First time ordering from here and it wont be the last ! Food was delivered in a timely manner, tasted great, and made to my specifications- Bravo !

Came here about 20 minutes before they were about to close, and they were gracious enough to let us order! Service was great and food was great too! We got the Beef Soltani and Hook's Loaded Fries. Beef Soltani - I loved the Koobideh, it was super juicy and tender. Pretty standard flavor! The Soltani was a little less tender but still good. My go to spot for this dish is Raffi's Place, but this is a great spot to get beef Soltani as well. Flavors are spot on and portions are big. The Greek salad that came on the side was also fresh and complimented the meat. Hook's Loaded Fries - I didn't like this as much. Since I ate it after my meal, the fries got a big soggy. The gyro was okay and the sauce and cheese was okay as well. Probably wouldn't get this again since it lacked acidity. I added ketchup and it tasted better LOL! Overall, great place to get solid kabobs, I would definitely come here again if I was in the area!

Hook Kabob has wonderful Greek food. If you want it, they likely have it. The place is so cute and comfortable. You can dine there, get take away and they also deliver. We like to eat there. It is fun. The service is very friendly and they treat you like a family member. They make sure the food is right the first time and you get a goodly amount. They are famous for their kabobs, but there are other great things to have. Their salads, wraps and desserts are so good. They have great bread and their hummus is out of this world. It is so good and so fresh. You will love their salmon kabob and their and their pork ribs are just perfect. All their sides are great. You can have a little or a lot. After all, you can always take some home, it heats up so well. Enjoy.

This place is a WINNER!!!! Probably one of the best Gyros I've ever had! The pita was soft, the meat & lamb was juicy, I loved it! Very clean restaurant, and amazing service! The parking lot is a little tight but once you get a spot and come in here it'll be worth it! My buddy got the a Chicken Wrap and he said it was good, plus the fries came out nice and hot! The Kebab plates with rice looked really good but I'll probably try those next time! If you're ever in Van Nuys, this place is bomb!

My wife said she had a place for us to try for lunch. We pulled into a typical Valley strip mall. Not sure what I was getting into. We walked into a larger tgan expected and comfortabl dining room. Fortunately the A/C was on and working this August day. She ordered the gyros plate and I got the gyros wrap with a side of Dolmas. The food came quickly. I took one bite of my wrapped and immediately was wowed. It was very tasty. The gyros meat was tender and flavorful. I noticed the slices were thinner than normal and I think that is partially why the texture was so good. I remarked that the meat was less greasy than our usual Greek place. The dolmas were just as I like them. Very tasty. My wife cleaned up her gyros plate. All in all a good choice.

Had the chicken kabab as well as the filet beef kabab lunch special and it's a very good portion for the price. The fillet was very tender, chicken very, very tender and juicy. hummus and tzatziki were excellent. We had a side of the falafel which was good and especially considering the reasonable price. This is the best kabab I have found in the valley.

4/5. Went for a lunch. The service was impressive. He was quick and helpful to get our orders in. Chicken kabob and the beef kobedeh was seasoned well. It was tender/ flavorful and cooked well I love it the portion of the rice was good and it filled me up along with a small cucumber with tomato mix in a small container. Inside was clean and it was comfortable. The bread was a little dry and stiff. It would have been perfect if there was humus to go along with it soften the dryness. Parking was a little tough as it is shared by other vendors. Even street parking was by luck. I guess it depends what time you go. Over all it was good. I hope they keep this place clean and good cooking.

Stopped by on a Saturday early lunch with the parents and everyone enjoyed their entree! With picky elderly, sometimes that can be a challenge. Location: shopping strip sandwiched between other businesses. Parking: free! Just have to be patient if the lot is full. Vibe: peaceful and friendly with a TV playing in the background. Food: we ordered a variety of items, mainly vegetarian this time and it was all fresh to order. Mom got the impossible kabob with a side of hummus and baba ganoush. Dad got the vegetarian combo, FIL got kabob wrap and my husband and I shared the vegetarian combo. The falafel were delicious and everyone cleaned their plates! No leftovers and nothing thrown away. We've been back three times and the quality of the food is unmatched! We'll be back soon.

Hooked on Hook Kabob! This extensive Mediterranean eatery in Lake Balboa/Van Nuys area of Balboa Blvd / Saticoy Avenue, near the Van Nuys Airport is an incredible gem with the service, quality and care to match that hidden shine. I've been hearing nothing but great things since they opened up their doors a full year ago today. Being in a shared plaza lot with other cool places, it's amazing that H.K. is number one for sure! You can order takeout, delivery (via third-party apps) or inside and they serve you up your delish on a dish food flare fair. From cool kabobs to salads, sides, wraps, gyros, plates, desserts, bowls, family meals and lunch specials... They've got a lot! Plant-based options for sure with loads of vegetarian, vegan and even some gluten-free by default options. Impossible Kabobs are juicy, flavorful and tender. I wasn't expecting them to be so well made the first time I had them and now I just can't get enough. Incredible Falafel, Tabbouleh, Dolmas, Tahini, Basmati Rice (with Saffron of course) and smoky Baba Ghanoush. They also do some fun things with their golden crispy fries, including loaded style, gyro, garlic and classic/plain. Free Wi-Fi. Great decor. Fair amount of seating. It's clean, modern and has an inviting layout. Fountain-style beverages with Coca-Cola-based varieties, not to mention teas and water. Some bottles and cans as well (Celsius, Kevita, Yachak Organic Yerba Mate and Bundaberg varieties to name a few). Hook accepts most forms of payment including a lot of tap and digital cash apps. Open 7 days a week from 11 AM to 9 PM, 8 PM on Sundays.

