Much better this time around. They've added more to their menu since the last time I've been here which was years ago. This time we ordered the half soy garlic fried chicken which was super crispy tangy but not too sweet, half order of Bulgogi, which was so tasty, malatang which is a spicy beef soup with tofu and vegetables. Soup super tasty, but it was more vegetables than anything else. The fried shrimp was really crispy and tasty. Spicy shrimp dumplings were a little too spicy for me, but we're really tasty. Very friendly and prompt service.
This place is a little gem across the street from the mall. It was a cute little area that satisfied my dumplings cravings. Only thing I questioned was if all the dumplings had the same filling but a different presentation. I can tell the wrapping were made in house .. they were all so light and fluffy. Didn't taste pre-made at all. Service was with a smile ... and I enjoyed talking to the server about how they made the food and how long they've been open. Definitely a place I'd visit again when I visit. Bon Appetit!!!!
I give this place 5/5. Hospitality was 5/5. They are very welcoming, helpful and attentive. The food was seasoned too good and I can't get enough. It side was clean, good space around and well lighted. It was a good dinner and it was a good experience. Depends what n the day and parking can be a challenge.
We stopped in for dinner the other night. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center they are located in. The restaurant itself is small but charming. I love the homemade kimchi and takuan. I could eat both of these with some rice all day. We started with some noodle soup. Handcut noodles, beef dumplings and vegetables made for a comforting start to the meal. Then we got an order of dim sum. They give you quite a few pieces. They are stuffed with pork and Chinese and are absolutely delicious. We also got a half order of the Korean Fried Chicken. It was piping hot and very crispy. The kimchi steamed buns were next. They were large and very filling. Each bun was packed woth kimchi, pork and vegetables. We ended with sweet red bean steamed buns. These were also large and filling. A great way to finish our meal. A great place for dumplings and not worrying about leaving hungry. Great service too!
Their Sweet And Spicy Fried Chicken is a definite MUST-TRY!! Their house-made sauce is blended with Korean spices, giving you that glossy, sticky, sweet heat that builds gently without overpowering. Not super spicy, more sweet taste but insanely flavorful and addictive. We got a half order, which consisted of 1 wing, 1 drumstick, 1 thigh, 2 rib, 2 breast, costing $16.99. A whole order of chicken is $28.99. We would definitely order again. Dumplings are handmade fresh daily. You can literally taste the difference in every bite -- juicy fillings, delicate wrappers, and that perfect pleat. We tried: Dim Sum 10 pc $16.99 Korean style dumplings 8 pc $15.99 King Steamed Dumpling With Pork And Vegetables 4pc $15.99 Pan Fried Dumplings 10pc $16.99 My favorites were the Korean style dumplings and Pan Fried Dumplings. King Steamed Dumpling With Pork And Vegetables is huge, fluffy and bouncy. The taste of the filling was okay. The dim sum was a good size and looked pretty. Hard to pick up with chopsticks without the bottom breaking. The bottom was really delicate so using a spoon makes it easier. The Marinaded Beef $15.99 (half order) was perfect with rice. Complimentary small Sides: kimchi, pickled radish and cabbage salad. I really liked the pickled radish. This place is tucked away in a strip near the Northridge Promenade Shopping Center. Parking can be difficult during peak hours. Nyi had wonderful customer service.
Tried Myungin Dumplings in Northridge, across the street from Northridge Fashion Square. Portions here are generous, and we ordered several dishes to sample the menu. The pork and shrimp dim sum was bigger than expected and very juicy. The bulgogi came out on a sizzling plate and had solid flavor. I also really liked the green onion pancake was crispy outside with a chewy, almost mochi-like texture inside. The Kimchi King steamed dumplings were HUGE and could easily be a meal on their own. We also had the fried shrimp (not made in-house but still crispy) and the soy garlic fried chicken, which was sweet, savory, and enjoyable. Nice to see the buns being made fresh. Overall, good portions and comforting food, a solid spot if you're in the area craving dumplings.
I enjoyed coming here for a casual dine-in to enjoy some fresh and hot dumplings. They are of pretty big sizing, which was to my group's pleasure. I highly recommend the dim sum dumplings, as you can taste and enjoy each bite of handmade goodness. There are also a generous amount of sides given (Korean-style yay!) to pair with the dumplings as well as chili oil to give every single bite a different element. The menu seemed very inviting to try more but we were in a hurry and had to wrap our food quickly. It also seems like they're always upgrading their menu and releasing new items to try! They take Apple pay and you just have to pay at the counter. Easy to get seated at here, there's lots of open tables to sit at. Service is efficient and nothing extraordinary. Solo bathrooms for men and women.
I really enjoyed coming here for a snack bite of some fresh, hot dumplings!!! It was my first time trying Korean dumplings and I enjoyed them here at Myungin Dumplings. Located in a shared but big and narrow lot, it was easy finding this spot. I thought that sharing two dishes here with a group was great for what we needed. We tried out the pan fried dumplings (shrimp, pork, vegetables) and the Dim Sum (steamed with pork and shrimp). Chewy, the dough for both dumplings were yummy. It was great how clear the menu was as it showed what was inside each dumpling. The sides were good to chew and munch on also with the dumplings. I definitely also appreciate how clean the interior is and decorated!!! The rest of the menu seemed super good too and would definitely love to come back here again to try out more!!

