Been a while since I've visited so decided to get breakfast at 9am on a sunday. Expected a long wait but there was plenty of seats inside and outside. If you bring your pup, there are a few tables outside. Just be aware the sun does hit you so they'll get toasty. You can ask for water bowls. The prices have gone up. I know, everything is going up but $21 for French toast or an omelet was a bit steep for me. We went with the pork belly eggs benedict, the junk, and the pancake balls. In the past, you'd get slices of bread and housemade jams that I was looking forward to, but I guess it was discontinued. The sausage in the pancake balls were pretty dry and dense, but i did like the pancake itself. Our main meals were good, but we werent left craving for more. Our server was polite. He checked on us regularly and ensured our eater cups remained full. I suggest reviewing the menu beforehand to ensure it offers something that will appeal to your entire party.
We got lucky and found parking on the street right in front. Once we got there we waited about 15 min after getting in line via Yelp 15 min before arrival (great feature) on a busy Sunday around 10am. We were seated inside and it's very loud. Our server was nice. I appreciated that they had crayons and a coloring page for my toddler. Between everyone we ordered an omelette, eggs Benedict, a burrito, and pancakes. The food took a while to come out. It was okay, pretty standard brunch food, nothing special. We enjoyed our experience overall but it didn't stand out in any way.
I think I may have found my new fav breaky/ brunch spot! It's located in such a cute Main Street that seating outside is very enjoyable. Our server was such a welcoming and friendly face! I was only bummed because I wanted to try some coffee and their espresso machine was down, HOWEVER our server did such an amazing job at improvising and providing a yummy custom coffee. I got the tomato soup with grilled cheese and OH MYYY it's a must try! The soup was full of rich flavors and the cheese in the bread was to die for! I deff will be coming back.

