After a day of grocery and shopping. We stopped by for a quick eat and go. Today it was 3 stars. Service was good but not great. Also something was on fire in the kitchen while place was in smoke. My #3 looked off. The brisket cuts looked like the steak which was not appealing to me as usual. I also stomped on a roach crawling on the floor. I don't think I'll be going to this location unless I'm invited to meet here. Still love Pho So 1 but a different location

It's my little go to pho place in the valley. There's actually quite a lot of locations in the valley. I've been to a few as well as the one in semi valley. Honestly, Simi valley is slight better in my option. But this location isn't bad. It's pretty small compared to the others but it gets the job done. There's a small lot that's next to the restaurant but it's also next to a bigger lot that's shared with a few other businesses. Also street parking out front. It basically gets down to busy right when you walk in. Why is alway when you are seated, they literally ask are you ready to order...lol... Give me a couple minutes at least... Straight to it, if you want pho this is where you should be. They have a pretty big selections. Rice dishes as well as stir fry noddles dishes. If you're ordering any of the pho, it'll be out within a couple minutes. Side condiments come out pretty fast and the pho literally a few minutes right afterwards. Broth is made ahead of time so that makes it easy when arranging the dish. I normally get the special, which is number 1. Basically comes with everything. You can add extras for an additional fee. It does the job and I've always been satisfied with the meal. Price wise is really good. It's affordable for a big hearty bowl. Food has always been good. It's either pho, spring rolls and, bahn mi or some sort of rice dishes. It's alway been good. Service is decent. Sometime feel rushed but otherwise it fine.

Egg roll is phenomenal and is a must! Super crispy. Pork was really good too. My husband ordered combination pho and he finished everything too. Service was quick and deliberate. It wasn't loud at all, lots of tables and plenty of room in between. Will definitely go back for my late night pho

After a fiery debate with my Vietnamese hairstylist about Pho spots in LA, she convinced me to try this particular one and in this particular location only. I've been to other locations, but the hairstylist said that this one is the original one and it was more special and of higher quality. She was absolutely right! I ordered Pho Tai Chin bowl, that comes with brisket and rare steak. The large portion came in a huge bowl and the broth looked great-- clean, clear, without any weird tiny things floating around. It tasted very fresh, healthy and delicious and nourishing. The noodles were perfectly cooked, not sticking to one another and perfectly complementing the beef broth. The meats, both the brisket and rare steak that cooked itself in front of me, were very tender, lean and tasted great. I normally dip my meats into a combo of hoisin and sriracha sauces and send it right into my mouth. Into the pho bowl itself, I like to add the provided thai basil, jalapenos and then squeeze in 4 pieces of lime. I finish it off with hoisin, sriracha sauces and I mix everything up. What you get is a completed pho soup creation as recommended by the fine folks in the Vietnamese community, that's also a Top 3 Pho in SFV in my book. Verdict? great, delicious, good quality pho spot, with very generous portions. The place is large with 20 some tables to accommodate many parties. The customer service was good. They don't smile a lot in pho spots so don't expect that, but the service was very good and attentive. Would definitely come here again.

We were craving pho in the cold weather and came across this restaurant in the valley. They offer an extensive menu to choose from. We got the brisket pho and a grilled shrimp plate with rice paper and fresh veggies. The pho had a Delicious broth with speedy service! Will definitely be back

I stopped by to get a lychee boba with lychee jelly. Pho So has the best boba. Refreshing slushie with boba and lychee jelly. The straw should be a little wider, because the boba got stuck in the straw. The boba was soft and not rubbery like the other Vietnamese restaurant next door.

We came on a Saturday for lunch and were seated quickly upon entering. I ordered the Pho Ga which comes with rare steak and tendon, and I asked for the rare steak on the side. The pho is delicious, with a flavorful and clean tasting broth. The noodles are cooked well and not soggy. Their price is also cheaper than nearby pho spots and their portion sizes are huge, which are major pluses! Their staff is attentive - we asked for extra limes and raw onions and our server brought us everything quickly. Overall, a no frills spot but perfect for what we look for in a pho restaurant. Would definitely come back again! There is a slight discount for using cash as they charge a 3% credit card fee. Plenty of parking in the big lot in the back.

This place has great and fast service. The food is delicious. Their pho base is a bit on the sweeter side, you can really taste the Anaís and cinnamon. It is very good and a huge serving. It's definitely one of my favorite comfort foods. Their crispy egg rolls are so good. Will definitely come back. Very family oriented and a nice place to eat and enjoy a meal.

Saw a review of this location on Reddit saying it was some of the best Pho the person had ever had. Had to try it out myself and I have to agree. Service was prompt and poliete. Good came quickly and it was delicious. I look forward to coming back again.

Medium to large restaurant. Waiters can be slightly slow. They have 20-25 tables that seat 2, 4 , or 8 people. No hooked spoons. They have 2 tvs. No music but well lit with photos palm trees and Vietnam I'm assuming. Clean. Price is 12-14$ per dish. Parking is meter parking which is 1$ per hour 2$ max but free after 8pm but they have free parking in the back. It is a 20 spot lot with handicap space nearby. They have a boba place inside as well. They have child stools. Yes bathroom. No Venmo, no Zelle, yes google pay, yes Apple Pay, yes cash, yes credit card. They have a Flo EV charger nearby.