I've ordered delivery from here before and went there in person to dine in for the first time recently. We ordered an assortment of dumplings - kimchi, pan fried, shrimp, along with some fried rice and pancake. The pancake with the dipping sauce was tasty. The best of the dumplings were the shrimp, although the spice level was kinda high for me. The fried rice was slightly bland. Overall, their food is OK. Not sure if I'd go back though.

The true highlight of the meal was the fried chicken. We tried both the sweet & spicy and the soy garlic, and while both were excellent, the soy garlic absolutely stood out. It was crispy, well-coated, and packed with rich, savory flavor without being overpowering. Easily one of the best versions I've had. We also ordered the chicken fried rice, which was comforting, well-seasoned, and paired perfectly with the rest of the meal. Even the lemonade deserves a mention--refreshing and balanced, a great complement to the bold flavors of the food. The restaurant itself was very clean and well maintained, and the service was warm and attentive throughout our visit. The staff was friendly, efficient, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Compliments to the chef--every dish tasted thoughtfully prepared and consistently delicious. Excellent food and great service/hospitality by Ariana. The one in K-Town was the spot Anthony Bourdain reviewed. Not realizing there was one here in Northridge close to the mall what a great find. The food was excellent will definitely be back soon. They have a few TVs in there and was watching the replay of the Dodger game, so that's good to know. read more

Finally made it to Myungin Dumplings, and it did not disappoint! It's a cozy neighborhood spot with a lot of heart. While the menu is concise, everything we ordered was delicious. We had the sweet and spicy fried chicken, which was super crunchy and juicy--the sauce was packed with flavor and delivered a nice, slow burn. We also tried the king buns, which were fresh, light, and surprisingly airy. Though they look huge, the dough was perfectly fluffy rather than dense or dry. The beef bulgogi was decent, though it would have been even better with a bit more char. On top of the great food, the restaurant was spotless and the service was attentive (our server was right there with extra napkins for the saucy chicken). I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu! read more

Came in and ordered the beef rib soup, the king dumpling, and the fried chicken. The place is clean, but the AC is really inadequate for a heatemwave of socal in 100 degrees, so there is that. If you want to experience eating while sweating your balls, this is a great exercise. The side dish is really mediocre, some kimchee, and shredded cabbage with thousand Island dressing, really nothing special here. The king dumplings has no flavor, it is soft but when you bite it, there is really no excitement to it. The filling is generous but also bland. The fried chicken is just uber dry, some parts of the skin is pretty good, but the seasoning is weak. The beef rib soup is the worse, there was literally no Korean flavor at all, it's just bland in spices and flavor. Maybe this is just an ok place to hang, but the food is nothing to write home about. read more

Best korean food in the valley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Korean food never disappoints. The flavors are bold, savory, and perfectly balanced. From the crispy, juicy fried chicken to the rich and comforting bowls of bibimbap, everything tasted fresh and authentic. We found this highly rated Asian restaurant on Yelp. It's located very close to the Northridge mall and has plenty of free parking in a shared lot. The restaurant is small, but cozy and warm. The staff is friendly and very welcoming and attentive. For a Saturday night, one waitress successfully served 4-5 tables single handed. The food is fresh and delicious. We loved how easy the menu is to order from l, especially since it offers pictures. The fried chicken is very juicy and delicious. The dumplings were also tasty and filling. If you are looking for authentic dim sum, this place is great. We got the green onion pancake, potstickers, pork buns, fried chicken, dumpling soup and it was all delicious. I think we could've skipped the fried chicken, it was good, we just ordered too much food. Definitely a must try. If you are in the area. The service is also great, everybody is very kind. read more
Honestly, found this hole in the wall gem after my daughters Water Wing session and we were starving and man oh man I am so happy we took a chance here! The korean fried chicken was absolutely delicious! It was the highlight of our meal and I would return just to try the other flavors of fried chicken. The chicken itself was very tender and was very flavorful. It was cooked and fried to perfection. The host was very attentive and made sure we were content with our dinner. The fried rice was a great compliment to the chicken and we also had dumplings which were also pretty flavorful. I will definitely be coming back for seconds and more fried chicken. read more

