Zaatar eggplant
Yoshi B.

Zaatar N More is the quintessential Mediterranean style pizza and wraps hole-in-the-wall. While small and unassuming, the staff is friendly and excited to share their food with you. For this visit, we tried an eggplant style zaatar "pizza", the chicken shawarma wrap, a falafel wrap, and baklava. The pizza was a delicately thin but fluffy treat with small crispy chunks of eggplant and a thin layer of juicy meat hugging the pita-like bread. The zaatar seasoning was a nice balance of nutty and zesty stop the savory goodness. For the wraps, the star was very clearly the chicken shawarma wrap. With fluffy pita wrap that was just the right thickness filled to the brim eith incredibly tender chicken, pickles, and a lovely soft fried potato that gave additional body and texture to the wrap. And the garlic sauce smeared within is fantastic, with a nice creamy consistency. This was perfection. Even the baklava and a really rich but pleasant sweetness to it with plenty of pistachio embedded between the layers of phyllo. This is nearly a two hour drive for us, but I would try to find another reason to make the drive. Zaatar N More is really exceptional and worth a try!

Theres a reason why they have 5 stars. Small quaint location that makes it a bit cozy. Clean bathroom. Delicious mannaish, their "bbq chicken pizza", soujouk khachapuri. I saw a very difficult patron and they handled the issue with class. Staff is friendly and took their time explaining the menu too.

Well, today marked my first visit to this restaurant. We had been next-door ordering food from another restaurant, but I decided to try their wings and pizza. I compared them to other places, and I must say, they were hands-down the best. The flavors were authentic, the food was clean and unblemished, and the portions were generous. The owner was incredibly generous and offered to give us the food back if we didn't like it. I was so impressed with the quality of the food that I decided to pay for it myself. The staff was kind and courteous, and the atmosphere was educational. Some of the pictures on the wall were beautiful, and the place was clean and well-maintained. I really appreciate these things in today's society. Overall, I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal. I also had lemonade, which was just outstanding not too sweet not too tired just right.

We drove an hour to try this place and omg so glad we did! It was absolutely worth the drive. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, and the restaurant is very cute. We tried these manakeesh: sujuk with cheese, muhammara with cheese, diala's special, lahmajun, zaatar, and nutella. And everything was so good. This is hands down the best manakish we've had in SoCal. Highly recommend this place!

My youngest wolfing down some Zaatar and cheese. Yea, he can finish a whole one no problem

Such a lovely restaurant nestled nearby Cal State Northridge. It may be easy to miss it while driving on Reseda Blvd, but I highly recommend putting this Lebanese restaurant on your map. With a party of 5, we went into town with our order of The Diala Special, Egg & Soujouk, Lahme Ajeen, Mini Cheese Bread, Chicken Shawarma, and Nutella Mannaish. Out of all that we ordered, "The DIala Special" was my favorite and certainly earned that Special name. It s named after owner Chef Hassan's own daughter. What all of our dishes have in common is homemade dough, and the Diala Special really delivers with its akawii cheese and sesame seed topping. It's similar to the Mini Cheese Bread, but just a bit more savory and added nuttiness in flavor from the sesame seed. The toasted, yet chewy dough wrapping both top and bottom really goes a long way here, and the stuffed cheese in the middle has such a delicious, mildly salty cheese flavor. The Mini Cheese Bread is still good even though it's missing the sesame seed because of the same akawii cheese used. It is also a bit thinner than the Diala Special since it is one layer of bread. The Egg & Soujouk was the one that took us a bit by surprised because we haven't really had soujouk before. Soujouk is a spicy, fermented and dry-cured sausage, and there is something in the spices (cumin maybe?) that really stands out, giving it a bit of a curry-flavor. It is good, but unexpected! On the flip side, the Lahme Ajeen felt the most traditional with its marinated ground meat mixed with tomatores, parsley, and onion over homemade fresh dough. Flavorwise, it is a bit polite by itself, but when you add a squeeze of lemon over it, the taste really livens up from the acidity! Our last meal, the Chicken Shawarma is probably the least interesting to me since it a bit underseasoned and somewhat forgettable. Finally, the Nutella Mannaish is simply rich and decadent! If you have an insatiable sweet tooth, this dessert is a must! It is a flatbread with Nutella, banana, chocolate syrup, sliced almond, white sugar, and pistacchio. I've never had Dubai Chocolate, but I would think it's similar to this. It is just melt-in-your-mouth goodness! Just like all the dishes, this Mannaish is generous in portion. All their dishes are shareables, so bring along a few friends and family to taste the tasty food from Chef Hassan!

I can't believe we didn't stumble in here until today! A bit tough to see from the street but there's excellent parking. Hassan, the chef/owner, was so welcoming and is clearly passionate about serving great, healthy, fresh food to his community. We turned over our ordering choices to him and he did not disappoint! We tried a handful of dishes and would certainly eat them all again. The homemade pickles were addictive. They have muhammara on the menu, which is tough to find. I can't wait to go back to this neighborhood gem and try more menu items!!

