After many many years of coming here, this place just keeps getting better and better. The rolls are always spot on and the servers are always on top of things. Steven was our server tonight and he was very friendly and attentive. As usual, I'll be back soon.

This review is for their Togo self pick up Menu. They had a price increase and promotional decrease recently. An order of Salmon sushi was $3.99 with the 50% off original prices pick-up promo. The new price is $5.39 with the now 40% off original prices pick-up promo. I don't know if the 35% price increase justifies it. Especially they are already adding a mandatory 10% Gratuity at the end, which I'm fine with. What's interesting is their partner platform, Chow Now, also adds a 7.5% "Support Local Fee". In their statement it says " This fee goes to Cho Now and keeps us 100% commission fee for restaurants. That means they don't have to raise their manual prizes, so you save money on your orders. It's good for you, restaurants, and us." With that new pricing, there are abundant of choices for better quality sushi in the area. Besides, each pick-up experience at the facility is met with poor customer service, rude attitudes (even with that 10% mandatory Gratuity). They always make you wait longer than their promised pickup times. Honestly, I only came here because the price was better. Now I don't see how they're better competitor to the other better quality and service restaurants. Take care.

My absolute favorite sushi!!! Love it every time! I love that they added more to their menu since the last time I was here! Will definitely be back! Parking depends on how busy it is, but they have 3 lots and street parking

We visited Hikari Sushi Chatsworth after coming up for church in Simi Valley and decided to stop by in the evening. Although Hikari Sushi Chatsworth is an all-you-can-eat restaurant, we chose to order our food to go. The restaurant was extremely loud, and while it was clear that business was thriving, the noise level made it difficult to enjoy the space. We ordered ahead of time and simply went in to pick up our food, which made the process fairly smooth. Even at the door, their system seemed organized, but it felt like they could benefit from improving their to-go process to better accommodate customers who prefer that option. Once we got back to the hotel, we were able to enjoy the food in a more relaxed setting. The food itself was fresh, high quality, and really good overall. We were very pleased with what we ordered. That said, it was a bit disappointing that we couldn't fully experience the all-you-can-eat atmosphere due to how loud and crowded it was. The space felt jam-packed, and the sound of conversations echoed throughout the restaurant, creating an overwhelming environment. While it's great to see a business doing well and filled with laughter and energy, it might be time for them to consider expanding into a larger space to better accommodate their guests. Overall, the food was excellent, and we would definitely return, but likely for takeout again unless the dining environment becomes more comfortable.

We have been coming to Hikari for years, the all you can eat sushi here in Chatsworth is a classic and gets quite busy. The ambiance is bustling, always busy restaraunt full of indulging customers. Gratuity is included in the bill, a rule that carried over from Hikari's covid days which they survived gracefully with their buy one get one half off deal. I've been coming here before, during and after covid, this restaraunt will not go down! Our last visit was OK, the quality has gone down over the years however, their extensive and versatile menu makes sure there is something for everyone. I wish they would do half rolls (4pcs) for all you can eat, that way we can try more different rolls without getting super full. Good service, parking is a medium to large size that fills up quick during busy hours. Give the AYCE a try!

Went for a friend's grad dinner this past weekend and it was my first time eating AYCE sushi! We were stuffed! So many good options and pretty quick service so it felt like the food just kept coming and we didn't wait long at all. It was a large group of 7 and it was $50 (includes tip) each so it felt like we got our moneys worth. It was packed and now I know why! We all carpooled due to the tight parking situation but we found a spot pretty easily. The fish was decent quality and I tried a few seafood items like mussels and fish eggs that I've never had before. Not a fan of some of their sort of appetizer items like the edamame and seaweed salad. As a fan of seaweed salad, this one was drenched in some type of oil or vinegar that made it inedible at a point. Overall though it was a good experience.

    Do better!

HEADS UP!!!! service sucks because gratuity of 15% to 18% is already included in the bill. The servers don't really give a damn about anything because they're already getting their tip! First time here. I wanted to love this place based on reviews and photos looked pretty decent. Service sucks ass. Employees don't really care. They just clean up fast. Food takes forever. After ordering it took more than 15 -20 minutes to get our food. Miso did come out right away but everything else took forever. Order your rolls while you're eating that way it comes out quicker. Their sushi sucks. It's just really hit or miss not consistent at all. If one thing is good your other dish sucks. I don't understand why they have such a high rating. They put SO much rice and you can't alter it like "easy rice" because it's AYCE and they wanna fill you up quick. I ordered a side of eel sauce to eat with my food and it never came out even after reminding. Spicy garlic Edamame first came out room temp. They took it back came out hot but it tasted horrible. Just trust me do not order the edamame lol. It's mediocre to say the least. Bummer! Anyways, this place is horrible it's bottom of the list of the amazing sushi spots in San Fernando valley. If you guys want good sushi go to Studio City!!!

