Such a lovely restaurant nestled nearby Cal State Northridge. It may be easy to miss it while driving on Reseda Blvd, but I highly recommend putting this Lebanese restaurant on your map. With a party of 5, we went into town with our order of The Diala Special, Egg & Soujouk, Lahme Ajeen, Mini Cheese Bread, Chicken Shawarma, and Nutella Mannaish. Out of all that we ordered, "The DIala Special" was my favorite and certainly earned that Special name. It s named after owner Chef Hassan's own daughter. What all of our dishes have in common is homemade dough, and the Diala Special really delivers with its akawii cheese and sesame seed topping. It's similar to the Mini Cheese Bread, but just a bit more savory and added nuttiness in flavor from the sesame seed. The toasted, yet chewy dough wrapping both top and bottom really goes a long way here, and the stuffed cheese in the middle has such a delicious, mildly salty cheese flavor. The Mini Cheese Bread is still good even though it's missing the sesame seed because of the same akawii cheese used. It is also a bit thinner than the Diala Special since it is one layer of bread. The Egg & Soujouk was the one that took us a bit by surprised because we haven't really had soujouk before. Soujouk is a spicy, fermented and dry-cured sausage, and there is something in the spices (cumin maybe?) that really stands out, giving it a bit of a curry-flavor. It is good, but unexpected! On the flip side, the Lahme Ajeen felt the most traditional with its marinated ground meat mixed with tomatores, parsley, and onion over homemade fresh dough. Flavorwise, it is a bit polite by itself, but when you add a squeeze of lemon over it, the taste really livens up from the acidity! Our last meal, the Chicken Shawarma is probably the least interesting to me since it a bit underseasoned and somewhat forgettable. Finally, the Nutella Mannaish is simply rich and decadent! If you have an insatiable sweet tooth, this dessert is a must! It is a flatbread with Nutella, banana, chocolate syrup, sliced almond, white sugar, and pistacchio. I've never had Dubai Chocolate, but I would think it's similar to this. It is just melt-in-your-mouth goodness! Just like all the dishes, this Mannaish is generous in portion. All their dishes are shareables, so bring along a few friends and family to taste the tasty food from Chef Hassan!

I can't believe we didn't stumble in here until today! A bit tough to see from the street but there's excellent parking. Hassan, the chef/owner, was so welcoming and is clearly passionate about serving great, healthy, fresh food to his community. We turned over our ordering choices to him and he did not disappoint! We tried a handful of dishes and would certainly eat them all again. The homemade pickles were addictive. They have muhammara on the menu, which is tough to find. I can't wait to go back to this neighborhood gem and try more menu items!!

I had such a great experience at Zaatar & More! This was my first time dining here, and wow the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The customer service was just as amazing as the food. From the moment I walked in, everyone was so welcoming and kind. The owner was incredibly nice, and all of the workers made sure we felt comfortable and taken care of. It truly felt like a place that values its customers. I'm so glad I tried this spot and I honestly can't wait to come back again. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for great food and even better service!

Nice little gem in this neighborhood. Cozy family restaurant. Hassan and his family are so nice. Great service. Amazing foods. Very authentic and tasty. The dough is so fluffy. Crispy and light but very filling. All the toppings are so balanced and not overpowering the great dough

If you're craving real Lebanese flavors, Zaatar N' More in Northridge is a must-visit. The manakish comes straight from the oven -- crispy, loaded with fresh zaatar, and absolutely addictive. Every bite tastes like home. What sets it apart is Hassan -- super friendly, lightning fast, and he serves everything with a smile. He's passionate about every plate and it shows. Plus, they play Fairuz in the background, so you're literally transported back to Lebanon while you eat. Perfect vibes, perfect food, perfect service. Five stars all the way. Go hungry -- you'll be hooked after one bite.

If you are looking for authentic Lebanese bakery (Mana2eesh and more), can't recommend any better place. Authenticity, presentation, culture, love, hospitality, generosity, care, and joy. All together and more at Zaatar N More. Truly the best food and people ever! Thank you Hassan, and amazing staff!

My original lunch plans fell through for today And my husband reminded me I wanted to go here. Hassan the owner/chef was very welcoming, said he would not serve anything he wouldn't eat himself. The beef shawarma with the pickles and garlic sauce was one of my favorite items- flavorful great bite. Diala Special was perfectly baked, loved the sesame seeds on top and the cheese has such a good toothsome bite. Stuffed Cheese and Zaatar- this was so flavorful and I want this to be the base of my future pizza. Overall cute and tidy restaurant, I cannot wait to go back and try more place. Tables were comfortable, plus size friendly.

