very light broth
Danielle H.

The staff is great. Everybody was very sweet and attentive. The place is clean and calm, though a bit sterile. The food and pricing was okay. Their pho broth is very mild. I was impressed that they also had a vegan option. The beef vermicelli salad wasn't great. It was on the bland side and primarily lettuce. The spring rolls were also mostly lettuce. I did like the peanut sauce though. If you need a quick, reasonably-priced, semi-healthy bite, Pho 22 is a decent option.

Great Pho!! Very tasty, I ordered well done beef brisket and flank with a sprinkle of cilantro and jalapeño yummm ordered my 6 yr old popcorn chicken w/fries she loved it. Service was good Anna our waitress was kind and attentive, place is clean with a relaxed environment. Recommend it.

Yummy food and great service. I ate my favorite brisket pho and the egg rolls. Honestly this place has the best portions and very savory clean broth. Highly recommend this place !

Spring rolls Chicken pho Chicken fried rice

Come by every now and then and have always loved the vibe here. Service is really good too Usually order a chicken pho and some spring rolls, this time ordered chicken fried rice as well. I do wish they had variety in the spring rolls like beef and pork instead of just shrimp but they are still good. The chicken pho is tasty in my opinion but I do feel like the fried rice could use a bit more flavor. If you are looking for very authentic Viet taste this is probably not the option for you, but if you want a light clean meal that tastes good I'd recommend.

Large Pho with Rare Steak
Maricar D.

The place was cutely decorated inside with a modern look and two large sized colorful posters caught the attention of my mom and I when we were walking down looking at the windows. The Pho broth wasn't flavorful at all. I hope they will improve the flavor here. The meat was chewy and tender (I got the rare steak) which is nice. However for the Large size, it did not feel like the quantity of a large size, it felt like a regular size. We were excited because the interior is cute and everything looked clean and new. The cool part was the refill on noodles, but they were just plain and it felt like too much at that point.

Vegetarian Pho and Tofu Bahn Mi

Been craving Pho for the longest and this def satisfied that craving! Got the vegetarian pho and a tofu Bahn Mi! Both were so delicious! The customer service was great and the space was so clean and welcoming :)

Friendly service makes this restaurant feel like home. Delicious well balanced comforting broth makes Pho 22's pho, incredible. If you like ribs, do try their special bone-in rib pho which is fall-off-the-bone tender, delicious, satisfying and filling! Served in a large bowl, this pho makes this restaurant unique. I wish they would provide fresh basil in addition to cilantro to make their delicious broth even more fantastic.

Northridge

Love Pho, and this is a great spot here in Northridge. Been here many times and started a review…read moreand realized I never finished it. The restaurant itself has a lot of seating, all inside, nothing outdoor at this location. Inside is clean and practical. It does have a beautiful painted mural along the entire wall which I don't believe was there before, but whomever did it, did an excellent job, pretty cool. The staff is super friendly, the food comes out fast and they come around often making sure we had everything we need and keeping drinks full. Places that keep my drink full are places with great service typically. I almost always get one of the Pho soups, but tonight I decided to get their Cornish Game Hen with veggies and rice, a chef's special. It was very, very tasty. The hen was done with a really crisp outside and super tender inside. I added jalapeños and cilantro as well. Excellent choice. My wife got her vermicelli noodles with grilled pork and egg rolls with fish sauce on the side. This is also an excellent tasting dish and I would recommend either of these as well as the Pho here and pretty much everything here tastes amazing. Unfortunately, I did not get shots of the menu. They are located at the corner of Nordhoff and Reseda. Large parking lot with plenty of parking. Enjoy!

I don't understand the raves and great reviews... but what do I know…read more. The service was ok, not great, not attentive, quite slow. There wasn't even a lot of people there. The inside was decent, at least it was clean. The food.. man, I was disappointed. I hoped the banh mi was going to be good, because we don't have a good banh mi place in the valley. The ones down the streets are hit and misses all the time, just depends if you're lucky. This one let me down, and the server was boasting that they make the bread in-house with their own secret recipe... sure buddy, too bad it's not that great. The pho was a let-down too, the flavor was not great, nor was the quality of the meats. Not worth the try.

Upon walking in, we were greeted with friendly faces We were quickly seated, and had our order taken. We both placed an order for a number 18 which is chicken and chicken broth. The broth was tasty, the chicken was soft, and the noodles were perfect. The bowl was a 10/10. The service was insane because we placed our order and we got our pho is less than 5 minutes, lol. Overall, I was greatly surprised with their service and cleanliness for being as busy as they were for dinner time. I will be back!

