This review has been sitting in my drafts for a while but I really enjoyed this spot and wanted to share! I'd say five stars for great taste and a super kind, friendly owner. I came here on a lunch break and got two handrolls, one spicy yellowtail and one baked crab. There was nobody else in the restaurant, which was sort of expected for it only being 4:30. Lots of tables, nice music playing. The fish tasted fresh and the spicy mayo was quite yummy, though there was a lot of it. Was surprised that they did their baked crab on seaweed instead of soy paper. The seaweed got pretty soggy, but it tasted good. Subtracted a star because I do think this place is a little too pricy - though if I could say 4.5 stars I would . I know sushi is expensive but there isn't much that sets it apart to justify the price tag. My two handrolls came out to just under $30 after tax and tip. One was $10 and the other was $12, and they were regular-sized handrolls; good but nothing incredible. Next time I'll probably get a chirashi bowl, which is $20.

Hole in the wall sushi spot w/ a limited menu and parking. Decent pace of people (half the tables) were seated at around 7PM on a Thursday. Food was alright. - Chirashi w/ Miso (menu stated $20, but I got charged $24 which I didn't notice until after leaving): Decent cuts of sashimi on a bed of rice that was a little too soaked with vinegar. It still tasted yummy and the texture was nice with a slight chew, but towards the bottom it was too tart. The tuna didn't taste as fresh as the other cuts of fish. Miso soup was grainier than I would've liked but tasty. - Salmon Carpaccio ($18): Nice presentation but salmon wasn't very fresh imo and the ponzu sauce was cloudy. Not my favorite. Service was friendly and checked up on us often. Inside was relatively clean, but I was a little put off by how the sushi chef wasn't wearing gloves. I wasn't paying attention the whole time, but I can only noticed him washing his hands once in between the 4 parties that were served. I'm not too confident in the quality of fish here, but I do think their specialty rolls have more promise based on presentation and hopefully taste.

Always delicious and fresh! And now we've discovered this dangerously refreshing Japanese cocktail

Came back for another delicious meal! Brought my son this time and he was thrilled with their veggie tempura roll. The service continues to be outstanding; they remembered me and what I had tried previously. Based on that, they made recommendations for our meal today and they were right - stunning! We repeated the Jam roll (Serranos were spicy today!), and tried the recommended Marina roll - so good with the crunchy onions on top! Already looking forward to our next visit.

This is a hidden local gem. I consider myself a sushi snob so was reluctant to try this place, however I am SO glad I gave it a go. The owner, Tanya is the absolute best she is hands on with every table and is pure joy. The fish and food could not be more fresh I was blown away. So unassuming and off of Saticoy and winnetka I just did not expect what I found in this local hole in the wall spot. If you are looking for amazing fresh sushi in a cozy friendly little spot do not hesitate ( like I did) this place gets all the stars!!

At a summer chilly mid day on weekend me and my girlfriend were walking in the town where are fashion stores and on the side street we ordered take away sushi. I am allergic to avocado so I took two roles of Tempura. My girlfriend took the classic role. We set at garden and enjoy the moment. The best as yet we took bus to old town sea garden and had a romantic afternoon at my apartment

The food however is beyond phenomenal. This may be one of the best meals I've had in all of the valley. I tried the Tapsilog bowl which had a perfectly cooked egg, savory Garlic rice and a great helping of marinated Angus beef. I'd love to know what they use for the Beef Marinade because it was out of this world. A flavor explosion the likes of which I have never tasted. One bite and I started devouring the bowl and had to force myself to slow down and chew. I also tried their Pork bun which was delicious. A perfectly made bun with delicious cooked Pork belly and an excellent pairing of sauces and toppings. I've had pork buns from other places and the bun has always ended up being too sweet and ruined the flavors for me, this was NOT the case. This Pork bun was in a word, Delectable. The staff was very friendly and poliete. My one issue is the price is on the higher side but with as good as everything tasted I'm willing to splurge to give my mouth a taste of Nirvana.

We decided on Oi Asian which had great reviews, so why not. First off, let me say that there is plenty of parking, however, the parks are extremely narrow for some reason. It was a struggle to get in and out of the car due to the width of the parks smh. Anyway, once we got inside, there wasn't anyway at the register and after standing there for a while, I noticed the kiosk so unplaced my order there. There were only two cooks in the back. We placed our order and sat down. The place was clean but everything seemed like it was do it yourself. The boys were thirsty and there wasn't an option for water on the kiosk, so I called one of the cooks from the back to pay for a water and he rang me up. It was pretty rough in there. At one point I had to get up and grab my own fork by reaching over the counter. Once our food was ready, one of the cooks brought our food and I wasn't really feeling my meal, which was the dynamite crawfish bowl. I didn't like the sauce it came with. I just picked at the crawfish and left the rest. As for the boys meal, the fried chicken adobo bowl was REALLY good! I ended up eating theirs because my oldest son didn't like it, which was great for me lol. My youngest and I tore that bowl up. Anyway, the verdict is, I may search around for other options but I know that if I can't find anything else I can always grab a chicken adobo bowl but the service was pretty nonexistent. That chicken adobo bowl saved it. OOO 3 out of 5

Service was friendly both times and the food came out surprisingly fast. I ordered the pad kee mao with extra chicken (only added extra chicken on my second visit) and overall thought it was very good. The chicken honestly stood out the most to me because it was actually tender and soft instead of rubbery or overcooked like you sometimes get from other Thai restaurants (especially "hole-in-the-wall" places). The noodles had a really nice texture too. Soft without being mushy, and the whole dish tasted fresh and flavorful throughout with no bland bites. The vegetables were cooked well and still had a bit of crispness to them, especially the carrots, bell peppers, onions, and string beans. Everything tasted fragrant and balanced with a light tanginess from the basil. I also appreciated that the dish wasn't greasy or overly oily, which can easily happen with drunken noodles. I got the mango iced tea at 25% sweetness and thought it was great. Refreshing and not overpoweringly sweet. My only small complaint is that the portion felt a little smaller the second time I came, even after adding extra chicken, and in general, the menu leans a bit pricey. Still, the quality of the ingredients and the consistency between visits makes up for a lot of that. Overall, really solid Thai food with fresh flavors and a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely a place I'd keep coming back to.

I used to be a regular here years ago, so when I was in the neighborhood I decided to stop in for a little nostalgia. I ordered the drunken noodles with beef and the chicken satay. The noodles were just as bold and flavorful as I remembered; chewy, packed with spice, and not shy about the heat if you ask for spicy. If you can't handle a serious kick, consider dialing it down. The beef was a letdown. It was so dry I couldn't finish it, and I immediately wished I had gone with chicken instead. The chicken satay, on the other hand, was tender and tasty, though the recipe seems a bit different than it used to be. Not quite the same magic I remember, but still a solid Thai spot that delivers real flavor and heat .
