And price wise is good for me. And they also take CC which who the hell carry's cash money now n days. That makes it easier. And theirs no outrages fees either. Sam's Donuts and Coffee is THE place to go to get old school fresh donuts. This neighborhood favorite has cake donuts that have a lightly crisp crunch on the bottom and the frosting is simply done right... yeah, once you get these jewels you are hooked. I would recommend getting a dozen mix of their selections along with a dozen donut holes. BTW - a few dozen donut holes for a school or work event always is a hit. Sam is very friendly and a great server. The donut shop offer great selection of donuts, sandwiches, chips, lottos, and drinks. The Thai ice tea with boba was delicious. And the boba was freshly made and soft. The store is very clean. They are open 24 hours. And even when the doors are closed by 9pm, they have a side window to take your orders. Great old fashion mom and pop donuts shop with a modern touch. I would recommend people to check it out. read more

One star off for not having ATM or accepting cards, and area seemed a little sketchy for my late night run. Almost didn't get donuts due to lack of cash. I found an ATM at 711 down the street. These people are more than happy to sell you lottery tickets, but when you walk into cash one out they hide in the back and don't come out. No joke. I've tried several times and it's the same reaction. Inside was already closed, understandable since it isn't in the best of areas (historically) we were about to walk away and head to Winchell's down the way but to my surprise the dude slides the window open & takes our order. Kinda sucks we couldn't see the Donuts so I just named a few and made the dozen work. Lol.. Not sure what time they close so we might've gotten the last batch, not too fresh but I could see the potential in the maple bar. Headed out to Winchell's on Christmas Eve but to my surprise they were closed. So I remembered about this place and decided to drive by And it was Open! Well the side window was lol it's not in the best area especially at night time so I was a lil scared to be standing outside by myself ordering donuts but I made it happen and ordered quick. The glance that I got from the outside looking in this place wasn't too clean and I kinda got grossed out but decided to try donuts anyway and they were actually really good. Would I come back? First of all, Sam and the rest of the staff are super friendly even at 3 or 4 in the morning! That's one of the best times to stop in and pick up some nice, hot ,fresh donuts. They're just pulling them out of the fryer at that time and they are deliciously warm, soft and seem to melt in your mouth ,as you take a gulp of your perfect ,steaming hot coffee. They offer other tasty items as well (breakfast sandwiches, boba, lattes , etc.) and other sundries (aspirin,gum,etc) and services (lotto) but I never seem to get past those awesome doughnuts! lol read more

My boss sent me out to get doughnuts and I went to Sam's. Their doughnuts, don't have the heavy oil flavor that bad quality doughnuts always tend to have. However, they're a cash only place. Not being one to carry cash, since the rise of the debit card, I was directed to an atm machine in the back of the seating area. I don't like having to pay a service charge to buy doughnuts. So unless this place gets with the times and starts accepting debit/credit cards, I think I'll just go somewhere else. read more

Not the best doughnuts I have ever had. It was passable though. Make sure you bring cash as it's cash only and the ATM is extortional. The apple fritter is probably the best. The others are the same wichells/yumyum donut quality you get everywhere else. read more

Love the fresh croissants and one of my favorite donuts in the area friendly owners and staff prices are good and it's a quick pick up when your in a hurry but if you go at the end of the day like 8ish glazed donuts are usually all gone for the day only down side it's happened to me like twice other then that good donut spot . read more
