Honestly, I came here before work because I needed a quick bite before starting and I saw that this place was the only choice available for me at the time. When I saw the reviews i was very confused why such low rating. I got my food and was attended very nicely, the place seemed clean to me and overall I had no issue at all. I understand some people complained about being short staffed, but when it's a mom and pop shop I don't expect 10 people working the place. For the three people working there that day, they were all handling the people very well and as quickly as possible. I suggest calling ahead if you are placing an order for the sandwiches if you are tight on time. I had called 10 minutes before arriving and by the time I got there I had my food ready. Quick review: I'm here for the boba, pretty standard. Just stopped by this donut shop for some Boba. It seems most all these Asian owned donut shops have the same Boba drinks. Same flavors etc. So this Taro flavored Boba I got isn't any different from any other Donut shop. I'm assuming they all get the mixes from the same supplier. Anyway, the Boba was good. Sometimes you get this drink and the Boba balls are hard from whatever reason. This was ok. Not much else to say other then owners where nice and the place was clean. Try it out. read more

This place is HELLA annoying. Went today (memorial day) at 9am not because I'd ever get anything from here but because wife wanted donuts and I was nearby. There were about 3 people in front of me, including the clueless dipshit ordering about every fucking item on the menu, asking 21 questions on each ( per usual jackass jackpot I always hit anywhere you order something and get in line). I thought at one point he was ordering for the an army or something. Just.wouldnt.fucking.stop. After 5 minutes STILL adding and ordering, adding, and....ordering. And still 2 people ahead of me. After 10 minutes I walked away and came back and he STILL FUCKING THERE!!!! they are always short staffed and dont seem to care how long everyone waits. Hey, everyone waits and pays why should they care?? Well 99% will wait, but I dont appreciate the lack of speed and efficiency or concern to serve faster. Go to Earl's in Chatsworth, where they have 2-3 people behind the counter at ALL times taking orders so you wont be stuck behind a fucking clueless moron that has no concept of ordering etiquette. Spent about 25 bucks on 10 doughnuts and a small coffee. They filled my already small cup with a bit more than 1/2 with coffee which looked more like tea, and pointed me to the counter for half n half. I asked if they had flavored creamer, she brought it out from behind the counter. When I reached for it, she pulled it away - motioning that she would pour it for me. According to Google: "Donuts are cheap to make. They're the second most profitable food item in the nation, behind only to the potato and the average cost to make and finish a donut is approximately 12 cents." and "The gross profit margin for a cup of coffee is around 70 to 80%". I got 4 chocolate twist 4 glaze twist and 4 round glaze The husband and wife didn't even greet me or smile when I walked in (I was such a bother to them) instead I just had what felt like a monologue, said good morning may I get a dozen. Told them man what I wanted, the lady charged and no smile. I said have a good day.... NOTHING. On my drive I ate a glaze twist and IT WAS SOOOO OILY. The donuts are fine. Basic. They have the usual assortment you can find in most donut shops. My issue is their business practices. I stopped in to support a local business versus stopping at a Dunkin Donuts or a Winchell's to grab two dozen donuts on my way in to a meeting. I told the clerk I wanted two dozen donuts and started telling her which ones I wanted, and was then informed that it would be $1 EXTRA if I wanted to pick the donuts versus the clerk picking them for me. I was honestly shocked. Like, are you serious?? So I paid the extra money ($1 PER DOZEN) because I'm sure she would've chosen the smaller, less purchased ones. I get to the counter where they have all these signs about Apple Pay and what cards are accepted and I was then informed there would be a fee if I wanted to use a card! I just got back from this place. I've bought doughnuts from here many times over the years. The service has never been fantastic but I never cared. A doughnut is a doughnut and i don't expect the service of a restaurant to get what I came for. Today, though, I bought a few doughnuts and the employee said something about a drink. He was wearing a mask, as was I, so it was a little hard to understand. He kept repeating himself until I finally understood that he wanted me to empty my pockets. He said he saw me put a soda in my pocket. Upon seeing that i didn't have anything but my keys, wallet, and cell phone, he said "I heard the fridge." I would've appreciated an apology for implying I stole something, but he wouldn't even look me in the eye.
