Great spot for a casual lunch with friends! We started with the Red Ginger Green Beans for the table, which were a fun way to kick things off. Between us, we ordered the ABC Burger, The Stand Burger, Short Rib Grilled Cheese, and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. I asked for a couple of modifications to my Buffalo Chicken Sandwich--no slaw and add blue cheese crumbles--and the cashier was incredibly friendly and happy to accommodate. It did not disappoint! The fire sauce definitely lived up to its name and had my mouth on fire for a minute, but I cooled it off by adding a touch of ranch to each bite. The blue cheese crumbles were the perfect addition, as well. Everyone in our group was happy with their meal, and I really like the casual ordering setup. You order and pay right at the register, which makes it especially convenient when you're meeting a group of friends because there's no worrying about splitting the check at the end. Looks like The Stand has officially been added to the rotation for my "Ladies Who Lunch" group! We'll definitely be back. read more

Great place to grab lunch or dinner! Initially, I planned to get my food to go, but I ended up sitting outside and enjoying my dinner. It was a quiet, relaxing spot with a nice breeze. I had the jerk chicken bowl, which came with fried plantains. It was delicious! My daughter had the STAND burger with sweet potato fries, and she loved it too. My son had kids burger. There were so many other dishes on the menu that I wanted to try, so I'll definitely be coming back! read more

I had eaten previously at The Stand in Northridge and was not a fan. But one week ago my wife and I were going to a concert in Thousand Oaks and just wanted a quick burger beforehand so we went to The Stand in Thousand Oaks. The burger there was just as mediocre as the one in Northridge. And the service messed up so badly with our order that they gave us a $20 gift card which was a nice gesture. So today I decided to use the gift card for a hot dog at the Northridge restaurant. While the hot dog itself was fine, the bun was hard, seemed stale and actually fell apart as I ate the sandwich. A hot dog bun should be warm, soft and flavorful. Not this one! Again, just poor quality. But their complimentary pickles are delicious. read more

Was craving a burger so I decided to go to Stand because I hadn't been in a while. There was no line so they took my order pretty quickly. I ordered a Stand Burger with a side of regular fries. I sat and got my food delivered to my table relatively quickly. The food was great and the service was as well. It's a nice spot for families or a chill night out. read more

Extremely unacceptable and aggressive behavior from an employee at this location (19600 Plummer St). I came in to pick up an order and kindly asked a female employee for a cup of water, offering to pay for it. She politely gave me a cup. While I was taking a drink, a short, heavily built male employee with a beard aggressively approached me, physically snatched the cup right out of my hands, and started rudely shouting at me, telling me to never come back. I offered to pay on the spot, but he continued to be extremely hostile and disrespectful. Grabbing things out of a customer's hands and exhibiting such aggressive behavior is completely uncalled for. This employee's appalling behavior completely ruined my day. Management and the owner need to address this specific staff member immediately. Neither I nor anyone I know will be returning to this location. read more

Made my first visit to this company at this location as they were sponsoring a fundraiser for a local good cause. It was a busy dinner rush during a World Cup Match. The line was busy but wait was not long. Between a French Onion Soup Burger, cup of chili, regular fries, and Thai Iced Tea Shake, I was very satiated and impressed. My only knock would be some of my fries tasted funny but the rest were fine. Staff members took time to check on me while they made their rounds of the floor. The room and patio were filled mainly of families but most cleared out before the end of the game. I could see why this place has maintained their standards. Will be back in the future. read more

Still one of my favorite places to visit for some quality food. I'm a creature of habit and tend to stick to what I know and like, The Stand is the only place I truly need to think about what I want to eat. If you don't care about calories, you can't got wrong with the Short Rib Grilled cheese, the bbq brisket on pretzel roll or any of the burgers really. You can't go wrong with the chicken sandwiches, really depends on what flavors you want! If you want something a little lighter their salads or wraps really hit the spot. read more

The Stand has a lot of solid food choices for different dietary needs. This location has plenty of seating options both indoors and outdoors. I ordered meals for my kkds, and I love that they have plenty of options for kids entrees and sides. We got a grilled cheese which my daughter didn't like. She's a bit persnickety so that doesn't mean much. All I could tell is the bread was a little sweet. So maybe we'll try in the future with different bread. My son got a turkey burger which could've used a little more salt. He said it was just ok. But I like that you can add whatever veggies and condiments that you want. He also got the chips which were house made and good. I got the grilled chicken kids meal with Mac and cheese and I also got a side salad. The chicken had minimal seasoning but it wasn't bad. I put it on top of my salad. The salad was made with a spring mix with added cucumbers, tomato, and bell pepper. It was fresh and light and was good with the chicken. I got the house vinaigrette which was very tangy. Next time I'll try a different dressing. The Mac and cheese was bland with a liquidy sauce. My daughter didn't line it, my son said it was fine. I didn't mind it but didn't love it. Even though my review may not be glowing, it was still a really solid meal. I felt that everything was fresh and not heavy and the price for what we did was good. I think with a few minor tweaks we can get things to our linking on our next trip. read more

