    Bad orange lighting.
    Samuel M.

I have come to the Northridge location a few times now. There are two issues which must be addressed. The outdoor string lighting installed in the patio is absolutely horrible. The orange color is so bad. It's like I'm sitting in a 1990s parking lot under high pressure sodium lighting. I would strongly recommend that PKG spend the few hundred dollars to replace the lighting. It makes my wife feel nauseated. Also, anytime we eat inside it's so smokey. Please improve the kitchen ventilation so it doesn't feel like we are sitting in a bbq. Your food is good. Your price is good. That atmosphere at this restaurant is really bad. We have gone to woodland hills and the difference is day and night.

We thought we'd try this location since it's closer, we usually go to the Woodland Hills Panini. Really disappointed with the lack of attention at Panini Northridge. - we paid for multiple extra lemon sauce and didn't get it - our food didn't come with Tzatziki - we got to-go and the lady couldn't even find our order We get that it's a Saturday and can be very busy, but the Northridge panini really dropped the ball.

Always been a fan of panini kabob grill. This spot is pretty big with both inside and outside seating. I thought the staff was very friendly and kept checking in on me. I came on a weekday during lunch hours and they had a consistent flow of people. They have a good variety of menu items and I think there's something anyone could find enjoyable. My favorites have always been the chicken kabobs, falafels, and the linguine Alfredo. We usually always go with the crowd favorite for salads like the Mediterranean salad or Caesar salad. Since I was going solo today , I finally tried the Strawberry Date Salad. I got it as a side for my chicken wrap and it was SO GOOD! - the candied walnuts, vinaigrette, blue cheese, strawberries, and dates. You have to be a lover of all these things to appreciate the deliciousness of this salad. Next time I'm getting the full size one!

Today was my first time trying this location, I've usually gone to Woodland Hills, but it's nice to have a location closer to home now. I ordered a cashew latte and the chicken pesto panini with Caesar salad! My server Jackeline was what made this exceptional. Even though she had a couple large parties inside, she was still very thorough and checking on all her tables outside. She was very sweet and makes me want to come back. Everything was overall great (food + bev, atmosphere, Jackeline) . Thank you .

Currently on the fence about Panini Kabob Grill. My first visit was fine, not terrible but not great. The service was okay however nothing to write home about. The Falafel Combo Appetizer was incredible & satisfying, I'd go back to eat just that again if I'm honest! The rest of my food (Salmon Caesar Wrap) was just fine but if I decide to visit again I'd likely try something else because the salmon was dry for my taste. What I will say is that the ambiance inside as well as prices compared to portion sizes are undeniably great. You get a lot of food for the cost. I loved the mood lighting and it's in an ideal location attached to the Northridge Fashion Center. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with my visit but I'll consider coming back to order something different!

For unknown reason, we hadn't been here for quite a while. We went tonight and enjoyed a the felafel appetizer which was great! We also had a great meal. We ordered the chicken shish kebab. It included salad and rice. Everything was delicious and the service was great!

I had really been looking forward to trying Panini Kabob Grill since it first opened at the Northridge Mall, but my first dining experience here was mediocre though some menu items did stand out. My party was pleasantly greeted at the front of the restaurant and seated in the patio area directly inside the mall. I thought it had great ambience with the hanging lights and since it wasn't too busy, we had the whole area to ourselves. After putting in our initial order, service declined a bit and we didn't see much of our servers until we got the check. For the table, we had the falafel combo appetizer plate, which was the best bite of the afternoon. The falafel was the perfect texture and had a great flavor to it. The tzatziki and hummus that came with it were also delicious and I would come back for the falafel and tzatziki alone. For my entree, I ordered the Chicken Caesar wrap with a Strawberry Date Salad on the side. It was an extremely generous portion, but I thought the wrap was a little lackluster. In writing this review and looking back on the pictures I took, I realize that I was served the regular Chicken wrap, which explains why I didn't taste any caesar dressing. Still, I don't think the wrap itself is any better than something you could get at a grocery store. I did really enjoy the strawberry date salad and wished I had ordered the entree size instead. I also sampled the Salmon Wrap which was good, but again, nothing special. I would like to give PKG another try and sample some of the classic kabob plates. I do hope to be able to update my review, but after this visit, I'm not sure I would come back if I didn't enjoy the falafel so much or if I didn't want to try other menu items.

