Great service and delicious food. My family and I came here to try their fish tacos because we were looking for something similar to Señor Sol, a restaurant in Northridge that sadly closed down. I adore the flavors of the food and sometimes the quality. There have been moments where it feels like there is a stingy chef putting just a bit of guacamole to a plate or the beef is super stringy and hard-chewy. Other times, the plate is good and made well. However, I feel like a lot of the recent times I've been here they have been lacking in that amazing feeling the other branch does. Most recently, I came here and lined up to get my order taken. Their single kiosk was barricaded off and one cashier was taking orders. But sometimes, the second lady can take your order too. It was a bit annoying watching the one cashier greet a customer in line, hear the phone ring, and then answer the phone and take their order in a lengthy way. Meanwhile, the guests infront are stuck just awkwardly standing in line. Another thing, a lot of orders were given out mistakenly or had errors. I saw 2 orders get switched up, and 1 person who did pick-up had to come back to correct it. I initally did take-out but ended up getting very hungry so I decided to dine-in instead. As I'm eating, a couple of ladies beside me were served the wrong plate! The male staff ended up giving a new plate about 5 minutes later of the correct order, and TOOK the plate the person was eating, saying it's ok they'll bring it to the back to throw it. I think that was a waste of food to throw it out, I mean, might as well let the people keep it since it was the restaurant's mistake. I have been coming to Las Fuentes for 35 years and recently something has changed, and it is odd. I always order a chicken burrito with chicken, beans and rice only. They have started charging for the rice. I do t get the avocado. Avocado is a larger up charge, but I have it removed. I shouldn't be charged for adding rice to my burrito. I love this place, but am getting upset for paying $2 extra for rice in my burrito. read more

New spot in the area and it's Las Fuentes second location. Over never been to the original in Reseda but for my first time here it was pretty good. It's located in the new shopping center and there is plenty of parking. They even have their own designated parking spots. The restaurant itself is clean inside, nice modern decor, and good amount of seating. You can order at the counter or order off a screen. If you at there, you'll place your order and then they will bring it out to you. They have a salsa bar with a good amount of options- the darker red salsa is the spicy one. I ordered the chile relleno burrito (wet) and the chile verde burrito. In my opinion, if you have the opportunity to make a burrito "wet" do it, just adds more flavor. The food here is always really good, which is why I never hesitate to come back. This is their second and newest location, to my knowledge, and it's located on Mason Avenue and Lassen. It's in the parking lot with Starbucks on the corner in Chatsworth, California. I always end up getting the Salpicón Tostada with chicken and no pico de gallo. It comes with lettuce, chicken, cotija cheese, and sour cream on top, with beans spread underneath on crispy tortillas. I always tell myself I'm going to try something new each time I go here, but I end up getting the same thing because the tostada is that amazing. Great service and delicious food are what keep me coming back, and they never disappoint. The place is well decorated, and you can really see the Mexican ambiance and vibe they're going for with all the colors, plants on the walls, and paintings. The parking lot is shared with several other stores, including, I believe, Jack in the Box, Starbucks, and Togo's, so there's plenty of parking and it won't be an issue here unlike the in Reseda where the parking is very tight, limited, and the spaces are very close together. Absolutely worst experience ever today. Ordered a chile relleno burrito i was extremely disappointed... No rice, no beans, leathery cheese, hot avocado.. avocado wth. The avocado was past its prime so I had to spit it out when I took it out it was black in some parts... The sauce for the wet burrito was super watery. Mexican food is comfort food and although I've missed my "California Mexican Cuisine," this came very close. The style of cooking was described to me as Mazatlan cuisine with a few influences from Monterey. Our order included chicken enchiladas and a wet burrito. Both came with Ranchera sauce instead of the roja sauce I was accustomed to. The generous helping of warm, melted cheese and ample portion of shredded chicken made the enchiladas a hit for me. My only recommendation would be to kick up the spice level in the sauce, but one could just as easily take advantage of the delicious salsas on the salsa bar (3 hot & 1 mild). Also on the salsa bar, -- cilantro, onions & lemon wedges. We purchased chips for a nominal fee of $2.50 and received a warm basketful. Beer and wine are available as are "wine margueritas" and mimosas. The service was timely and pleasant. I even noticed the busser checking on food satisfaction and quickly rounding up dishes when patrons were done. Something rarely seen in a small restaurant. Decor is colorful and upbeat! Plenty of reserved parking in front and to the right next to the Residence Inn. There is also a small, comfortable patio with umbrellas. On a side note, I noticed the gentleman next to me had the weekend special - menudo. It looked delicious and both he and his wife said it was "excellent!." I'm so happy that this place is near my gym (actually this will defeat the purpose of me working out now...LOL), hubby and I tried here for the first time after leaving the gym for early dinner and OMG...the service here is fantastic! I love seeing familiar faces & getting a delicious meal with a smile from their great staff. I will say, I absolutely hate the parking situation here, but I always forget all of the circles I did once I get my plate in front of me. Located in a large plaza with multiple businesses, large self parking lot, near the corner of Lassen / Mason. Great customer service, easy to order. Attentive young guy helped us out. He also took the food to the table. This location did not provide free chips, but do sell them. 1) I ordered the Machaca wet burrito ($11.50 - it's called Machaca but it's actually not Machaca, but shredded beef. Machaca is shredded beef jerky). The wet sauce is flavorful, no rice issued the burrito is a plus. Also upgraded to having rice and beans (+ $4.40). The rice had flavor and the beans were delicious. 