    Filet mignon plate

I tried this place a couple days ago and it will for sure be my new go to. I have no complaints the steak was good and tender rice veggies everything was great! The only thing I didn't like was the white sauce they give on the side, but that's just my preference I highly recommend giving them a try you won't be disappointed! Also not bad for the price I paid $26 for such a huge portion

Stopped by after the gym with a friend and this place really hit the spot! The fried rice is flavorful and the veggies were surprisingly the best part. The chicken was okay, but with the white sauce, it made the whole plate way better! Highly recommend the garlic white sauce! The owner was really kind, went out of his way to make us an off-menu creamy sesame sauce. There's a small table + few chairs if you want to eat there, which we did. Only heads-up: it's around a quiet business park, so at night it feels a little sketchy. But overall, food was solid (8/10) and the service made it a 10/10.

I have been looking for a Hibachi in the SFV to book for my husband's birthday dinner and came across this truck. I sampled it last week and let me tell you... it was delicious and the proteins were great quality. -Fried rice was cooked perfectly w/ fresh veggies, not mushy. -Filet Mignon was tender and flavorful; medium cook. -Scallops were fresh and cooked to perfection. Generous with sauces and plate was portioned nicely. 10/10 recommend.

Amazing place food is more than 5 stars! Best hibachi in the area. This is where you want to be. Food is always fresh.

Portions were super generous! We got the combo plates - steak and shrimp, and chicken and salmon. The steak was really soft and tender, and everything had great flavor. Cheers to the chef!

I was looking for a nearby hibachi place as everything is so far from me and deep in the valley. I found this place and it was so cool to know that the owner used to work at something fishy for 40 years. I love something special so I knew it was gonna be good. They give you such a humongous full container of rice. You literally share it with five people. The salmon was absolutely amazing. I loved it so much! The veggies were cooked well. The New York strip didn't have much flavor and it was a little tough. Maybe because I got it medium. Definitely go medium guys! The prices are great. Only thing missing was I want more of that garlic flavor.

Large portions, fresh food and super yummy. Also great customer service I will be back !

It is an interesting and welcoming restaurant and has a great atmosphere. I also love how the location has Japanese and Thai artwork all over. 4/5 Staff: The owner is super kind and helpful. I also thought that her staff was nice and attentive. 5/5 Price: I feel that the food is well priced and competitive. The serving portions meet my expectations and of course I will always say I want more, but that is unrealistic. 4.5/5 Food: Tonkatsu Chicken Curry Rice: Absolutely the dish I miss from Japan and this has that comforting dish vibe I used to have at home or in Japan. I highly recommend and love how this makes me warm and happy after eating it. 5/5 sorry no photo but my favorite dish Teriyaki Chicken Domburi: Simple, delicious, and just what I wanted. 4/5 Vegetable Tempura: Very light, delicious, and it is what it says it is. This is a place I recommend you stop here when you want some well done japanese dishes to cheer you up or need a heart filling dish. My Score: 4.5/5 Yelp Score: 5/5

Unfortunately, while the food was prepared traditionally, the overall execution was just average. The salad was heavily dressed, which overpowered the fresh ingredients. The aji nigiri lacked the delicate flavor and freshness I usually expect from quality Japanese sushi. The tempura was also disappointing, as it wasn't light and crispy the way authentic Japanese restaurants typically serve it. Most of the dishes were simply okay, and the steak was noticeably tough and difficult to chew. What stood out most was the service. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming throughout the meal. Their excellent hospitality made the dining experience more enjoyable despite the food falling short of expectations. Overall, this is a restaurant with authentic Japanese roots and outstanding service, but the food itself was average and did not quite deliver the refined flavors and textures I was hoping for.

I was fighting a pretty rough hangover, and this bowl honestly brought me back to life. The broth was rich, full of flavor, and the spice level was just right. It had a nice kick without overpowering everything else. The first time I came here, I ordered the chicken karaage. Super crispy, juicy, and easily one of my favorite things on the menu. The restaurant itself is pretty small and cozy, which I liked. One thing to know is that the parking lot entrance is easy to miss if you're driving by on the main street. It's much easier to come in from the little street behind the plaza. If you're in the mood for ramen, I'd absolutely recommend giving Maru a try.

I don't eat pork, but I'm okay with pork broth, so I asked if I could substitute the pork chashu for chicken. What I received instead was popcorn chicken, which was unexpected and not at all what I had in mind. There was no communication that this would be the substitute, which made it even more frustrating. On top of that, I was still charged for it without any clarification beforehand. Transparency goes a long way, especially when making substitutions. Overall, between the lackluster flavor and the confusing substitution, it just didn't feel like a thoughtful or well-executed experience.

It depends what you are in the mood for, and if you are not picky, you will find it, or something close to it, at this place. I come here to eat the basics, fresh fish, preferably sashimi style. Generally always start with their miso soup. Here it is priced at $2, is served piping hot (just the way I like it), has high quality and hits all the right notes to satisfy the nose and palate. For me, this sets the tone for lunch or dinner. This time it was the latter and I was in the mood for sashimi (of course), but also for a salad. So I selected a hybrid, the Sashimi Salad (3 pcs tuna, 2 pcs each of salmon, yellowtail, albacore, and 1 pce shrimp on top of mixed greens with soy mustard dressing). While the fish cuts were small, they were soft, had texture and hugged the tongue well while eating. I asked for the dressing on the side. For me this is important, because eateries tend to soak salads in dressing and mask the real taste and diversity of the dish. Ginger (not over pickled) and wasabi is complementary and I went through two portions of Ginger fast, and requested more. For the third time, they brought it in a small packed crucible. LOL. They made me real happy. Another wonderful visit to have sashimi at Tomodachi, in Porter Ranch.

Came in on a Sunday, I guess it's a good thing the AC is working, because there would not be other redeeming quality in this place. I guess whatever food place you put in a place like the Porter Ranch plaza, don't bother, I tried Silverlake Ramen, and it was the same dissappointment. Why the one star you might ask? We tried the following: Dynamite - The dynamite appetizer, this was a jumbled mess of some shrimp, scallops and they put asparagus? It's an odd mix, and there was this heavy tangy taste to it. Chirashi - We ordered the Chirashi, and half the fish were frozen, you can see the ice still slathering on the body of the fish - The tuna was not fresh, and when you eat it, there was some slimy texture on the fish, mind you this was supposed to be fresh. - The shrimp has no taste whatsoever, it's like biting into a paper - The tamago (egg) was hella sweet, it almost tasted like a desert on your sushi bowl Blue crab roll - The roll was overflowing with rice, and it was just a goop of stuff, piled into the roll. The price? it's way overpriced, for a mediocre quality meal. 10/10 would not be coming back.