Location 4: Newly opened inside the Northridge Fashion Center on the East side by the parking structure, where the old Red Robin used to be before they moved to the north side of the mall. Plenty of free Mall parking. Venue 4: Newly opened. You can enter the restaurant from inside the mall or directly from the parking lot. It features patio (still inside the mall but outside the dining area) seating, indoor tables and booths, and a dining bar area. Service 5: Our server Maria was wonderful. Polite, friendly, personable, chatty (in a good way) and attentive. Drinks 4: Modest selection of Beer, wine, soft drinks and coffee drinks (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.). All reasonably priced. Food 3: Mediterranean fare with a modern western touch. Primarily grilled meats and vegetables served with rice and salad or as wraps and paninis. Couple of soups and three desserts. Food is delicious and prices are reasonable. I have been to their other locations, and I know their food well. They use quality ingredients, food is tasty and the preparation is consistent. This particular location however has just opened up less than 2 months ago and it seems that the kitchen is still trying to find its groove. From my two skewers of Koobideh (seasoned ground beef) kabob that were served on the same plate, one skewer was cooked just right but the other one was almost burned and very dry. The lamb kabob was ordered medium (and confirmed by the server as such) but arrived dry and very well-done. The bell pepper served with the lamb kabob was grilled with the store sticker still attached :D The Last Word 3.5: Not quite a 4 yet... PKG Northridge must improve the consistency of their food to become a solid 4... I am hoping that this location will rise to the occasion and make us all proud! It is still one of my favorite chain restaurants to visit.

I finally had a chance to come to this Panini location. I been to the Burbank location already so I was already familiar with the place. I already knew that for any kabob place, if you order in person then it will take a while to cook because they don't make it until you place the order. So I put in my order online and got the beef koobideh kabob single dish. I got it with Caesar salad and basmati rice. I arrived early to the restaurant and they were in the process of making my order. The place is very nice and spacious. I talked to the worker at the counter while waiting for my food and they told me they just open like 2 weeks ago. My order was ready at the time I pick on their website and I took it to the mall food court to eat it. The portion isn't really that much in my opinion. The kabob was cooked to medium rare but the color of my kabob didn't look like they grilled it. It looked to me like it was microwave or just heated because there were no grill mark on it. My dish was okay but I thought it lack a lot of flavor. Th customer service was good though. Maybe I'll have a better experience if I come again and try eating in person.

We are longtime fans of Panini Kabob Grill and used to frequent the Woodland Hills location, but it's always busy and there's usually a wait. So we were thrilled when this new Northridge Mall location opened up, and wow, it's huge! There's a spacious patio area that technically sits inside the mall, but still gives that open, airy feel with warm orange ambient lighting. Inside dining is our favorite though. It is bright, comfortable, and even has bar seating facing the kitchen and service area (which is a fun touch!). The service has been wonderful every time!! There's friendly staff, quick turnaround, and always a smile. As for the food, it's consistently fresh and delicious! We love the Hummus Trio, Caesar Salad, and Koobideh Skewers. When we have a larger group, the Family Meal is our go-to! It's generous, filling, and reasonably priced. Overall, we're so happy to have this new location close by. Great food, great service, and a beautiful space! We'll definitely be coming back often!

The food is just as delicious as the other locations, but the service is a bit lackluster. The check-in system was disorganized and some people were getting frustrated. The hostess was very nice, but they were severely understaffed. Substitutions are not free, they charged to accommodate a dairy allergy. Every other location lets me substitute hummus for the tzatziki, but this location wanted to charge two dollars. I just asked for the tzatziki to be plated in a separate bowl, but they put it in the middle of my plate so I had to eat around it carefully. Otherwise, this location is very clean, especially the restrooms and lots of free parking in the mall parking lot.