There are places that try too hard. And then there are places like Zaatar N'More -- where flour, fire, and a little bit of salt tell you everything you need to know. We ordered the zaatar and cheese stuffed mannaish-- blistered, golden, perfumed with wild thyme and sesame. It's the kind of bread that makes you shut up for a minute. The zaatar hits first -- earthy, sharp, unapologetically Levantine -- then the molten cheese pulls it together like a band that's been playing the same neighborhood spot for decades. Honest. Direct. No shortcuts. Then the adjaruli kachapuri lands on the table -- a canoe of blistered dough carrying a molten lake of cheese and egg. You tear into it, stir the yolk through the cheese, and suddenly you're participating in something ancient and slightly indecent. The crust has chew and character. The filling is rich without apology. It's comfort food with backbone. But here's the thing -- the soul of the place isn't just in the oven. It's Hasan and his family. They introduced themselves, welcomed us in like we were regulars, and made it clear this isn't just a business -- it's their table. That kind of hospitality can't be faked. It's either there or it isn't. Zaatar N'More is the real deal: generous food, proud hands, no pretense. Five stars. Go hungry. Leave like you've been taken care of

I had such a great experience at Zaatar & More! This was my first time dining here, and wow the food was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The customer service was just as amazing as the food. From the moment I walked in, everyone was so welcoming and kind. The owner was incredibly nice, and all of the workers made sure we felt comfortable and taken care of. It truly felt like a place that values its customers. I'm so glad I tried this spot and I honestly can't wait to come back again. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for great food and even better service!

Nice little gem in this neighborhood. Cozy family restaurant. Hassan and his family are so nice. Great service. Amazing foods. Very authentic and tasty. The dough is so fluffy. Crispy and light but very filling. All the toppings are so balanced and not overpowering the great dough

They've always been super accommodating because my coworkers and I make pretty big orders and when I arrive, it's always ready and pack. Which is super helpful when you have to drive during rush hour. Now let's talk about the food. You have to get the beef shawarma wrap. I've had wraps here and there but, never have I had a wrap as good as the one I've had here. As soon as the took my first bite, my head started nodding up and down. As in yes, yes, yes....this is amazing. My other favorite food option is the Lahme. I never had anything like it. It flavorful and just keeps opening up the more you eat it. There is no lack of seasoning in any of food and everything a depth of flavor I've never experienced before. You can feed 1-2 people with either the beef shawarma or chicken shawarma plate. They are not shy with either protein. If I can give you some advice, it would be to eat there. Because if you get it to go, you will be starving and hangry all the way home because everything smells just as good as it taste. All the way to work I can hear my stomach rumbling because of how good everything smells.

Mediterranean food is pretty consistent (ie the same) for my tastes wherever I get it so I was pleasantly surprised by a few elements of Pi. The pies, for example...I tried the Zaatar pie...honestly it was not much more then a thick, airy, freshly made pita with Zataar and olive oil on it...but it's sometimes the simplest things which delight. The Zaatar pie delighted. I tried the Lebanese red wine (I mean, when in a Lebanese restaurant, why not?) And it stood up to any red I'd had anywhere else. The Tabouleh (one of my Mediterranean standards) was fresh made, filling, and a nice companion to the heavier Zaatar pie. It was awfully nice, and unexpected, to get complimentary baklava at the end of the meal...2 generous sized pieces which were pretty indulgent and eliminated the need to get (and pay for) dessert there or anywhere else. Service was lovely...the manager or owner took care of us and made us feel he was truly grateful that we were there. It's also a hookah spot...so if you're not into that vibe or smoke of any kind, (I'm not really) you'll definitely smell that anywhere you are in the restaurant, even if you're not seated next to those using hookahs. If you've got a hankering for Mediterranean...especially a place that has some unique things not at other Mediterranean spots, definitely give Pi on Sunset a shot.

Unfortunately, it was a complete letdown. The sandwich was extremely unappetizing. The bread was soggy and falling apart, and the filling looked and tasted like it had been sitting out way too long. The fries were even worse, they tasted stale, like they were at least a day or two old, and had that chewy, reheated texture instead of being crispy. Definitely not something anyone would want to eat.

It's moist with a crispy outer edge and the right amount of salt to taste but not be salty. Most of the items on the menu have pretty large portion sizes, and there is a vast selection of items. Nothing shouts out at us to give the food an upstanding 5/5, but this is still a solid pick for an American diner. Note that if you order anything with strawberries (including the fruit cup), you will get exactly 1 strawberry cut into 4 pieces to ration during your meal. Service: 2.5/5 There is one person manning the floor the majority of the time, and he does a good job managing multiple tables. We came in at 9 am on a workday and there were already 25 people in the restaurant, all managed by this one waiter. There is another person who pops in every now and then to deliver food and refill coffee. That said, don't expect to be checked in on often or to quickly get your order in. Also, special requests may or may not be satisfied-- I requested that the whipped cream in my waffle order came on the side, only for it to come right in the middle of my waffle. Atmosphere: 4/5 It's a lively place! This is a popular and long lasting restaurant for a reason. The music is not loud, and there is a comfortable amount of space between each table.
