This was my first time trying Stone Oven after hearing great things from my coworkers, and it did not disappoint! It's a bit tucked away, located on the second floor in the food court by Subway, but worth seeking out. Service was solid, nothing special. I ordered the BBQ Beef Brisket Sandwich with a Caesar Salad on the side. The food came out in a reasonable time, and the sandwich was delicious--the bread was incredibly soft, and the filling was flavorful and satisfying. The Caesar Salad was pretty standard, nothing extraordinary, but it paired nicely with the sandwich. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try more of their sandwiches. It's been yeeeeears since I've had stone oven. I was in the mall shopping and decided to place an order since I was in the mood for a sandwich. I completely forgot about how much I LOVE their bread. So soft and flavorful. The bbq brisket sandwhich was really good but the garlic & basil chicken sandwich was better! We ordered both sandwiches with a side of Cesar salad...yummy! Since it is a weekday (evening), there was no line at all. The wait was about 5 minutes after the order was placed. Stone oven is located in the food court (Northridge mall) so there was plenty of seating inside and outside. Sometimes finding a clean table can be hard but usually I'll ask someone if they can clean off the table. Next time I am in the mall , I will order stone oven again (garlic basil chicken!) read more

I door-dash this place, I wake up and get this place, I go shopping and then get this place, I live and breathe for this place. So amazingly good. The workers are so fast and kind, always so helpful and accommodating. I don't know where else you can get sandwiches and a garden basil pasta like this one. I get the garden vegetable sand-which with extra balsamic vinaigrette and it's so good. Super cute in the corner location. My wife and I stopped by this Stone Oven in the Northridge mall food court. We been to this mall so many time but never came to this Stone Oven. Today was the day because my wife wanted to get her spicy chicken sandwich. We came like 30 minutes before they closed so they were not busy at all. We were to put in the order right away and I also saw they don't have free refills here on the soda so be aware. My wife got Caesars salad for her side and we watched them make the sandwich in front of us. It didn't take long and we left to eat it at home. My bf orders from here whenever we go to the mall and I've had a few bites from his spicy chicken sandwich over time and it's always so good. I end up ordering or craving something else from the mall so I've never actually ordered my own sandwich till the other day! I ended up going for the garlic and basil chicken sandwich since I LOVE anything garlic and I loved it! Love the "bread" they use since it's closer to a pita bread and super soft. 3.5 Stars for the restaurant in Northridge Mall food court. Hard to believe it's the same franchise from the one in Topanga Mall. Aside from the salad dressing and the focaccia bread, I would swear my usual Asian Chicken Salad is from another place. This one had little to no chicken , literally it was less than an average leg. I know because I always put the chicken aside when I put my dressing. Also the lettuce was so small in portion I could see the bottom of the black plate before I started eating. I'm striving for a healthier life style and i'm over the CCC, Chipotle, Subway and Greek phase. THENNN I was introduced to this beauty at the mall. $8 for a relatively large salad or sandwich? TAKE MY WALLET. I was able to add extra toppings for free too! CSUN's Arbor Grilled would've charged me $1.25 extra for what I requested! The Stone Oven in Topanga mall had great reviews so I decided to try out the one in the Northridge mall. I went with their BBQ chicken salad and the salad was really good. It had a nice blend of lettuce, beans, corn, and onions. The chicken was nicely coated with BBQ sauce and the dressing was on the side so it wasn't drowning in it. Two twists on the typical BBQ chicken salad...They add some of those thin crispy onion rings on top (tasty!), and the bread that comes with the salad is worth getting on its own. With my truck being serviced at Northridge Toyota and a two hour apheresis donation process, I got hungry and need to buy some time. I am glad I bought my truck near a mall. I saw the selection of sandwiches and found my list of salads. I saw the one that I usually get....BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad ($7.65) with a Diet Coke ($1.39). My total was $9.83. The BBQ Chicken Salad had mixed greens with slices of chicken with BBQ sauce on them. The one part of the salad that made it awesome was the tortilla strips. I thought it was small cuts of onion rings, but after reading the online description, it was tortilla chips. The ranch dressing was awesome, but the BBQ sauce on the salad was good. To add some more to awesome the bread that they cook in the open oven. The Foccacia Bread was just right. Fresh and delicioso. Even better with the ranch sauce. I used to work at the Forever 21 at the Northridge mall and i was so excited when i found out the mall was getting a stone oven. Hands down the best sandwiches i have ever tried. Their bread is made there in there stone fire oven. Things i've tried: Spicy Chicken Sandwich: My all time favorite here. It has sun dried tomato ranch, cheese, black beans, corn, avocado and spicy chicken. I always ask for an extra side of their sun dried tomato ranch because it is so GOOD. Pasta Salad: This is the side i always get. It is a cold pasta salad with sun dried tomato and pesto. So tasty and i also add the sun dried tomato ranch on this. BBQ chicken sandwich: This is so delicious. The onion crisp and BBQ sauce makes this sandwich perfect Basil Chicken Sandwich: Not my favorite but not bad at all. Yeah I was wonderfully surprised. I really, really, really, really hate the food court here at Northridge Fashion Center. I've seen restaurants come and go. And forget about the restaurants on the south side of the food court--all are nasty and seem strangely out of place in the new decor and feel of the updated mall. Anyway, this restaurant threw me off guard. I looked at Yelp and they had 4 stars. I thought I'd give it a chance. And, boy, I'm so glad I did. I have seriously found my new salad place. Their Chicken, Apple, Pecan and Blue Cheese salad was fantastic. The chicken is that crap you get from Subway. You can tell it's pulled strips of chicken.
