Our server Josh is the man! Two birthday celebrations had the entire place singing happy birthday together in harmony! And we watched that impossible walkoff 3 pointer by R.J. Barrett of the Raptors on their big screen! Great time at Hikari and highly recommended my Yelpers! And if you get Josh as your server, you got first class service! Thanks Hikari for a great time!

First time here and honestly not sure how I never realized this place is all-you-can-eat sushi. Going in, I didn't have super high expectations since AYCE usually means you're sacrificing quality a bit. That said, the food wasn't bad... just not great either. The biggest thing for me was the rice to fish ratio. If they cut the rice in half, it would make a huge difference across the rolls. It's very much an Americanized sushi spot with a menu to match, even labeling some items as "Mexican inspired," which kind of tells you what to expect. We ended up ordering a la carte and the prices were reasonable, but for what we spent, we probably could've had noticeably better quality fish at Sugarfish. On the plus side, we got really lucky with parking and only waited about 10 minutes on a Friday night, which was impressive. They seem to have a quick turnaround, and the staff were genuinely great and attentive. Overall, not a terrible experience, just not somewhere I'd go out of my way to return to.

We Had A Fantastic Experience At Hikari Sushi. The All-You-Can-Eat Value Was Outstanding -- Fresh, Delicious Food And Generous Portions Throughout The Meal. Every Dish We Tried Was Flavorful And Nicely Prepared. What Really Made The Experience Stand Out Was The Customer Service. Nathan And Jess Were Absolutely Outstanding -- Friendly, Attentive, Fast, And Genuinely Welcoming From Start To Finish. They Went Above And Beyond To Make Sure Everything Was Perfect. Great Food, Great Service, And Excellent Value. We Will Definitely Be Back!

I dined here on Ash Wednesday which is officially the start of Lent season, the day when Catholics are supposed fasting and abstaining. I did the exact opposite by coming here and opted for the ayce sushi. Yes, I was a bad girl who went ahead and ordered about 10 different items in the first round. My favorite was the carpaccio. However, they allow only one of each kind per person. I also loved the sashimi salad and salmon skin salad. The street corn was also a fave of mine so I ordered it again on my second round. I didn't get to the third round because I was already full. Service was fast and friendly. They always check on you plus they pickup empty plates right away.

Took my parents to visit family in The Valley, and this is where the wanted to treat us to dinner. Is this the best? No. But, friendly service and small portions of rice when ordering sushi makes this a good place to visit. Also nice that the rolls are all different and don't all use the same base of California roll. And, they offer 50% off all takeout sushi and rolls!!!!! Next time, I'm just gonna offer to pickup takeout for them.

Hikari Sushi has a parking lot that is always packed. Therefore, the tight dining room has the hustle and bustle of happy Sushi customers. Their menu options are divided into two parts - AYCE and à la carte. The former is priced well, but does not include unlimited sashimi selections. I opted for the latter menu and chose the sashimi sampler. At $21.99 you get the miso soup and 2 pieces each of salmon, tuna, yellowtail and albacore. The soup was wonderful. When the main dish arrived, I was blown away. I must say, I have never seen such thick cuts of this core sashimi offering anywhere. At this reasonable price point, it is the place to go to, if you are a die hard Sashimi fan. It knocks out the competition. Everything makes sense. There is a reason this place has over 4k reviews, almost 4k photos, and averages 4.5 stars on Yelp. Once you eat here, you will easily understand why, both the inside and the parking lot, was mostly crowded, when you came here to dine.

Another amazing service we had, our server Nathan was courteous and helpful. Also very fast in bringing our food and drinks.

Always my favorite sushi spot! My fiance and I came in for the last time before our big day! There's one server that will always rush you and start bringing the check without verifying if you're done or not :/

So I came yesterday with my wife at around 8 and what weirds me out about this place is every single time I come here there is different people working and the service is decent they do come around the table a lot but let's get to the food the sushi yesterday was very rubbery and didn't taste fresh at all. I have been here multiple times and like they brought me stuff I didn't even order. I Ate it cause l didn't know but when they went and crossed out all the sushi like I ordered it and I asked our waiter the rolls we didn't receive it was like 8 plates of sashimi which they let me take home but the sushi quality yesterday was like 2 stars. The ambiance is always good cause they are packed overall the sushi is good but yesterday it was dry they were skimpy on the sauce as well.

One of the better AYCE sushi spots for the QUALITY:PRICE ratio. A local favorite ! Fast service and modern youthful vibes. I would just skip the albacore next time. I'd stick with salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. The $30 at lunch can't be beat!

    Collin L.

The food quality is above par, and Jess, our server, was amazing! So attentive! I've eaten at many different sushi places, but their fresh water eel sushi is the best!

This is my second time coming here and honestly I have not been disappointed! Food and presentation were great ! I came here on Monday after spring break so it was a great dinner to end the night. The ambiance was cozy , friendly , and fun with the birthday celebration . The service was amazing as well ! Shout out to David for serving us and ending our night well :) . Definitely would recommend for friends and family !

Always on the hunt for AYCE sushi so I had to try this place in chatsworth. I like the variety of appetizers and rolls. I like their Mexican inspired options as well. The aguachile sushi was so good! The only downside is that when ordering their AYCE, the rolls are full size. I've been to other AYCE restaurants where they serve smaller portions of sushi rolls. This allows the customers to try more options.

