    Sweet and sour pork

Great food, quick service ( in person and take out) and close to work so added bonus. I've visited twice in the last few months and always delicious. Nothing too fancy inside but the food is exceptional. So far I've tried the veggie egg rolls, cream cheese wontons, shrimp pad see ew, sweet and sour pork and of course the Thai tea. Everything is fresh and huge portions, you'll always have left overs. Otherwise easy street parking in front and a small lot in the back as well. A great local gem and so glad great Thai food is just around the corner.

They have such good lunch specials and daily specials its soooo worth it. The thai tea is legit tooo. The vegetables are also soo fresh. Only street parking is available tho

Man, I'm not sure what happened. Jaopaya used to be my go to! This last time they really dropped the ball. My order was wrong and the pad Thai had absolutely no flavor. I even had my husband try it because it was so weird that it didn't taste like anything at all, only oil. Also, no shrimp like I ordered (and paid extra for). Tom yum was good, but had like four pieces of chicken in it which was disappointing. Maybe it's because I ordered takeout later in the evening? Regardless, this was a complete miss for me. Maybe dine in is better? Not sure I would order takeout here again. Pretty disappointed :(

My son always orders from here for delivery. So I decided to try it out with my mom. Place is clean, lady is nice & friendly and food is very good! Cant wait to come back and try more dishes.

When you're in the mood for a delicious, quick meal, the pad thai with shrimp from this restaurant is a sure bet. The bits of egg included were delicious and I ordered the dish medium spicy. There was a perfect blend of sweet and savory, with a substantial portion that was enough for two meals. I also enjoyed a thai tea along with my dinner. It was a nice addition and was delivered without ice, which meant it did not get watered down before I was able to enjoy it. The amount of sweetness in the drink was perfect. This will be one of my regular restaurants to order from, due to the convenience and the large portions.

Got a take out. It was so bad I'm not sure if it was intentional or by mistake, because literally everything we got tasted like someone dropped the salt shaker by accident and spilled half of it inside. I have never tasted something more salty. Every dish was literally nothing, but salt.

Got the spicy noodles, egg rolls & fried wontons with Jasmine tea. The place is cozy & small with over a dozen tables inside, parking in the back & on the street. The lady was nice & food was hot , with yummy flavors. The spicy noodles were actually spicy & really good. Wontons were crunchy & fun to eat & so were the egg rolls. The cream cheese wontons were bomb. Hot , crunchy & flavorful.

We can here craving some Thai food for dinner. My girl friend and I had experienced their food before but through another friend of ours who recommended we order to go and we would just eat at their place. So after remembering where they were located, we decided to go. We came in hungry and ready to eat. We looked at their menu and decided to order the Dinner combination of pad Thai chicken and shrimp, pad see ew, red curry and combination fried rice. The food was so good!!!! All three of us were silent eating our food because of how good and tasty it was. The food came out really warm and ready to eat. Once we got all our food we just dove right in. We kept eating and even forgot that we ordered their Thai tea. The lady who was serving everyone was so nice!!! We were patient of course do to her being the only waitress/waiter. When she finished taking our order, she even have us looked over our order on the pad she was writing on to make sure it was right. And we definitely appreciated that. She also walked around a lot to make sure the customers and us were doing well. She even refilled our waters and Thai teas!!! She was amazing!!! At the very end, I was so full that I finally had time to look around and appreciate the decorations they had. Right above our table there were cute elephants. And I love elephants!!! The place was amazingly decorated. They do their best to keep it clean for sure!!! You can tell with the atmosphere of the place. This place is definitely a great secret place to eat at when you are wanting to eat Thai food at any given time. Looking forward to come back again to eat here and try other dishes!!!

The blandest, most tasteless Pad Thai I have ever had.
    Matt M.

I have ordered through DD several times, and this last time was a disaster. The pad Thai was literally tasteless. Not kidding--it was like they forgot the sauce! I have attached a photo to demonstrate that the dish looks great, but look at the color--there is no flavoring at ALL in the dish. Zoom in on the noodles - lots of oil, but that's it. Have you ever seen Pad Thai that lightly colored/sauced? I haven't. Completely tasteless. I have had a *lot* of Thai food, and obviously Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are the litmus tests. This was the worst Pad Thai i have ever had. I will not be ordering from here again.

Mom, Auntie, and I were at a community event in Reseda on St. Patrick's day, and while walking the boulevard, we passed by a few restaurants. I was feeling Thai so I picked this place. It's was a cozy place with Thai art and decorations. The lady greeted us so gently and sweetly, I was sure it was gonna be a great meal. We ordered chicken satay, pad thai and chicken fried rice. Most pad thai's I've had get dry fast, then it's not so good. Their pad thai sauce was a little runny, but I liked it that way. It coated the noodles better. The fried rice was the blue ribbon of all the dishes. So much flavor! No soy sauce needed! I'm from the San Gabriel Valley, but if I'm ever in Reseda again, I'm making a beeline here!

