Halal House is not too bad, I gotta say. Quick, not terribly expensive at $11 plus tax, and decent flavor with their signature plate dish. I got the Build Your Own Plate with chicken and the usual fixings including both the red and white sauce. As far as these sauces, I think them and the chicken can have a little flavor and kick. They're not watered down, but I do wish for a lot more tantalizing taste. All in all, good enough for a quick meal. I will have to try the gyro next time. read more

I ordered the combo bowl and as he was making my bowl this piece of lettuce was sticking out the entire time and dragging across the prep station and rather than pulling the piece out he closed the lid on the entire bowl other than the singular piece of lettuce. You are greeted as you walk in. The cooking area, counter, everything, is on the right side of the restaurant. Out front, there is a soda fountain machine, some refrigerators for storage and drinks, and two tables for small parties of four. The front of the right side is an area for bowls. Then as you look up, you can view the menu. On the left (or further in) is the counter for ordering your food. I ordered a hamburger with fries. And a custom mix plate. I ordered for everything with no dairy, no cheese, and no milk products. The fries were the first thing to get made and put into a small brown paper bag and closed up. It sat there for quite a while, probably like 7 minutes waiting for the rest of the food to be made. When I got to my car, I opened the fries to start eating, what a disappointment. They could have easily sat frying for an extra minute or two. They were not great at-all. Lots of them were no longer hot too! When I left, got home to eat, found out it was a cheeseburger! Oh no! The bowl, was just okay. Nothing to rave about. The Gyro meat didn't have a fresh authentically-made flavor to it, just tasted like something bought from a supply store and cooked. Texture says it too. Try as you will, but make sure you know what you're getting. They try, but it seems like the restaurant isn't operating correctly. Is it new owners? I ordered food for delivery here for the first time because I read all of the positive reviews. Let me just say that I was not impressed. The pricing is fair, but it is pretty clear to me that the ingredients used are pretty average and the "taste" of the food was extremely bland with the exception of the fries which had too much salt. The large build your own salad I got chicken. There was absolutely no taste to this dish. I also ordered the Gyro Pita and again there was absolutely no taste. I ordered the chicken and gyro meat rice bowl, Amazing! Chicken was shedded with bite sized pieces and gyro meat was not dry! The rice was loose fragrant and the spice they use in it is perfect. The place isn't big, but can accommodate you for a dine-in experience. They've got fountain drinks, cold canned beverages and tea. I had been wanting to try out this spot for a cool minute and it didn't disappoint in the least. The falafel is homemade and comes with tahini. They're shaped like little donut holes. SO cute. They're served up hot and ready over a bed of lettuce and red cabbage, yum. Ohmahgah the gyro plate is plentiful and is layered with flavors on flavors, it's delicious! The food here is made with love. I anticipate coming back to try more items I didn't get around to this time around. I loved that there was what seemed to be a concert going on tv in the native tongue of the gentleman working there. The authenticity is real. I've always felt more comfortable seeing people that belong to their diverse group dining within the establishment, and the patrons were plentiful (that's how you know it's good.).