This place is really good classic food. Menu is super simple. The side dishes isn't that much as it's just a simple side dish with kimchi, radish and a salad. But you come here for the main courses. The ambience is welcoming and simple. Will come back! read more

It's my first try of Korean dumplings, so at first it just tasted different - but it didn't disappoint! We loved the beef dumpling soup - served just warm enough to prep the tummy for bigger meals! Dim sum is my personal fave here while pan fried dumplings is my wife's fave. The soy garlic chicken has an adequately balanced mix of saltiness and sweetness. Like it much better than the usual sweet fried chicken. The place is great if you want the more intimate and quiet kind of ambiance. Service is just right! read more

Not one to avidly post on Yelp, but after the looks the servers gave us after we told them about a cockroach crawling on the wall, people deserve to know this restaurant isn't worth it. The food was alright. We tried other foods but they're not pictured. The kimchi is oddly salty too. We let the female server know there was a cockroach, and she didn't say a word. When I looked over when we were leaving, she was talking to her male coworker and they both were looking at us like we were crazy. Of course I stared back because why are you looking at us like that? You should be thankful we let you know there's cockroaches crawling around the restaurant. Mad disrespectful. read more

I would not recommend coming here until they fix their A/C but even then I feel the food was just okay. We ordered their new malatang hot pot and spicy shrimp dumpling. You get 8 dumplings for $17, a bit overpriced when it's not the main course. It doesn't taste spicy unless you dip it in chili sauce. The soup had good flavor but was lacking a lot of variety. The small free side dishes, banchan, were also a huge disappointment compared to many Korean restaurants. I dined here yesterday and was sweating profusely, the 2 staffs at the front did not make any attempt to accommodate like moving the fan closer or lowering the degree on their a/c until we asked. Just a total lack of empathy. read more

Tell me, who does not like dumplings. While there are well established chains, I like to seek out and patronize mom and pop, smaller restaurants, that deliver this wonderful category of food. Myungin Dumplings, is a Korean restaurant on Nordoff in the SFV. There is a staff member making fresh dumplings, albeit on a smaller scale, to cater to the 25-item menu. All are not dumplings. There is fried rice, many signature Korean fried chicken items, dumpling noodle soups and chicken buns. Though small in the dining space, the place is popular. I actually came here for a mid day snack and chose, the spicy shrimp dumplings. They come eight to an order (too much for me), served with a siracha sauce, that was definitely from a bottle. I preferred the chili soy type sauce that also came with the compliments, in a square crucible. The dumplings are elongated in shape and are superbly prepared. The steamed item has a filling of minced pork and small pieces of shrimp, mixed with spices and green vegetable. A perfect balance of freshness and intense warm flavor that marries well with the outer covering. All dishes come with small complimentary side dishes. A shredded lettuce, with too much thousand island, pickled large beige radishes (not my thing) and kimchi. Service was prompt, attentive and commendable. read more

A hidden gem in the northridge area. If you are looking for good korean dumplings and fried chicken, this is the place to go. I've been to a lot of korean fried chicken places, but this place,, this place makes really good korean fried chicken. The crunch is different from what I used to eat. Their garlic soy is so finger licking good! I should say better than bb.q chicken and kyo chon. It's that good! Their beef dumpling soup is also very good. We also ordered the fried rice, this one too is good. My only complain is their fried rice portion is a little small. The next time we visit here again, we'll try their bun/siopao and fried or steam dumplings which is their specialty. The place is very cozy and clean. Staff are nice too. But the service is on the slow side. I guess maybe they want to make sure that their chicken is cooked to perfection. We'll definitey come back here. read more

I haven't tried everything on their menu yet, but so far everything I've tasted has been delicious. The Soy Garlic Fried Chicken is the best!! I'll definitely keep coming back here. Also, the service is excellent. The server was very attentive and kept checking if everything was okay or if we needed anything. It made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Amazing food and great service! Everything we ordered was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The steamed buns were soft and fluffy with a juicy, well-seasoned filling inside -- seriously delicious. The ramen and soup were rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced, especially on a cold day. Portions were generous, and all the side dishes were tasty and fresh.
