It might help to look at the menu online ahead of time. The place has the industrial aesthetic which we really liked. Before ordering at the counter, the staff let us know there will be about a 50-minute wait. We were fine with it since we weren't in a rush or super hungry yet. So we were pleasantly surprised that our food actually came out much sooner than expected. It felt like a normal wait time you would expect at a sit down restaurant. My son had chicken nuggets and fries, my husband had chicken and waffles with a vanilla frappe, and I had the chorizo con huevo and a michelada. The food was warm and delicious, and it's like they were all made fresh. Portions were also big, so we had leftovers to take home. I thought the prices were a good value for how much food you get. The only thing we thought was overpriced was the $10 large frappe but we will just get something else next time lol. Service was great and the two ladies that helped us were lovely and friendly. They do mention on their website that food can take longer during busy times since it's made fresh, so come with patience. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

We arrived around 10 PM, an entire hour before closing, only to be told that everything would have to be served in to-go boxes. We even spoke with the manager, who explained that the employees need to leave exactly at 11 PM, so they stop serving everything in-house before closing time. If the café is technically open until 11 PM but customers can't actually dine in during the last hour, that should be clearly communicated on Yelp and to customers before they come in. We came specifically to sit down and enjoy crepes with our friends, so being told everything had to go in a to-go box was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.

It looks a little out of place, which is part of its charm. When we walked in we were acknowledged immediately and warmly. The food is fresh- (my fish and chips fish was firm and moist, not mushy or falling apart, and the oil they used tasted and looked new), the burger my hubby had was moist, cohesive, and savory. Our fries tasted like they had cut the potatoes very recently, and again, the oil was fresh. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The bartenders know what they are doing, too. I wanted a drink i hadn't had before, and once I told "Wes" ( our wonderful server) what I like in drinks, he steered me toward a Tajin rimmed Jamaica Margarita (yummy). Wes was a great server- he anticipated everything, came back to check on us in a timely fashion, and was very knowledgeable. It's just a nice comfortable grown up place to hang out in. Fortunately or unfortunately it's a 21 or over pub. We went during off hours, but I saw a waitlist feature on their site, so you should check it before you go.

They have an excellent selection of craft cocktails and beer. Their menu is simple, but every time we go, we try something new and it's always good. The food is great, the drinks are great, the parking is great... But what REALLY sets this place aside is the absolutely amazing staff, and the love they have for the business. We've been in when it's slammed, and when it's a bit slower and never noticed a difference. It's always great. If you haven't gone, I'd recommend it for your next casual meal, or a nice date.

It was busy during lunch time but worth the wait. I walked in through the back entrance (which faces the street) And then I proceeded to place my order via their kiosk machine. Staff is very kind and attentive. I ordered the chicken shish plate and a Coke. "Juicy, chunks of marinated chicken breast, skewered and grilled to perfection with bold spices" My plate had a beautiful presentation: served with rice, hummus, a grilled tomato, Tzaziki sauce, chunks of marinated chicken , Mediterranean salad, warm pita bread! Easily a 5/5 for me! Generous portions served overall. I sat outside the patio and it was a nice ambiance. They offer "to-go" trays so you can take your left overs home. I also enjoyed their water station; the water was infused with mint, so refreshing! Overall, I had a pleasant experience and look forward to coming back soon.

Souvlaki delivers on all cylinders with great customer service from Mr. Tony, who mentioned it was him and his mom working the kitchen that night (we came in around 9:10pm). Tony was very friendly and helpful to us in making a decision by describing the menu with detail which made it easy to decide what to order. Tony explained that they want to be a healthy late night option for patrons as they close at 11pm, also, the featured meats are halal. We ordered the lamb and beef shawarma wrap which come with fries. Canned and bottled drinks are availible to order as well. I really enjoyed the freshness of the Ingredients in the wrap, which was a pretty good size. Crunchy veggies, savory meat and sauce wrapped in what I believe is lavash thin flatbread. A classic wrap which did fill me up in a good way, it did feel like a healthy and nutritious type of full. It is complemented by salty fries which were cooked to perfection, we dipped our wraps and fries in some Tzatziki to top it off. The ambiance is chill, since it was late, we were able to get the bar style table availible at the window to dine in. Since it is located in the LA collection of chefs kitchens, they have a very small lobby/limited dining space so plan to enjoy 'to go', I'm not sure if the collection has a cafeteria style dining room somewhere. The lule is sized over average in comparison to other Mediterranean shops, I would say 1/3rd pound uncooked. Very juicy and savory. Pairs well with the sumac onion salad and the aforementioned condiments. No fries with this, but at less than $11 out the door, this high protein shawarma was a no brainer. Will make a lot of nearby burrito shops a run for their money. I will definitely come back for more! Thank you!