I'm ADA so the Manager accommodated me with a booth but he did say they don't typically seat one person at a booth especially when they are busy. The food is good loved the role and apple sauce nice touch! The bloody marry was good as well very spicy! The burrito is way too much food for me and a little wet but overall great flavor. Loved the library! Bring a book take a book is such a nice touch. Ambiance is very welcoming. It's on a busy street but plenty of street and meter parking. Came for an early brunch with my family and I'm surprised this place is not more packed. The service was very friendly by everyone working here and the food came out very quickly! The prices are also very fair would recommend to come here for a quick traditional bite to eat.
My girlfriend and I decided to enjoy a meal at Joe's Cafe in Granada Hills. She had been there before, but for myself, it was my maiden voyage into this Sunday brunch scene. Pro Tip: They don't take reservations, but if you go on the Yelp page, you can request to join the Wait List. This makes a huge difference, as you can plan to wait at least 45 minutes during the prime brunch hours on the weekend, and it's so easy to sign up and plan your day. When we arrived, we only had to wait an additional 5-10 minutes within our provided range before we were seated. We were escorted to our table past the dozen or so people waiting outside for a table. The place was packed - both inside and outside. We were given a small two-top inside and provided menus. Our server, Ashley, arrived with a fresh pretzel bun and some seasonal berry and carrot dipping sauces. Ashley was warm, had a great smile, was very polite and totally on top of her sections. The homemade pretzel was great: soft and chewy, served warm. The dipping sauces were quite unique and delicious, with both the berry and the carrot being sweet. Looking over the menu, we decided to each order coffee drinks: Cappuccino for my girl and an Espresso for myself. Also, we had to partake in something called Pancake Balls as an opening appetizer. Served five to an order, these house-made sausages are dipped and fried in pancake batter and accompanied with a maple cream dipping sauce. These arrived within 10 minutes. At first glance, they looked quite good, each one presented with some toothpicks and powdered sugar. Taking that initial bite, the sausage was very hot, indicating they just came out of the deep fryer. The P-Cake Balls were decent, but could have been better in my option. The batter coating fell off the sausage after the first bite and the maple cream dipping sauce really had no flavor. No sweet, no texture, more of a watery mess. While we finished the Pancake Balls and sipping our coffees (which were tasty), my girlfriend ordered the the Croissant Sandwich with Avocado, while I went with the Avocado Breakfast Bruschetta. I could see Ashley running around to multiple tables, doing all she could to keep every hungry patron satisfied. She also checked in on us a few times, which was nice, given the extreme hustle of the restaurant. Within about 15 minutes, our main entrees arrived. The Croissant Sandwich (thick cut bacon, fried eggs and smoked gouda cheese on a buttery croissant, with added avocado) looked quite delicious. The croissant was flaky and all of the ingredients looked and tasted delicious. Personally, I wish the cheese was melted, but my girlfriend enjoyed it. The Avocado Breakfast Bruschetta (fresh pesto avocado bruschetta on a toasted French loaf topped with a sunny side up egg and finished with a balsamic drizzle) was quite good. Simple and straightforward I thought the pesto was delicious and all of the flavor combinations worked. It was definitely a more elevated Avocado Toast. Joe's is a good option for breakfast in this area. The staff are friendly, the portions are solid and the prices average for the quality. The decor is also quite unique and fits in with the localized turf. You'll see some unique artwork, as well as some pretty cool use of kitchen appliances in the form of mixer flower pots and cheese grater and pasta strainer lighting fixtures. The bathrooms are fairly clean (could have used a quick clean up at 11am with an overflowing trash bin in the men's restroom), and the communal kitchen sink is a fun touch. Parking is fairly easy on various main and side residential streets throughout the area.
Joe's food is soo good! We went a as a party of 6 and everyone was more than pleased with our experience. I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy and it was different than any I have had before... but, in a good way! The staff were pleasant and took care of us. The food was brought to us in a proper amount if time and everything was served hot as it was supposed to be. The restaurant itself had a great feel and the ambiance was very eclectic. My husband I looked for a nice brunch place on a Sunday to go to in the valley and pleasantly found Joe's cafe. The entrance is very cute, and I loved the modern open ceiling look with the wood finishes on the interior. Our waitress was super sweet and welcoming, and had great recommendations for us. The bread that was brought to the table to start was sensational. We each ordered a mimosa flight to start, and they came in cute little mini mason jars - the pineapple mimosa was the best. For our food, I ordered the avocado toast, and my husband ordered the burrito. The avocado toast hit on every level, however the burrito seemed like it was half potatoes on the inside to fill it. Overall we will definitely be coming back to try more things!

Kelsey who took care of us was very sweet and friendly. We sat outside and were brought out some water and bread with jam to start off. The two types of jams were amazing. Menu wise for brunch is slightly limited but does have a good selection. For the price of the dishes, what we ordered was mainly a la cart. The omelette came as is accompanied by some orange slices and was pretty thin. Compared to other places that add a good amount of filling. Even toast was a side order and was 5.50. You would think that it comes with your breakfast which it doesn't. Also the junk, which is a pancake sandwich with sausage, eggs, tomatoes and cheese. Same, came with an orange slices and pretty small portion. Had to get a side of fries which portion wise was pretty small as well. Overall service was great and Kelsey was sweet. They do have a happy hour which sounds good. But food, it was ok. For the price, you would expect some kind of sides with it.
My boyfriend loved the pulled pork burger and fries he said he'd rate it 4 stars. Honestly it was pretty big that it was hard to bite into and he had to use a fork and knife to eat it instead lol. The chicken in waffles was a miss for me. I think the gravy, bacon, and cheese was too much. It made the waffles soggy and it was hard to enjoy without feeling overwhelmed by the weird smell. I would like to try it again just the chicken and waffles. The hot chocolate is bomb! So good and sweet. I feel that the service was okay. Maybe they were understaffed or something. Breakfast was okay overall but we are interested in coming again for the dinner service :) hopping the food is a little better.
We arrived about 12:20 on a Monday afternoon. We were seated immediately. We opted to sit inside. Menus distributed. They started us off with a house made pretzel bread and a couple of house made jellies. One jelly was a pineapple rosemary and the other was a mixed berry. Both jellies were really good. The bread was flavorful on its own. My daughter and I decided to share a couple of dishes. I ordered the BLT and added avocado, with a side salad. I chose the house made ranch dressing, for the salad. My daughter had the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The BLT had a spicy jalapeño aioli. The produce was fresh and the sourdough bread was toasted perfectly. I would definitely order this again. The chicken sandwich was a real chicken breast that was more pan fried than deep fried. It was nice to not have a processed pre breaded frozen chicken patty. The sweet potato fries were seasoned well and definitely house made. Overall the food here is really fresh and scratch made. The service was outstanding. It was a great meal.
Came here with some gym friends for a weekday brunch and it was a delight. We sat outside on a day with beautiful weather. 11 of us. The server was fantastic, very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. Had some mimosas to keep the fun going. A very nice spot and you can find street parking all around.