This place is my new favorite pho spot! The portions are massive and the prices are low! The service was fast as hell. The place even for it being later in the day was packed. I also love that they have a cute boba shop connected to it and you can go get a drink while eating here. What a fun place. Also I am usually picky about egg rolls but these were amazing. Love the texture of the paper on the outside. Just typing this up I want to go back!

Was feeling a little under the weather, so what's better than a nice hot bowl of pho? I ordered for pick up and my order was ready right when they said it would be. The staff when I got there wasn't the most friendly, but I was just popping in and out so we didn't have too much of an interaction my order traveled well, including my Vietnamese coffee. Online instead of the Vietnamese, coffee was strong, and they weren't lying. It's really good! I ordered the Pho Ga and I was surprised that the chicken wasn't dry. I feel like they experienced that a lot with chicken pho. There was a piece of chicken bone in my soup which I didn't really find appetizing. the broth was good, however, and the bowl came with lots and lots of noodles. The large size was almost too big for me, but it was only $1 to get the large. overall the prices were pretty fair. I would order takeout from this place again. The inside of the restaurant was also super cute with plenty of tables to dine in as well. Overall a decent choice for pho. Highly recommend the vietnamese coffee.

Best Pho hands down! The quality and taste is like no other! I had pho tai chin. I would recommend them over any Vietnamese restaurant.

The place itself is not that big, maybe 8 tables throughout? They looked short staffed because the person cleaning up the tables was also the person taking the orders and bringing the food, while it seemed like only one person was working in the kitchen. Nonetheless, service was good and the wait was worth the quality. They've got some other viet staples like banh beo and banh xeo which I have to try at a later time. We ended up getting the fried calamari as an appetizer and it was surprisingly good like Italian restaurant quality, and of course eggrolls. The eggrolls were fresh and crispy and I appreciated that they actually give you a lot of lettuce and herbs to wrap with them. For the mains we got the bun cha Hanoi and bun thit nuong. I think without the appetizers the portion sizes were a little smaller than I would've hoped for but the taste of both were good. This place is a quaint, little hole in the wall with quality, authentic Vietnamese food that exceeds expectations.

It had been a while since I visited my places in Reseda and I wanted to see if they're still as good as before. Sandwich Express did not disappoint! Back in the 80's I lived in Northridge and had a Vietnamese co-worker who was a friend and fellow foodie. He introduced me to banh mi and Sandwich Express, and I'm so glad he did! Starting with their amazing banh (baguette rolls), they're baked fresh daily. They're crisp on the outside and perfectly soft in their interior. Not too dense or thick - just the right crisp and airy bread to filling ratio that you want in a banh mi! You can also buy baguettes to take home. Back in the day they were 3 for $1! Yup, apparently I'm that old... today they're a couple of bucks, but still worth it. Sorry I failed to take pics of my sandwich when it was freshly made, I was just so excited to go back in time to this little corner of Reseda that looks like it hasn't changed! The photo shown is the next day.. and that's only HaLF of the sandwich! The lady at the counter was so sweet! Don't assume rudeness for challenges with communication. I was nice and she was kind in return. There's a language barrier and at first she was shy, but once we worked through the English-Vietnamese translations with the help of Google, I was able to ask her if they sell Kho Ga La Chanh (Chicken Jerky) - and she ran excitedly to the back and produced a sealed bag of their homemade jerky! Not the same flavor profile as the stuff I buy in San Gabriel Valley, but it's a start! I'll bring them a sample the next time I get a batch to see if they can mimic the sweet spice. Theirs is a little more "five spice" forward. I placed my order for a #1 "Dac Biet" sandwich, "extra pâté, extra veggies". That's my default sammie by which I judge all Bánh Mi and I'm here to say that even a day later, right out of my fridge it's still THE best Banh Mi in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys! Bright, fresh, generously filled.. and the magic bread. I happen to know that a local chain of popular phô restaurants buys their bahn (rolls) daily from Sandwich Express to make their own sandwiches and to serve with their Bho Ko (stew)! If you're wondering for reference where my bar is set, my go-to banh mi spots in San Gabriel Valley are Bánh Mi Hue Thai and Banh Mi Hoa Phat. ~IYKYK~ What has changed at Sandwich Express? It's not just sandwiches anymore AND they have a few tables inside where you can sit down to eat! They don't have my beloved Soda Xí Muội (salted plum soda) or the lime version either. Just canned and bottled American sodas, but that's not a deal breaker. Check out the posted menu pics. Bún Bò Huě, Bò Kho.. the owner did suggest calling first to make sure these items are available on the day you want to come, but she boasts that it's very authentic! They even have broken rice dishes with grilled pork chop (Cóm Tãm Súòn)! I read in another review that the original owners sold. I don't know if this is accurate or when it happened.. but I didn't see the older people that were often in the kitchen so it's possible! Back to the changes - they have desserts now, too! They also cater! What?!? No longer cash only, they accept Visa/Mastercard. I'm so glad we stopped! They still hold the #1 spot in the area. Convince me otherwise!
