    Garlic twist
    Grace J.

Small Tous Les jours chain inside a grocery store. It's not a stand-alone cafe so they don't have designated seating, but they offer all of their classic pastries for a fair price. I got the curry croquette and garlic twist, which neither one was warm. It's a convenient way to pick up some bread after you grocery shop. The cashier was quick to check us out too.

PROS: cute ambiance, clean, well-stocked shelves, creative flavors, guava Danish is my favorite, plenty of seating & parking. CONS: price per pastry is high compared to 85 degrees ($3.50-5.99), day-old pastries (I'm a baker & I know; these are not fresh--they're OK but not fresh)

Tous Les Jours inside Galleria on Reseda Blvd.

Tous Les Jours at the corner inside the Galleria on Reseda Blvd, can't believe I forgot all about this sweet bakeshop being here. The smell of sweets and bread greets you as soon as you walk in. My parents would frequent this location and bakeshop for years and pick up the yummy tiramisu cake, strawberry & lychee cake and mango cake to name a few. My child and I decided to stop by and pick up some pastries and treats for the week. The young lady working at the counter was very helpful and she reminded me of their baking practices and cross contamination information in their kitchen. She provided excellent customer service. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. We bought the Mocha Cake Mini, Cheese Cake Mini and Honey Castella snacks for the week. Labels are detailed regarding ingredients and food allergens which we truly appreciate. The Mocha Cake Mini was delicious and not too sweet. You can taste the mocha yet it's not overpowering. The Cheese Cake Mini has a good texture and it was good. The Honey Castella had just the right amount of sweetness. The honey isn't overly saturated. Can't wait to go back to Tous Les Jours to pick up some of their strawberry and lychee cake.

Pastries delicious. Ambience is kinda odd, it's not very welcoming but the bread is displayed in an organized fashion. Service was not good- they gave us a funky box with our breads exposed. When we asked for a better box since we were going to go grocery shopping then traveling another 45 minutes home, and they wouldn't give it or said they had no way to cover the breads. They said they didn't even have sandwich like bags or any coverings. And they were very whatever about it. Very unhelpful, and not the most hygienic.

This is a small Tous Le Jour inside the Galleria Market. Convenient if you want to pick up after grocery shopping. Theres different bakery items and cakes. I tried the individually wrapped mocha cake. Very good and subtly sweet. We arrived late so many of the items were sold out for the day. Late as in within the hour, but the cashier was still really sweet and happy to help us with our purchase. Thank you Tous Le Jour!

The most delicious pastries ever. Made fresh daily five star Korean bakery in my favorite grocery store the galleria market.

Awesome selection of delicious and interesting baked treats. I bought the chocolate croissant today but want to try everything. The service was good. I perfect place to bring home a treat for the family. You can grab a tray while shopping and then they put the items into a box. Interesting flavors you won't find other places.

    Taro Cream Bread

Good option for baked goods! This is inside the Galleria Market. We came towards the end of the day so the selection was down but they still had our favorite taro cream bread. It's a little smaller than the taro buttercream bread but right-sized for a dessert! The store could use some updating though.

    Party bear cake

Such a convenient location inside the grocery store with a small food court. Called in to put the party bear cake on hold for same day pick up and they were able to accommodate. They had a ton of bakery items, but we didn't try any. It was a pleasant experience. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her cake. Would come back to try the pastries.

    Yummy pastry

Located inside the galleria market. Plenty of pastry and breads to choose from. And it is hard to decide. It's like you want to get 1 of each. .. Their pastry are yummy and good. Breads are so soft.

The ambiance isn't great but their butter bread is the best in town and can't be found anywhere else. I basically come here for that bread.

Parking was easy to find, they have a lot and there are several surrounding free parking lots. The cafe inside was clean and well designed with several tables - by the time we got out drinks, a table had cleared up and we sat down. We ordered the matcha einspanner and the hojicha einspanner. The matcha was high quality, very rich and strong. The cream added a nice sweetness, but it wasn't overall sweet or bitter either. I love hojicha and always recommend it as an alternative to matcha or coffee at cafes. The hojicha here was chocolatey and smooth, absolutely amazing! Very well balanced and well made drinks - and they are absolutely photogenic as well ;) Highly recommend!

