A decent banh mi place with quick service. This place offers a sort of greatest hits of Vietnamese food on the menu: banh mi, pho, and milk tea. I so appreciate the ample parking here since it's in a strip mall. I received service with a smile which is always a plus.
I stopped by Bun Me recently after not visiting for a while and decided to give it another try. It's located in a small strip mall with plenty of parking, which makes it convenient. I ordered my food to go, but they also have about four tables inside if you want to grab a quick bite. The bánh mì sandwich had good flavor, and the bread was soft and fresh, which really made the sandwich enjoyable. I also ordered the beef stew, which was well seasoned and full of flavor. I ate it with bread, and it paired really well. You can also have the Beef Stew with noodles or rice. I also enjoyed the crispy pork egg rolls. They were crispy on the outside, flavorful, and a great mix of pork with mushrooms inside wrapped in rice paper. Overall, the food was tasty, and I'd definitely consider stopping by again when I'm craving a bánh mì or a comforting bowl of soup.
First time here, we all had a sandwich and it was good we all liked it. The service was friendly and quick. The restaurant is small but clean and nice. I'm glad we stopped and tried this, if in the area I would go again.
Stopped by here on our way home. We were very hungry so I did not get a chance to even take a photo of our meals. We ordered rare steak pho, bo kho beef stew and a chicken rice plate. No one had any complaints. As a matter of fact, the chicken rice plate was praised and kid approved. Once she took a bite she said "this is yummmmyy" The beef stew was delicious. It had a hint of sweetness. What I liked about their soup is that they don't give you a ridiculous amount of noodles. It was just a right amount in comparison to the rest of the soup. They put a great amount of beef and I wasn't even able to finish all of the beef. The inside is pretty small. I think only 3 or 4 tables. It seems like they do a lot of DoorDash orders. The ladies that helped us were all very nice. I watched how they interacted with all the DoorDash drivers and they treated them all kindly.
Get the fried spring rolls!!! These are the authentic Vietnamese kind with mushroom, meat, and vermicelli inside wrapped in rice paper and fried! I got a party tray of egg rolls (actually spring rolls) and they were a hit. The roll filling from Bun Me is also generous. It comes with mild dipping sauce. One order is 3 rolls. They pair great with the Banh mi sandwiches from here! Ofc the BM sandwiches are also great. I prefer the lemongrass chicken or pork since I want less food coloring and I love the lemongrass flavor. This team is on it! They are responsive on the phone so I always call in my order for pickup. The sandwich size is also a good filling portion. It's delicious - crunchy bahn mi style baguette packed with meat, pickled radish and carrots, cilantro, and optional jalapeño. There's also seating indoors so you can dine in and get your food right as it's prepared. I've tried a couple other menu items but my favorites are the sandwiches and fried spring rolls (the veg egg rolls are better for those who like a good basic egg roll, but the fried spring roll is what's exceptional).

Super cute and close to csun! It's a small shop with a walk up counter. The service was quick and they brought it to our table. Most orders are made for pick up, so we were the only patrons. I ordered the steak Bahn mi and it was perfection. The French bread was fresh, the carrots were perfectly pickled, and it was a great dinner over all. Highly recommend if you're craving Vietnamese :)
Absolutley horrible. Hardly and broth in the phot soup, the rolls collapse when you pick them up and the peanut cause is water thin. This place needs to close its doors
You can never go wrong when visiting this Bun Me location. Their steak bun me is delicious along with their summer rolls. I also got their beef pho before too and I thought it was great. I would come here once a week during covid lockdown for my lunch because the price was very reasonable at the time and the lady who own the place is very nice. My wife really enjoy their chicken pho and pomegranate drink. Before if you dine at the place and get a bun me sandwich, they would give you some Vietnamese chips but not anymore. The parking situation is limited here but it's easier now because there are less stores there. There also limited seating inside because there are only 4 tables which can fit like 2 people at each one. They have 2 tables for outdoor seating as well. Their prices did go up because of the current economy situation but it's not like a big increase. I would recommend coming here if you haven't been yet.
AHHHHHH! FINALLY some BUN ME! its been a minute since I've had their delicious sandwiches and Pho! As always their grilled pork bun was perfect and so were their shrimp summer rolls. Everything remains fresh and of great quality. Their service is still just as good as the first time. Its always busy here, from what i experienced around 1 pm. rather small dinning spot but its so worth it. To go orders come out fast! hope to come back soon!
Stopped by for a quick pick up order. I ordered the pho 2 item combo (rare steak & beef balls ftw). I noticed the soup was leaking in the bag so the staff repackaged it thankfully since I had a half hour drive. The sandwich was delicious and much needed as my first meal of the day was at 5pm. Would be tastier if it had more pate. It looked like a small quaint eatery. There was a shared parking lot with other businesses and it was pretty full when I visited.
Celeste is so sweet! She adjust the sweetness for me to like 70% this Vietnamese coffee is so amazing. I'm so glad that I came here. I will definitely be back. Back after a few years. I forgot how wonderful this place is. Easy parking, efficient service and delicious food. I ordered the vegan chicken and mushroom bahn mi and it was just as good as I remembered. I will be back soon. read more

