We stopped in for dinner the other night. There is plenty of parking in the shopping center they are located in. The restaurant itself is small but charming. I love the homemade kimchi and takuan. I could eat both of these with some rice all day. We started with some noodle soup. Handcut noodles, beef dumplings and vegetables made for a comforting start to the meal. Then we got an order of dim sum. They give you quite a few pieces. They are stuffed with pork and Chinese and are absolutely delicious. We also got a half order of the Korean Fried Chicken. It was piping hot and very crispy. The kimchi steamed buns were next. They were large and very filling. Each bun was packed woth kimchi, pork and vegetables. We ended with sweet red bean steamed buns. These were also large and filling. A great way to finish our meal. A great place for dumplings and not worrying about leaving hungry. Not one to avidly post on Yelp, but after the looks the servers gave us after we told them about a cockroach crawling on the wall, people deserve to know this restaurant isn't worth it. The food was alright. We tried other foods but they're not pictured. The kimchi is oddly salty too. We let the female server know there was a cockroach, and she didn't say a word. When I looked over when we were leaving, she was talking to her male coworker and they both were looking at us like we were crazy. Of course I stared back because why are you looking at us like that? The pork and shrimp dim sum was bigger than expected and very juicy. The bulgogi came out on a sizzling plate and had solid flavor. I also really liked the green onion pancake was crispy outside with a chewy, almost mochi-like texture inside. The Kimchi King steamed dumplings were HUGE and could easily be a meal on their own. We ordered a variety of dishes, including their dim sum and fried dumplings, which were perfectly cooked--crispy on the outside, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The true highlight of the meal was the fried chicken. We tried both the sweet & spicy and the soy garlic, and while both were excellent, the soy garlic absolutely stood out. My go to for Korean buns in the north valley. It's not as good as the original ktown location, but still solid. The only thing I would not recommend is the fried chicken. I ordered it two different times to be sure and it was the same both times - all bones. I don't know what parts of the chicken they use but it seems like fried pieces of spine, wing tips, etc. read more

We found this highly rated Asian restaurant on Yelp. It's located very close to the Northridge mall and has plenty of free parking in a shared lot. The restaurant is small, but cozy and warm. The staff is friendly and very welcoming and attentive. For a Saturday night, one waitress successfully served 4-5 tables single handed. The food is fresh and delicious. We loved how easy the menu is to order from l, especially since it offers pictures. The fried chicken is very juicy and delicious. The dumplings were also tasty and filling. What a tasty find!! This place is in a larger strip mall and while it doesn't look like a traditional restaurant, it is a sit-down, full service spot. My friend and I shared a large Cass beer and shared the spicy shrimp dumplings and the dim sum dish. Everything was really tasty! They bring you their version of banchan, which is tradition kim chi, pickled radish, and some shredded cabbage with house dressing. I had some leftovers the next day and everything was still good. The small free side dishes, banchan, were also a huge disappointment compared to many Korean restaurants. I dined here yesterday and was sweating profusely, the 2 staffs at the front did not make any attempt to accommodate like moving the fan closer or lowering the degree on their a/c until we asked. There is fried rice, many signature Korean fried chicken items, dumpling noodle soups and chicken buns. Though small in the dining space, the place is popular. I actually came here for a mid day snack and chose, the spicy shrimp dumplings. They come eight to an order (too much for me), served with a siracha sauce, that was definitely from a bottle. I preferred the chili soy type sauce that also came with the compliments, in a square crucible. The dumplings are elongated in shape and are superbly prepared. The steamed item has a filling of minced pork and small pieces of shrimp, mixed with spices and green vegetable. A perfect balance of freshness and intense warm flavor that marries well with the outer covering. All dishes come with small complimentary side dishes. A hidden gem in the northridge area. If you are looking for good korean dumplings and fried chicken, this is the place to go. I've been to a lot of korean fried chicken places, but this place,, this place makes really good korean fried chicken. The crunch is different from what I used to eat. Their garlic soy is so finger licking good! I should say better than bb.q chicken and kyo chon. It's that good! Their beef dumpling soup is also very good. We also ordered the fried rice, this one too is good. My only complain is their fried rice portion is a little small. The next time we visit here again, we'll try their bun/siopao and fried or steam dumplings which is their specialty. The place is very cozy and clean. Staff are nice too.
