Chicken Plate, Veggies, Fried Rice, White Sauce
Abby S.

Stopped by after the gym with a friend and this place really hit the spot! The fried rice is flavorful and the veggies were surprisingly the best part. The chicken was okay, but with the white sauce, it made the whole plate way better! Highly recommend the garlic white sauce! The owner was really kind, went out of his way to make us an off-menu creamy sesame sauce. There's a small table + few chairs if you want to eat there, which we did. Only heads-up: it's around a quiet business park, so at night it feels a little sketchy. But overall, food was solid (8/10) and the service made it a 10/10.

I have been looking for a Hibachi in the SFV to book for my husband's birthday dinner and came across this truck. I sampled it last week and let me tell you... it was delicious and the proteins were great quality. -Fried rice was cooked perfectly w/ fresh veggies, not mushy. -Filet Mignon was tender and flavorful; medium cook. -Scallops were fresh and cooked to perfection. Generous with sauces and plate was portioned nicely. 10/10 recommend.

Large portions, fresh food and super yummy. Also great customer service I will be back !

Portions were super generous! We got the combo plates - steak and shrimp, and chicken and salmon. The steak was really soft and tender, and everything had great flavor. Cheers to the chef!

Salmon and ny strip

I was looking for a nearby hibachi place as everything is so far from me and deep in the valley. I found this place and it was so cool to know that the owner used to work at something fishy for 40 years. I love something special so I knew it was gonna be good. They give you such a humongous full container of rice. You literally share it with five people. The salmon was absolutely amazing. I loved it so much! The veggies were cooked well. The New York strip didn't have much flavor and it was a little tough. Maybe because I got it medium. Definitely go medium guys! The prices are great. Only thing missing was I want more of that garlic flavor.

She took the time to personally walk us through the menu, make recommendations, and made us feel genuinely welcomed despite how busy they were. The Black Garlic Ramen was outstanding -- rich, flavorful, comforting, and easily one of the best bowls of ramen we've had in a long time. The Chicken Curry was also fantastic with deep flavor and the perfect level of comfort-food satisfaction. We also tried the Spicy Garlic Edamame. I personally would've loved a little more spice and extra garlic punch, but it was still very good and a great starter. The service, hospitality, and food all came together for such a memorable experience. You can tell this place truly cares about both the food and the people walking through the door. We'll definitely be back.

Service was relatively quick, and they have a decent variety of sushi rolls, hand rolls, and sashimi to choose from. I opted for the 5 piece omakase that comes with free miso soup, and an order of the Albacore Delight. The miso was super hot! I burnt my tongue when I went to try it right away, so I may have lost a few taste buds in the process. I also ordered hot green tea - not nearly as hot as the miso, but an acceptable temperature, and a 12 oz Sapporo, which came with a chilled glass. Overall I enjoyed the sashimi, and sushi I ate. The salmon sushi from the Omakase was a little fishier than I'm used to, but all the other sashimi were great. The Albacore delight is almost citrusy and comes with a dash of hot sauce or some other chili-like sauce on top, and was perfection!

Glad this place exists because I can get my sushi fix and not have to drive far.

It depends what you are in the mood for, and if you are not picky, you will find it, or something close to it, at this place. I come here to eat the basics, fresh fish, preferably sashimi style. Generally always start with their miso soup. Here it is priced at $2, is served piping hot (just the way I like it), has high quality and hits all the right notes to satisfy the nose and palate. For me, this sets the tone for lunch or dinner. This time it was the latter and I was in the mood for sashimi (of course), but also for a salad. So I selected a hybrid, the Sashimi Salad (3 pcs tuna, 2 pcs each of salmon, yellowtail, albacore, and 1 pce shrimp on top of mixed greens with soy mustard dressing). While the fish cuts were small, they were soft, had texture and hugged the tongue well while eating. I asked for the dressing on the side. For me this is important, because eateries tend to soak salads in dressing and mask the real taste and diversity of the dish. Ginger (not over pickled) and wasabi is complementary and I went through two portions of Ginger fast, and requested more. For the third time, they brought it in a small packed crucible. LOL. They made me real happy. Another wonderful visit to have sashimi at Tomodachi, in Porter Ranch.

More concerning, the waitress told my toddler that he could eat the purple orchid flower that was placed on the plate as decoration. My son then tried to eat it and became upset when I had to take it away. After looking into it, I learned that these decorative flowers are typically not meant to be eaten and may even contain chemicals. No restaurant staff member should ever tell someone else's child that it's okay to eat something from the table without checking with the parent first. That is completely inappropriate and unacceptable. Overall, this was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience.
