Double dragon
Lauren Y.

We arrived at 11am on a Saturday. There was no line, but they did seem a little short staffed so we probably ended up waiting about 5 minutes to be greeted before sitting down. I'm not sure if they were short staffed, or they just have less servers in the morning, but it seemed like there were only two waiters available. Both servers reminded us that it would be dinner pricing on the weekend. I actually did not realize that, so I appreciated the heads up. I was in a group of four. We started off by ordering some soft drinks, which came out quickly. Our waiter, Anthony, went straight to business taking our meat orders, and informed us that we can order up to four meats per order (this does not include food from the kitchen). All the dishes came out promptly - I was impressed with how quick the cooked kitchen items came out. I think the first thing we received was the riblets, even before the meat orders. We usually stick to the usual beef belly, pork belly, and brisket. However, this time, I tried the bulgogi fries and dragon shrimp from the kitchen. We typically come for lunch, so I'm not sure if these were new items, or if they've always just been on the dinner menu. Overall, I feel that the quality of food and service is fair for the price. Dinner prices were $31.95pp. The meat was flowing at a decent rate, so we did not feel like we were hungry and waiting on food to arrive.

Oh gen gen gen!!!!!! Honestly very disappointing visit this time around. We got seated at around 4:25 on a Wednesday, normally they come within the 5 minutes or right away to introduce their selves or and get our drinks. Our server (Donna) came to us 30 minutes later. on a Wednesday not a weekend A WEDNESDAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Also the menus in the pictures were extremely greasy like someone dipped them in a grease or something) Food was taking longer to come than usual, server drops off the food and leaves right away. To get her attention again we literally have to wait awhile to get her attention. She just passes us like we're not there. Old plate stays at the table for ever!! Barely get any refills.!!! Pan stays smoking for too long and no one to turn it off or switch it out because no one knows where she is or willing to help. Plastic pieces in our water (sorry it's hard to see or might not even be visible, but I'm telling you it was there) Don't get me wrong the food was great and delicious. But to beg for service and basically beg for our server to come help us, that just takes over everything. The place itself is so spacious and lots of other tables are there. But the thing is they weren't even that busy. The 1 star is for the gentleman server (didn't get his name) that was not even our server but was checking and helping us more than her. And he's the one that kept on following with us if we need anything. Thank you It's always the shitty service with this location that always disappoints. No customer ever has to beg for attention, or barely get what they ask for. Just asking for the bare minimum and they always fail to do so.

- one of the best priced AYCE KBBQ in the valley -lots of options even at the base level - solid dipping selection and sides -service is very attentive and got our food fast. -servers checked in on us often -Ambience is like if a restaurant was a club; ambient lighting, loud music and huge

Love the food. I go here once or twice a week to protein load. The price and selection are the best in the San Fernando Valley. I just wish the music weren't too loud. Servers are great; there are days they are understaffed, but they try their best to accommodate us.

Absolutely terrible service. The waitress Isabella completely ignored our table throughout our entire time there and would actively avoid eye contact with us so as to not interact with us. She would attend other tables, but never came up to us to see if we needed anything or to even swap the grill despite it smoking terribly. Items we ordered would take a long time to arrive and when they did, they were already cold and oily as if they had been left on the counter. I'd say we saw her three times counting the initial interaction with a 20+ minute gap between each time. Even at the end, we went over 15 minutes without a refill despite her saying she would get us one and had to go to the counter to pay as she never came back. Horrible service would not recommend.

Went here for lunch on a Wednesday.... As we walked in, there were two guys behind the counter, neither acknowledged us nor said hi or anything at-all. We waited for four minutes, just standing there, waiting for them. Then one looks at us and says 2? Follow me. He seats us, then the service is decent after that. The ordering and food came at a decent rate, not fast nor slow. The meat quality was WTF. The short plate looked like scrap meat, and when cooked, it was even tinier little pieces, almost looking like goldfish food. The pork jowl was ok, but it's slice thin. Other KBBQ places cut it thick, but most people do t understand how to properly slow cook it, so that's probably why they cut it so thin here, so it could cook fast. The garlic pork belly was the best. We cooked it nice and slow so that it would cook well and not burn. It was really good. The brisket is a joke too! The cut was bad, the slices are not sliced but rather, tiny leftover pieces. They are super lean too, no fat on them at-all. The fried stuff.... Fried chicken pieces were ok without the sauce, but ok doesn't cut it.... If everything is just ok or bad, it makes it not worth coming here to eat.. The Double Dragon (coconut shrimp and regular fried shrimp) was not great neither, something that I expected should be great! Definitely just the run of mill frozen stuff, not even the good stuff. One of the coconut shrimp was bad and soured too. The fish tastes like talapia, so that's not good, I would prefer a fish without a strong flavor. After leaving, your body and your clothes end up smelling better than the food you just ate. Btw, we only came here because Hanoo was not open yet, and I was willing to give Gen another chance. Gen has failed me once again, and probably for the last time!

