The flavors were on point and each protein was tender and juicy. The tempura on the side was such a great addition, especially the onion ring (my favorite!). SO good! Food is delicious. Customer service is really nice. Food is ready when said. I usually get combo #3 which is two chicken breast kebab skewers and instead of rice I ask for it over steamed vegetables and double salad on the side in a separate container (really like the dressing too). Extra dressing, spicy sauce, and teriyaki sauce on the side. Steamed veggies are extra cost and I'm ok w that. Every time I eat here I am very happy! A delicious local spot for a filling lunch! They advertised a lunch special for $11.95 M-F til 3pm (not including tax) which comes with white meat chicken, salad, and rice. The chicken was hot and freshly grilled, and was tender to chew! The sauce was interesting: coconut-like and creamy. They also gave small sides of teriyaki sauce on the side! The salad was crunchy and most similar to coleslaw, but warm. I enjoyed it and was satisfied with this plate for two meals! Owner was sweet and friendly. The chicken was pretty juicy with a bit of a smoky flavor and the flavor of their spicy sauce, which I specifically requested on the chicken. Chicken came on the bed of delicious rice, with a side of salad mixed with their awesome white dressing. The teriyaki sauce that was on top of the chicken was not too sweet and overpowering. Was driving down topanga canyon after leaving the mall and was craving some new teriyaki chicken, found this place on Yelp. I ordered the special c which came with teriyaki chicken, chicken katsu, also came with a salad and gyoza on the side. It's a nice small local restaurant that can sit probably 5-10 people inside. The person taking my order was nice and helpful, overall can't complain about the service. Overall very good, I will definitely be stopping by again. Not too much seasoning so you can appreciate the quality of meat but certainly not bland or tastes plain. I wish I would have found this place on the first day of my work trip, not the last day. I was hoping to like this place, but sadly I do not. First off, the chicken and short ribs was not cut up like other places. The chicken was served in big pieces where you have to cut them up yourself. Even Waba Grill cut up your chicken and short ribs. They don't even give you green onions or sesame seeds. The chicken could have better taste to it, but the one big knock is the teriyaki sauce. It's was too salty. Not great at all. I prefer Bowl & Burger in Canoga Park on Saticoy. I liked the chicken more than the shrimp. The shrimp was a bit too fishy for me. I know that sounds weird, but how can I explain that last comment. I've eaten a lot of shrimp of late, and these just tasted a little off to me -- like they just came out of the ocean. No, I didn't get sick or anything, nothing like that. Just tasted off to me. The Chicken was good. Yes, just good. Short rib though was great! Packed with flavor, and supremely juicy. The sides were also really good. I don't eat a lot of onion rings, so I passed on that.