Food: Really Good! The quality was amazing and was not at all fishy. Nice fatty cuts and great taste. Service: Absolutely splendid. They snuck in small talk and it felt like being at a family member's house. I really appreciated the quality service. Ambiance: Standard but still pretty good. They had TV's on for entertainment, pretty good music, and good ac. Overall: A great choice and pretty good. The food and service is true quality and this place provides everything you could ask for. I really enjoyed my time here. 10/10

Our server Josh is the man! Two birthday celebrations had the entire place singing happy birthday together in harmony! And we watched that impossible walkoff 3 pointer by R.J. Barrett of the Raptors on their big screen! Great time at Hikari and highly recommended my Yelpers! And if you get Josh as your server, you got first class service! Thanks Hikari for a great time!

It's usually busy & sometimes it takes a while to get some service but this wasn't that bad this time. The sushi rolls were amazing & the agua chile sushi was delicious !

First time here and honestly not sure how I never realized this place is all-you-can-eat sushi. Going in, I didn't have super high expectations since AYCE usually means you're sacrificing quality a bit. That said, the food wasn't bad... just not great either. The biggest thing for me was the rice to fish ratio. If they cut the rice in half, it would make a huge difference across the rolls. It's very much an Americanized sushi spot with a menu to match, even labeling some items as "Mexican inspired," which kind of tells you what to expect. We ended up ordering a la carte and the prices were reasonable, but for what we spent, we probably could've had noticeably better quality fish at Sugarfish. On the plus side, we got really lucky with parking and only waited about 10 minutes on a Friday night, which was impressive. They seem to have a quick turnaround, and the staff were genuinely great and attentive. Overall, not a terrible experience, just not somewhere I'd go out of my way to return to.

It is not my style to write another review, for a restaurant that I have been to in less than a month. In this class, I have made very few exceptions. And I do so because it is warranted and it is vital, to get the word out, especially when you have made a significant discovery. So keeping these parameters in mind, you can read that I was at Hikari Sushi, weeks back, ordered their Sashimi Sampler and was really impressed. My review attests to that fact. Then my stomach bug was pestering me, to go back and evaluate them, this time, their AYCE. And that is what I did, and why I am quickly, writing again. Hikari Sushi in Chatsworth, is well known for their AYCE. I prepared for this encounter. Skipped breakfast. Not a big deal, because I generally eat only lunch and dinner, anyway. So was the hype real? Yes and more. Their fish cuts are thick and generous. In addition, they have a sprawling menu of exciting choices. Both their sushi and sashimi selections have bold slices, than I have experienced anywhere else. The sushi has more fish than rice, unlike other places. Their sashimi is vibrant, divine. The Mexican/Latin inspired sushi is a must. Their carpaccio (only one per person, for the AYCE), is unique with a Hikari twist. So you may ask, why am I writing. Here is the skinny. In my past posts, I have stated that another restaurant (in Northridge), was the best AYCE eatery in the Valley. Now, I humbly beg to differ. In my opinion, Hikari Sushi in Chatsworth, is the best Sushi restaurant in the Valley, AYCE included.

I dined here on Ash Wednesday which is officially the start of Lent season, the day when Catholics are supposed fasting and abstaining. I did the exact opposite by coming here and opted for the ayce sushi. Yes, I was a bad girl who went ahead and ordered about 10 different items in the first round. My favorite was the carpaccio. However, they allow only one of each kind per person. I also loved the sashimi salad and salmon skin salad. The street corn was also a fave of mine so I ordered it again on my second round. I didn't get to the third round because I was already full. Service was fast and friendly. They always check on you plus they pickup empty plates right away.

Egg roll. Not that attractive or good.

Do you serve imitation crab meat? Or real crab meat for the CA rolls? We mentioned our allergy concerns regarding wheat. And were told only fried items and sauces contained wheat. CA roll was ordered with no sauces and we had a reaction.

Hello, our crab meat is imitation crab and it contains wheat.

How much is week day ayce? And can one person in the group order a la carte?

Hello, Our Lunch price is $29.99 until 3pm Mon-Fri and dinner price $36.99 start at 3pm until closed and yes you can order a la carte and Ayce in same table

Hello! I wanted to ask if a-lot of dishes have sesame or peanuts? Is there an allergen menu? Im allergic to both and wanted to see if it would be possible to eat here or if theres too much of a risk. No worries if not. Thank you!

Hi, we didn't use any peanuts on our menu, but there is some menu that comes with sesame like sesame oil and sesame seeds but you can always notify our staff if you allergic with sesame and they can help you. Thank you

    Can we make reservations?

Not at all, it's first serve. On the weekends it's packed best bet to go at least 30 minutes early.

