I had no clue that this beautiful family owned bakery has been here since 2022!! I was next door at Gelato Mio and noticed the bakery and decided to pop in. I had the pleasure of meeting Sa'id who is part of the family owned business and such a nice young gentleman! He welcomed me in and shared with me what makes their bakery a cut above the rest. For starters they are not a French bakery. It is an eastern European style bakery which most likely means that the baked goods are heartier, dense and more substantial in texture I would say. Their croissant was more dense than a typical french croissant which is light, airy and flakey. Sa'id offered for me to try a small sliver of their napoleon soft cake and it was amazing! I bought a regular cinnamon bun and the pistachio tiramisu. I really appreciated that the cinnamon bun wasn't overly sweet. I heated it in the microwave for about 8 seconds and my husband and I enjoyed it very much. The pistachio tiramisu was also very very good! A beautiful blend of coffee flavor with hints of pistachio flavor. In fact, it was OUTSTANDING! Best tiramisu my husband and I have ever tasted! Everything is carefully handmade with lots of care and love. There were some beautiful cakes in the display. They take special orders for any occasion. We were checking out the new Gelato Mio next door and noticed Napoleon Bakery after parking. The interior was so attractive that we were enticed to go inside an check out their wares. Although it was close to closing time, the young man who was minding the shop was very friendly and gracious in answering our questions. They have a beautiful selection of cake slices, pastries, and even coffee drinks available. They do custom whole cakes for birthdays and other occasions. With the name of Napoleon, I thought it was a French bakery. It turns out that they specialize in a number of European confections, including options from Eastern Europe. Without a lot of time before they were done for the day, Dear Hubby and I each chose a cake slice, and we got a cake pop for our Sweet Granddaughter. She got to pick the color icing she preferred, which was nice. The pricing seems fair, especially given the loving care that's gone into baking and decorating each baked treat. We will definitely be visiting again. They are within 5 to 10 minutes of where our kids live, so there you go - a new "secret" place discovered! read more

We saw this place next door after having lunch/dinner at Boiling Pot next door on Sunday. The place looked popular with tables filled on the patio and the pastries on display through the window looked intriguing so decided to take a chance and maybe get a small coffee and some pastries to try. There was a young man at the counter who welcomed us with a wonderful smile. He said his name is Said (pronounced Sa-eed) and asked if it was our first time here. We said it was, so he offered to give us some samples of their most popular bake goods. He said it is made of light custard and it's called soft cake and it is traditional pastry from his country in Uzbekistan that his mother bakes all from scratch. In Asia we also don't like overly sweet cakes so we thought it sounded to fit our taste preferences. And we loved it after trying! My mom said it tastes very similar to the cake she had back in Seoul in her childhood she misses fondly, but she could never have that same taste. Just a little sweeter. But the custard and texture of the cake is just the same. We also got the eclair. And it was pretty good too. But definitely recommend the soft cake!! Sooo yummyyy!! I also got the strawberry cold foam matcha latte and my mom got a small americano coffee. She said it's the best coffee she had in a cafe. Of course superb compared to Starbucks or any other coffee franchise. She says American coffee shops always burn their beans so it tastes burnt, but this place roasted the beans just right. And we also loved the strawberry cold foam matcha. I don't know how, but it tasted like really strawberry was in the drink!! My mom said it's the best strawberry milk she ever had here and in Korea! And she wants to order again when we come by next time. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Food and drinks were all prepared with such care, but given at a reasonable time. Some of these cafes take forever to make your drinks, even Starbucks makes you wait 20 minutes! These other coffee shops make it seem like they're doing some complex chemistry experiment how long it takes for just a drink! But this young guy he makes the drink in under 5 min and it tastes 10x better anything those other coffee shops make, but in less than half the time! I really thought maybe it was really hard making drinks, but this young dude makes it look like a walk in the park, the speed and ease he cranks out the drinks. I think Uzbekistan people must be just built different! and he was also so kind and pleasant taking the time to explain and answer all our questions. Some of these other places wouldn't even bother or make it feel like you're pulling a nail from them the way they grimace. He was so nice we wanted to give a tip, but he even said he didn't want us to. He'd happily accept just our enjoying the food and drinks and would appreciate if we left a review for his cafe. just had to leave a review. Especially after how nice he is. And hearing his story and how it's a family run bakery with the mom baking and son making drinks and running front counter. And an authentic European bakery!! Wow! Aren't we so glad they moved into our neighborhood! A Real quality cafe I didn't even know what I was missing until I stepped into this little shop by mere chance! I Will definitely come by again. Decided to check out this bakery while waiting in line for hotpot next door and I am so glad I did! The girl at the front was very friendly and informative on all the pastries and cakes. I sampled the Napoleon cake for the first time and it reminds me so much of crepe cakes! The cake was delicious and she let me know it's a Russian type of cake. They also do custom cakes which look amazing, I'm planning on ordering one for my son's birthday. Prices are reasonable as well. Stopped here to get an evening coffee after visiting the hot pot place next door and I have to say it's a hidden gem! I ordered a Lavender Haze Latte which is a lavender vanilla latte and absolutely loved it. Coffee will always have a top spot in my heart and when I say the drink I was given hit the spot I was not exaggerating! The espresso was perfect not acidic or burnt like many other "coffee" shops and the syrups used seemed to be made in house! The guy that helped us out that Saturday night was kind and offered my sisters and I some samples. I'm not a huge dessert person but that pastry was perfectly creamy and sweat especially considering it had been on display. All though small, the inside still had some sitting space inside and out that you could definitely sit and enjoy your treats at. I've been coming to this lot for a while, but somehow never saw this place tucked into the corner. I decided to try it out, and it was a great experience. The owners son gave us samples of their most popular dessert, the soft Napoleon, and happily told us all about it and many of the items they sell. We tried the Woolworth cheesecake (it's no bake, and it's so soft and fluffy that I'm not sure I could call it cheesecake, but it's so good!), and the crunchy Napoleon (just as messy as we were told, but ultimately just as soft as the soft Napoleon with a different texture). The service was spectacular and the two young workers were absolutely amazing when I picked the cake up. Price was very reasonable as well. am giving them 4 stars because the cake and frosting was so sweet we couldn't enjoy it. However the filling which was a cream cheese and strawberries was so delicious. We all basically ate the filling out and left the cake. Found this little gem while waiting for Guitar Center to open. I'm not big on breads, however I absolutely loved the almond croissant, which had an organic almond butter on the inside. The young gentleman who helped us a was very friendly & informative & even gave us a sample of the "Soft Napoleon" which is what they're known for. That treat was a pleasant surprise! I called to ask about inventory, and they were also open on NYE, so decided to go. I asked for a sample of the soft napoleon, and it was good so decided to get other things too. The portions weren't bad for the prices either. - Soft Napoleon: nice custard, soft layers, and not too sweet - Crunchy Napoleon: I appreciate crispy textures, so I did like this more compared to the soft version - Honey cake: I saw from another review that they use sour cream and it did help to cut down on the sweetness but definitely still sweeter than the napoleon's. It was a bit too peculiar for me to get again. The iced matcha rose latte had too much rose syrup for my liking, but I watered it down when I got home. It helped a little but the matcha flavor got lost. They have a few other things I want to try (milky girl strawberry? the pavlova also looks interesting although I'm not a big fan of meringue). read more