Do you serve imitation crab meat? Or real crab meat for the CA rolls? We mentioned our allergy concerns regarding wheat. And were told only fried items and sauces contained wheat. CA roll was ordered with no sauces and we had a reaction.

Hello, our crab meat is imitation crab and it contains wheat.

How much is week day ayce? And can one person in the group order a la carte?

Hello, Our Lunch price is $29.99 until 3pm Mon-Fri and dinner price $36.99 start at 3pm until closed and yes you can order a la carte and Ayce in same table

Hello! I wanted to ask if a-lot of dishes have sesame or peanuts? Is there an allergen menu? Im allergic to both and wanted to see if it would be possible to eat here or if theres too much of a risk. No worries if not. Thank you!

Hi, we didn't use any peanuts on our menu, but there is some menu that comes with sesame like sesame oil and sesame seeds but you can always notify our staff if you allergic with sesame and they can help you. Thank you

    Can we make reservations?

Not at all, it's first serve. On the weekends it's packed best bet to go at least 30 minutes early.

Is there an allergen menu available in store? I am unable to eat gluten and know that there is tamari available upon request but is there an easy guide on what rolls are or aren't prepared with non gluten containing ingredients?

Hi, since a lot of our menu items contain soy sauce based sauces, we would highly recommend you to order everything without sauce or sauce on the side. Thank you.

Do they currently offer outdoor dining?

No, not now. There is plenty seating inside though. In my opinion, it's the best sushi! You may want to check it out. :)

Does Hikari Sushi provide wasabi with take out orders for sushi or do you have to specifically request it? According to the person who answers the phone you have to specifically request wasabi if you want it included with your order?

Hi Elizabeth, we provide wasabi for take out orders. If you need extra, you can always ask for more!

Do they still offer discounted AYCE sushi before 3:00 PM on weekdays?

Lunch is cheaper than dinner during the week. On weekends, the price is the same all day.

I've read in reviews that seating is difficult to find. Does that apply at lunch time as well?

Pretty much, because this place is usually busy anytime day or night. Sometimes you'll get lucky to get a seat. Sometimes you'll need to wait, but it's worth it.

Do you take Apple pay or tap pay?

They do take Apple pay, but u would have to walk up to the front counter.

Is there a time limit for all you can eat sushi?

    I believe it's 2 hours

How much is price for adults snd kids for AYCE weekends?

I'm on a low FODMAP diet, does the rice in your rolls have any added sugar or rice vinegar?

Hi, our sushi rice has sugar and rice vinegar. Thank you!

Hi, are you gonna be open on xmas day?

Hi, we are closed on Christmas Day. Thank you!

    How much is the AYCE?

    https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/AKdWtxCx7AHfNcXdV3iKlw?select=CqZJok-hcCwzQ69lVENDXQ&utm_source=ishare&utm_content=photo

    Is there ayce at lunch?

There is AYCE at lunch. It's a few dollars cheaper than the dinner AYCE. The lunch AYCE ends at 3 PM when the dinner AYCE begins with a few more items not on the lunch AYCE. I forget the price though.

Is 15% of tip already included per person or just in total? For the AYCE

$37 is just the price for ayce. They add the tip on the bill in the end.

Can a party of 1 order all you can eat or is it 2 + people?

Hi, party of 1 can order all you can eat and is always welcomed. Thank you!

It depends what you are in the mood for, and if you are not picky, you will find it, or something close to it, at this place. I come here to eat the basics, fresh fish, preferably sashimi style. Generally always start with their miso soup. Here it is priced at $2, is served piping hot (just the way I like it), has high quality and hits all the right notes to satisfy the nose and palate. For me, this sets the tone for lunch or dinner. This time it was the latter and I was in the mood for sashimi (of course), but also for a salad. So I selected a hybrid, the Sashimi Salad (3 pcs tuna, 2 pcs each of salmon, yellowtail, albacore, and 1 pce shrimp on top of mixed greens with soy mustard dressing). While the fish cuts were small, they were soft, had texture and hugged the tongue well while eating. I asked for the dressing on the side. For me this is important, because eateries tend to soak salads in dressing and mask the real taste and diversity of the dish. Ginger (not over pickled) and wasabi is complementary and I went through two portions of Ginger fast, and requested more. For the third time, they brought it in a small packed crucible. LOL. They made me real happy. Another wonderful visit to have sashimi at Tomodachi, in Porter Ranch.

My personal favorite is the Spicy Miso Ramen. it's consistently flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The appetizers are just as impressive too. The Chicken Karaage is crispy and juicy, the edamame is always a solid choice, and the seaweed-flavored fries are surprisingly addictive. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and makes the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I keep coming back to.

Came in with a very hungry toddler and husband and left with unzipped pants and tons of leftovers. The complimentary bean sprouts at the beginning were the perfect first bite to start off the night. Then we tried the tonkotsu ramen, the chicken katsu curry over rice, the karaage chicken, and the mixed tempura. Everything fried to perfection, broth rich without being too fatty, curry seasoned right, and tempura veggies crisp and ripe - iykyk. The decor is great. Felt like I was in a little shop somewhere in Ramen Street. Kiddo loved all the maneki neko statues. We lucked out and got the booth - win! And they had kid-friendly training chopsticks, which was such a nice touch! Mom approved. The service is SUPER friendly without being overbearing, and everything is quick and efficient. So happy we stumbled across this place while walking at CSUN - we'll definitely be back!
