    GF wrap--Cracked pepper turkey
    Alisa M.

I've only ever had their gluten free wraps. Which is much appreciated! Sometimes I enjoy the lighter option of a gf wrap rather than gf bread. The staff was attentive to my dietary needs and was helpful when I ordered from their kiosk. Heads up, the gf wrap comes in one size, so I suggest getting their "medium" or "large" option. Otherwise there isn't enough filling in the wrap. My wrap had more mustard than I expected when I ordered it, so maybe speaking up about your preference is a good idea. The store has decent indoor and outdoor seating options!

This new sandwich shop in Porter Ranch is awesome! Their sandwiches have so much flavor! Great service, clean restaurant and so many choices to pick from! They have sandwiches, salads, soups & flatbreads! I got the Brisket sandwich and kinda just chose my toppings but everything tasted hot & fresh I loved it! If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely stop here and try something else!

Had a followup visit to Sourdough & Co. today where I dined in with my mom for a lunch date. We had the pleasure to interact with Cesar & Randy. Cesar was extremely kind, and Randy made our sandwiches to perfection. This was a 5-star visit, it was clean inside & pleasant to sit & enjoy some delicious food. You gotta try the Guava Lemonade to cool off on a hot day. Service was wonderful, we can't wait to come back.

Stopped by today and got the turkey pesto sandwich , the bread was the star to me, really good sourdough with a nice chew. I will be back to try the French dip and a few other hot sandwiches that I saw them preparing while I was there. Friendly fast service.

My mom found this new place off of Facebook and wanted to go check it out to see if the reviews were telling the truth about how good this place was. This place is located in the busy porter ranch plaza, surrounded by other local restaurants. Upon entering this place, we were invited by welcoming workers and I wish I would've gotten her name but she was amazing. She gave us her recommendations on her favorites and other customer popular items on the menu. I appreciate that she took my allergy into consideration. The food was overall good, however I don't think it is worth the price point that they are selling it at. At that price point I would rather go to Jersey mikes or another sandwich place. The inside the restaurant, you can sit and enjoy your food but outside has amazing scenery to enjoy it as well. Overall not too bad

Great bread! That's the only thing I liked about their sandwiches. We ordered pastrami and ham they asked us 101 questions!!! Hard to understand what the they were asking and I had to repeat few times what I wanted. The meat portion was very small basically you are paying for bread and lettuce!!!! Small little 4" sandwich costs $10 and the 6" $14. Much prefer Jersey Mike's or even better, Brent's deli. I rather pay a little more and get a better sandwich.

I have a love of San Francisco sourdough and I've always wished there was a restaurant that could give me my beloved clam chowder in a bread bowl so I was so excited to see Sourdough & Co. was coming to Porter Ranch. I was so excited to find a place that would be able to scratch that food itch. Unfortunately, the mark was missed for the whole experience. I came in about 40 minutes before closing & was the only one there. I thought to myself 'Great! Should get quick service!' Unfortunately, the man working the register had to have me repeat my order 3 times (clam chowder in a bread bowl and a drink. Nothing crazy) and then took forever to put it in the POS. Maybe he was new. I don't know. But it was somewhat annoying. Next, I sat. And sat. And sat. Took maybe 10ish minutes for my meal to come out. I know that's not a ton of time, but when you're the only person in the restaurant and you're just asking for essentially a scoop of premade soup, I expected things to come out almost instantly. I think it might have something to do with the fact that they toasted the bread bowl (a nice touch I will admit) but even with that it felt like it took way too long to come out. The soup itself was ok. Plenty of clam in there which I appreciated. And it was decently thick. But it was overly salty and I would've loved some celery or some other veggie mixed in for a variety of texture. What I really was disappointed in, however, was the bread. Like I said, the toasting was nice. But the bread tasted more like French bread than sourdough. It was soft and lacked that distinct sour flavor that I have come to love. It was just...not what I was hoping for. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. Very inviting. But, my experience just left me wanting more. And maybe I just had an off experience. I will probably go back and give them another shot, but will try something other than the soup. I can forgive a single bad customer service experience. But if they aren't nailing the sourdough, the item the restaurant is named after, well I just can't recommend it.

Sourdough & Co. in Porter Ranch is bringing fresh, quality comfort food to the neighborhood. Their signature sourdough is the star soft on the inside, perfectly crisp on the outside and the kind of bread that makes any sandwich instantly better. The deli style sandwiches come stacked with fresh ingredients, and the soups pair perfectly for that cozy, satisfying combo. The shop is bright, clean, and quick with service, making it an easy go to for lunch or a casual bite. A solid addition to Porter Ranch for anyone craving simple, well made classics.