Joe's Cafe is a nice brunch spot in the valley. My family came here for brunch at 9am (no wait) and I got the waffles. They had fresh berries, powdered sugar, whipped cream, and even syrup. It was very crunchy, soft on the inside, and definitely sweet. My grandma got the French toast and it had the same things: berries, whipped cream, and syrup but this time with French toast. My mom got the omelet, my dad had the burrito, and my aunt had the pancake but I didn't try any of those. The service is great and very helpful, and I feel like it has a warm and cozy feeling. Joe's cafe is nice, and I would come again! read more
Probably the only breakfast/brunch restaurant I know of that serves Intelligentsia coffee. Everything is made from scratch all fresh and very high quality. The service is fantastic the ambience is very new style trendy no nonsense basic. The only other similar place I know is in Templeton. We ordered the breakfast Burrito, pork belly hash and the pancake sandwich called "Junk" all of them were delicious. Great job!!! read more
Service was good, friendly waitress. I got the oatmeal and berries which is especially good with whipped cream. I got the mini which honestly wasn't that mini. Girlfriend got the short stack. Honestly, the pancakes were pretty mediocre. My oatmeal though was great. We got a side of biscuits which wasn't southern style but was more like cornbread. All and all good meal, not spectacular and kind of pricey. Ambiance was nice. read more
3/ 5 for this place. Middle of the day and it is hot inside even the AC was on. Steak was over seasoned and it was salty. They fries was also over seasoned and salty. Cmon!!!! It is half way through your day. The water in the bottle was not cold or have around to keep it cool. Maybe we were seated by window near the street and it was warm outside? Well... The stuffed French toast was good. Lots of fruits are on top of it and a good size portion. Service was good and they were helpful and did their best to service us while it was warm inside. This place can do better like get more parking space and add more cooler air inside during the summer. read more

It was my first time trying out Joe's Cafe here in Granada Hills. I opted in for Stuffed French Toast and must say what a WOW dish. I was definitely not expecting French Toast like this, which is a must try when having friends and family visiting. The stuff inside the Stuffed French Toast tasted a bit like it was fermenting fruit, so it had a bit of an alcoholic taste. The service that we received from Daniel was amazing. He would frequently check in on us. He brought over the chef's complimentary pretzel bun. It was sliced, and came with a sweet pineapple sauce and a spicy something (sorry, don't remember). Street parking. It has a relaxed atmosphere inside, a combination of industrial and rustic. Joe (owner) was on the Food Network Chopped, and won the competition. read more

A beloved gem in our neighborhood--it's become our go-to spot for relaxed mornings and catching up over breakfast with friends. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and its convenient location just around the corner makes it all the more special. If only they stayed open a bit later! We'd love to swing by in the evening for a cocktail or a casual dinner. Still, it's a place we keep coming back to--easy, familiar, and full of charm. read more