Prefer these tables to be all private but it is what it is. Brought my son and was forced to share a table with two Armo young women (I'm Armo too, what an embarrassment.) who were very loud and vulgar and complete attention whores. Though they were at the other end of the table the tone of voice really disrupted our meal. (C- for layout) Place is very clean and they clean tables extremely fast; food is also served at lightning speed. We got our food less than 4 minutes after it was ordered. (A for speed and cleanliness) Service: Efficient but could use some cheer and a nice welcome not even a thank you for our patronage. Also did not appreciate that they don't accept the Discover card. As a business owner I would never limit my customers choice of payment just because I'm charged one extra percent more than a Visa or MasterCard. At least they don't add any bullshit credit card charges here. (Overall: B-, A+ efficiency, C friendliness, D for credit card choice limit) Food: My son had rare beef pho, it was huge and the broth was borderline outstanding. He loved it. (A) I didn't feel like a soup today so I ordered a beef broccoli with shrimp and white onion with a side of rice this was also fantastic with very tender and delicious preparation with a light brown gravy sauce that tasted like a hybrid with soy sauce it was very good. (A-) The clear wrapped glass noodle shrimp and pork and veggie rolls similar to the ones we used to eat at CPK was a disaster. The boiled pork inside tasted like ass! Definitely won't order this again. Also needed scissors almost to separate them. (F-) Pretty good food and, PHO SO will be back, no pun intended.

The place itself is not that big, maybe 8 tables throughout? They looked short staffed because the person cleaning up the tables was also the person taking the orders and bringing the food, while it seemed like only one person was working in the kitchen. Nonetheless, service was good and the wait was worth the quality. They've got some other viet staples like banh beo and banh xeo which I have to try at a later time. We ended up getting the fried calamari as an appetizer and it was surprisingly good like Italian restaurant quality, and of course eggrolls. The eggrolls were fresh and crispy and I appreciated that they actually give you a lot of lettuce and herbs to wrap with them. For the mains we got the bun cha Hanoi and bun thit nuong. I think without the appetizers the portion sizes were a little smaller than I would've hoped for but the taste of both were good. This place is a quaint, little hole in the wall with quality, authentic Vietnamese food that exceeds expectations.

Their banh beo was good, but slightly more chewy/gummy than I'm used to - I would try something else next time. All that food ran us $75 before tip, and we took home leftovers!! Ambiance is modest and casual, with only a couple people working in the restaurant so expect a slower but no less friendly and attentive meal. I'll be coming back to try more of their menu. Love having a place like this in the valley where I know I can get some good banh xèo and unique Viet dishes apart from pho.

Whenever I'm in Reseda, it's really only to go here. Trust me, it's worth the trip since this is my "go-to" Vietnamese restaurant for 23+ years. Appetizers: Egg Rolls - 9.8 / 10 Quite possibly the crispiest, crunchiest egg rolls literally anywhere on the face of this planet. These are the egg rolls by which any other egg rolls that I eat is measured by. Granted my "Filipino Card" could be revoked for saying this, but if I had to choose between these Vietnamese variants over my heritage's Lumpiang Shanghai , I would have to go with the former. Soup / Pho: #9 Pho Ga - 8.5 / 10 I usually order rare steak pho myself, but since the person whom I always go with orders this, we just split a large rather, she's nice enough to me 1/3 of her generous large. I appreciate the simplicity. A pure, clean, chicken consommé with thick, juicy slices of chicken breast. I really only ever eat chicken soup when I'm sick, but I will gladly make an exception for pho ga. Entrée: #43 Bún Nem Nu'óng Thit Nu'óng (Heo Hoac Bò) (Charbroiled Pork or Beef, Grilled Pork Ball with Vermicelli Noodles & Vegetables) - 8.9 / 10 Hot take: when I usually get Vietnamese food, I don't get Pho unless it's raining (I know, I'm weird with this weather / temperature psychological thing). That said, the #43 hits the spot every time. Do yourself a favor & get this with beef (you can choose between charbroiled beef or pork). The (sliced) pork meatball is like a nicer, meatier spam. Throw that on some chilled rice noodles & round that off with some sliced vegetables (cucumber, carrots, daikon radish) & you've got a nice variety of flavors + textures. Bonus points for always getting directly seated as soon as you walk in. Looking back, I'm glad that one of my sister's former boyfriends introduced her to this place back in 2003. One of L.A.'s best kept secrets.

Big plus: huge FREE parking lot in the back I came in around 8ish PM. The place was busy, but my order came out in a reasonable amount of time. The pho broth was very flavorful (I eat my pho as-is), though I really wish it was piping hot. They use the egg roll wrappers I prefer, so that was a win. I also ordered the combination fried rice to-go--portion size was decent, but flavor-wise it was nothing exciting. Service was just meh. I've definitely had better service at their other locations, which was a bit disappointing. Overall: flavorful pho, good egg rolls--but I probably won't be back to this location because of the service. Good thing it's a chain; there are other spots to support.

However, cut to today where the prices have significantly increased - for the vibe and place - it's not worth it anymore.