My mom and I decided to try this new sandwich business once we saw it in the shopping center lot. We seen that it was new and it only has been open for a few weeks and when we went inside they had a really good menu and others I was inside eating Gave good feedback on the food and said that it was good so we had to try it. It's pretty quaint inside and small, but very cute and very clean. Customer service is very exceptional and they have really good personalities and take their time to prepare the food fresh. I ordered a small cup of clam chowder and the turkey sandwich on gluten free wrap. The clam chowder was so fresh and hot and very delicious next time on my cheat day I will get the bowl with the sourdough bread. My wrap was very good too and it made me meet my calories for the day lol. The prices are a little higher than an average sandwich spot but as well worth it cause it's very good quality and great taste ! I will come back here ASAP because I do want to try their Caesar salad with the side of soup. They also have a kid menu that's reasonable if you have kids. Is plenty of parking it's right next to Ralph's in shopping center in Porter Ranch. Plenty of parking ! I highly recommend -Marshay D.

    Italian flatbread

Sourdough & Co. A sandwich so small, it brought tears to my eyes from laughing at it!.... So I stopped in after seeing a few Yelp reviews and figured I'd check this place out. Walked in and was greeted by a young employe and an older manager. Super friendly staff. I asked about the Reuben sandwich and if it came with Thousand Island, and they looked at me like I asked for a spaceship. Nobody knew what that was. LOL So I asked what they do put on it, and they told me it comes with their house spread. It's a roasted red pepper mayonnaise with honey crystals, garlic, onion, and some other mysterious "proprietary spices." I also made sure it came with Swiss and sauerkraut, and they said yes, so I went for it. I got the small because I also wanted to try one of their flatbread pizzas, which they claim to be famous for. I ordered the Italian to keep it classic. The Reuben came out first and immediately started laughing. It looked like two sliders. I've never seen a sandwich that small before. I mean, ten bucks and the pickle was literally bigger than the sandwich. But here's the twist. It was actually really good. The sourdough roll was soft with a little crunch, the pastrami was tender, the cheese was melted just right, and that coleslaw with the house spread gave it a creamy little kick. Tiny but tasty. Then the pizza came out and saved the day. Great size, plenty of cheese, pepperoni, olives, bell peppers, onions, and that sauce had a nice tang to it. It had that comforting, familiar flavor but still felt fresh. So overall, I had a good time here. The staff was cute and friendly, even if they didn't know what Thousand Island was. I just wish the sandwich was closer to sandwich size. Would I come back? Maybe. It was weird, funny, and honestly pretty tasty. So who knows?

    French Dip Sandwich
    Steve S.

French Dip Sandwich: 4.9 of 5 Sometimes the first bite tells the story and my first bite was incredibly special, it was love at first bite! I ordered the french dip sandwich and as I bit into it, I initially tasted the freshness and the flavor notes of the hot sourdough bread--perfect crisp on the outside and pillowy on the inside. As my taste buds worked their way past the awesome bread, that's where I tasted the thinly sliced beef, which was temperature-hot as well, tender, juicy and just very flavorful. And as you dip the sandwich into their au jus, the delicious bread is soaked in the sauce, the flavor profile amplifies and you're taken to Flavor Town. A pretty perfect sandwich. I was very impressed by the texture and the flavor in each bite. You have a choice of a 6 inch or an 8 inch and I went with an 8 and never looked back. The customer service was on point and the place is small, clean, with a few tables inside. Definitely a good addition to the Porter Ranch neighborhood. Will be back for more!

A little bit of not too much this cost me $25 for a sandwich smaller than my hand.

Even when we ordered the food, the server said "that's it?" as if she was offended that we didn't order more food (lower sales?) I'm not sure if we misunderstood her attitude but that's kind of how it felt like. The quality and size went down and it was just... not good. This used to be my #1 spot for cold noodles but our other fav place was closed today so we decided to come here. As you can see, the size of the cold noodles became smaller. Everything was packed in this small bowl which made it harder to eat. I think they changed the noodles they use because it wasn't doing anything texture wise. It used to be chewy and had a good buckwheat flavor. The broth tasted.. like water with a splash of bone broth. The quality of galbi was also a disappointing as I feel like it's became less and the meat was burnt with more fat/chewy bits. The leek pancake was ok but again, comparing it to my picture from January, it was bigger in size and more dough-y. Service was decent previously but it felt a bit cold today. Again, super bummed because we still love this place but I probably won't be ordering their combo again. You can see in my pictures how often we used to order the cold noodles from here and you can compare the quality.

