Man oh man! I love this spot. Very homey vibe inside with the interior feeling like you're in someone's grandmas house. DELICIOUS food. Ofc the name states to get the waffles but dang is everything else really yummy. I did not expect their breakfast burrito to hit the way it did but it was delicious. Got a waffle on the side to enjoy with their house made jam and some butter. Great breakfast spot but i'd say come early bc it does get a bit busy. Service was good and quick and they're always refilling your coffee. Can't wait to come back again.
I have been coming here for 10+ years now and I always try something new! This time around I have tried the chilaquiles burrito and it was... interesting. Would I try again? Nope! But the eggs with chorizo was soooo good! Will come back to try something else that's new! Always a pleasure going with a staff so friendly and accommodating!
My family and I were first-time visitors to this extremely popular and busy restaurant. By the end of our meal, we became fans. Located in the Encino Town Center, I am so happy that my daughter recommended this restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is large, with numerous well-stocked tables and many more tables located outside for patio dining. There also appeared to be a mid-sized banquet room off to one side, behind closed doors, which several guests were exiting to use the restrooms. The entire staff was very friendly, hard-working, and attentive to each of their assigned tables. The specialty here is the waffles; however, their menu is HUGE!!! It offers guests a variety of other food options, including pancakes, salads, omelets, crepes, and more. My family and I ordered Nutella crepes, peach waffles, frittata, and seasoned potatoes. Each item was DELICIOUS, fresh, and well prepared. We plan to return here soon to try other great-sounding options on the menu. This was a very positive dining experience.
Stopped by this gem because I was craving a good breakfast. Well, what can I say. We were referred to the right place. I ordered the Encino's Egg White Frittata. This was delicious!! The eggs were light, and fluffy. The veggies were tender , and vibrant, not too mushy, and lastly the cheese on top was a little gooey, stretchy, and blistered. This frittata was perfect. I didn't try my table mates dishes but I'm sure they were delicious. Both plates were empty when we left. I will definitely be back to try a different dish in the future.
Well, I thought I found a little gem. Nope everybody knows about this gem. This place was literally jumping and in the best way possible so nice to see a small business doing so well so good to have good food and I loved that the owner was walking around the whole time making sure everybody was having a great experience. She was lovely. Food is fantastic. Waffles were great. I had an omelette and a waffle so definitely overindulged but absolutely worth every bite. I cannot wait to go back again. There was 1 million things I wanted on this menu that I couldn't get they had crêpes waffles Benedict's omelette, salad sandwiches so many things I could barely keep up. It was amazing.
This is my second time going here, and the food is delicious! The service is good and the food comes out really fast. The Californian omelette is big and comes with a good amount of bacon and cheese inside. We upgraded our waffle to the Nutella waffle (with half banana and half strawberry). Everything was delicious. The only con is that the food is on the pricier side. Also, I believe we were charged extra for doing half strawberries and half bananas (and were not told that was an extra charge by our waitress) Also, the wait can be really long so definitely join ahead of time online! Other than that, the food is delicious and I will be back
The food portions are HUGE and well worth the price and wait! Great diner for large families as it seems they don't require reservations for large parties. You SHOULD expect a wait, especially on the weekend. The wait is anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on when you line up. I arrived at 9:30AM on Father's Day and waited about 70 minutes to be seated at 10:40AM. The front of house did estimate about an hour wait and she was right. The Yelp waitlist isn't super accurate as people do leave the queue, I was 18th in line when I was seated. The staff are doing their best to get the food and customers in and out. They are quick and the food comes out fast and hot! I'm shocked that they were still able to check up on their tables and be friendly while fielding so many orders and customers! Speaks to their great customer service. Ronnie's Scrumptious Breakfast - 5/5, deliciously made homestyle potatoes they were piping HOT. The bacon and cheese cooked in and over medium egg were delicious!! I loved the tomato salsa that came with the food. Eggs Benedict waffles - 5/5, WOW the hollandaise sauce is on the thinner side and has a nice tang to it which makes it less heavy and easier to eat! Perfectly poached eggs and PLENTY of waffle real estate Cup of chili - 5/5, love that they top with red onion and cheese. Sweet, savory homemade chili, what's not to like!
