I called yesterday to place a cake order, but I was told it was too short notice. The employee suggested I come back first thing in the morning when they opened at 7:00 AM to try to purchase one of their premade cakes. I agreed and made sure to be there as close to opening as possible. I arrived at 7:07 AM before heading to work, hoping to be one of the first customers. Unfortunately, the bakery was still closed. I waited another 15 minutes, but no one opened the doors. At that point, I had to leave so I wouldn't be late for work. It was very disappointing, especially since I came based on their recommendation. Businesses should honor their posted hours or communicate any delays, as customers plan their schedules around them. I understand unexpected situations can happen, but this experience was frustrating and left me having to go to another Bakery for the cake. read more

Mom and pop shop type of bakery, you can smell them baking as you walk in. if you didn't want to eat everything in the store, you will after that smell hits your nose. the people that own this place are so nice and helpful, I would definitely come here next time I'm craving sweet bread. read more

A family member recommended this place to me, but I was disappointed. The bakery is small and they have a small selection of pan dulce. My hubby tried their calabaza (pumpkin) and he didn't like it. I was also a bit disappointed with their conchas not having enough of the sweet stuff on it. They also package the sweet bread individually, which was interesting. The shop itself is very clean and presentable. The staff was welcoming and helpful. However, not sure I will be going back. read more

Came here for an evening desert and was greeted by the nice lady at the front. They had many options but since it's holloween I decided to go with a pumpkin concha. I rarely post BUT today before going to work, I happened to make a stop, simply because I was a bit early and was in the area. OMG. The surprise when I entered and all the bread is individually wrapped!!! It was a good surprise, so I decided to buy plenty to share with my co-workers. The whole day, everyone was stopping me to ask where it was from and to give compliments to the pan dulce. I, myself, got a cortadillo and it was delicious. But I bought a variety of pan dulce and everyone complimented it. I will definitely be returning! Try it out! I highly recommend it! read more

Had last minute birthday party at my son's daycare, and I usually drive far for a bakery that I go to, but because I was in my lunch hour, this was the closest to my workplace. And I'm very happy that I stopped here not only that I buy a chocolate cake, but I also bought a few Pan Dulce. The layout was very clean very organized each side had a section of what was what. I did not get the name of the person that checked me out, but I believe he was the owner and his wife. They were both very sweet people. Will come again. Oh, and by the way, the cake was phenomenal. First time going to Ely's Bakery. I needed 30 mini concha's, individually wrapped. (For preschoolers) it was a Tuesday and I needed them for Wednesday evening. I called about 5 places & no one could accommodate what I needed. Then I found Ely's Bakery. Manual & Ely took very good care of me. They were so helpful! Concha's were excellent!! read more

I stopped by here on a whim and I am very pleased. I like that the pan dulce's are individually wrapped, much more sanitary and helps them to stay fresher instead of getting hard in a day or two. I have been back a couple of times, parking can be a bit hard to find but if there's an opening I will stop on my way home from work. read more

Was driving by and my mom saw the sign for Pan Dulce, so we decided to try and loved the pumpkin, nut and raisin one they had. Not sure if it's seasonal. Very clean and the best part was that the bread wasn't crazy sweet. We could actually taste the different types of sweet bread we bought. The lady who helped me was very polite and explained what they offered. Deff getting a cake next time! read more

I discovered the place a couple of months ago while driving by. I really like the variety of sweet breads they have, and the pre-packaged cookies are good too. I recently tried a sandwich that has chorizo with potatoes. I don't see that anywhere anymore, so I grabbed one and completely enjoyed it. The only thing that concerns me is that because each piece of bread in individually wrapped, I wonder about the cost, and the environment. Added plastic? Maybe the prices of the items are higher because of it? Either way, I'll continue to pick up my favorites from this small but plentiful bakery. read more