2) Also ordered the Chile Relleno (dry, not wet) burrito. The Chile was stuffed with queso fresco). The restaurant was clean. I was craving some Mexican food and my friend mentioned this spot. It's their newer location in the valley. Inside has a variety of tables and outside had a small patio. This is an order up front and they bring you out your meal kinda place. I got two potato tacos (fried tacos) they were huge, lots of potato and the avocado salsa adds a little extra flavor. For Latin American Heritage Month, I went to my fave Mexican local spot, I love the fact they are now so close to me since they opened up in Chatsworth. I didn't order my usual, wet Carnitas Burrito, plus for a variety of textures, a Hard Shell Taco. This time I tried the Chicken Taquitos, the crispy corn shells were over stuffed with tender shredded white pollo lmeat.Dipped in some Salsa Fresca, they hit the spot, muy bien. I'm used to going to the Las Fuentes restaurant in Reseda, so when I heard a new location in Chatsworth was opening, I got really excited. The Chatsworth location is small, with an equally small parking lot; which makes it a whole process just to visit. The location in Reseda has the same parking issue. Either way, the food is good, so you wait. The food ordering process is the same here. You order at the register, take a number and go find somewhere to sit. This can be annoying because you could have a full restaurant and no place to eat your food. I ordered the Carne Asada and a Hard Shell Chicken taco, rice and beans. Although the food was good, it didn't have that Las Fuentes love that you're used. Maybe an off day? I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I'll come back and report an update. I do love this restaurant, I've visited the Reseda location for over 15 year, maybe longer. So I'm hoping it was just an off day. read more

I WAS excited to try this place. Went to the counter to order the two taquitos plate. It comes with sour cream and guacamole. As I am allergic to avocados, I asked if they can swap out the guacamole for more sour cream. They refused and said they can take out the guacamole but they would charge me extra for more sour cream. (a) guacamole is way more expensive than sour cream and I'm doing you a favor (b) no accommodation at all for my allergies???? When I asked again, the cashier said no and when I said I was "out" in that case, he couldn't care less that he lost my business. No emotion, empathy or anything. Just basically a "I don't care bro" reaction. This lack of flexibility and accommodation for a place that is wildly overpriced - two taquitos for $7.75? And then another $4.50 for rice and beans to make it a plate? - is just unacceptable to me. I will not be a customer at this restaurant. My girlfriend and I have been super excited waiting for this location to open up ever since we saw the roots of it starting up last year. Finally got a chance to not only be in the area but also be craving Mexican food so we came by here last night!! I'm used to the authentic restaurant feel that the other branch had, so at first I didn't like how modernized it appeared but it was okay. I understand it's newer. As I got used to the appearance, I ended up liking it. You get an option to order from kiosk or through the cashier which is really cool and helpful. From there you can check out the menu, grab a table number, and pay. You can only pay with credit card for the kiosk. However I do wish all of the entrees had photos because there were many entrees still blank! Hopefully they get updated in the future! Salsa bar was on the counter and I loved how the cups and lids, paper bags were stocked and ready to be grabbed. Once we sat down, we were actually super surprised at how quick our order came! Our plates were delicious and I thought that the food was just as good as the one on Reseda. Happy to note too that the parking lot here is large as it is shared with other businesses but there are multiple parking spots saved just for Las Fuentes too! The one in Reseda is always hard to find parking due to the small lot. After our experience here, I'm happy to say that I don't mind coming back to this branch again for the magic of Las Fuentes!! I've been to location in Reseda many times but the parking is horrible over there so was excited to check out this new location. Parking situation was much better even had designated spots right in front. That was already a plus. As for the food they have such an extensive menu but the flautas and burritos are always my go to and it didn't disappoint. Showed up for Valentines Day Dinner. No Reservations, No Problem. Place has plenty of parking. We ordered fairly quickly during peak dinner time. I ordered the Enchiladas plate. My wife had the Quesadilla plate with rice and beans. We had some chips and guac. We ordered the fountain drinks. Food was great. Service was excellent. Best Mexican food We've ever had. Not only was the food fantastic, , but the staff was great, and the margaritas are Devine.. We ate dinner there on June 15 to celebrate our 58 th wedding anniversary. This year we wanted to do something different and choose a restaurant based on the exceptional taste, rather than how expensive it was. We usually feel obliged to pick some high priced place with little enthusiasm for the food just because i5 seems like the expected thing for us to do. We don't need the dark dining rom with