The flavors and the taste of the food here was alright. This is the second time I got a bahn mi from here and I think it's nothing too extraordinary or special. I am grateful though to have an option in the area to order bahn mi. I got the Deli Special Bahn Mi, which has 3 types of meat in it, like Vietnamese ham and char Siu pork. I liked the crunch of the pickled carrots and daikon. I also requested for no jalapeno and cucumber. The bread tasted crisp and chewy, and overall it was something that filled me up for what I needed. My friend got a vermicelli bowl and felt like the overall dish was also okay, and that the fish sauce could have been more flavorful since that's usually a highlight for her. There was a bit of a long wait for it, like almost 20 minutes. We definitely chose to eat it to-go since the interior is also small and there's about 3 tables or less. They do offer an extensive menu though and I was pretty tempted to buy a drink and try it out from here. Parking lot is entered through Reseda and there's a whole area of the lot that's been fenced off for the longest. Might be hard to enter or exit if it's a busy time because of traffic. No bathrooms! Water cups available on the side if you need to fill up some water. read more

Stopped by for a quick pick up order. I ordered the pho 2 item combo (rare steak & beef balls ftw). This sandwich touched my soul for something simplistic. It's a perfect balance of refreshing vegetables and steak along with their secret sauce and jalapeño, the perfect combination. They're welcoming and quick with service. It is sort of a small space but you're are able to eat inside and outside comfortably nonetheless. read more

The vegan summer rolls and pho are the best I've had. The peanut sauce and fish sauce are also the best versions of these sauces I've ever had. There are only four tables inside, so I usually prefer take out. They're very nice and welcoming every time I visit and the parking lot is free. Just wish they had a restroom so I don't have to sneak in next door every time. read more

2.5 stars for food alone Maybe we went on an "off day" but their Chicken Lemongrass and Deli Combo Bun Me were really hard to eat. Bread didn't seem fresh, lemongrass hardly had any taste. We both had sandwiches that were tough to eat. Bland, dry and chewy. The opposite of what we expected. The crispy spring rolls looked good on their photo but what we got was nothing like the photo. Small and dry. Sadly, won't be coming back. I know this place has been here for years and has gotten rave reviews but today isn't in line with consistency. Place is small, no public restrooms but ample parking. A take out or eat quick type of spot. No issues if their Vietnamese food was actually good but not today. Disappointed. read more

We have been going here for YEARSSSS!!! Like 10 years- pretty much since they opened. This place has been A++ on quality and service EVERY TIME!! We loved an hour away and we still drive back to eat here it's so good, so fresh. Owner and staff are so nice and kind, we will keep coming back for more even if we move out of state- no joke we will come back for it! The Bahn me, the soups, the vermicelli, the Vietnamese iced coffee, all of it! Haha They will not disappoint! read more

The fact that I've been coming to Bun Me for years and have yet did a review is quite amusing to me. I am definitely a fan of this establishment and my family is as well. Usually I come to try the chicken and rice and chicken bowl or the pho, which I decided to get today which is always fresh, bomb, and savory. I am pho type of lady, so I do eat pho quite often, but in the valley I will recommend Bun Me, because it is my favorite pho in the city. So in other words, don't sleep on Bun Me! if you want to try Boba, sandwiches, and pho Plus they have much variety to choose from on their menu with good proteins at that. It's right next to Cal State Northridge so they do get a lot of business. They even have deals as well and specials, offered to you on their Boba and food options.. They also have teas and coffee with different flavors to pick! The service is phenomenal, and everyone has a very good customer service with good spirits! The ambience is decent, but it is very small inside. It's around three tables, and one outdoor seating table. Today I ate inside because I don't like taking my pho home to eat, but it was cool not bad at all and wasn't crowded so I enjoyed my meal. It's nothing fancy inside but the customer service and good quality of food is all I care about.. In a nutshell, I will continue to keep coming here and I recommend anyone in the area. I wouldn't come back here. I wanted it to become a favorite... Steak pho taken to-go. No plastic bowl came with the order. Broth in the container wasn't filled up all the way. I had to put the meat, veggies etc inside the broth container to be able to eat it. But I split it in half so it wouldn't overflow. The noodles were less than I'm used to compared to other places. The broth was okay. Not the best I've had. The broth wasn't as hot, so it didn't cook my meat all the way through, and I had slightly more than lukewarm soup after all the ingredients were added. The green onions were thick chopped. Thicker than I've ever seen them in a restaurant dish before. Then lastly there were several strands of hair wrapped around my untensil packaging. Not 1 hair, but multiple. I know the workers of this place hustled during the lunch rush. Service was nice, but I can't get over the food quality. read more

SO wanted a bahn mi. So we decided to give Bun Me! a try since it's been around for quite some time. It's a small little eatery. Clean and open for a quick bite. Deli - This comes with pork lunch meat?, pate, and grilled pork. Textures are okay. Flavors are kind of not as present as other bahn mis. Grilled Pork - Bomb. Good flavor, good ingredient to bread ratio. Shrimp Rolls - Good but had a bit much lettuce than anything else. Wish this had sprouts or vermicelli noodle. They aight. Fried Rolls - Good and good amount of flavor. All items come out fresh as soon as they are made. read more

Bun Me ALWAYS comes through on delicious food. I've never dined in but I always have a great experience when I order online for pick up. My order is always correct, the service is always great & food never disappoints! There's a good amount of parking, so that makes pick up very easy. We usually get the grilled pork sandwich and on my last visit I tried the vermicelli noodle bowl with grilled pork and I do have to say that will be my go to item from now on, Also their Thai Tea is bomb!! read more