I came here for lunch and tried the pad see ew--absolutely delicious! The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the flavor was rich and savory. You can really taste how fresh everything is. The restaurant itself is super clean and well-kept, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely coming back!

They say intuition is a thing. I drove by many times, but something always made pass by, I guess that was my Angel... So, I ordered delivery . Let's begin: 1. No utensils 2. No napkins 3.No soy or spicy sauce Moving on to food. I have no complaints about steamed dumplings. Although, they were a big overdone. Pad Thai, as good as it looks disappointed me. The noodles itself were good. Good combination of traditional sweet/sour . Mets were bad. Chicken was -1 ( minus ) of taste. Like eating a rubber. Beef was with a bit of flavor but it was extremely chewy , like the worst cuts of meet, the worst ... Shrimp is shrimp , nothing to say there. On the good note, not greasy and no taste of old oil, felt pretty light. It's not bad, it's ok. 2 dishes $28 before tax. Would I do it again, I don't think so. But the meal didn't ruin my day. It's ok...

Spicy noodles with chicken. Would recommend, good flavor and spicy.

Very honest opinion: Not sure if I'm eating the same food as everyone else leaving reviews here,…read morebut I got the signature beef (Lanzhou) noodle soup combo and it was incredibly disappointing~mediocre. Server guy was chill. The food is served in a paper bowl, unlike the nice bowls you see in their pics. Tl;dr: if you're curious, don't waste your time, bafang is open 5min away Preface: I KNOW it's mall food, but for a restaurant that continuously pops up as #1 on Yelp whenever I search for food around the northridge/chatsworth area, I'm going to treat it as if it were a #1 spot. Beef noodle soup: to be very blunt, this was quite flavorless. The beef was dry as bones and looked like it was sliced with a mandoline. The noodles seemed undercooked and it felt like I was eating al dente spaghetti noodles. I got a medium spice level which didn't even seem that spicy, just a lot of cough inducing chili oil with no burn. Pan fried dumplings were ok. It honestly tasted like it was deep fried and not pan fried. Unsweetened black tea: hands down the best of the 3 things in the combo, which is quite telling. Honestly you get a decent amount of food for $15. But to constantly take the top 5 for recommended on Yelp in this area and waste my time to even look at it, it definitely doesn't belong remotely close to top 10.

The service was friendly and the wait was reasonable. Its located in the mall which means that you don't really get much of a vibe from this place alone but of everything surrounding. The soup was not spicy imo, I have a high tolerance, but it did have a good flavor. The noodles were thick and soft but they lacked a bit of flavor. The beef was soft and flavorful with the smaller bits of beef, which resembled ground beef, were very tasty. The soup was good overall but felt a bit too oily. The dumplings had a light crunchy exterior and the inside was juicy but it felt just a bit too mushy for me. Overall a good place and I would return to try something else.

Highly recommended! Location 4 stars: On the SE corner of Vanowen and Corbin in Reseda, CA, in a strip mall. Free self-parking on the lot and the surrounding streets. Venue 3 stars: A little run down, but that kind of adds to the charm. Indoor tables and booths. No outdoor seating. Service 3.5 stars: Friendly and helpful staff but not very attentive! They are always short-handed, with one (very nice) lady taking care of the entire dining area and also acting as the greeter and the casher! Drinks 4 stars: Bottled beer, wine, soft drinks (Pepsi products on fountain with free refill and Coke products in cans), tea and coffee. Basic but sufficient. Food 4 stars: Typical Mongolian Barbecue setup which became popular in LA in the 80's... The tradition continues here. You get a bowl of protein and add your own veggies, noodles and sauces at the self-service station and hand your bowl to a cook who stir-fries it on large dome. You get a variety of meats to choose from (Beef, Chicken or Pork - I usually get half chicken-half pork). They have lunch specials, a la carte items and All You Can Eat. It used to be (before Covid) that you also took the meat from the self-service station and you pile up as much meat in any combination as you could fit one time in your bowl, but those days are long gone. You also get rice, bread (a.k.a. pocket biscuits - delicious!), fried wontons, fried (breaded) shrimp and egg rolls, depending on which item on the menu you select. They also have fried rice and a coupler of desserts to be ordered as separate items, but I have not tried them. One thing I have noticed is that their portions continue to get smaller and smaller... The amount of rice I got this last time around was ridiculously small... about the size of an ice cream scoop :D

She's been coming here since before they upgraded the space, and from what I understand it's run by brothers. The family is really nice, and it definitely has that local neighborhood spot feel. The main reason she brought me was for their **bún riêu**, but I have to be honest -- it didn't really taste like bún riêu to me. It was still good, but the broth had more of a tomato-y, clearer base and felt like its own soup rather than a true bún riêu. I was also surprised they didn't have **shrimp paste** available for it, which felt kind of odd. They do have **bánh bèo** and some other Vietnamese dishes, which I thought was cool, and overall everything we tried was okay. I've had a different soup from here before, and I've also gotten it delivered, and I'd say the experience is pretty much the same across the board -- decent, solid, nothing bad, but nothing that really stands out for me either. That said, I'd still come back because my girlfriend enjoys it, the family is sweet, and there aren't a ton of Vietnamese spots I've tried out in the Valley yet. It's one of those neighborhood places that's nice to have around, even if it's not something I'd personally go out of my way for.