Best waffles in town, been going here since we moved to Encino many years ago. However I haven't been back in a few years as my kids got older and prefer to sleep in than go out for breakfast. However the past holiday weekend my youngest woke up early so I told him we will go to the waffle place. Got there before 9am so we were seated right away. We sat inside and we both ordered an omelette with the waffles as the side. Service was fast but the only thing is that the eggs are overcooked. On the photo you can see the edges were brown on my order (Californian). The servings are huge so we only ate half of the omelettes we ordered and finished off the waffles. I had the Californian and my son had Denver. The Californian is a folded omelette while Denver flat. I prefer my son's omelette than mine. Next time I'll just have the waffles! Oh and they put jam and salsa that's really good to put on anything - even the waffles.
Visited More Than Waffles Saturday before Mother's Day for brunch. Was originally excited to try their food as their menu is extensive and had many options available from classic breakfast plates, Mexican twists and of course, waffles! While two kind waiters originally came to our group to just offer coffee and water, a hostess randomly came up to our group and rudely said "well, your group has been here for 40 minutes now and still haven't ordered and we need the tables". First and foremost, our group had not been there for 40 minutes yet, and if we had been, that would have showed how delayed their service was. Secondly, the hostess came off very rude and aggressive, she could have asked if we were just ready to order. Finally, we had been waiting for someone to take our order the entire time! We kindly advised we had been waiting to order. She ruined the vibes for the entire group, and we did not feel welcome for the rest of the experience. The waiters were extremely kind, just not whoever the hostess was on 5/9/26. Waffles came out first, would have made more sense to have them after the main meal. Eggs Benedict were very traditional, seasoned well but nothing to rave for. They definitely have a different take on chilaquiles, not what I was expecting but decently seasoned. Food is around 6.5-7/10. Well seasoned, flavorful but not unique. Not coming back to this location to due the experience unfortunately.
A very busy Saturday before Mother's Day. I love the WaitList they use through Yelp. I have been here before and waited over an hour to be seated. I was with my daughter and 2 granddaughters, celebrating Mother's Day. The patio area is very pretty, with the water fountain and umbrellas. The inside was like a cozy home decor. Very comfortable seating, It was very loud. I ordered the french toast waffle with fresh strawberries, kiwi and berries. I declined the whip cream and nuts and didn't use the melted butter and syrup that came with it. My waffle was delicious, with mounds of fruit, although mine was delivered about 10 minutes after everyone else, and it wasn't a french toast waffle. My daughter had the traditional eggs benedict with potatoes, which she enjoyed. My pregnant granddaughter had eggs benedict, but removed one of the english muffins and added avocado. She was very happy. My youngest granddaughter also had the eggs benedict, but with fruit. We all left full. The service was very good, in spite of the busy day.
Totally worth the hype. We had some guests from out of town and we took them here recently. They offer an incredible variety of waffles and breakfast items here. My bf couldn't believe you could get ice cream on your waffles haha. I really enjoyed the bbq omelette. I'd never think to put bbq sauce on an omelette but here I am, savoring every last bite. I wanted to split it into two meals but I couldn't stop eating it. I'd come again in a heartbeat, although I'd try and come during the week as opposed to the weekend because the wait is probably unbearable during most weekends. Ample parking because it's a strip mall. Also if you sit outside, they have plenty of heaters so won't shiver while you eat.
Wow what a hidden gem!! You don't even know about this spot since it's in the back of the shopping center. This place was crazy busy and packed as expected for a great spot and weekend brunch. We put our names down and waited maybe 15-20 minutes. Beautiful view of the fountain and they have nice seating outside. We got to sit inside where the AC was blasting lol. Food also came out really quick after we ordered! He got some potatoes with egg and I got the chilaquiles with added avocado and tortilla chips on the side so they don't get soggy. Huge portion so there were definitely some leftovers! Super delicious and love how quick the service was. Wish it had the green verde sauce but the salsa was nice and not spicy. Food is great! 5 stars for food...everything else definitely could use some improvement. Make sure you do the yelp waitlist. Check in with the front when you arrive and be on top of your waitlist. We waited more than an hour, then got a text saying we were taken off. Front of house said we were supposed to check in with them (but never got a text)...party in front had same issue...didn't apologize or anything...waited probably 10 more min then we were sat for party of 3. 3 of us ordered: mushroom omelette $20.95 upgrade to blueberry waffle $7.50 side potatoes $5.95 cali omelette with waffle $21.95 OJ $5.25 Waffle is truly light and crispy, best I've had! Solid omelet. For the most part, staff is friendly, could be a bit more attentive. Older building. Layout of the place could definitely be more optimized...but why change anything when they're so busy haha. Overall, food here is great! Just be mindful of everything up to getting food on the table. Will be back!! Curious to see how the waffle holds up for takeout.
