Restaurant had a really good ambience of culture and home. Food was great. I was greeted with a smile when I walked in to the door.

Great little spot if you're craving some gyros, burgers, shawarmas, falafels and more. The food is made fresh to order daily. We ordered our halal plates with chicken, gyro, rice and salad, topped with their white sauce. So good and great portions also. Staff were very helpful and fast. The restaurant has a small area with a few tables and seats. Overall, a good place when your craving some Halal food. Happy Nom Nom!

You are greeted as you walk in. The cooking area, counter, everything, is on the right side of the restaurant. Out front, there is a soda fountain machine, some refrigerators for storage and drinks, and two tables for small parties of four. The front of the right side is an area for bowls. Then as you look up, you can view the menu. On the left (or further in) is the counter for ordering your food. I ordered a hamburger with fries. And a custom mix plate. I ordered for everything with no dairy, no cheese, and no milk products. The fries were the first thing to get made and put into a small brown paper bag and closed up. It sat there for quite a while, probably like 7 minutes waiting for the rest of the food to be made. When I got to my car, I opened the fries to start eating, what a disappointment. They could have easily sat frying for an extra minute or two. They were not great at-all. Lots of them were no longer hot too! When I left, got home to eat, found out it was a cheeseburger! Oh no! The bowl, was just okay. Nothing to rave about. The Gyro meat didn't have a fresh authentically-made flavor to it, just tasted like something bought from a supply store and cooked. Texture says it too. Try as you will, but make sure you know what you're getting. They try, but it seems like the restaurant isn't operating correctly. Is it new owners? I don't know, but I know that it's not for me.

We love coming here for a quick and filling bite that's always consistent and for a great price. They are generous with the portions and the food is always freshly made. Friendly service as well, indoor seating with tvs to enjoy dine in. Staple spot in the valley

In the food business, customer service is everything. Mistakes happen--that's normal. But refusing to take accountability and constantly arguing with customers is not the way to build loyalty or trust. Hopefully, they learn that sometimes the best response isn't to argue, but to listen. Until then, I'll be taking my appetite somewhere else. Hot dog it's not $3.50. Don't make a excuses

This place is delicious!! You won't regret trying it.

This is one of my favorite places to eat at in Northridge. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Ok. It doesn't. Look like much. Heck, the restaurant doesn't look like much when you walk in. The taste is excellent. The employees are friendly and welcoming. The garlic sauce is money. You have to try it.

My favorites are their kabobs and different modifications (think sour berries) of generous amounts of basmati rice that accompany their entrees. The Mast O' Mooseer (yoghurt with shallots) is another of my must haves. Generally, I always get the koobideh kabob to go, but this time, I was in the mood to sit down and have some chunks of meat. I chose the Shish Kabob, which is advertised as grilled filet mignon pieces. The restaurant prepares it medium well and past experience revealed it to be dry and tough. So I asked for it medium rare, for the first time. The dish that came to my table had marvelous optics. The beef was well charred, had an intoxicating aroma and well distributed coloring amongst the seven generous pieces. But there were a few problems. For one, I could not comfortably cut into the beef without using excess force, and shredding it. I asked for a sharper (steak) knife and was told that was all they had. While the meat was juicy, it was extremely chewy. I even questioned whether it was filet mignon, because it did not look and behave like it. I was told it was. If that was the case, could it have been a bad cut? This substantiates why I am leery about ordering meat pieces. Amongst the other items, the thick creamy yoghurt did not disappoint. Same with the grilled onion and tomato. The saffron rice is always fluffy and abundant. The green salad was crisp and refreshing. Take home message? Looks like I will have to skip the Shish Kabob and stick only with the koobideh, if I am ever in the mood for skewered grilled beef.

Came here with my family and some extended family to celebrate a special occasion. The Northridge outpost is located in the Fashion Mall, on the ground floor, below the food court. It has a nice layout, spacious, with well polished wood tables. Seating is inside as well as a covered area outside, though still in the mall, adjacent to the place, a patio feel, if you will. Interestingly, when I was there, they were playing Latin music. A multicultural experience :). So what do you order when you come here? I came here for a carry out and it had to be their beef koobideh. It came with a choice of salad (Greek in my case), basmati rice, two skewers of kabob, grilled onions, tomato, jalapeno and a small container of tzatziki. For a starter, I selected a bowl of the green lentil soup that came accompanied with two small pieces of grilled artisan bread. This soup was fantastic in both flavor, freshness and taste. Most Mediterranean soups have too much lemon, imparting acidity to the dish. Here, if it was there, it was very slight, hardly noticeable. I consider this pivotal, because now you get to actually taste the depth of the lentils. As for the kabobs, it was a generous portion. They were moist, tasty, optimally spiced and with satisfying texture. The Tzatziki was superb. This eatery touts themselves as a scratch kitchen, for the food that is served daily to their customers. Indeed, I have to say that their food does taste different. I know that this restaurant will climb upwards on my list, for many more repeat visits.

Mediterranean food is pretty consistent (ie the same) for my tastes wherever I get it so I was pleasantly surprised by a few elements of Pi. The pies, for example...I tried the Zaatar pie...honestly it was not much more then a thick, airy, freshly made pita with Zataar and olive oil on it...but it's sometimes the simplest things which delight. The Zaatar pie delighted. I tried the Lebanese red wine (I mean, when in a Lebanese restaurant, why not?) And it stood up to any red I'd had anywhere else. The Tabouleh (one of my Mediterranean standards) was fresh made, filling, and a nice companion to the heavier Zaatar pie. It was awfully nice, and unexpected, to get complimentary baklava at the end of the meal...2 generous sized pieces which were pretty indulgent and eliminated the need to get (and pay for) dessert there or anywhere else. Service was lovely...the manager or owner took care of us and made us feel he was truly grateful that we were there. It's also a hookah spot...so if you're not into that vibe or smoke of any kind, (I'm not really) you'll definitely smell that anywhere you are in the restaurant, even if you're not seated next to those using hookahs. If you've got a hankering for Mediterranean...especially a place that has some unique things not at other Mediterranean spots, definitely give Pi on Sunset a shot.

First thing you do when you sit in a car? Take a few bites of the fries, and let me tell you that shit got stuck in my throat from how dry and nasty it was absolutely no SALT on any of the sandwiches and or fries... We all know salt makes everything more delicious and we had none of it. Me and 2 of my guests all had complaints on how unsalted and bland the food was. Also with a gyro usually you need a garlic sauce aka white sauce for my New Yorkers, they tried to charge me $5.90 for a SMALL plastic side of garlic sauce for my $20 sandwich. Save your money head over to Pita Pocket or any other gyro spots cuz this ain't it. It's really not hard to get a gyro down. Trader Joes also has a box of gyro meat you can buy make at home and I did once and it was WAYYYY better then this place lol.