We stopped by on a Tuesday for lunch, and nostalgia definitely did not disappoint. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. The Jjolmyeon has always been our all-time favorite from the LA location, so ordering it was a no-brainer. And wow... it somehow tasted even better here! We also ordered the Yuk Kalguksu (육칼국수) and Gun Mandu (군만두), and everything hit the spot. The Yuk Kalguksu came with such a generous portion that I happily finished the noodles, enjoyed some of the rich, spicy broth, and still had enough soup and beef to box up for another meal. Talk about a bonus dinner! The mandu was perfectly crispy and paired so well with the refreshing, chewy jjolmyeon. For us, a restaurant earns a spot in our regular rotation only if it checks three boxes: delicious food, friendly service, and cleanliness. Hodori easily checks all three. In fact, I came back after work the very same day to pick up dinner for the family (because one visit clearly wasn't enough ). We ordered Galbi Ugeoji Haejangguk (갈비 우거지 해장국), Galbitang (갈비탕), Tteokbokki (떡볶이), Samgyetang (삼계탕), and Yukgaejang (육개장). I placed the order before leaving work, and by the time I arrived about 15 minutes later, everything was neatly packed and ready to go. As a working mom, finding a restaurant that serves delicious food, offers great service, and makes takeout this effortless feels like striking gold. It saves me time in the kitchen while keeping everyone's tummies full and happy. Safe to say, Hodori has officially earned a permanent spot on our takeout list.

They were quietly waiting while we looked at the menu and were just moving the utensils around on the table like normal little kids. I politely asked if we could order regular meals to dine in and kids' meals to go. The younger employee simply said no, which was fine--I was only asking. Then an older Korean lady came over, got right in my face, and loudly said, "NO TAKE OUT!" The tone was rude, embarrassing, and completely unnecessary. Instead of treating us with basic courtesy, she made us feel like we weren't wanted there. As we were leaving, she pointed at my kids and shooed them away from the table because they had moved the utensils around. I was honestly speechless. I would never let my children trash a restaurant, and I would have cleaned up anything before leaving. To make it worse, this isn't the first time. On a previous visit, I watched this same older lady and an older man give my friends dirty looks and a nasty attitude over the tip, even though they had already left 18%. Charging around $35 for a single meal with rice comes with the expectation of decent hospitality. Instead, we were treated with disrespect from the moment we asked a simple question. There are too many amazing Korean restaurants in Los Angeles to spend this kind of money and be treated this poorly. Save your money and go somewhere that values its customers.

They offer three versions of their tonkotsu ramen--Clear, Black, and Spicy. Of course, I ordered the Clear. Oh my goodness... this was exactly the ramen I'd been looking for. The broth was crystal clear yet incredibly rich and flavorful without being heavy. The chashu was melt-in-your-mouth tender, perfectly seasoned, and not greasy at all. The soft-boiled egg was cooked to perfection with a beautifully jammy yolk. The noodles reminded me of the ramen I had in Japan--simple, authentic, with the perfect texture and firmness. And the shredded green onions on top completely brought the whole bowl together. They added just the right amount of freshness and crunch. Game over. If you're looking for authentic Japanese ramen with a clean, flavorful broth, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back.

The servers and weight staff were super sweet really accommodating and kept checking in with us to see if we needed anything more or if we like the food or if we had any questions. The food tasted really fresh not too heavy. It was a very straightforward menu which we both appreciated. I'm really happy that my Ramen did come out as I imaged, you could smell the Yuzu from the broth. I did wish though it had a little bit more flavoring, but overall was pretty good. The location itself is in a shopping plaza inside. It was really calm pretty quiet. They have bar seating and a couple of tables throughout the area, but it's not a big restaurant which I like.! Overall, we'll try adding this place into our rotation for Asian food in the area

The food quality is artisanal and delectable and they are beautifully presented. My family always order the Pad See Ew, Green Curry, Crying Tiger, and Thai Iced Tea. The Pad See Ew and Green Curry are always good while the Crying Tiger is always a standout. Love the Thai iced tea, too! I suggest you order the Thai iced tea to go with the food at the same time or you might swill the drink until there is nothing left. Service was excellent. The staff exuded emotions of joy. If you see them smile then you smile back which equates to happiness. Food also comes out fast which is great especially when you are hungry. I like the interior. The lighting and mix of colors feel completely deliberate, structured and cozy. Honestly, environment can decide the mood. Price is reasonable for the experience you receive. The quality of food, the cleanliness, and the satisfactory service are all worth the price. Here is snapshot of my review: * Food Quality - Exceptional * Service - Exceptional * Ambiance - Good * Cleanliness - Exceptional * Price - Good Final Review: 5 Stars