Highly recommend this place. We were greeted by the owner when we walked in, and he was incredibly warm and helpful, walking us through the menu and helping us choose what to order. Every single thing we got was delicious. I love this spot because it's come up before as a casual option, like a place you could grab pizza and wings for a game night, and I always passed on it thinking I'd be missing out on more traditional choices. Turns out, you can absolutely get regular pizza and wings here, but you can also get some truly phenomenal dishes beyond that. The shawarma was amazing. The pickles were amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It's the kind of place that works just as well for an easy night in as it does for trying something a little more special. We'll definitely be back.

We opted for the Labneh Wrap and BBQ Chicken Pizza The wrap was packed with flavor and the pizza was delicious. Look forward to being back.

My wife and I tried Zaatar N' More for the first time last weekend and had a great experience. Ordering at the counter was quick and easy, and the menu was very clear and easy to read, with helpful illustrations. They specialize in Lebanese flatbreads and pizza pies (including halal options), and everything we ordered came out fast and tasted excellent. You can tell the food is made with care and quality ingredients. We also really enjoyed the desserts. Overall, the food and service made for a really pleasant first visit. We're already planning to come back again -- this time with friends. Highly recommend!

Mediterranean food is pretty consistent (ie the same) for my tastes wherever I get it so I was pleasantly surprised by a few elements of Pi. The pies, for example...I tried the Zaatar pie...honestly it was not much more then a thick, airy, freshly made pita with Zataar and olive oil on it...but it's sometimes the simplest things which delight. The Zaatar pie delighted. I tried the Lebanese red wine (I mean, when in a Lebanese restaurant, why not?) And it stood up to any red I'd had anywhere else. The Tabouleh (one of my Mediterranean standards) was fresh made, filling, and a nice companion to the heavier Zaatar pie. It was awfully nice, and unexpected, to get complimentary baklava at the end of the meal...2 generous sized pieces which were pretty indulgent and eliminated the need to get (and pay for) dessert there or anywhere else. Service was lovely...the manager or owner took care of us and made us feel he was truly grateful that we were there. It's also a hookah spot...so if you're not into that vibe or smoke of any kind, (I'm not really) you'll definitely smell that anywhere you are in the restaurant, even if you're not seated next to those using hookahs. If you've got a hankering for Mediterranean...especially a place that has some unique things not at other Mediterranean spots, definitely give Pi on Sunset a shot.

Unfortunately, it was a complete letdown. The sandwich was extremely unappetizing. The bread was soggy and falling apart, and the filling looked and tasted like it had been sitting out way too long. It didn't feel fresh at all, and several of us couldn't even finish it. The fries were even worse, they tasted stale, like they were at least a day or two old, and had that chewy, reheated texture instead of being crispy. Definitely not something anyone would want to eat.

It's moist with a crispy outer edge and the right amount of salt to taste but not be salty. Most of the items on the menu have pretty large portion sizes, and there is a vast selection of items. Know what you like because going through this 5/6 page menu can be exhausting. The food here includes standard breakfast and lunch items, and there is a gluten free option. Nothing is overly salty, and the sweet items are mildly sweet when without syrup, which we enjoy. Nothing shouts out at us to give the food an upstanding 5/5, but this is still a solid pick for an American diner. Note that if you order anything with strawberries (including the fruit cup), you will get exactly 1 strawberry cut into 4 pieces to ration during your meal. Service: 2.5/5 There is one person manning the floor the majority of the time, and he does a good job managing multiple tables. We came in at 9 am on a workday and there were already 25 people in the restaurant, all managed by this one waiter. There is another person who pops in every now and then to deliver food and refill coffee. That said, don't expect to be checked in on often or to quickly get your order in. Also, special requests may or may not be satisfied-- I requested that the whipped cream in my waffle order came on the side, only for it to come right in the middle of my waffle. Atmosphere: 4/5 It's a lively place! This is a popular and long lasting restaurant for a reason. The music is not loud, and there is a comfortable amount of space between each table. I would recommend this place for a family meal, a casual work outing, or a date for an established couple. Final rating: 3.5/5 (rounding down to 3 on Yelp)
