This review is about a pick-up order. I have dined in their Studio City and NOHO West locations in the past, and the food, service and ambiance never disappoints. They do catering, delivery and 3rd party orders. Yesterday, around 4:15 pm, my son was in Northridge and he and his friends felt like eating their freshly made food from scratch. They make their food right in front of you. You can see how their employees work adjacent along with management by their side. Team work makes a dream work. I told him to bring me something on his way back home. We all got different things. 1 BBQ Tri Tip Sandwich ($13.95), plus a small side salad with healthy veggies. Next, we got 1 Sweet Chili Crunch Chicken Sandwich with a small side salad ($12.25), 1 Chimichurri Steak Sandwich ($13.95), also with small salad, and the sauce on the side. The Ben Sandwich with a side of fruit ($7.95), & last, but not least a Grilled Cheese Sandwich with a small salad on the side ($6.25). The food was plentiful, fresh and delicious. Affordable prices for their portions. It has a parking lot that is shared with other businesses and a gender neutral restroom. Restaurant was very clean, and when my son got there, the food was already waiting to be picked up. It was 4:25pm They are known for their hand crafted Focaccia bread, freshly baked cookies, nice sized bowls, salads, soups and sandwiches. Thank you all very much. Wifey had some leftovers from the office and brought me a half thinly sliced steak or roast beef, whatever it was, my goodness. I've bookmarked visiting this place as it was one of the best put-together and tasting sandwiches I've ever eaten. Great toppings, nothing that a tomato slice or pickle wouldnt hurt, but already so loaded with coleslaw and cheese/meat. Paper-thin meat which I LOVE, and just super tasty A to Z. Urbane has been our go to for years and fuels my love for fresh focaccia bread. I love trying their seasonal bowls to change things up and the garlic sesame steak was great. Very refreshing and flavorful play on a Korean bowl. The kimchi cucumbers and seasoned kale really complement the bowl. Fresh focaccia on the side is always a must. My wife always gets the southwest bowl, and it never disappoints. We love how balanced the bowls and sandwiches are here. This place is usually busy so I tend to place an online order so I'm not waiting too long. Busy is great for this kind of place because the ingredients are always fresh. Discovered this cafe by searching for "fast food " after leaving a Dr appointment at Roscoe and Reseda. Can't believe I have never seen this place. The restaurant is attractive and clean and the music is NOT too loud. It's a very pleasant environment for meeting someone for lunch. Plenty of options for meat lovers and vegetarian eaters alike. The prices are very reasonable and portion size is just right. I had the portabello sandwich which came with a side salad. It was perfectly cooked, savory and delicious. The bread was so fresh and tasty. I will definitely be back to try the bowls and salads next time! read more

I appreciate a sandwich with good bread and Urbane Cafe has exactly that. They make their focaccia bread in store, daily. Their ingredients are fresh and they're pretty consistent. This eatery has plenty of tables and chairs for dining inside as well as outside. The place is spacious and a good size. The outside patio seating is a good size and the area is very clean. We ordered the Pesto & Sundried Tomato sandwich with salad and Pastrami Tri Tip sandwich with salad. The Pesto & Sundried Tomato sandwich has roasted chicken, basil pesto, sundried tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, arugula and vegenaise. It's very fulfilling and the chicken portions are just right. Great first visit! Brock was cashier who answered all our questions and was patient and had great customer service skills. I had the Southwest BBQ salad and it was amazing. The presentation was great and tasted the same. Gil brought out our order and was kind and professional. He said he prepared our meals and took great care in doing so. My friend mentioned the warm cookies they had so that was a no brainer. One chocolate chip, please. It was a real treat, not too sweet. This locations decor was warm with wood tables and chairs. While most establishments use the standard bread, yes maybe with different types, Urbane goes another route. Their main show is sandwiches made of freshly baked discs of focaccia bread (and you can see them being prepared). This time, I had the hunger for the "Club". Essentially, as advertised, it contains Roasted turkey, Applewood-smoked bacon, avocado, cheddar cheese, sliced tomato, green leaf lettuce, herb aioli. Served with Urbane Side Salad. While the accompanying salad was fresh, the sandwich was below par. I am going to be candid, so please do not misunderstand. Anytime there is bacon touted in a menu item, the eatery should deliver. In this case, it fell way short. A few limp pieces that hardly were noticeable or tasted. And therefore, disappointed the taste buds, the brain and the stomach. I don't know why I don't come here more often. This is only my 3rd time here. I have loved everything I've tried. Today I got the Cafe salad. Brock at the register was super nice and patient with all our questions. During dinner he even took our order for more focaccia bread and brought it to our table. Gil who made our salad and brought it to the table was the best. Took pride in his work and checked on us a couple of times. The restaurant was clean and well kept. When I took my dirty dishes to the trash, I didn't see any other dishes piled up. They were very attentive in keeping everything orderly. The only sandwich I ever really get are pesto mozzarella ones so of course, I went for the Pesto & Sundried Tomato. One of the best! So happy with how they do the bread too. Super soft and loved the Sundried tomatoes. Delicious sandwich overall and would definitely get again! I got the BBQ tri tip sandwich recently and I have to admit I think this would be my go-to order from now on! The beef was tender and delicious, the spinach salad was topped with vinaigrette dressing and sprinkled with a few mandarin orange slices that played on the sweet side of your tongue. Savory, salty, and sweet!! There is a bit of a wait during lunch rush but the outcome is so worth it!! A couple tables are next to outlets if you also plan to study in here with laptops or tablets! Absolutely love it here. It is such a healthy balance meal. Socal has avocado, and a delicious tomatillo salsa. I also had the barbecue chicken and it was out of this world so flavorful. The cookie is huge and it's homemade. They honemake their ciabatta as well as very soft and it's not hard at all. Every bite is super moist and melting in your mouth. I really appreciate the service here and I did take out for a big catering group that I was in. I really Appreciate Boxes that they provide during takeout as well. It's also recyclable. I decided to order the Baja bowl once the cashier told me that was a good options! And of course she was right! My food was so good with good flavor and was light! They even give you a side of bread as well, I did not eat all of it, but it was very tasty! The ambiance was decent but very clean inside and immaculate! I will come back here to try their sandwiches that look so delicious! I recommend trying the Baja bowl for first time customers. It's filling for you with all the protein and nutrients you need! Love Urbane. The food they provide is so fresh compared to what you usually see these days. They have an array of sandwich choices that alternate but they keep staples. For example the banh mi and Santa Maria bbq are two of my faves. Comes out to about $13 post tax and comes with a side salad. They also have salads and delicious cookies. Also if you love bread, try their faccacio. It's housemate and so good. Service is always nice and the inside is clean with a decent amount of seats for indoor seating. read more
