Came here with a couple of friends for breakfast/brunch on the weekend. They opened at 8 and we were able to get a table immediately which was a pleasant surprise. The service from sitting down to leaving was exceptional and welcoming as our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. I ordered the Bee Eggs Benedict which was packed with flavor. The serving was adequate and what I think sets it apart from other eggs Benedict's I've had is that they kept this simple. Some versions have so much going on and the flavors contrast each other leading more to a mush. This version is much more direct so that the flavor from the sauce, eggs, protein and potatoes was highly noticeable. My friend ordered the panwhich which is a play on a pancake sandwich that that serving was huge haha. The inside of the restaurant is very spacious and optimal for small or large parties. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a solid weekend breakfast/brunch joint in the Valley. Wow, I have lived in the area for a long time and I have never seen this restaurant. Family member came into town and suggested we go here. What a pleasant surprise. The ambience is very down to earth, sophisticated earth a place where you can feel like you're at home. The food we found to be outstanding, good quality, great tasting and plentiful. The staff were outstanding, I placed a large order for 15 people, and it did take a while because the kitchen is small so I waited about 30 minutes. My experience here was great because of the helpful service, cozy vibe, and yummy food. First, I found the staff to be very attentive. We were very quickly seated and given water. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and listed out some of the menu favorites. We were checked on and given water regularly, which was great! Second, I love the vibe in here. It's a bigger space than I expected. Within the restaurant there is a main dining area, a side room, and outdoor seating. There's also a little space for selling pastries/desserts that I found quite cute. As the name suggests, there is a humble vibe. The parking situation is a bit limited. I happen to work across the street from the hidden gem that is the Humble Bee! The space inside is absolutely lovely & has a homey feel to it. The food is all sourced from local farmers & vendors. The servers are absolutely amazing, special shoutout to the wonderful Maddie! My tuna melt with side salad was beyond delicious, I savored every bite. Came here for Brunch today. Parking is Atrocious, off the bat. Opt to locate parking on Saticoy. If you park on the south side of Saticoy avoid jaywalking as it's too unsafe and you're better off walking further to use the crosswalk. This place has a nice atmosphere kinda reminds me of a cafe I'd see in Venice, Ca. Has a Boho vibe. We were acknowledged right away. Wait time was just over 5 minutes. Were given the option of where to sit, and that was nice. Staffing today was lower than what they should've had for a Sunday and service was slightly lacking as a result. That's primarily the reason for the 4 Star review. Staff overall was very hospitable and friendly. Ordered the pancakes and Chilaquiles. I ordered a coffee with cream on the side. Cream was never brought over had to request it. I also expected our waitress to check and refill the coffee more than what we experienced. Pancakes with fresh fruit were fluffy and spot on. Chilaquiles portion was smaller than I'm used to. Lacked chips. However the flavor was incredible. Slightly on the spicier side, but probably some of the best tasting Chilaquiles I've had anywhere. Such a cute little place! I love the room on the left with all of the natural light, feels like you're eating outside without all of the valley heat. The food was good and gave very cozy home cooked meal vibes. For drinks we got a Green Flash, chai, and coffee. Juice was great but the chai was amazing, will definitely be coming back for that. We ordered two orders of the Farm boy, one with regular bacon and the other with turkey bacon. Pretty good! Loved the little pancakes but just wished the potatoes were cooked a little longer or were cut a little thinner. We also got a side of sourdough toast and their homemade jam. Sourdough was good just slightly over toasted which was fine and then jam was also good, not too sweet more on the sour side. Our waitress was also very nice. EVERYTHING WENT WELL...even for my very picky inlaws. This little hidden gem was a nice surprise after a sorority event for my daughter. Brunch on a Saturday was a treat while we were visiting in October. The Pumpkin Spice pancakes were awesome and moist I had the special Carnitas breakfast tacos and my inlaws had the Benedict and omelet. Ryan was very attentive and efficient with service and recommendations Coffee and lattes were hot and the bakery pastries were hard to choose from. Along with my latte I also had the Dr.Feel Good juice and it was very good and just what the doctor ordered. There were plenty of seating options inside the two dinning rooms and patio seating when the weather is nice. The pancakes with fruit, French toast, one of the omelette and the animal style. Presentation, clean and simple. Nothing crazy as the food is the focal point. The French toast, that looked amazing. Thick pieces of bread with the mascarpone cream I believe and a good amount of berries. Pancakes, simple and classic. Nice portion both with the stack and fruit. Then you have the omelette, that was with toast and with a side of salsa and butter. It was quite nice and pretty filling. Lastly you have the animal style. A pile of potatoes with ground turkey, caramelized onions and topped with two over easy eggs. I don't remember that on the menu years back. It was quite nice but really filling with the potatoes. Overall, service was a little slow at the beginning. Did have to ask for a refill but afterwards it was great. Staff were all friendly. Food did take a little while but it was good. They still have baked good I believe that's available for purchase as well. We used to pick up a bottle of champagne next door from the store to make mimosas prior as they didn't have a liquor license. Not sure if that's still allowed. Came here last Sunday for the first time since the pandemic. Around 930 am the small parking lot was already filling up but there's plenty of street parking. No wait and got sat immediately. Our waiter was hilarious with her jokes between us figuring out what to order and reminding me they never sold oatmeal. I only had a bite of the panwich but that thing was heavy and filling. I give this place 3.7/ 5. Inside is a chill atmosphere. Clean and warm design. It is not a bog space so they work what they have. Hospitality was great and very helpful attendant who knows the menu and made few suggestions. Our order was ham and omelette 3.5/ 5. It was ok decent size. I've been to so many breakfast place and they serve bigger portion for the price. The picadillo burrito was 4/ 5. It was better than expected I should say. The order was also an ok size. Been hankering to go to Humble Bee for a long time and we finally managed to get parking so we could try it! I liked Humble Bee - it has all the right buzz words for me. Farm to table. Outdoor seating. Cozy cafe vibe with lots of plants and wood and some cool design stuff. I just wish the food we got this time had a little more oomph. Got a Benedict, a veggie omelet, and pancakes. Benedict eggs were runny and nice. Good proportion of hollandaise sauce. Petite muffin but proportional. I liked the benedict. The side of potatoes were a little undercooked and had very little seasoning on them, which was a letdown. Turkey sausage was a patty and also a little mild, but some ketchup and S&P helped them out. Veggie omelet had a pretty yummy flavor but the veggies were a little firm. I got this one with salad, which was a good move since the potatoes didn't do it for me at all. It was also just nice to have something light and green. Pancake was a classic diner pancake done well, good syrup, and served with actually ripe strawberries! This was great. I do think maybe sweet is the way to go here but I've been scorned by sweets lately and went savory instead. The chai latte (with oatmilk) was the best part of this meal. Sweet without being overly sweet, a good balance of spices (no overpowering single note!), and creamy dreamy. 10/10 for the chai. When I'm in the mood for sweets, I will return! read more

Even with a small crowd, the interior is designed in such a way that sound bounces off the walls, and it is impossible to have a conversation with the person you are with. Let's start with how amazing service is. As soon as you come in you are greeted with a warm and wonderful smile from the waiter. Victoria was so attentive to our needs and gave us some great recommendations. Food was so delicious and the ambiance was just what you need to start your morning. I really really wanted this place to be good. We've had it on our list for quite a while. The parking situation is pretty awful, luckily we were able to squeeze into a spot even if I could barely get out of my door. We walk inside and this should have been my first clue to leave.. it is LOUD. I could barely hear myself think. I don't know why it's so loud in there, but it must have something to do with the structure of the building. We ordered our food. It came out pretty quick. The food wasn't terrible. I got the ham and cheese omelette that had WAY too much wilted spinach in it. It tasted like I was eating sautéed spinach you would get at dinner time.. inside an omelette. The potatoes were mid. They had some sort of off taste to them. The egg quality seemed very good. My husband got the biscuits and gravy. No complaints there. Was good. The service: we never saw our waitress again after she dropped off the food. Well, we saw her, and she saw us, but she never stopped. We sat there, my food half uneaten waiting for a box and the check and it never came. She tended to all the other tables around us. Looked me dead in the eye several times as she passed by and never stopped or came back. Never got drink refills. Nothing. We finally just went up to the counter and paid and left the food. I've been coming here for a while now and it's honestly one of my neighborhood favorites, which is why this review is a little disappointing to write. I usually order this same meal and genuinely love it, but today just felt like a miss. The toast was extremely thin and hard--almost more like a crisp than bread. I asked if there was another option or even just a different slice, but was told that all the bread was like that, which was surprising since that hasn't been my experience here before. The house-made jam was also off today--it was much more watery than usual and didn't have that same rich texture I'm used to. The potatoes were underwhelming as well--lacking seasoning and slightly burnt. I will say, the server was kind and did bring out a vegan date pastry after I had already received my bill, which I appreciated. It just wasn't something I would typically choose, and nothing was adjusted on the bill. For the price, I just expected more consistency and care, especially from a place I usually really enjoy. I don't mind paying for a good meal, but today it just wasn't up to par. The food is consistently good here! Their ingredients are always seasonal and taste so fresh. They don't have a huge menu, but they have a couple omelette options, pancakes, burritos etc. A nice combo of both savory and sweet options. They also have a lot of veg friendly items! Inside the restaurant is so cozy. It makes you feel like you are in a little cafe in a small town somewhere. They have some large tables available for big groups, and I believe you can call ahead and reserve them. I love all the natural light coming through the windows. Overall, A+ ambiance in my book. I also love that they have a little area to shop local goods. They recently did a remodel and have an additional side patio! This patio is flooded with natural light and plenty of seating, however it isn't closed off from the outside. We actually went on a chilly morning recently and the inside of the restaurant was FREEZING because the door to the side patio was open and all the cold air just came right into the dining room. We told our waitress we were cold and she said there was nothing she could really do. That was the one downside recently was just shivering during out whole meal. Hopefully they have find a solution to close that patio when it's cold or section off the other dining room somehow. It was slightly miserable, but it I would just remember to bundle up next time. By far the worst dining experience I've ever had. We sat down and waited 30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. No greeting, no water, nothing. My friend finally had to get up and repeatedly ask a waiter just so we could be noticed. Even after that, it still took another 20 minutes before we were allowed to place our order. Then came the real problem -- we waited over an hour for our food. After already being there forever, the food didn't arrive until about 20 minutes before closing... and right after we finally got it, we were told we had to leave because the restaurant was closing. So to summarize: We waited over an hour to be served Over an hour for food And were rushed out immediately after getting it No apology, no urgency, and zero customer service. We were looking for a place to have breakfast after volunteering at Hope the Mission making meatballs all Sunday morning, and we saw that Humble Bee was nearby. We headed over, and we noted the parking lot is super small and it was full, so we were able to find street parking. The street is quite a busy main street so just be ready that you might have to walk a little to get to the restaurant. On arrival you can seat yourself, there is plenty of seating in a very spacious venue. The menu is small and concise with varying options from eggs to french toast and pancakes. They also have some really nice juices to choose from, I ended up getting the Basic Bee, which has carrot, apple, strawberry, lemon, ginger, and celery. It was good, not too sweet, and I felt healthier than when I walked in after drinking it. I'm excited to come back again and try some more of their savory options! Definitely a hidden gem! read more