Is there an allergen menu available in store? I am unable to eat gluten and know that there is tamari available upon request but is there an easy guide on what rolls are or aren't prepared with non gluten containing ingredients?

Hi, since a lot of our menu items contain soy sauce based sauces, we would highly recommend you to order everything without sauce or sauce on the side. Thank you.

Do they currently offer outdoor dining?

No, not now. There is plenty seating inside though. In my opinion, it's the best sushi! You may want to check it out. :)

Does Hikari Sushi provide wasabi with take out orders for sushi or do you have to specifically request it? According to the person who answers the phone you have to specifically request wasabi if you want it included with your order?

Hi Elizabeth, we provide wasabi for take out orders. If you need extra, you can always ask for more!

Do they still offer discounted AYCE sushi before 3:00 PM on weekdays?

Lunch is cheaper than dinner during the week. On weekends, the price is the same all day.

I've read in reviews that seating is difficult to find. Does that apply at lunch time as well?

Pretty much, because this place is usually busy anytime day or night. Sometimes you'll get lucky to get a seat. Sometimes you'll need to wait, but it's worth it.

Do you take Apple pay or tap pay?

They do take Apple pay, but u would have to walk up to the front counter.

Is there a time limit for all you can eat sushi?

    I believe it's 2 hours

How much is price for adults snd kids for AYCE weekends?

    Adults 36 kids 18

What type of vinegar is used in the rice?

Hi, it's rice vinegar. Thank you!

    How much is ayce lunch?

$37.99 weekends dinner price only. Weekends no longer have lunch price. Plus 15% mandatory gratuity Monday to Friday has lunch price at $30.99 before 3 pm. Plus 15% mandatory…

I'm on a low FODMAP diet, does the rice in your rolls have any added sugar or rice vinegar?

Hi, our sushi rice has sugar and rice vinegar. Thank you!

Hi, are you gonna be open on xmas day?

Hi, we are closed on Christmas Day. Thank you!

    How much is the AYCE?

    https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/AKdWtxCx7AHfNcXdV3iKlw?select=CqZJok-hcCwzQ69lVENDXQ&utm_source=ishare&utm_content=photo

    Is there ayce at lunch?

There is AYCE at lunch. It's a few dollars cheaper than the dinner AYCE. The lunch AYCE ends at 3 PM when the dinner AYCE begins with a few more items not on the lunch AYCE. I forget the price though.

Is 15% of tip already included per person or just in total? For the AYCE

$37 is just the price for ayce. They add the tip on the bill in the end.

Can a party of 1 order all you can eat or is it 2 + people?

Hi, party of 1 can order all you can eat and is always welcomed. Thank you!

The salmon sushi from the Omakase was a little fishier than I'm used to, but all the other sashimi were great. Unfortunately, while the food was prepared traditionally, the overall execution was just average. The salad was heavily dressed, which overpowered the fresh ingredients. The aji nigiri lacked the delicate flavor and freshness I usually expect from quality Japanese sushi. Most of the dishes were simply okay, and the steak was noticeably tough and difficult to chew. What stood out most was the service. So I selected a hybrid, the Sashimi Salad (3 pcs tuna, 2 pcs each of salmon, yellowtail, albacore, and 1 pce shrimp on top of mixed greens with soy mustard dressing). While the fish cuts were small, they were soft, had texture and hugged the tongue well while eating. I asked for the dressing on the side. For me this is important, because eateries tend to soak salads in dressing and mask the real taste and diversity of the dish. Ginger (not over pickled) and wasabi is complementary and I went through two portions of Ginger fast, and requested more. For the third time, they brought it in a small packed crucible. LOL. They made me real happy. Another wonderful visit to have sashimi at Tomodachi, in Porter Ranch.

Yeah, of all the sushi place (that is not AYCE) that I have visited, this place probably the worse…read moreexperience you can get with your money. Came in on a Sunday, I guess it's a good thing the AC is working, because there would not be other redeeming quality in this place. I guess whatever food place you put in a place like the Porter Ranch plaza, don't bother, I tried Silverlake Ramen, and it was the same dissappointment. Why the one star you might ask? We tried the following: Dynamite - The dynamite appetizer, this was a jumbled mess of some shrimp, scallops and they put asparagus? It's an odd mix, and there was this heavy tangy taste to it. Chirashi - We ordered the Chirashi, and half the fish were frozen, you can see the ice still slathering on the body of the fish - The tuna was not fresh, and when you eat it, there was some slimy texture on the fish, mind you this was supposed to be fresh. - The shrimp has no taste whatsoever, it's like biting into a paper - The tamago (egg) was hella sweet, it almost tasted like a desert on your sushi bowl Blue crab roll - The roll was overflowing with rice, and it was just a goop of stuff, piled into the roll. The price? it's way overpriced, for a mediocre quality meal. 10/10 would not be coming back.
