low key spot, but more than makes up for it with service and the quality of food. Will definitely be back!

Nothing but great things to say about this place! The food was delicious! We went in a group and each thing we ordered was cooked perfectly, the flavors were amazing! The staff were very friendly, and helpful, they went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our food and had all we needed! We will definitely be back! The outdoor seating was perfect! The place is very clean, inside and out! The place is very well kept!

Huevos con Machaca and a side of chorizo

Really wanted to like their food from the amazing looking pictures on their page. We ordered breakfasts to-go and unfortunately neither plate was what we expected. I ordered the chilaquiles and requested both red and green since it was my first time trying them out I wanted to taste both salsas. I know it's a tricky dish for take out considering texture but we live close by so I wasn't concerned. And as I expected the texture of the chilaquiles was fine. You can tell they'd been drenched in salsa at one point with nice softness but not soggy. However they were lacking salsa once packed and severely severely lacking flavor. All I could taste was a small hint of tomatillo. My husband ordered huevos con machaca with a side of chorizo. I tried the machaca and again it was extremely bland. The chorizo was packed in its casing which was not aesthetically pleasing but at least it had flavor. The only thing that stood out was the rice and beans; now THOSE were delicious. They also don't have cafe de olla which was a bummer for a Mexican breakfast. Overall the only compliments I can give out is for their rice and beans and how generously portions are served. Unfortunately it just totally missed the mark on flavor.

The molcajete and micheladas were delicious. Everything was affordable as well. Both the inside and outside were very loud but I expected it nonetheless. The service was great.

When there are this many five star reviews, you have to pay attention and check it out!!! Be forewarned! This place ain't fancy!!! Look past the environment because the food and the service will make you feel like you're dining in someone's kitchen in their home!! And the homemade freshly made tortillas are worth the trip itself!!! I ordered Machaca and eggs which came with a generous side of rice and beans, which were absolutely delicious!!! I also like to order an à la cart chile relleno because it's usually a nice small side. This chile relleno was the size of the plate and was probably the best chile relleno I've had in my life. EVERYTHING was so fresh and filling! Reasonable prices for such generous portions! And the ladies who work there were just lovely and friendly and attentive! This place is a little out of the way up on Parthenia, but it's well worth my drive to come back again and try more things on their menu. Highly recommend!!!

The service was like I was eating at my mom's but the food fell short. The music and ambiance made up for it and I would come back to try something else

So bomb. This little spot serves up some delicious, authentic Mexican food and man it hits. Good options for all meals including breakfast, and the people are nice. Our to-go order was cooked quickly but they def didn't cut any corners. My rancheros were wonderful from the sauce to the homemade tortillas. We also ordered a burrito and chilaquiiles rojos and everyone loved what they had. Definitely come visit this gem!

    Carne asada fries
    David T.

Finally some good carne asada fries! Fries and the carne asada seasoned to perfection the sour cream guacamole and cheese complement each other very well! My go too spot when it comes to getting carne asada fries. If you want more flavor put some hot sauce that they give you to give it a kick you won't regret it!

We had to go to our eye, we are not from this area so I yelped best Mexican food near by and Daisy's had great reviews. We took a chance and actually passed by it, it's a little hole in the wall. When we arrived the music was playing loud and I hesitated. We were greeted by two very nice waitstaff ladies. They quickly gave us homemade chips with chorizo bean dip that was delicious. I ordered the asada burrito it was full of meat and delicious. My husband had a Shrimp Torta with cactus, it's was so good!! The tortillas were handmade and also very good!! I highly recommend Daisy's the prices were very reasonable especially considering our current economy. Can't wait until next year's eye appointment, we are coming back.

The complimentary bread was soft, warm, and incredibly fresh and the perfect start to the meal. The calamari was fried to perfection and was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and not greasy at all. We also ordered the seafood tower, which was outstanding. One of the highlights was the selection of oysters, and Catherine did an amazing job helping us choose the best variety. Her knowledge and recommendations made a huge difference and elevated the entire experience. The seafood tower also came with three delicious ceviches, each fresh, flavorful, and uniquely prepared. The mussels were another standout dish, perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. To top it all off, the Lure Blonde on draft was excellent and paired wonderfully with the seafood. As amazing as the food was, the real reason I'm taking the time to write this review is Catherine. I don't normally leave Yelp reviews, in fact, this is my very first one but her service was so exceptional that I felt compelled to go out of my way and recognize her. Catherine was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about every item on the menu, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience. She anticipated our needs, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made us feel welcomed throughout the entire meal. It's rare to come across someone who combines professionalism, personality, and hospitality so effortlessly. Great food gets people through the door, but exceptional service keeps them coming back. Catherine delivered exactly that. Lure is fortunate to have her, and we'll absolutely be returning because of the experience she helped create.

