I'm going to college…read morenow, and here's what I have to say and my personal recommendations to get if you're new: You can tell a lot about a store from its regulars and I can firmly say that this place is very well-loved by the community. It's a family-owned business and it's also one of the only shops that open around 5am, so you'll see a lot of early workers getting their coffee there. Their items cost around $2-6 and I've never really spent over $20 even if I'm buying drinks for my entire family (4 people). My personal recommendations from the drink menu are the Thai tea blend and strawberry banana smoothie. Those are the freshest and most flavorful from the menu that I've tried (and I've tried a couple over the years). Their boba is always nice and chewy and their smoothies are always perfectly blended. From what I've seen, the owners seem to use powders to flavor a lot of their drinks but sometimes it can leave a kind of aftertaste that I'm not really fond of (but also I've always been really picky so if you're not picky about stuff like that, you won't mind). Also keep in mind that they aren't franchised or anything, so of course they buy all of their ingredients. I personally love their drinks for what they cost (around $5.25 depending on what you get). I always get a small from them and it's a little bigger than a grande from Starbucks. Lasts me half the day. My favorite sandwich to get from them is number 15 (avocado, tomato, and cream cheese bagel) with an add-on of bacon. They cook their bacon nice and crispy and the sandwich always ends up tasting bomb af. Idk what magic they do back there but it always hits. Changes over the years & ownership: As you can see from the reviews below, there's been a change in ownership. I personally don't think the new owners are as bad as the others are saying(?) I've come to the store at different times throughout the day and week and the new owners have never been rude or unprofessional. Of course, I understand why they might be a little off-put by the change in ownership because I myself miss the old owners a little bit (I mean, I've been buying from them since I was in elementary school) but the new owners aren't any less hospitable than the old ones. They've always been nice to me! The store has also gone through some renovations so now they have a big tv menu (really convenient because I've always had bad eye sight) and some other new menu items like matcha ube milk tea (which I haven't tried yet). Also I've never really talked to the owners outside over ordering stuff so this is really coming out of my love for the store. Sometimes the owners would ask me about how school was or how my day was going (I guess because they've seen me around) and that would really brighten my day! The store's like a blocks walk from my house so I go here pretty often. All in all, 10/10 would recommend and would (will) come back for another bagel sandwich.
