Your typical donut shop with plenty of breakfast type stuff in addition to donuts. My very large apple fritter was $3.25 which seems more than reasonable and tasted great. This my first visit to DC Donut Cafe and I was not disappointed. They offer Donuts, Coffee, Smoothies, Soup, Breakfast as well as Lunch style sandwiches on your choice of a Bagel, Croissant, or Sliced Bread. I ordered the Egg and Cheese with Bacon, Ham And Sausage Breakfast Sandwich on a Cheddar Jalepeno Bagel and it was delicious! I also ordered a Maple Bar and a Chocolate Bar Donut which had a perfect consistency. The Customer Service was top notch and they were extremely nice and very pleasant people. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store is on the small side but they do have a couple tables and some chairs so you can enjoy you meal there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I definitely will be coming back to try some of the other items they offer. My wife and I have been obsessed with this finicky shop for years. Their tuna sandwich on the French roll is phenomenal! I also love their breakfast pastrami croissant sandwich and my wife is a fan of their breakfast burrito! Highly recommend and don't forget to get the donut holes! read more

Always fresh always good. I adore the owner she's very sweet. Her sandwiches are amazing the croissants are fabulous. The Vietnamese coffee is a winner for sure. Love the donuts, sometimes the selection is low by the time I get there but what she has is always very good and worth it. Today we paid in cash and got a free iced coffee, it's a new promotion. I always come to this donut shop.Today will be my last.I bought 2 vietnamese coffee. when I got home.The cup holder just broke or should I say ripped off Cheap quality i drove back to the donut shop showed her what happened?They're saying that I did it on purpose.And they were not gonna replace my coffees.Very bad business practice at this location.Do not come here very bad service. read more

Our home is surrounded by doughnut shops. Most of Los Angeles is. Yet, we will drive the few extra minutes/miles to come to DC Donut. The staff is friendly (especially to my 3 young boys who know doughnuts for breakfast mean it's a special day) and happy to help out however needed. Even when my kids are unable to make up their mind they smile & wait patiently. The Doughnuts themselves are always delicious. They taste fresh and have both the perfect mix of chew and light fluff to them. They walk that fine line perfectly. I've tried many of their different styles and have never been disappointed. Spent the weekend in LA with some friends and we were just about to leave the valley and drive back to the Bay Area. I really didn't want any fast food, so we decided to make a quick stop. Found DC Donut Cafe on Yelp and saw pictures of these huge fluffy croissants. They are tucked in the corner of the 7-11 parking lot. Came in at the perfect time, a group just walked out and there was no line! Greeted by a very friendly woman (guessing she is the owner). Placed my order - she recommended to add avocado and that was a great addition. I watched as they cooked fresh eggs, warmed the bacon on the griddle and started to build the sandwich. Yes, the croissants are as large and fluffy as they look, but they also taste incredible. All the flaky layers of dough!!!!! Everything is so fresh here and everyone is also very friendly. This place loves to nickel and dime. I was charged $1 extra for getting an egg sandwich and it was due to the shortage. I have gotten numerous egg related items within the past month at other places and have never been charge a shortage fee. Watch out for their opportunistic ways! read more

I've been a regular here for a long time. While the food quality remains good, the portion sizes have dropped significantly. What used to be a filling meal now feels insufficient, and it's disappointing that a place I really enjoyed has reduced portions this much. Ya' Know, I drove all the way over there, about 20 minutes, it took. The reviews brought me in...Well, they had about 4, YES, 4 choices of donuts. Waste of time. They'd rather serve eating food which is fine but with no choice of donuts to bring as a gift I turned around and walked out. (Plus the donuts looked "aged"...) My son turned us on to this little hole in the wall cafe. The employees were all friendly and helpful. Our family met here and had a lovely breakfast. Terrible parking available, small donut shop within a small strip mall. I was disappointed! The name DC Donut represents the infamous DC donuts located in Washington DC. This was far from it. The donuts obtained were far less than fresh with more of the caked on icing butter than flavor. Sorry guys, will not be returning to this location anytime soon. I'm sure you can do better. This is not the same as the DC Donut Cafe in Reseda. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food, service, and ambiance are just not it here ...yet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hopefully with time they can provide a similar experience. The variety in donut selection was minimal. The service was slow and they took my order wrong ...twice. The person in the register seemed like he was mad that he had to take my order. It wasn't busy at all so I am unsure why all the mistakes. After waiting for 20 minutes they realized they didn't give me the bagels I ordered. I asked for two drinks but they only charged me for one and when I asked for the second drink the lady making the drink and the man in the register got defensive and were upset about making the second drink. I spent 20 mins waiting for 2 bagels and 2 drinks. Perhaps they had a bad morning and the rush had just ended. I am not sure I just know I was excited to come in. Sorry, to say but this location is not serving up to the DC Donut name. Perhaps another time but for now I'll stick to the Reseda location. read more

I ordered the turkey & ham sandwich the first time. It was so fresh and super loaded with veggies which I love! Second time I ordered the bagel egg and turkey with cheese which was delicious and warm! cheese was still melted when I ate it. AhhhEverything is fresh and the quality is very much up to par. I have been on a panini kick the entire new year and again today I said to myself I need to have a…read morepanini. I went on yelp and did a panini search and Sylmar's fix came up. I'm so glad it came up in the search because I've driven past this location so many times and never noticed it! Sylmar's fix is located on a corner where there is a large sign for the Mercado Neighborhood Market on the building. Parking can be really busy in this area and you may have to have a short walk, but I got lucky the sidewalk was empty right next to the store. I would only have to say that the street and sidewalk are pretty dirty with litter so just watch your step. I ordered the Color Me Green Juice and the Chicken Pesto Panini for myself, and the Penne Alfredo Pasta for a friend and took them to go. My Chicken Pesto Panini tasted amazing! The chicken is chopped up into smaller pieces which allows the sauce to be all over inside the sandwich so you get an equal amount of sauce and chicken with every bite. I love the bread it's crunchy but easy to bite into and this sandwich was VERY fulfilling! The Color Me Green Juice is very delicious, freshly made and all I did when I got home was add some ice to make it colder. I was lucky my friend let me have some of the Penne Alfredo Pasta because WOW, that is the creamiest Alfredo pasta I've ever had! That was so warm and tasty! The only problem with this place is that it's on my driving route many days of the week so they might be seeing a whole lot more of me there in the future!!!!!

The produce looked like really great quality and that is actually what convinced me to feel confident enough to try this place! First you walk in and go towards the right corner after the produce. There is a small booth where you order and then they tell you to pay at the cashier in front. After you pay, you trade your receipt copy for your food. Super easy but confusing for first time. They also have korean fried chicken! I def want to come back to try that.

If you need to charge your laptop, the outlets are located by the counter seating. They also have a restroom which was spacious and clean. Overall, it's a great spot to get work done with good drink and food options!

The place is a great vibe. The decor is awesome with real branches everywhere. They have different food vendors and events almost everyday, which they post on their schedules on Instagram! Now the real reason I keep coming back; the AMAZING staff. Justin, Bobby, Adam, Michael, Gabby, Josh, Luis, Leo and Taylor. They are all such great people who really care about their job and customers. The whole staff is so professional and knowledgeable on their beers. They are always excited to explain the types of beers on tap to new customers and welcome everyone in. Shadow grove is so lucky to have such a great team behind the counter. They really go above and beyond!

I also enjoyed their mini sticker wall lol wish I would've known to bring some:p Definitely recommend this spot if you wanna just wind down and chill with your friends.
