For July 4th, I was really craving some good BBQ and came across this place on Google while searching for some spots. I normally love to do stuff like picnics at the park or grilling at the beach, but since I have such a damaged, boring, broken,devided and dysfunctional family, my son and I just decided to come have lunch together. Turns out we were overly dressed for such a casual spot. Established in 1996, this place is clean and average sized. We walked in around 3:30pm on Saturday. There are plenty of tables available for dine-in, or you can place a to-go order as many people were doing. We saw so many people come in to pick up their orders while we were eating. They offer various BBQ options such as pork ribs, beef ribs, tri-tip, and chicken. They even have different combo packages for groups of 2-20, and even more if you wanted to do catering. The prices are very affordable and the portions are generous. Ashley took our order and Iris brought it out to our table. They were both pleasant and helpful. The customer service was great. My son and I both opted for the BBQ Pork Rib lunch special, which comes with a Half Rack of Ribs, 1 dinner roll, and 1 side ($12.95). I got mine with Spanish rice and an additional side of coleslaw (+$2.95). My son chose a garden salad as his side and we also got a medium fountain drink to share ($2.60). Our entire total with tip came out to $39.23. A great deal! We even got an extra rib on our rack, which was a nice surprise. The ribs were not too saucy and not too greasy, just how I like it. They have self-serve station of bottles of extra BBQ sauce (regular and spicy) if you want more. There are also condiment packets like ketchup, mustard, etc...The meat itself was tender and flavorful, and I liked both of my sides. They were a bit small, but altogether a pretty hefty and mighty meal. The temperature of the food was not hot and lukewarm at best. They have one very clean bathroom with all the essentials fully stocked in there. They also have a parking lot with ample amount of spots. There was a TV playing the World Cup way too loud and it was really annoying and distracting. We had a good enough experience here, but I don't think I'll return. Also, they had ran out of wet naps, which is unfortunate for a BBQ restaurant on the 4th of July. They also don't have any dessert/coffee, which I think would be great to have here! I also noticed they put up their "closed" signs on the doors at 4:30, 30 minutes before their closing time. 2 stars for their delicious sweet but savory baked beans and cheesy Mac n cheese. Negative 3 stars for their dried beyond dried, chicken, ribs and tri-tip. All 3 meats were so rubbery, dry, hard and overly cooked. So disappointing to pay almost $400 for food people couldn't enjoy. Service was horrible too. The two girls in the front were cool girls just talking to the guys in the back and didnt even pay attention to the customers coming in. They handed me all our trays then walked away. They didn't even offer to help me, nor condiments, utensil, napkins, plates or anything. They have indoor seating. Pretty simple place. We ordered to-go. The beans, coleslaw and potato salad were good. The Tri-Tip came with au jus sauce. Delicious together. The ribs were delicious. They also have a really spicy BBQ sauce. The rolls were okay. read more

It had been far too long when I arrived at Rosie's in August to pick up some Tri-Tip to go. Today I was HUN-GRY, so I also ordered the pork rib lunch special. MAN! Requested the beef on the rare side, since I had a bit of a drive and this was meant for dinner, but when I got home, I couldn't help myself and tore into that perfect end tip before sitting down with my ribs. It was SO YUM!!! 20 mins later, I was in a satiated BBQ coma! 20 minutes after that, I was thinking about that Tri-Tip dinner! lol I simply MUST remember to swing by for Rosie's awesome Trip-Tip more often. I can't make it this good at home and the price is so down right fair - why should I try?!? An ala carte 1/2 Tri-Tip, with current beef surcharge, is $21.25 as of Aug 2025. First time I ordered from here it was great! I got a full slab of ribs and bbq beans. The ribs were so tender and they included a side of bbq sauce which was great to dip the ribs into. So I ordered again today, my friend was here and she wanted ribs so she ordered a half slab and I ordered a full slab. The food comes and first I couldn't even tell which container had the full slab, both looked like half slabs, the ribs were so dry and there was no bbq sauce. So dry, and such a bummer with no bbq sauce, spent $25 for a full slab I can't even eat. Also got The shredded onions which were only ok, they are super dry, not sure if they are suppose to come with a dipping sauce or not but they didn't. Such a bummer cause the first time was soooo freaking good, but now after spending a total of $60 something on these dry ribs with no sauce, I won't be able to justify ordering from them again. read more