Today, my experience here was perfect. I was craving a delicious chicken kabob, so I stopped by here. This chain was one of my go-to's during the To-Go-Only Covid days. I went with my favorite plate, which is marinated chicken kabob with half basmati rice and half cesar salad. The Cesar dressing here is very tasty, so I make sure to get enough of it. The chicken kabobs skewer was huge and included grilled tomatoes, grilled onions and grilled peppers, all cooked to perfection with a nice char on them. The chicken itself was outstanding-- tender, juicy, perfectly marinated. And the skewer they serve is so big that I actually left a piece of chicken behind. The basmati rice that accompanied the chicken was fresh, hot and slightly buttery, just as I like it. The customer service today was excellent. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and brought us the food as soon as it got prepared. The vibe here is very pleasant. Although it's a newer location, the decor is of an older established diner with a large selection of tables, both inside and on the patio that's facing the inside of the Northridge mall. The background music was Italian soft rock, which perfectly matched the restaurant's vibe and my mood for the day. Will return to this spot for sure!

So sad to post this here because we love panini grill west hills. We got sat after the waiter and waitress were done with their conversation, then we just ordered water and then a hot water with lemon to drink after having to ask someone to finally take our order, repeated the lemon twice. The waiter young man said oh no problem and never came back. Had to get the attention of one of the three managers standing talking to each other to get the lemon. By this time we had been here for 30 min. We ordered a med salad and steak panini. 20 min for food to come out. Had to ask again just for hot water refill this time we timed it and it took 6 min for more hot water. Service here is terrible but like I said the food is great will just have to go to West Hills location like normal.

My favorites are their kabobs and different modifications (think sour berries) of generous amounts of basmati rice that accompany their entrees. The Mast O' Mooseer (yoghurt with shallots) is another of my must haves. Generally, I always get the koobideh kabob to go, but this time, I was in the mood to sit down and have some chunks of meat. I chose the Shish Kabob, which is advertised as grilled filet mignon pieces. The restaurant prepares it medium well and past experience revealed it to be dry and tough. So I asked for it medium rare, for the first time. The dish that came to my table had marvelous optics. The beef was well charred, had an intoxicating aroma and well distributed coloring amongst the seven generous pieces. But there were a few problems. For one, I could not comfortably cut into the beef without using excess force, and shredding it. I asked for a sharper (steak) knife and was told that was all they had. While the meat was juicy, it was extremely chewy. I even questioned whether it was filet mignon, because it did not look and behave like it. I was told it was. If that was the case, could it have been a bad cut? This substantiates why I am leery about ordering meat pieces. Amongst the other items, the thick creamy yoghurt did not disappoint. Same with the grilled onion and tomato. The saffron rice is always fluffy and abundant. The green salad was crisp and refreshing. Take home message? Looks like I will have to skip the Shish Kabob and stick only with the koobideh, if I am ever in the mood for skewered grilled beef.

Mediterranean food is pretty consistent (ie the same) for my tastes wherever I get it so I was pleasantly surprised by a few elements of Pi. The pies, for example...I tried the Zaatar pie...honestly it was not much more then a thick, airy, freshly made pita with Zataar and olive oil on it...but it's sometimes the simplest things which delight. The Zaatar pie delighted. I tried the Lebanese red wine (I mean, when in a Lebanese restaurant, why not?) And it stood up to any red I'd had anywhere else. The Tabouleh (one of my Mediterranean standards) was fresh made, filling, and a nice companion to the heavier Zaatar pie. It was awfully nice, and unexpected, to get complimentary baklava at the end of the meal...2 generous sized pieces which were pretty indulgent and eliminated the need to get (and pay for) dessert there or anywhere else. Service was lovely...the manager or owner took care of us and made us feel he was truly grateful that we were there. It's also a hookah spot...so if you're not into that vibe or smoke of any kind, (I'm not really) you'll definitely smell that anywhere you are in the restaurant, even if you're not seated next to those using hookahs. If you've got a hankering for Mediterranean...especially a place that has some unique things not at other Mediterranean spots, definitely give Pi on Sunset a shot.

I'm honestly so disappointed in the lunch that was ordered for us today. A group of us didn't bring…read morefood because we were told lunch would be provided. Unfortunately, it was a complete letdown. The sandwich was extremely unappetizing. The bread was soggy and falling apart, and the filling looked and tasted like it had been sitting out way too long. It didn't feel fresh at all, and several of us couldn't even finish it. The fries were even worse, they tasted stale, like they were at least a day or two old, and had that chewy, reheated texture instead of being crispy. Definitely not something anyone would want to eat.