Came in early, place is clean staff ready to work. Food: My order came in time and was serve hot. The food was delicious and so is the coffee. Service: My server came took the order in time in a Friendly manner. Empty plates were bus on point. I recommend coming in early for it gets packed. read more

i love when i can bring family to one of my favorite brunch spots!! My cousin was impressed and she loved Joes! we had brunch and she had the brioche French toast they were HUGE! please reference picture!! i did not get to try them as i have a food allergy but they looked oh so good. I had their eggs benedict and well they under poached them a few seconds to early. i could still see the egg white and i the taste was not there. maybe next time ill try something different. over all our server was very attentive and really made an effort to take care of us. the establishment is always clean and so welcoming at anytime. read more

This review has apparently transcended years. My initial thoughts: Ah, this place is neat! One of my best friends from high school drove me out here to eat and add to my Yelp portfolio. This feels like an elegant brunch spot. Very aesthetic. My more recent thoughts: Years later, I came back from close friends from grad school. Still a nice aesthetic. My friends and I had just finished a hike nearby at a place that had been apparently polluted with toxic chemicals many years ago and is apparently a case study for public health crises. Well, I am still alive thankfully. The food was good. I always love ordering eggs Benedicts. The complimentary bread and dipping sauces were so delicious. People love to bring their dogs here, and we were no exception. The servers give out water for the dogs which is very kind. My friends and I are apparently speed running the LA experience: hiking then brunch with the dogs all on Sunday. read more

I have tried the following: The Cure Chicken & Waffles Pork 'N Eggs Short Stack Biscuits 'N Gravy My fav is the chicken & waffles and the pancakes, hands down. I also enjoy the complimentary pretzel appetizer with the fruit jams. It's a nice treat. Service is always impeccable. Everyone is kind and attentive. The ambiance is great. I enjoy the indoor and outdoor option. The waiting period can be long on the weekends so make sure you are committed if you have a big party. Overall, Joe's Cafe is a great place for a delicious brunch. It is one of my favorite local neighborhood restaurants. read more
Came for a breakfast date with a group of 6. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were very friendly. We ordered drinks and placed our food order once they were delivered. Food came out all together which is great in a large party. Everyone enjoyed their food. My breakfast burrito was pretty big, it was delicious. Next time I'll ask for more green sauce on top. I shared a pancake and it was perfectly fluffy & sweet with the whip cream they serve on the side. No syrup needed. read more

Dined in for brunch and was seated instantly! They provide complimentary bread paired with some seasonal jams. We got sweet potato and pineapple, which were so delicious! Stuffed French Toast: Gigantic and super filling! The dish was not too sweet and the loads of fresh berries won me over! Chicken & Waffles: Sweetness from the bacon and savoriness from the gravy was an amazing pair! Overall, dishes can be a bit pricey ranging around mid to upper twenties. But, the portions are large and can definitely feed 2 people! read more

Yes, that’s correct we’re open 7:30-3 everyday. We are currently not doing dinner.

A/C at the restaurant?
Yes, it was very cool indoors when I walked inside to check in. We sat on the patio and it was nicely shaded and breezy.
Does Bloody Mary have vodka?
Their version uses Jalapeño Wasabi flavored Sake, so no vodka.
Do they offer bottomless mimosas for brunch?
No we don’t, but we do use fresh squeezed orange juice.
What are their current hours? I've driven by 4 different times and haven't seen them open.
We’re open Monday-Sunday 7:30am-3pm (lunch starts at 11:30am). During this time we’re temporarily not doing dinner service.
Love Joe's Cafe. Please add some Vegan or Veggie choices. How about " Golden Milk" on the menu?
I know they can have an extensive vegan menu if they fried or baked their food with non meat oils or shortenings; they may already. But I do not know. I am not a sweets fan; but the waffles and pancakes look very fluffy and light. That's my $.02.…