I am on a quest to find the best kabob in Los Angeles. I decided to try this restaurant after passing by this location several times in my way home. You order from the counter and fountain drinks are refillable. Hook Kabob is located in a small strip mall. The restaurant is nice and clean. Plus, the staff was friendly. The average plate was approximately $30. The food was flavorful and they give you healthy portions. Solid location.

This is my second time here in the last month. I came back to bring a friend as I really enjoyed it the first time. I like that things are made fresh here with good quality ingredients. I got the chicken plate and a side of fries. It came with plenty of food for two small meals (though I enjoyed it so much that I ate it all in one.) The chicken is tender and moist, the salad is fresh and filled with quality veggies. Their garlic sauce is delicious, and all of it tasted great with the hot sauce added. The fries were well seasoned and crisp but fluffy on the inside. I previously had their falafel which is crispy and freshly fried to order. Parking can be tight depending on the day. I will for sure be going back!

Came by for take out gyro fries $16. It was packed well and even eating at home 20 mins later the fries and gyro was still warm and good complement to the dressing. It's quite filling. Make sure to activate the Yelp check in offer; it was a very generous portion of chicken! There's a decent sized parking lot, for SFV strip mall standards.

Hook Kabob is located in a small plaza. There is a decent amount of parking. And it isn't as tight as other places. The inside is nice and really clean with plenty of seating. I like how there are a lot of space between tables. I got the Gyro plate. It comes with a mix of beef and lamb, tzatziki sauce, rice, roasted pepper and tomato and pita. It was so good! And came with free lollipops. It was a few dollars more than my usual place. But you really get what you paid for. Seriously, the meat was so good and the rice was moist and not dry. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu, which by the way was clear and had big pictures for all the plates. Good but also makes it hard to choose because they all look good! Oh and they have a nice variety of desserts. The owner Arnby (I think thats how its spelled?) was really nice. He explained how the've been around since pre pandemic. And I can see why. This place rocks and deserves the local support! I need to come back to try the Hook fries and Bowl Madness! Thank you for the delicious meal Hook Kabob!

We ordered the meat combo plate, which came with beef lula kabob as well as chicken kabob and beef kabob pieces. The plate also came with hummus and because I came with my daughter and she demanded fries, I replaced the included basmati rice for freshly made fries. In addition, we decided to order a side of baba ganoush, which was very flavorful and just so worth it. The meats were outstanding. Both, chicken and beef kabob pieces were nicely marinated, perfectly grilled and delicious. The beef lula kabob really stood out to me and it's one of the better ones I've had in LA -- very juicy, well marinated ground beef and they cooked it so the juices are trapped inside the lula and they only get released after you bite into it. What I got was a perfect bite every time and those delicious beef juices made my taste buds say Yaaaaay and nourished my soul. Overall, a very good meal at a good price and it had my wife and daughter satisfied. The spot is located on a medium-size plaza with many parking spots. The inside is clean and has about 8 tables for dining in. The service was good and friendly. A worthy local place for a quick, delicious Mediterranean food. Will come back again!

It is better than their beef koobideh and barg, though those are still good. I have had better beef koobideh at other restaurants like Raffis or Shekarchi. Their bread is so fresh and is an elevated experience compared to the usual lavash bread that restaurants give. My friends had the salmon and they really liked it. The maast o khiar is really good too. The service is excellent - all the food came out quickly and the servers were nice. I will say I am Persian (and look very obviously so) and for some reason one lady only looked at/spoke to my husband and not me. I would say it's 4.5 stars because I was put off by this. Just until recently we have been experiencing changes in flavor and food presentation, still no excuse to serve people that have been supporting their business with tasteless and cold food. Last week I had enough and called over the manager. He did mention due to the high cost, they had to cut back and raise prices. Giving us the typical excuses to weasel their way out. Order 1 was tri stews that came out cold with small portion of rice. The stews were tasteless and meatless. Menu states chunks of beef but yet nothing in our dish. Maybe they gave us the veggie option for $28. I scream middle eastern from a mile away do you think I would go there for a veggie dish? I don't think so. Discrepancies can elevate a dish but unfortunately I don't think the new management in the kitchen has any clue on culinary arts. If you lack that part in your business at least serve a warm dish with decent size rice which is cheap to buy or add some side greens that can fill a normal size man so I don't have to stop by In N Out after. Order 2 was chicken barg that was cold as our stews, tasteless and strange color to it which manager claimed it was a new marinate and also agreed it was small. Small portion and cold but yet they charged $28 for it. No mention if their cuts are organic or not is very troubling as the chicken felt it was frozen with a chewing texture and a strange aftertaste. The icing on cake was a $5 premium charge for a small bottle of sparkling water that's normally at most at local gas stations for a $1.90. The manager had the nerve to tell us they have been cutting back including the small slice of lemon that they used to offer with a glass of water. This place is a joke and ran by people that just care for money as they have been opening new locations with our support. They have forgotten when you claim superiority over other restaurants you better deliver as presentation is key which this restaurant lacks as well. Manager claimed they focus on healthy marinates and oils and provide healthy meals which as if he was selling me on a gym membership! Maybe he should save all that talk and had refunded my money. I paid, even gave a healthy tip as the server had nothing to do with it and I would have ordered desserts but everything on it was unhealthy and store bought contradictory to his long speech. Save your money and don't go here.
