A five-star rating will always get my attention, so I was curious to see if Lemon Zest lived up to the hype. It definitely did. We were seated right away, which is always a great start. We kicked things off with the Shiraz salad and pita bread. The salad was fresh with a nice tang, and the grilled pita added a really good flavor to it. For mains, we had the vegan beef gyro and the falafel gyro with fries. Both were really good. Well seasoned and the portions were generous.

Brought my mom here for her early birthday dinner on a Sunday night, there was plenty of people and plenty of space for big parties. The staff was very friendly and greeted us as soon as we arrived, there's like a lounge area as soon as you walk in that they were just waiting at for people to come I guess. The food was amazing! Portion and price totally worth it! Would love to come back again soon!

Came by to have dinner with family. I think my first time may have been years ago as I don't remember so this may as well be my first lol. I like the design of the place and it has an "open" feel to it. Most of the tables were full but we were seated quickly. Our server, Natalie was really nice and delivered great service. I ordered the Combo #2 Beef Kabob and Chicken Lule. With half and half rice and garden salad. Wow even at half, there was a lot of salad! Actually portions were all pretty large. The salad and rice were both good. The salad was actually kind of filling cause it had so much in it! The beef kabob was juicy and flavorful. The chicken lule looked good but was a tad dry. May have been my dish though as I was surprised, considering everything else I ate. We also tried the Truffle Parmesan Fries. The fries were cooked well and crispy. Creamy with a hint of tanginess and zesty. Very good! I would definitely return. Thank you!

Very high reviews and I completely agree! The price point is a bit high, but the portions are larger, quality is great, and everything was delicious!!! I ordered completely different than my usual Mediterranean go to meal, but I was very impressed. A huge gyro and side of fries was very satisfying. The beef gyro is one of their best sellers, so naturally I ordered it. Not sure what made me choose fries, but these were perfection. There was plenty of parking in the evening hours in the private lot. Only thing is the front of the restaurant is dark so it's easy to miss driving by. This may be my new favorite spot in the valley (for Mediterranean food).

We haven't dined in yet, but we've ordered delivery from Lemon Zest several times and it's been consistently excellent. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and comes in very generous portions. We've tried a variety of items--plates, wraps, and gyros--and everything has been delicious. You can really taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. They're also great about following special instructions and modifications, which we really appreciate. Reliable, tasty, and satisfying every time--we'll definitely keep ordering!

Read the other reviews for food. Mine will solely be for info I wish businesses were upfront about. This is my fight against hidden restaurant fee-flation and for price transparency. price as of 3/23/26 Extra service charges or fees (other than tax and tip): none Tip lowest default: tablet, 15% Allows bill split/itemize: yes Note: price on menu seems to have the cents truncated, but receipt price shows cents Fee transparency/fairness score: 4.5/5

Food was delicious! Really loved the chipotle chicken kabob. Service was great, my server was friendly and my food came out quick after ordering. Seating area is comfortable, restaurant has both a bar seating area and a regular dining area. Great stop for lunch or dinner

First of all, the parking lot is kind of crap. Like always packed, tight, people parking like twats and eating up two spots. So discouraging. But we will overcome, dammit. And so we did! It says please wait to be seated but there's no host. No worries - they're short-staffed and everyone is running around. We wait until someone grabs us and snag a spot easily. The table is dirty but someone comes over to wipe it down. We get waters - the glasses have a scent to them, and not a great one. I'm willing to overlook it and just don't drink the water. Was really excited about the meal. The food is fucking epic. The vegan beef Lule kebab is one of the best things I've had in a long time. Delicate, well-seasoned, just bursting with flavor. I overheard that they sold out of it right after we got it, so you know it's popular. We also tried the salmon kebab, which is also absolutely delish. Most of the Mediterranean places we've tried tend to overcook fish and this was done just right. Seasoned to perfection. The pickled cabbage was the tits - I love pickled veg and this was such a nice bite with the salmon or lule, on a little piece of grilled pita. We also tried the veggie platter, which was pretty good. The falafel are a little small and just alright, in my opinion. But the roasted veggies were great the hummus was solid, and the Greek salad was a nice palette cleanser. Price is very fair for the quality and size - we came hungry and still left with a bunch of leftovers. Would 100% return here and maybe get some bottled beverages next time. Willing to overlook some of the annoyances for good food always. Or maybe just get takeaway to avoid it altogether. Decisions, decisions!

I had an issue with a food delivery service cancelling my order. However, Sevan (the owner) was extremely helpful in getting my food order resolved. Not only did he personally reach out to rectify the issue, he personally handled and delivered my order. The food at Lemon Zest is always amazing. I ordered the #1 combo (chicken kebab and beef Lula). Everything is always made to order and fresh tasting. The servings are big and the presentation of the food is always excellent. If you are in the mood for a Mediterranean style meal, look no further than Lemon Zest. It's easily the best in the Valley.