This was the worst food I could have ordered!!! The potato Salad was like someone dumped too much salt into it then I thought I could save it by mixing it with my macaroni salad the extra they charged me 2.50 for but no they were both so salty it made me sick to my stomach and I couldn't eat either of them then the ribs were so over cooked and burnt and dried out and they only gave me one sauce so it was still so dry you people should be ashamed of yourselves to let me walk out with that food it really was not eatable!!!! The food would have to have been off the charts to take a trip again. The service was horrible. I placed my order the day before so it would be ready. It wasn't and I waited another 30 minutes. What a delicious surprise! We've been driving by without stopping for a long time. We read reviews prior to going and we were prepared for "average". What we got was exceptional! Beef ribs, spare ribs, tri tip sandwich, cole slaw, beans, and Mac and cheese! All of the meat was outstanding! Tender, delicious, and a nice amount of smoke. The slaw and mac and cheese were also outstanding. The beans were "fine", but nothing to really talk about. They have a Nashville hot chicken sandwich to try next! The service was fast and friendly! The place lends itself to the idea of a dive rib joint. Nothing fancy at all...wooden tables and chairs and a counter and self-serve drinks and utensils and BBQ sauce. We will definitely go back. Came here after work with a co worker/friend and he and I thought the woman behind the counter wasn't friendly and didn't make eye contact. Our food came out quickly but we were the only ones in there and once again the parking lot was packed with cars. Burger: dry with no flavor. Pulled Pork: dry with no flavor. Fries: too much seasoning and some stuff as a rock. Rosie's BBQ Kitchen has been solid when it comes to placing a catering order. Each time I've done catering, I can depend on Scott to get my order in within a 1-2 day notice! This is definitely a neighborhood mom-and-pop BBQ joint. The restaurant is located in Chatsworth near the intersection of Topanga Canyon Blvd/Devonshire. Parking is easy since there is a small (but free) lot. From the outside it may look closed but they are definitely open for business. If you plan to stop by, my personal favorite is the baby back ribs because of how juicy and tender the meat is. Also I've never been a fan of coleslaw but Rosie's has changed my mind! read more

Tri trip, nothing special kind of dry and cold, bbq sauce saved it 3/5 Mac and cheese, not that cheesy tasting and overcooked noodles 3/5 Potato salad, way to much mayo, just tasted like mayo and potatoes 2/5 Garlic butter roll, very dry need more butter maybe and salt 2/5 Caesar salad, I wouldn't even consider this a Caesar salad, it's just croutons (stale tasting) and lettuce with a ranch type dressing. If it had better croutons, actually Caesar dressing, and Parmesan it would actually be good. 1/5 Overall, I don't think I would come back. Reliable, affordable and yummy! Friendly service every visit. Tri-tip with mashed potatoes, and Mac n cheese are the usually go-to. The rolls are fluffy and warm. The first time we pulled up in the night, the outer appearance was a bit worrisome (I may watch too many horror films of late and have an active imagination...) To improve this place, they should incorporate some flavor! I've never been to a barbecue place where you don't get the smoke flavor along with the barbecue or barbecue sauce that they use even the sauce they didn't have flavor. Haven't been here in years because it wasn't very good last time about six years ago. Decided to try it again. Ordered beef ribs with slaw to go. The ribs were so overcooked and dried up that I'm pretty sure they were leftovers from a day or two ago! And this was about 2:00 pm! If I worked there, I'd be embarrassed to send serve them. Not my style. Picked up a full rack of babyback ribs and shreddies. The shreddies were great but didn't enjoy the ribs. It was mostly burnt with lots of fatty parts. A double whammy for me. I try to avoid burnt meat as much as I can but if you cut out the charred meat, you won't have anything to eat. If you are into charred meat, this is your place. Just not my cup of tea. read more

I ordered out from this restaurant tonight and I was really impressed! For around $30 you get a large portion of tri tip (and a ju), two side which I got Mac and cheese and mash potatoes and gravy and 3 garlic roll and it was delicious. I thought I Like this place, But today 8/16/25 I watched two flies walk around feed off the nipples of the Bbq squeeze bottles, Seven in total. First time going to this location since the Corbin Rosie's closed. First thing, they didn't answer their phones. Called a couple times and nothing. So I tried ordering online and it went through. When I got there, they were confused and had to figure out where my order was, I guess because of the multiple apps used for ordering. Get the ribs after waiting another 10 minutes or so and go home. I was kinda disappointed in the ribs, not that much meat and wasn't as good as I remember them being. One was really burnt. I think I'll pass on this location from now on, and just think of Rosie's as another valley staple that's gone. read more
