Such a solid Mediterranean restaurant! In heart of Porter ranch.. when my little sis said I want Mediterranean I said this is the place. From the moment we arrived, everything felt easy plenty of parking, fair prices, and seriously yummy food. I had the chicken shawarma sandwich and she enjoyed chicken Mediterranean plate. I didn't get many pictures, but trust me, the dessert alone was worth it The owner and waiters were all nice and made us feel welcomed. Great food, great value, and great people. Highly recommend! And we will be back!

Taking off a star due to the new people (guy and a girl) working the counter here. You can tell neither of them care. Very nonchalant and dismissive and definitely showed me that they are not going out of their way to accommodate. The owners who usually work there are so kind and attentive. These two new workers were both completely not accommodating. I will not come back here if I have this experience again bc I usually spend about $50 on my meal just for me so I expect mindful customer service. My salad was soggy since they put it in the bag with hot food and fries undercooked . This is the 2nd time I've had to throw a soggy salad away from here.

OMGeeee! Mediterranean Bistro is a true neighborhood gem that feels like coming home the moment you walk in. The hot and cold appetizers are delicious, fresh, and wonderfully authentic, while the dishes throughout the menu are an exquisite combination of Lebanese and Armenian styles, blending bold flavors with comforting tradition. The entrées are equally impressive, expertly prepared and deeply satisfying. To finish, the old-school coffee and dessert add the perfect nostalgic touch. Combined with fantastic customer service that makes every guest feel welcome, this is the kind of place you look forward to returning to again and again. Can't wait to go back. Yalla ... 'till next time.

I'm it experience was amazing from start to finish. We walked in and were greeted immediately. The owner and servers were so gracious and attentive. We ordered and were not disappointed with the timing and food presentation. The food was delicious!! There wasn't a single piece left. Great portions. This was definitely a wonderful first time experience and we will be coming back

What can I say, OMG Yummy . Chicken Kabob , cabbage salad , ice tea and ambiance perfect. So delicious. We came after a Tony Robbin's virtual event. A Must Try! Saturday they have such pleasant music. Come enjoy a good family time. I'll return when in the Area. Open a location in OC.

Kinda bummed they didn't bring me sooner! It is by no means a fancy restaurant but the food is incredible. Persian restaurants are known for their generous portions but man, this place really gives you a lot. Everything was extremely flavorful, tender, and moist. Highly recommend if you're looking for some bomb Persian food!

Nothing fancy and down to earth as is the food which takes its cues from the standard Persian repertoire, but done through a humble homemade filter. The portions are extremely large here to show hospitality. You will never leave hungry here. There is more than enough to take home for another lunch to save from cooking another meal. 0) On the House: Large Plate of salad of crisp, chilled iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber with a nondescript creamy, tart dressing. Pita bread basket. 1) Tahdig: Almost all rice based cultures covet the crispy, crunchy rice found at the bottom of the flamed cooking pot. Basically, to recreate this crunchy rice on a large scale, Tahdig is now fried Basmati rice. You can opt to order thickened stews to put on top of the Tadig. I ordered two that came in good sized bowls for 50 cents each...Such a deal!!! 1a) Fesenjan: A mostly sweet and bit sour thickened stew of mostly pomegranate syrup, ground walnuts, often chicken. Pomegranate symbolizes fertility, rebirth and life in Persian culture, 1b) Ghormeh Sabzi: Less viscous stew made from Sabzi which is any kind of green vegetables but, in this case, spinach, kidney beans, dried limes, and bit of beef. 2) Joojeh Kabab: Cut up pieces of bone in Cornish Game Hen seemingly marinated in yogurt so even the usually dry breast meat is moist, firm yet soft. Bravo! I just wish that some garlic, thyme, oregano, Za'atar, etc. would also have been mixed into the marinade for more complex flavours. Dry, nutty Basmati rice is the default, but I wanted to try their Shirin Polo which is a sweet, orange flavoured Basmati with candied orange zest, and generous amount of Pistachio nuts. I thought it would have been analogous to Canard à l'Orange or French Orange Duck. In their attempt to show home style generosity, the sweet, orange flavour was amped up to the point it became almost a dessert. A more subtle Shirin Polo would have made it a more sophisticated dish. Iranian Black Iced Tea: A richer, slightly stronger tasting tea than the standard wussy Lipton style orange pekoe tea. What lacked in awareness of the higher Persian cuisine, 3+ stars, was made up for by the inexpensive prices and the sheer volume of acceptable food presented. Service is fast, efficient if not particularly warm and personable. 4- stars PS Come for lunch when many of the items are discounted.

Mediterranean food is pretty consistent (ie the same) for my tastes wherever I get it so I was pleasantly surprised by a few elements of Pi. The pies, for example...I tried the Zaatar pie...honestly it was not much more then a thick, airy, freshly made pita with Zataar and olive oil on it...but it's sometimes the simplest things which delight. The Zaatar pie delighted. I tried the Lebanese red wine (I mean, when in a Lebanese restaurant, why not?) And it stood up to any red I'd had anywhere else. The Tabouleh (one of my Mediterranean standards) was fresh made, filling, and a nice companion to the heavier Zaatar pie. It was awfully nice, and unexpected, to get complimentary baklava at the end of the meal...2 generous sized pieces which were pretty indulgent and eliminated the need to get (and pay for) dessert there or anywhere else. Service was lovely...the manager or owner took care of us and made us feel he was truly grateful that we were there. It's also a hookah spot...so if you're not into that vibe or smoke of any kind, (I'm not really) you'll definitely smell that anywhere you are in the restaurant, even if you're not seated next to those using hookahs. If you've got a hankering for Mediterranean...especially a place that has some unique things not at other Mediterranean spots, definitely give Pi on Sunset a shot.

So I ordered 3 Gyro meals. Lamb, chicken, and beef with the combo meal fries and drink. For the 3 sandwiches with each of them having a side of small fries and small drink I paid $71.29 for the entire order which is crazy in itself but the real crime was the food here, I am surprised how this place is been running business this whole time. First thing you do when you sit in a car? Take a few bites of the fries, and let me tell you that shit got stuck in my throat from how dry and nasty it was absolutely no SALT on any of the sandwiches and or fries... We all know salt makes everything more delicious and we had none of it. Me and 2 of my guests all had complaints on how unsalted and bland the food was. Also with a gyro usually you need a garlic sauce aka white sauce for my New Yorkers, they tried to charge me $5.90 for a SMALL plastic side of garlic sauce for my $20 sandwich. Save your money head over to Pita Pocket or any other gyro spots cuz this ain't it. It's really not hard to get a gyro down. You choose a base, I got half lettuce and half rice. I chose falafel as my protein, you get 3 balls. And you get two sides and a sauce. I got mushrooms and roasted eggplant and hummus as my sauce. The falafel wasn't bad actually, they weren't dry which is so common with falafel. They're pretty large too which is nice. The rest of the meal was sort of ehh, plain iceberg lettuce, plain rice. The mushrooms were cold, I wish they served them hot and found that surprising. And the eggplant was ok. The portion was filling and it was an ok meal overall.