My friends and I went to this place and had a wonderful experience. There was a great selection of meats and appetizers to choose from. & helped us throughout our time and was amazing! The playlist there was also really good.

Went there for my birthday a couple days ago and had such a great experience with Xavier as our server! He was sweet, funny, and super fast the whole night. Even with our big party, he made sure we felt taken care of and everything ran smoothly. Definitely appreciated his energy and service!

Landon was our server today and did an exceptional job! Great customer service with a smile!

Went here on a Monday. Not too busy but it is next to a gym and finding parking wasn't too too easy for a Monday. Once inside it did take quite a few minutes to be seated. But our waiter was very nice and informed us of how the menu worked he did convince us on upgrading to the premium menu as it came with free drinks. And I was excited to try out the beef tongue. After we ordered our drinks and ordered off the premium menu we were told there was no tongue. Wished this was mentioned before ordering. Other than that the waiters were very nice and food was very good! Very calm and not too loud of an ambience. Definitely returning :)

And share this gave spot of ours with our close family and friends. Service: 5 stars Service was excellent from start to finish -- attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming without feeling overbearing. Everything came out smoothly, and the staff made the whole meal feel easy and enjoyable. Great service definitely elevated the experience. And they never rush us to leave. Very polite imo's (Aunties)/ ajumeoni. Location/Parking/Ambiance: Lots of parking at the back of the restaurant. Surrounded by images from SKorea. Not too fancy, but not really needed. One sip in and suddenly I was sitting up straighter like the soup had personally corrected my posture. The rib eye is probably the move here. Juicy. Tender. Nicely seasoned. Just a very "let me not play with my food choices today" kind of order. It does not reinvent steak. It just shows up, looks good, does the job, and leaves no notes. Honestly. Very dependable. Very adult crush. The beef soup hit too. Deep flavor. Comforting. The kind of bowl that makes you pause mid-conversation and point at it like hold on. This is good. It had that slow-cooked taste that feels like somebody's auntie was in the back refusing to let the broth be mediocre. The staff is so lovely here. Sweet. Welcoming. On it. The bathroom was clean too, which is always a strong sign that the establishment fears God and respects the people. The vibe is easy and relaxed. Nothing extra. Just a good place to lock in, eat something hot, and mind your business in peace. it's giving... a lowkey neighborhood legend with no PR team and all the talent.

I love the homemade kimchi and takuan. I could eat both of these with some rice all day. We started with some noodle soup. Handcut noodles, beef dumplings and vegetables made for a comforting start to the meal. Then we got an order of dim sum. They give you quite a few pieces. They are stuffed with pork and Chinese and are absolutely delicious. We also got a half order of the Korean Fried Chicken. It was piping hot and very crispy. The kimchi steamed buns were next. They were large and very filling. Each bun was packed woth kimchi, pork and vegetables. We ended with sweet red bean steamed buns. These were also large and filling. A great way to finish our meal. A whole order of chicken is $28.99. We would definitely order again. Dumplings are handmade fresh daily. King Steamed Dumpling With Pork And Vegetables is huge, fluffy and bouncy. The taste of the filling was okay. The dim sum was a good size and looked pretty. Hard to pick up with chopsticks without the bottom breaking. The bottom was really delicate so using a spoon makes it easier. The Marinaded Beef $15.99 (half order) was perfect with rice. Complimentary small Sides: kimchi, pickled radish and cabbage salad. I really liked the pickled radish. This place is tucked away in a strip near the Northridge Promenade Shopping Center. Parking can be difficult during peak hours. Nyi had wonderful customer service.