There were six of us, including two young children, so we intentionally booked an early dinner. Even with a reservation, we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. That wasn't a big deal. The bigger issue was the pace of the meal. We didn't receive our first appetizer until around 6:00 PM, and our entrees didn't arrive until about 6:20 PM. By then, the kids were definitely getting hungry. The good news is that the food was worth the wait. Between the six of us, we sampled everything from seafood and sushi to salads, tacos, vegetables, and desserts. Every dish was a hit. The birthday chocolate cake was a nice touch, and the bread pudding and butter cake were a great way to end the evening. Our server was friendly and did everything possible to make sure we had a good experience. As the restaurant filled up, though, it became obvious they simply didn't have enough staff to keep up with the crowd. We spent about two hours at dinner, and much of that time was waiting for food to arrive. Will we go back? Probably. Next time, though, I'll plan on a leisurely evening rather than a quick dinner, even with an early reservation. Despite it being a busy spot, we were seated right away, which is a huge plus when you have little ones in tow! The Drinks & Starters We started with the Horchata and the Pineapple Water (Agua de Piña). Both were refreshing, authentic, and clearly made with care. If you like traditional Mexican drinks, these are a must-try. The Food Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and felt incredibly fresh. A standout for us was the homemade corn tortillas--you can really taste the difference! Our table shared: * Mojarra & Pescado al Mojo de Ajo: Perfectly cooked and seasoned. * Lobster Plate: Succulent and generous. * Surf & Turf Tacos: These were a highlight! Loaded with carne asada and creamy guacamole, then topped with perfectly grilled shrimp. Each plate comes with rice, beans, and a side salad, but they are super flexible--we were able to substitute fries for the rice and beans on some plates, which is great for picky eaters or just a change of pace. Service & Atmosphere The restaurant is tucked away in a shopping center, so parking was easy to find, which takes the stress out of the arrival. Even though the dining room was buzzing and busy, our waitress was incredibly nice and the entire staff was well-attended to our needs. Bottom line: If you're looking for delicious, flavorful seafood in a family-friendly environment, Marisco Corona is the place to go. We will definitely be back!

It's a restaurant with an overall speakeasy vibe BUT is not dark and foreboding. Rather, its high ceilings, well spaced out tables, and appropriately lit dining/bar space has a welcoming, cool vibe! And the music to fill the space before the live music was well, my kinda music - vibey 80s/90s hip hop. On top of that, the STAFF - the folks we met on a Monday (senior citizen hour) night were incredibly kind and attentive. We did stay through the first set of musicians that performed and it was great. Loud, but not loud enough that me and my friend couldn't still talk. Now onto the food. A nice surprise, considering this is a music joint! That bread was solid. The side portions decent - mushrooms and broccoli were fine. The steak was a generous size, cooked appropriately medium rare, and came with a unique side of bone marrow salsa. That was a nice, interesting touch. Was it the BEST food I've ever had? Not exactly, BUT it was the best food as part of a music joint, in the Valley. So the 5 star rating is really for the OVERALL experience.

**TL;DR: Great food, but terrible seating layout and "VIP" policy ruins the experience**…read more We booked a reservation well in advance and explicitly selected the main dining room, looking forward to the live music experience Verse is known for. Instead, we were placed to the right of the stage in a row of three 2-person tables (which they still consider the "main dining room"). For a venue centered around a performance, this layout makes zero sense: You only see the backs and profiles of the band, and the tables are positioned so that one person literally has their back to the stage the entire night. It felt like a second-class experience that completely missed the mark on value. Seeing three empty tables with proper views, we asked the hostess if we could move. We were told no because they were "completely booked and reserved for VIPs." Some time later, a manager came by to say that one of the VIPs hadn't showed up so a table was now available (the VIP by the way was an off-duty worker there). We didn't end up moving; the whole interaction left us with really mixed, sour feelings. It's incredibly frustrating to know regular paying customers who book ahead are treated as second-tier while prime tables sit empty for no-show "VIPs." Valet is $15 by the way. Due to the subpar experience and being stuck in a corner, I just couldn't in good conscience order the way I typically do, which usually includes multiple appetizers, several pasta and main dishes, dessert, and a great bottle of wine or champagne. Instead, we heavily scaled back our meal. As for what we did try, the kitchen has real highlights but a few misses. We started with the Peruvian scallops (5 to an order), served cold, ceviche-style, which had good flavor. For mains, the lobster tagliatelle was excellent. However, the mushroom linguini fell short; the pasta was far too tough and needed a couple more minutes of cooking, and it was oversaturated with a mornay sauce that completely overpowered the dish. To drink, the rosé was crisp and fresh. Overall, while some of the food is excellent, the poor floor layout and frustrating seating policies made this an extremely disappointing experience that wasn't worth the premium price.