Don't let the line of people outside, or the lack of parking, deter you. The food is worth a bit of a wait and they have good efficiency with turning over tables. The beef bulgogi really stands out for me. The peppers and mushrooms elevate the dish beyond the onions and beef I'm used to at most Korean places. It makes the dish something you can confidently order as a standalone meal. But it was also a sizable portion. So if you are willing to share your food, the dish works well if you want room to try another item. The vegetarian bibimbap came with tofu so you can still get your protein. I didn't personally eat this dish but I'm a stranger to these parts and this was the dish that helped my group discover this restaurant. So it comes highly regarded. If you are looking for something a bit different, and don't need the crispy rice cooked to the hot stone pot, the Yulmu Bibimbap is a great option. The barley rice gives a unique feel to the dish and the bean paste stew made the dish more interactive than most. The stew was bubbling hot and was packing a punch as well. So be prepared for both kinds of heat with that dish. But definitely good, and well worth the deviation if you want to stray from the classics that this place nails every time. The hot and sour soup was thick and chunky, just how I like the soup. The scallion bread sandwich with 5-spice beef was distinct. The bread was perfectly baked and the beef was flavorful and juicy. There was both mustard greens and pickles that gave crunch and acidity to balance the meat and bread. The lotus root salad was refreshing while still having a kick from their in-house chili oil. They also had really authentic and delicious looking cold appetizers like woodear mushrooms and lotus root salad. There was barely a line when we arrived and we were able to order and get a table without much wait. The food all came out at the same time and very quickly. We got their shrimp wontons, Chia Yi chicken rice, and sesame scallion bread stuffed with braised pork belly. I was ready to be transported back to Asia when I saw the dishes but tasting them left me wanting more. The shrimp wontons had very thin silky wrapper which was very tasty, but the shrimp itself was so bland and lacked texture. Most of the shrimp wontons I've loved had a nice bite to it from the baking soda soak but this was just soft dumpling skin on soft shrimp. The shrimp itself could've used more salt and white pepper too, but I suppose dousing it in chili oil helped. The scallion bread filled with pork belly is probably the tastiest dish. The pork belly was well cooked and paired well with the sweet sauce, crunchy peanuts and fresh herbs. The sesame scallion bread however tasted like it has been sitting out on the counter for hours waiting to be stuffed. The bread was cold and the exterior wasn't crispy, there were scallion pieces throughout but you couldn't really taste it. I would recommend trying other dishes before trying the chia yi chicken rice. The shredded chicken was dry and bland, mixed in with mostly soggy pieces of fried shallots. The rice was more flavourful because it was soaked in fragrant oils, but it also left it very mushy and almost congee like. The pickled radishes didn't add much to the dish either. I almost forgot but we also tried their honey lemon black tea and passion fruit black tea. Neither tea had a lot of tea flavor, it was mostly just sweet. The passion fruit syrup was pretty tasty but we both wished there was more black tea. I might be extra critical since I grew up with this type of food, but there are other restaurants in LA that delivers great quality Chinese food. TL;DR: Joy is a well decorated restaurant with good vibes that prioritizes speed of service over freshness and flavour of food.

The duck udon is flavorful with plenty of meat. The soup pair perfectly with the udon as well. There was a line outside before it opened. But not too bad. They got a little eating area outside right next to the street and I saw people ate there with their dog as well. I guess that they are "kinda" dog friendly?

7/19/2026 3 1/2…read moreStars Not my first time here, but my first review on Yelp. Been awhile since I was last here. UDON KAKE It was good, but the broth was a bit salty at first. Udon noodles were good, but it was not excellent. It did have light chewy texture. BUT in comparison to Meiji Seimen, it fell short, really short! I was disappointed. BEEF BOWL It was delicious! Beef was tender and moist and loved the caramelized onion too. Rice was delicious too, not dry nor mushy. Served with pickled red ginger. A very satisfying bowl. Sat at the bar, so watched them make udon from scratch, which was nice. WAIT LIST There was a line when I got there, just as it opened. It wasn't long, but everyone wrote their name down on a wait list. There's a sheet of paper placed on the table outside. Please write your name down ASAP, as that will help in making sure that you will grab a seat. Also, the lines are disorganized too, so it's best to write down your name, so no one cuts in front of you. It is a small restaurant. Limited seats. CUSTOMER SERVICE It was okay. Everyone got in the restaurant in the order they came in. Service was quick and there were no delays in taking orders. The server came by quickly and dropped off the check as she saw that I was nearly finished with my meal. PARKING Parked at Joe's Autoparks. It was $15! I did not know until after I paid the ticket. Very difficult to find parking in this area, so not many options unless you want to walk really far, back to your car in 90 degree heat. There was another parking garage next to Joe's, but the price was the same! Would I come back again? Not sure. Given that the udon wasn't what I expected, it may be my last time here. Also, parking sucks.

Had a great experience at Sulga House of Beef Bone Soup…read more Their beef bone soup is simple, clean, and really solid, the kind of comfort food that just hits right for the soul. They currently have a great deal at $12, which makes it even better value for what you're getting. The sullungtang comes with rice, soup, and two types of kimchi. Service was friendly and efficient, and the whole experience felt easy and satisfying. Place was chill, not too overly crowded. I've noticed a lot of people ordering other dishes every time I go, so I'm definitely looking forward to trying more of the menu, but I keep coming back for the basics because it's just that good.

Sulga was definitely THE place to be for a warm bowl of bone broth on a rainy night. My friend and…read moreI stopped by for doganitang (for two), and the portions were indeed large - for four. We also added beef brisket since my friend wasn't a big fan of cartilage - more for me! The pot itself wasn't too deep, though there was a good portion of protein cartilage. Also important to note that rice was NOT included! The brisket add on came as a pre-cooked brisket that was added in after, as it didn't initially fit in the pot. The staff member told us at the time that broth refills were free. However, when it came time for refills, they said it was only one time - poor communication. Paying was fairly straightforward, but for future visits, I'd likely just come for their lunch special sullongtang after this experience.