The Stand in Northridge has become a staple weekend spot for us! The food is always amazing, fresh, and consistently delicious, but what really keeps us coming back is the incredible staff. They have really delicious gourmet burgers. I will pass on the onion rings next time (not a fan of the batter). We typically take food to go but the staff is always kind and the dining room is always full of people that look to be enjoying themselves. I prefer dill pickles, but the prepackaged pickle cups are a nice add on. read more

Recently tried out their chicken bowl with friend plantains, rice and black beans and loved it. This review is long overdue. I've been coming to The Stand at this location for the past three years, and the quality and taste of the food have always been consistently great. Definitely one of the more busier locations but great food nonetheless. Tonight I ordered the big blue burger protein style along with a kids meal. I have to say I really love the protein burgers here, they are well wrapped & never fall apart & are also super filling. I typically order the jalapeño burger protein style (highly recommend) but tonight I wanted to switch it up & try something new. The big blue burger wasn't as good as the jalapeño burger but it was still flavorful & filling nonetheless I'd still recommend this one if you're someone who likes blue cheese. As mentioned above, this location is very busy so be prepared for a little bit of a wait time along with having to navigate finding seating. The store itself was well kept for the most part given the busy atmosphere however, service was lacking. I've gotten used to the friendly helpful service I receive at other locations so I was surprised when I didn't receive the same here. I was also frustrated & disappointed that they would not let me give my phone number to receive points since I used the first responder discount. It just doesn't make sense to me that because I'm using a first responder discount I can't receive points for the food that I am paying for. Seems a little odd logic to me along with being unfair. Parking is hectic as the plaza parking fills up pretty fast. Overall, while this isn't my favorite location it is still worth coming here as the food is good. read more

I've been here a few times now, and The Stand in Northridge has been consistently great. The food is fresh, flavorful, and comes out pretty quickly even when they're busy. Today was the second day in a row I visited the Northridge restaurant, and the AC isn't working. It is incredibly frustrating to walk there in the street heat only to arrive at the restaurant and find it feeling even hotter inside. I urge the owner to take action for the sake of the employees' health and customer comfort. That makes two days in a row that I've experienced this. read more

5 Stars The Stand in Northridge has seriously upped its game since the pandemic - the quality has definitely gone up! This place is now officially on my weekly rotation, and for good reason! Value - 5 The value here is great; you get a good amount of food for the price while they still maintain excellent quality. They also have a really good loyalty program and app, which is a nice bonus. Food - 5 The food here is perfection! The flavors are on point, and everything is delicious. My absolute favorites include their Fire sauce and delicious fire fries, and all their burgers are fantastic. But seriously, do not sleep on their Quinoa Crunch salad - it's the best salad in the business! The fried quinoa, nuts, and mint create an amazing combination of flavors that work so well together. Service - 5 The people here are so helpful, going above and beyond to ensure you have the best experience. Nobody is stingy with sauces and stuff either, which is always a plus! Physical Location - 5 The location is clean and spacious, with good parking. Everything about the physical space works - it's clean, well-decorated, and has a great environment. read more

Pulled up low expectations. Fast-casual brain on. Walked out with a recalibration. The quinoa salad is the anchor. The kind of dish that sneaks up on you. Quinoa cooked properly. Individual grains. Light. Nutty. No mush. No health-store sadness. Crunch comes from fresh vegetables that actually taste alive. Cool cucumbers. Sweet pop from corn. Tomatoes doing their juicy thing. Avocado folded in like silk. Creamy without going flat. The dressing pulls it together. Tang-forward. Clean acid. No syrupy aftertaste. No oil slick. Every bite lands. Every bite different. Zero dead space. With grilled salmon it levels up. The fish is the star without hijacking the bowl. Clean sear on the outside. Inside stays buttery. Flakes easy. Rich but restrained. Plays well with the acid. Feels intentional. Like someone tested this more than once. With grilled chicken it still hits. Juicy. Properly seasoned. Not just there for protein math. The salad doesn't bend to the add-on. The add-on earns its place. That balance is rare. Service stays sharp the whole time. Friendly without hovering. Orders taken fast. Food out faster. Packed room but no cracks. Tables flip with precision. Not rushed. Just efficient. Staff moves like they've done this a thousand times and still care. You feel it. The space stays busy and clean. Energy up. Noise manageable. People eating with purpose. In and out but not stressed. It works for a quick lunch. It works for a casual hang. It doesn't try too hard. It's giving... Erewhon vibes minus the performance. read more