More Than Waffles is one of my favorite places to meet friends for breakfast! The portions are HUGE, the food is consistently good, and there are so many choices on the menu. I always get the caramel latte, which I love, and today my friend ordered the mocha. For breakfast, I had the French Toast Combo with two pieces of French toast, two eggs, and three strips of bacon. It was a LOT of food! They were also able to scramble my eggs with milk, which I really appreciated because it makes them so much fluffier. I also really appreciated that my eggs and bacon were served on a separate plate from my French toast. It's a small detail, but I loved that everything wasn't all piled together. My friend ordered the Belgian Omelette with tomatoes, mushrooms, bacon, and cheddar. I took a photo of the outside, but the photo definitely doesn't show just how packed this omelette was! The staff is always friendly, and I love that they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. I honestly don't think I've ever sat inside because sitting outside by the fountain is such a nice way to enjoy breakfast, especially in the cooler morning hours. If you're looking for a breakfast place with generous portions, lots of variety, and consistently good food, More Than Waffles is definitely worth a visit. They serve lunch too, although breakfast is clearly the star of the menu. I haven't tried lunch yet, but considering how consistent everything else has been, I'll have to give it a try one of these days! read more
This spot is a hidden gym. Do yourself and party a favor and book your spot in line on Yelp before heading in. Staff is always friendly and decided to finally leave a review. Came in with a party of five and checked in beforehand. The entire restaurant was packed and we could still maintain a conversation in the dining area inside. The housemaid salsa is delicious and goes great with their omelettes. The Mediterranean omelette is pretty good, light and refreshing. The Belgian waffle is a must especially with the side of butter and Housemade strawberry jam. Recommend going with friends so you can try more things. read more

This is now my favorite breakfast spot! Took a flyer on a Mighty Meat Savory Crepe and I am so glad I did! Eggs, sausage, ham and bacon all in their super thin cozy sleeping bag of a crepe. Country potatoes were flavorful and slightly burnt just how I like them. Single pancake with melted butter was soo thick! More than that, the service was TOP TIER! Idk how many coffee and water refills I agreed to but I appreciate the staff being so on top of it! Came on a Friday before 10:00AM and there's no wait. Service and food were all really good and the ambiance was very quaint and fitting! My friends and I ordered The Big G, Ronnie's breakfast bowl, the Sante Fe Benedict, and we also got a lemon lover Belgian waffle to share. Something that stood out right away were that the portions were enormous, especially the Santa Fe Benedict. All the good was delicious and my personal favorite was the waffle, which is rare. This place is a bit tucked away--downstairs behind a large mall off Ventura Boulevard--but free parking helps, and clearly word has gotten out. When I arrived around 10:30 on a Monday morning, it was already packed, especially with families and large groups. The operation runs like a well-oiled machine. Service is attentive and efficient without feeling rushed: coffee cups are constantly refilled, water glasses never empty. The interior is warm and homey, cozy in a way that makes you want to linger. Portions are generous--almost too generous--and after watching waffle after waffle glide past my table, I regretted my choice. I went with the ham and cheese crêpe, which wasn't quite what I'd hoped for. The crêpe itself was a bit soggy and overwhelmed by melted cheddar. That said, the flavors were good, and the breakfast potatoes were excellent. Lesson learned: waffles next time. read more

A basic and plain Belgian waffle When the waffle arrived I smiled ear to ear It was light and fluffy and each square sat waiting to be filled with syrup. Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Quick search on my car gps for breakfast and found this place nearby, so decided to give it a try. After I parked, I couldn't find the restaurant. After checking outdoor pictures from Yelp, found out it's located inside of the building. I like waffle Benedict, pancakes was very fluffy, but not a big fan of Greek omelette since I m a meat eater. If you want meat, you have to add them in. The highlight was the service, I was about to order few different dishes and she reminded me that their portions are big. Parking: Super easy! Large free parking lot in front of the strip mall Experience: I joined the Yelp waitlist from home for my party of 3 at around 9:20am on a Saturday morning. The estimated time said 10:06-10:26am, so we got there around 10am, but we weren't actually seated till 10:40am. However, once we did get a table, service was extremely (insanely) fast!! The menu was so extensive and everything looked delicious! I got the lemon Belgian waffle and it wasn't my favorite but my friends liked their waffles! Met my buddy here. We both came from 20-30 minutes away. Parking lot is tight and spaces are scarce. Great outdoor environment. 15 minute wait at 10:30am Saturday. Patio table by the fountain. Most the tables are for 4, so ample room. Wonderful server. Had this oddly-looking, wonderfully delicious ham and eggs crepe with their handmade side sauces (sweet jelly and chili salsa. Fantastic!!! Five stars! BUT...I'm not sure if I would have liked eating inside as much much as I did eating on the patio. read more

