    Vegan breakfast sammy
    Ashley M.

Came in for a birthday breakfast, which was my first time, but my family's second time. They had a good sized menu with lots to choose from! They even have vegetarian and vegan options! We got one coffee to try and it was okay, not the best 4/5 on taste, but I personally wouldn't get it again. Food was delicious! And staff was very friendly! Would love to try new items next time I go! Dinning room looks very cute as it looks like an old home! Parking is street parking outside, which can take some time to find.

My husband and I had a nice brunch date today in this local, cozy restaurant. Yo will be feel in another country, because the decoration is very European vibe. The service is really nice, friendly, fast, and the food is delicious! My husband loved the chai latte. The brown sugar ... late was very tasty. If you don't eat too much, you can share and save a room for a pancake. Next time, we will try the pies. The price is reasonable. Another observation is that locals go there! It is very nice! If you have a visitor in your house, it is a good place to take him. High recommended!

I am so happy this restaurant has opened close to me in Granada Hills. I came today with my mom and we were delighted with the customer service and well prepared food. I think this may be the top breakfast spot in this area. My chilaquiles Rojas w/ chicken was so delicious!! The best I had in a really long time. The beans were good, the rice was moist, and the chicken had so much flavor and the food was made fresh and hot!! I love how they even give you avocados without asking it comes with the dish that I ordered. The menu is massive and it has so much to choose from!! From breakfast to lunch!!! This is why I will be back for sure!! My latte was even good and they have almond milk!! It's a cute restaurant that's family owned and it's pretty spacious inside with decent seating! It's cute inside with red and pink!! The customer service is just greaaaat!!! They come and check on you very personable and very friendly!! Top notch service seriously!! It's street parking pretty much only!! Located in a perfect area so it may be hard to find parking!! I will be back very soon!!!

Honestly, I can't believe I didn't try this place sooner. The waitress was super sweet, attentive, and genuinely happy loved that. My friend and I both ordered the chilaquiles (one red, one green) and didn't even ask to try each other's plates that's how good it was. Parking was easy, the vibe was cool and slightly old-school, and the only thing missing was a mimosa. See you soon!

    Thin turkey, barely avocado.

I have eaten here three times when they first opened. It was great. I have eaten their turkey croissant sandwich in the restaurant, and it was incredibly generous and delicious. Today I had it delivered, and it tasted awful. There was something wrong with the mayonnaise. The turkey was cut very thin and there was little of it. And you can see by the photo that there was only a hint of avocado. And the ranch I asked for on the side was gross. I don't know if it was old, but it was definitely watered down and tasted funny. It's not a cheap sandwich. Now I'm not in a hurry to go back to the restaurant and try again.

    Soft opening this week

Rose Cafe and Bakery has opened their doors and are currently having a soft opening this week. I love how cute the cafe is.... and not to mention, their menu is fabulous. From the moment you walk in you're greeted with warmth. The staff is very friendly and helpful- they took my drink order as soon as I sat down. I ended up ordering the green chilaquiles and they were good; it came with a side of rice and beans. They also have plenty of sweet options available like pancakes and waffles to choose from. I was craving something savory this morning though. Come support your local businesses and let's fill up this new cafe in the valley!

This family-run cafe needs to succeed. The food and the staff are wonderful. Esther took care of mom and I and she was a delight. By her recommendation, I tried the chilaquiles verde. They were excellent. Mom ordered the eggs benedict. The ham was perfectly smoky and their potatoes were so flavorful. I also drank their Abuelita's Mocha. The added cinnamon was excellent. I'll definitely be coming back for more.

Update: took my husband here for his birthday breakfast so he could try the chile relleno plate. Given that it's their soft opening they have room for improvement. The food came out warm - not hot. The cheese wasn't melted on the refried beans. They did reheat it for him. The beans and rice were bland. Definitely needs something added to enhance the flavors. The sauce on the chile rellenos also needed a boost of flavor. Service was excellent! The eggs, bacon and fresh toast were good. I'll wait a couple more months to give them another opportunity.

Such a cute and cozy little cafe! We really needed this place in Granada Hills. I have been twice now and the staff is extremely helpful and sweet, plus the food has been great and coffee is yummy as well. Looking forward to this place's continued success :)

Soft launch of a brand new cafe here on Chatsworth! The food was excellent, savory & delicious. I highly recommend the beans & rice. Service was awesome, and staff were friendly. They were playing nice calming music & the inside decor & seating areas were adorable. It's the perfect spot for brunch with family & friends. I'm so excited to have a new local spot & will be back soon!

This new place is amazing! Service is exceptional the coffee is delicious and the food taste like my grandma cooked my breakfast. I had huevos rancheros and the salsa ranchera was amazing! The place is so cute as well and everyone is so nice! A really good new spot in Granada Hills!

I love this place so much! I have been there twice in a week because I was meeting a friend for breakfast and had such a great experience the first time that I wanted to introduce it to my friend

My new favorite breakfast spot! I've been here 3 times and the food is consistently good. Good coffee too. They don't have a kids menu, but they have a kids plate that the waitress told us about. My kids loved it. So glad to have them in the neighborhood!

Ask the Community - Rose Cafe and Bakery

Noticed steps to enter restaurant- is their access for wheelchair? Isn't it against CA to have a business that is non accessible for disabled wheelchair customers??? Would love to try Rose Cafe but no way to enter with stairs. Is there access?

Ask the staff at the entrance. Nearly all the business along that block with entrance steps will provide flat entrance access in the back if you let them know.

