Chicken Shawarma Wrap and Lamb Gyro (Wrap)

Delicious flavorful food. Great and friendly service. Definitely recommend the chicken and lamb wraps. Loaded with lots of protein. Restaurants ambience was amazing. Will be coming back.

I tried out their chicken shawarma. It was pretty good. The chicken was great. It's not the best I've had and it is not the worst. I would say it is better than most. I can't give it a higer rating because I had another chicken shawarma from a different place the very next day and that was a lot more memorable.

Run don't walk to Grillo on Reseda Blvd for some delicious juicy yummy affordable food. I ordered a chicken Shawarma , probably the juiciest tastiest one I've ever had and it's huge , I ordered 2 Kibbe - amazing and fresh! A spinach pie triangle and a meat pie - does not disappoint . Generous portions affordable food go check them out - I know I will be back again and and again . Lots of spacious seating inside park in the back - Oh and friendly quick customer service with a smile!

Grillo Shawarma and Kebab Restaurant has amazing food! The kebab was juicy and delicious, service was great, and everything was very clean. Generous portions and great prices. Highly recommend!

Just so happen to be sitting across the street drinking a Four Loko and I saw the sign lit up and decided to try some kebabs. Turns out it was a good decision. I got the beef kebab dinner plate with french fries and hummus. Serve with naan bread. I imagine the hummus was amazing. None was perfect. The french fries were crispy and delicious service was immediate cause nobody else was in there. It was about 10 minutes until closing and I kept them open past hours but I tip well so it was OK. I had a couple of sauces on the tray and the dark one was hot and delicious. I had a spice to the meat. I ended up eating all of the naan bread and dip my fries, the hummus. It was so good. I'll go back next time. I got a hankering for some kebabs.

    Chicken Lule Kabob Plate

Grilled chicken was good, the ground chicken kebab was a bit tough like it was made prior and reheated. The biggest detractor was the Toum garlic sauce was very flavorless and close to just a mayonnaise flavor wise. Also the eurobeat trance was a bit much at 100% volume lol.

    Offers

Under new management I think. Family run business that serves great food and portions. Freshly made to order and got some great offers. All meat is halal. Great find for authentic swarma and kabobs and much more

My husband and I were in the area around Reseda and Roscoe and had time to kill before my appointment. I found Grillo's on Google Maps and decided to try this place out. There was no one in the restaurant when we arrived. It was nicely decorated with Arabic music playing on one of the tv's. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap. My husband ordered the chicken shawarma loaded fries. The wait was bit longer than I expected. If you are pressed for time you may need to order ahead. Both the wrap and the loaded fries were huge. That's great when you haven't eaten all morning. That's the only way I even got through half of the wrap. My husband barely got through of the loaded fries. And I helped with some of the fries. Getting a lot of food for the money is terrific but I was more interested in how the food tasted. In my humble opinion the food was absolutely delicious. The char on the meat along with the seasonings was amazing. The sauce on the loaded fries made these the best loaded fries I've ever had. I can't wait to return. If you live or work in the area please try them out. You won't regret it. I don't live nearby and I definitely want this place to be there when I'm back in the vicinity.

Big Ajarski with fresh eggs and cheese, super yummy and fine quality Dough not hard on the teeth, affordable $4.99
    Natasha O.

Wow!! Excellent reasonably priced food and bakery , with fine quality. If you haven't been to this restaurant, definitely, I recommend it. Really cheap. There's no need to go to Anaheim anymore and drive all the way to get a similar quality, this is even a finer quality. I was fascinated by our order, so I ordered more Ajraski and mna'eesh zataar to go. Can't beat up the price. Great breakfast, snacks, air lunch for the kids. Our order Came with a generous cheese bakery, really fine quality. The samoosik/samosa was genoursly filled with fine quality clean halal meat, so you don't have to worry about the viruses that coming up often and all of that hormone treatment. The Cauliflower plate with Middle Eastern salad was done at its best! Over all it is the best of the best quality at an affordable prices

Kinda bummed they didn't bring me sooner! It is by no means a fancy restaurant but the food is incredible. Persian restaurants are known for their generous portions but man, this place really gives you a lot. Everything was extremely flavorful, tender, and moist. Highly recommend if you're looking for some bomb Persian food!

Shamshiri, meaning sword or a type of Persian black tea, is in a typical, unassuming Socal…read morestripmall. Nothing fancy and down to earth as is the food which takes its cues from the standard Persian repertoire, but done through a humble homemade filter. The portions are extremely large here to show hospitality. You will never leave hungry here. There is more than enough to take home for another lunch to save from cooking another meal. 0) On the House: Large Plate of salad of crisp, chilled iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber with a nondescript creamy, tart dressing. Pita bread basket. 1) Tahdig: Almost all rice based cultures covet the crispy, crunchy rice found at the bottom of the flamed cooking pot. Basically, to recreate this crunchy rice on a large scale, Tahdig is now fried Basmati rice. You can opt to order thickened stews to put on top of the Tadig. I ordered two that came in good sized bowls for 50 cents each...Such a deal!!! 1a) Fesenjan: A mostly sweet and bit sour thickened stew of mostly pomegranate syrup, ground walnuts, often chicken. Pomegranate symbolizes fertility, rebirth and life in Persian culture, 1b) Ghormeh Sabzi: Less viscous stew made from Sabzi which is any kind of green vegetables but, in this case, spinach, kidney beans, dried limes, and bit of beef. 2) Joojeh Kabab: Cut up pieces of bone in Cornish Game Hen seemingly marinated in yogurt so even the usually dry breast meat is moist, firm yet soft. Bravo! I just wish that some garlic, thyme, oregano, Za'atar, etc. would also have been mixed into the marinade for more complex flavours. Dry, nutty Basmati rice is the default, but I wanted to try their Shirin Polo which is a sweet, orange flavoured Basmati with candied orange zest, and generous amount of Pistachio nuts. I thought it would have been analogous to Canard à l'Orange or French Orange Duck. In their attempt to show home style generosity, the sweet, orange flavour was amped up to the point it became almost a dessert. A more subtle Shirin Polo would have made it a more sophisticated dish. Iranian Black Iced Tea: A richer, slightly stronger tasting tea than the standard wussy Lipton style orange pekoe tea. What lacked in awareness of the higher Persian cuisine, 3+ stars, was made up for by the inexpensive prices and the sheer volume of acceptable food presented. Service is fast, efficient if not particularly warm and personable. 4- stars PS Come for lunch when many of the items are discounted.

I spent 70 dollars on two plates of food. Did I think it was more expensive that the location and establishment warranted? Sure-but that's not the problem here. I brought my food home. The Koobideh was unevenly cooked. Some places barely cooked some places burned. My "filet mignon" had a chunky mushy substance on it. I can't even begin to tell you what it was other than it did not belong in my food. But this is still not the reason for my one star. The rice itself had a bad odor ( I'm middle eastern I've had plenty of rice both good and bad in my life but this was different). After a few bites I realized it was MOLD!