the cloth napkins and fancy tiny servings with decorations all over the plates. We were exhausted from running errands and uncomfortable from the heat of the day. We had no desire to dress up or drive downtown so we chose Las Fuentes and soooo glad we did. I ordered the chili relkeno Plato and my husband selected the steak Plato. Wow! We loved the food and were blown away by the large portions. The food was outstanding in every way. Been waiting for months for this location to open, finally open! I was so happy to see that they opened that we went for dinner that night. We went around 6:30 and it was busy for opening night, but not too bad. Waiting in line for only a couple minutes, took us much longer to decide on what to get. I liked the decor inside on the walls and it was very modern and clean looking. They have a nice big patio with nice lights and will be perfect on warmer nights. They are at the corner of Mason and Lassen, private lot and they have a large amount of reserved parking for Las Fuentes. The servers were nice, it was opening night, so there were some jitters I am sure, but they were nice. We did notice one item was priced wrong in the register be the menu, but they happily corrected it, so all good. I got the Carne Asada plate, which was very good, but maybe priced a bit high compared to some of the other items on the menu. We also got an Al Pastor burrito, Asada Burrito and 2 tacos (Chicken and fish) with a side of rice and beans. We all enjoyed the food, it was very good. Should have added rice and beans to the burritos in hind site, would have made them more filling and rounded them out. They have a self serve salsa bar with 4 levels of salsa, liked 3 of the 4, the smokey one I was not a fan of, I know others love it. I prefer habanero based ones with some nice spice, as well as a self serve drink area. One miss here though is they do not give you chips with your meal, they put a 3 chips with my plate, otherwise none. This is one of those things you expect and should be included as a value add. Inexpensive and makes an impression on customers. All in all very happy to have an excellent Mexican food restaurant close to us finally. Cost wise vs value/size, I would say it is a bit higher priced for the amount of food you get, but the food is very good and not outrageously priced. I've been waiting for what seems like forever for this Las Fuentes location to open. The grand opening was a few days ago and I came in today (a Saturday) with my friend and her family. My review is as follows: The decor is well thought out throughout the interior with seating available both indoors and in the outdoor patio. Food options are similar to that of the original Las Fuentes, but seem to be more constricted as far as options. There is breakfast available as well. There is plenty of parking (unlike the other location) as Las Fuentes Chatsworth is located in a strip mall along with a Starbucks, Popeyes, Jack in the Box, and Planet Fitness. My tried and trued order is the chicken flautas plate with rice and beans. Comes with one flauta with sour cream, guac, lettuce, and cheese. The rice and beans are outstanding. Their salsa bar is one of my favorites as well. Highly recommend the avocado salsa! The horchata is also great. Service was a bit slow. I'd however take that with a grain of salt considering it is opening week. I'm sure they're still trying to figure things out. Also, a bit disappointed as there really isn't a kids menu option. Would recommend that they look into adding one as we had children with us who had to order food which ended up being boxed up to go. read more

Came to try the new location Saturday Feb 8th. I had high expectations, since I've been going to the reseda location for 30+years. I ordered the tostada , which was nearly as good as reseda location. But I would say it was a smaller portion. The green hot salsa was excellent, on par with reseda location Wife ordered the bowl , and strawberry margarita. She enjoyed both I love horchata , but it looked like they don't make it in house. (I might be wrong ) Menu was smaller. Seating is smaller. So if your group is more than 4, might be a problem to get everyone sitting together If you don't compare it, I think people will like it. I do believe reseda location is better. I was so happy when I saw Las Fuentes was coming to a location so close to my house. They had just opened on Friday and I went the following Thursday. I could tell they are still going through the pains of just opening but for the most part everything was great. The line wasn't long to order but it did take a minute for the people in front to finish. The menu is big and offers many different dishes which is nice. Inside there are a few tables so it was hard to get one but I managed to grab one as someone was leaving. The service to get our food was slow and I noticed other tables who ordered after me got their food before me. The food came out hot and was delicious. The salsa bar is great and offers variety from mild to hot along with onions, cilantro and lemons. For $2.50 you can get a basket of chips which were freshly made and was nice to eat while I waited for the main dish. All in all it was a good experience. I will definitely be back and excited to try new items on the menu. Parking can be tough as it is small and they share parking with a few other businesses. read more

Food wise has been pretty good except for one time our chicken taquitos were disgusting. They smelled and tasted weird like they went bad or something. By the time we got home and started eating, they were closed for the night. We called the next day and they were apologetic and refunded us. Excellent customer service. My go to orders are the chicken taquitos, the asada plate or the chicken tostada if I want something a bit lighter. My daughter loves their chicken soup. Their decor is simple and modern. They also have margaritas which I haven't tried yet but I want to soon. Of course the original is the best one for me. Their food and service is consistent.