The Place- Nicely done. The Food- 1) Loaded Chipotle Fries- Good and I would get it again. Next time I would ask for an extra side of chipotle aioli sauce because once I ate the top off the fries I needed more. 2) Had the lunch special that came with a choice of two different kinds of meat, two different choices of sauces, rice and vegetable. I would recommend. Service- Friendly Parking- Shares a fairly small parking lot with other businesses.

    Baba ganoush and hummus
    Nune P.

The food was ok. The eggplants were not peeled very well for the baba ganoosh, so you can feel the texture of the peel as you're eating it. The hummus is solid and standard. The sarme isn't bad. I wish they had a lemon wedge to go along with the plate because it could definitely use a lemon. The rice and kabob plate was ok. I'm not sure if I would order again from this place. It wasn't impressive.

My BF said his Americano was excellent, not acidic or bitter in any way. My strawberry matcha was good, a bit too jammy, but not cloyingly sweet although the matcha itself was mildly flavored, it was highly caffeinated since it kept me from falling asleep at my regular time. If I was in the area I'd absolutely go back there again.

If you cannot get street parking in front of the cafe, you are better off parking in the Harbor Freight parking lot off Nordhoff and taking the 2 minute walk. Yellow House is nestled between other small businesses but you won't miss the entrance as it is highlighted by a big yellow wall. Ambiance: The exterior of the building almost plants the idea that the cafe will be small, but once entering the building you get a different feeling. The interior is spacious even having 2 stories. The interior exudes a calm, cozy, minimalistic feel. It really does feel like you are walking into a warm inviting yellow home, albeit a little loud and busy. There is a good amount of natural light coming from all the windows and depending on the time of year, they also decorate for each holiday. Drinks: We have gotten the tiramisu iced latte, creme brulee matcha, Earl grey Matcha, and Strawberry matcha, and sea salt caramel americano. Order all drinks half sweet or you'll get a cavity- heed the warning of this tooth fairy. But in all seriousness, their drinks are SWEET so be aware. All of the drinks taste like what they advertise though which is amazing! If you're looking for top tier matcha quality this isn't the place, this isn't Rocky's matcha but if you're in sheer desperation and ache for some green drink derived from leaves, it'll work. Ambiance: This coffee shop is quaint and feels a little cramped when you finally get inside and through the line. There is a counter top with some chairs as well as one couch and desk where one can study although, I personally never would. It's clean and bright with a minimalistic vibe inside. With it being cramped, you basically just get in, order, and get out. It's rare to find seating inside and it can feel overwhelming just sitting there trying to enjoy your drink with so many people around. Drinks: We've been there multiple times and you can always expect the same- mid, slightly overpriced, oh- getting some post purchase clarity. But it's the type of slightly regretful decision we continue to make every time. We've gotten the matcha einspanner on several occasions, vanilla iced latte, caramel latte, and the most disgusting Americano known to man. Whether you get the dark or light roast Americano, you will not run away from the burnt and bitter flavor. Service: The line moves quickly, they take your order and get you in and out without a long wait. They also offer stamp cards, buy 10 get the 11th free. What a steal! Gimme 10 more! Overall: All this to say, it's oddly grown to be a valley staple, and represents some bordering LA values- overpriced, overhyped, but for some reason addicting in the fact you always seem to go back. I would say 3.5 but it doesn't allow it, so I'm feeling generous today.

Curious, I ordered one. With my Cortado -- an admirable balance of espresso and frothy cream -- I found a table. Soon, he came by to confirm I'd get my slice. A young lady followed, letting me know the cake wouldn't be ready for a while. I told her it was no problem; I had work to do. I opened my laptop and became so engrossed that I didn't hear my name called. Another lucky customer got that elusive coffee cake -- it vanishes the moment it hits the counter. Mario was the third person to check on me. He told me another batch was in the oven, but I was leaving soon. He apologized and offered any pastry on the house, particularly recommending the chocolate chip cookies he had baked himself. I accepted. When he set down the cookie, I asked if I could order an Americano. He returned with that as well, on the house. The cookie was huge, freshly baked, loaded with chocolate chips and just enough walnuts to stay out of the way of the gooey goodness. I broke off a piece -- soft, warm, the chocolate chips melting with every bite. You cannot have a better one. There was a steady stream of clientele representing the diversity of the neighborhood. The atmosphere is friendly, cheerful, and genuinely welcoming -- the neighborhood is enriched by it. Impressed does not begin to cover it -- the people, the Cortado, the cookie, a chocolate chip one at that. Buen provecho.