Don't even get me started on their little fruit bowls with the cream ball thing and Nutella sauce dip they serve with the breakfast! Drinks are phenomenal. I'm a huge sweet cream type of girl, so the butterscotch is my go to. I'm a creature of habit and I highly recommend this drink to anyone who has a sweet tooth with a coffee addiction. Don't get me started on how nice the place feels and looks inside. Like a lot of people described, it is super cozy and welcoming. They have a big mirror near the entrance you can take pictures with your friends at, and as a girl, I looove it haha. There's two levels, like a loft area you can chill at if you like towering over all the other customers. I love high places so that's my favorite spot to chill. The store itself is very well themed and the decore is pretty cool. Service was even better. The good looking guy with curly hair (I think his name is Luis) who serves me on occasion is always so sweet and polite, great customer service skills. Too bad for me he has a gf, but we looove a loyal king who loves his girl! The other employees are great too btw everyone has a great attitude every time I've been, they handle the stress of the rushes well and are easy to relate to. They make it feel less as a transaction, and more like seeing a friendly acquaintance you get to catch up with. Clearly Yellowhouse has employees who know what they're doing with being not only efficient, but delivering quality drinks and service. Great all around, 10/10 would recommend.

If you cannot get street parking in front of the cafe, you are better off parking in the Harbor Freight parking lot off Nordhoff and taking the 2 minute walk. Yellow House is nestled between other small businesses but you won't miss the entrance as it is highlighted by a big yellow wall. Ambiance: The exterior of the building almost plants the idea that the cafe will be small, but once entering the building you get a different feeling. The interior is spacious even having 2 stories. The interior exudes a calm, cozy, minimalistic feel. It really does feel like you are walking into a warm inviting yellow home, albeit a little loud and busy. There is a good amount of natural light coming from all the windows and depending on the time of year, they also decorate for each holiday. Drinks: We have gotten the tiramisu iced latte, creme brulee matcha, Earl grey Matcha, and Strawberry matcha, and sea salt caramel americano. Order all drinks half sweet or you'll get a cavity- heed the warning of this tooth fairy. But in all seriousness, their drinks are SWEET so be aware. All of the drinks taste like what they advertise though which is amazing! If you're looking for top tier matcha quality this isn't the place, this isn't Rocky's matcha but if you're in sheer desperation and ache for some green drink derived from leaves, it'll work. Service: Everyone is nice and the drinks come out pretty quickly considering their crafted nature. Overall: There's a reason we keep coming back! It's reliable, has lots of cool varieties, and consistent! Although I will say a bit overpriced, but that seems to be everywhere these days so eh.

Claudine Kitchen and Bakeshop is located in Porter Ranch, California, on Rinaldi Street in the…read moreshopping center with Ace Hardware. The line was long to get a table, so come prepared to wait a little bit, like at any breakfast place on a Sunday morning. My wife and I took our boys here for Sunday breakfast. My wife got the Newton's 7 AM Breakfast with an over medium egg, bacon, and hash browns for $17.95. She also added a single pancake for $3.50. I got the brisket burrito with no salsa roja because I can't have tomatoes, and I have to say, it was delicious, but it was also $20.95. My wife ordered scrambled eggs for the boys for $6.00, which they didn't eat, so I ended up eating them, like always. She also decided to get the boys the puff cakes. Apparently, they're like little pancakes sprinkled with powdered sugar on top, and the boys seemed to like them a lot. Those were $7.95. We also got miscellaneous pastries from the display to the right of the cashiers, each costing around five dollars or less. To top it all off, I ended up getting a cold brew coffee for my caffeine fix with light ice. I added vanilla and with extra pump in there, which came with an extra charge of $0.50 plus another $0.25. My bill before tax was $75.20, and after tax it came out to $82.52. I had to ask my wife, "Is that right? Does that seem right to you?" She said yes and told me she looked it over. That's just what it was. We tasted everything. My boys liked the puff cakes, my wife liked her breakfast, and my brisket burrito was very delicious. However, at $20.95 the burrito probably wouldn't be my first choice next time. The service here is very basic. You wait outside in line for them to find you a table, and once your table is ready, you walk up to the counter and place your order. They bring the food to you when it's ready. I didn't have any issues with this setup. The ambiance is your typical breakfast/brunch restaurant that opens early in the morning and closes early in the afternoon. I would definitely recommend this place to people who want to try some different breakfast items, but just be aware of how much everything costs. Maybe check the menu on Yelp beforehand to see if it fits what you're looking for. I would definitely come back again, but I'd probably make some changes to my order and leave out the pastries. Maybe pastries are better if you're just stopping by for coffee and a snack, but if you're coming for breakfast, you can probably skip them. Thank you for the brunch, Claudine Kitchen and Bakeshop.

I usually order this same meal and genuinely love it, but today just felt like a miss. The toast was extremely thin and hard--almost more like a crisp than bread. I asked if there was another option or even just a different slice, but was told that all the bread was like that, which was surprising since that hasn't been my experience here before. The house-made jam was also off today--it was much more watery than usual and didn't have that same rich texture I'm used to. The potatoes were underwhelming as well--lacking seasoning and slightly burnt. I will say, the server was kind and did bring out a vegan date pastry after I had already received my bill, which I appreciated. It just wasn't something I would typically choose, and nothing was adjusted on the bill. For the price, I just expected more consistency and care, especially from a place I usually really enjoy. I don't mind paying for a good meal, but today it just wasn't up to par. I'm hoping this was just an off day because I've had much better experiences here in the past and would love to see them get back to that.