They have a small and limited parking lot behind the coffee shop as well as some street parking open on Reseda and Dearborn. There's a Trader Joe's and Chili's across the street with more parking as well and I have parked behind Dave's Hot Chicken and the Habit and there is always space there. Ambiance: This coffee shop is quaint and feels a little cramped when you finally get inside and through the line. There is a counter top with some chairs as well as one couch and desk where one can study although, I personally never would. It's clean and bright with a minimalistic vibe inside. With it being cramped, you basically just get in, order, and get out. It's rare to find seating inside and it can feel overwhelming just sitting there trying to enjoy your drink with so many people around. Drinks: We've been there multiple times and you can always expect the same- mid, slightly overpriced, oh- getting some post purchase clarity. But it's the type of slightly regretful decision we continue to make every time. We've gotten the matcha einspanner on several occasions, vanilla iced latte, caramel latte, and the most disgusting Americano known to man. Whether you get the dark or light roast Americano, you will not run away from the burnt and bitter flavor. Service: The line moves quickly, they take your order and get you in and out without a long wait. They also offer stamp cards, buy 10 get the 11th free. What a steal! Gimme 10 more! Overall: All this to say, it's oddly grown to be a valley staple, and represents some bordering LA values- overpriced, overhyped, but for some reason addicting in the fact you always seem to go back. I would say 3.5 but it doesn't allow it, so I'm feeling generous today.

If you cannot get street parking in front of the cafe, you are better off parking in the Harbor Freight parking lot off Nordhoff and taking the 2 minute walk. Yellow House is nestled between other small businesses but you won't miss the entrance as it is highlighted by a big yellow wall. Ambiance: The exterior of the building almost plants the idea that the cafe will be small, but once entering the building you get a different feeling. The interior is spacious even having 2 stories. The interior exudes a calm, cozy, minimalistic feel. It really does feel like you are walking into a warm inviting yellow home, albeit a little loud and busy. There is a good amount of natural light coming from all the windows and depending on the time of year, they also decorate for each holiday. Drinks: We have gotten the tiramisu iced latte, creme brulee matcha, Earl grey Matcha, and Strawberry matcha, and sea salt caramel americano. Order all drinks half sweet or you'll get a cavity- heed the warning of this tooth fairy. But in all seriousness, their drinks are SWEET so be aware. All of the drinks taste like what they advertise though which is amazing! If you're looking for top tier matcha quality this isn't the place, this isn't Rocky's matcha but if you're in sheer desperation and ache for some green drink derived from leaves, it'll work. Service: Everyone is nice and the drinks come out pretty quickly considering their crafted nature. Overall: There's a reason we keep coming back! It's off Reseda and its parking lot is usually a hot spot among people. There is a good amount of parking but depending on the time, it fills up quickly and can feel tight trying to maneuver your way through and find a spot. Ambiance: Cafe 86 is a, they specialize in coffee and matcha and truly have an expansive menu featuring lots of delicious ube variations. There is a good amount of seating in the cafe, from normal tables to a couch to lounge on. The interior of the cafe is lined with brick and the warm lighting casts a soft cozy feeling. There is ample space to sit and enjoy your drink. I'd even say it's a good spot to study as it is spacious and does not get too loud. Drinks/food: We've tried the Iced Ube Matcha latte, Iced sea salt latte, Iced Ube Latte, as well as the Ube truffles. I love the ube flavor and it pairs perfectly with their matcha. They don't use the highest quality matcha but the ube flavor carries and still provides a nice tasty drink. The iced coffee was good, a little too sweet and kind of just an average latte, nothing to write home about. The ube truffles are something sweet that hit the spot if you have that sweet ube craving. They are soft and chewy and just the perfect bite. I am definitely biased in general because I really like ube so if you aren't the biggest fan you may not like it Overall this place does make their drinks on the sweeter side so going half sweet is smart if you don't want a blast of sugar. The menu is fun and unique, especially for anyone who enjoys ube flavors. The cafe itself offers a comfortable, inviting space that works well for hanging out or getting some work done. While the drinks can run on the sweeter side and some of the drinks are just average, the overall experience is still enjoyable. The friendly service and relaxed atmosphere is a calm choice for a new casual cafe stop, particularly if you are there for their ube specialties.