I'd say usually, if you join the waitlist at 11am, you may be seated by 1pm so just time it well lol The ham cheese and egg crepe (forgot the name) was delicious and looked pretty unique, I wasn't expecting a burrito looking thing but wow it is huge and they stuff it generously!! I had fruits as a side bc boy, that thing was big, I could only eat half! They always give you two sauces: a spicy one for savory dishes (tasted so bomb with the crepe and honestly any other egg dishes) and some berry marmalade which does so well with their waffle (which I'd also recommend. After all that's what they specialize in, according to their name!). We were searching for a brunch spot and came upon More than Waffles, and boy, am I glad we did. It's a little hidden gem in the Encino Commons Plaza down a flight of stairs. They have in restaurant dining and a spacious patio area. Their food is so good. I ordered their Waffle Benedict with ham and extra hollandaise sauce on the side and my BF ordered their Hash & Eggs with side of Sausage. Everything came out surprisingly fast after ordering and let me tell you...everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The portions were big and the service was great! it's daintily a spot worth coming or putting on your bookmark!! Make sure to add yourself on their waitlist. Mediterranean Omelette w/Waffle: The fluffiness & flavor of the Belgian Waffle was everything! The omelette is phenomenal! A delicious combo of feta cheese, tomatoes, garlic, mushroom, basil, mozzarella, and feta cheese! Yes, please! I highly recommend both! You get to choose between a waffle or pancakes when ordering the omelette! Scenery: The sight and soothing sounds of a beautiful waterfall, including gorgeous flowers ! Love More Than Waffles! One of my favorite breakfast spots in the Valley. The food is always super solid and they have pretty large portions. They have all kinds of sweet, savory and even health conscious options. My most recent visit was a little on the average side. Our waitress just seemed like she didn't really want to speak to us. My two year old was talking to her and we thought it was cute and she didn't even look at him. She could have been having a bad day I guess, but it just feels so awkward when you are ordering food from someone who's giving off the vibe like you are bothering them. Plenty of parking which is always a plus, love the outdoor seating area. They have giant fans that help to keep things cool on warmer mornings. Also a big fan of their coffee. I could drink a dozen cups of it! More than Waffles is the definition of "IYKYK" because you would never know it was there from just driving by. It's tucked way inside the shopping center and down a level. Located right next to the big fountain! It can get busy in the mornings, but not if you go on the earlier side. It's always such a pleasure to come here while visiting the Valley. Although I moved to The Antelope valley the SFV will always be my home. I came to have breakfast with my family and let me tell you the service is always amazing. Our waitress was so kind and went above and beyond. She kept refilling our drinks and took care of us. I have a toddler and she's wild but our server was so kind to bring her fruit out fast so that she had something to eat since she was fuzzy. We were sat in the patio and it was a beautiful day to eat outside I ordered the Belgian waffle with banana strawberry and Nutella and it is always a favorite. I got the combo with eggs and bacon and a side of home fries. The salsa that they give you here is the bomb, com I could eat a whole jar. The jam here is homemade so it is always a hit especially with sourdough toast. Shout out to the bus boys that always serve us as well they are the backbone of the restaurant. I had brunch here on a busy Saturday at 11 am, there was a wait as expected but it took less time than they had shared and the texting update was great so you knew it was "almost" your time. I loved the food - my waffle was delicious and our server brought us some of the housemade strawberry jam to try - SO good! I was tempted to just eat it lol. The service was great - everyone was really friendly and the staff was super aware of refilling waters which I really appreciate. I'll definitely be back. They have underground parking underneath the shopping plaza and I've never had an issue finding a spot. You can access it by turning into the shopping plaza on the side further from Balboa Blvd. there is some parking on the road level on an open lot…
Any Vegan options here?
Yes my son is vegan and he has been able to have entrees for him.
We're looking for a place to invite about 20 to 25 people for a brunch. I remember this place from at least 20+ yrs ago and would just love to have our 30th anniversary here. Is there space for this without having to split up guests in sets of four?
Yes just ask for their back room it holds about 50-60 people, I had my son's Birthday there. Happy Anniversary, may you celebrate your 60th there as well. ??❤️
