Great Thai food judging from a Thai who loves Thai food. The food was sweet in general which is very common in Thai restaurants in USA. Food was quite delicious if we disregard the sweetness. Definitely recommend ordering medium rice if you go more than 1 person because the portion is much bigger. They give generous meat in Panang curry but not very generous pork in kana moo krob we ordered.

4.5. Stars. As always- wonton soup fixed me up!! Great for a cold. And spicy beef green curry perfect. Love the pineapple fried rice and mango chicken. All good!

Khun Dang is a small hole in the wall Thai food spot in Chatsworth on Topanga. There are many Thai Restaurant's in the Valley, hit and miss on them. Khun Dang is a hit among the various options. The owner (I believe, she is anyway) is very welcoming and friendly. Service is fast and the food is great! We normally do take out, but they do have a small dining area that you can also eat in if you like. We come me here often for take out. Our latest visit we got 4 dishes. (Below and pictured) did not get soup this time, although highly recommended. We typically judge a Thai spot by their Pad See U and their curry and soups. Many places are heavy on the soy sauce, not here, I can tell you all are amazing. The Pad See U has excellent flavor and you get a generous portion. We love it! We got the Pad See U with Tofu, it is Rice noodles with black soy sauce, egg and Chinese broccoli. Always have to get at least 2 orders or more of this as we all devour it. We got the Panang Curry with chicken, it is beautifully flavored and filling. Panang curry is a coconut milk based curry with fresh chili and bell peppers. Hot and spicy. You can adjust the spice level on this or any dish for that matter, Mild to spicy, up to you. Yum! It does not automatically come with rice, so be sure to order or make some at home to go with it. We also got Mixed vegetables and added pork. The portion is a little smaller, but has a great variety of veggies and Chicken. Come with Cabbages, tomatoes, bamboo shoot, mushrooms, broccoli, bean sprouts, carrots, onions and bell peppers. Lastly we got an order of Chow Mein with chicken, the portion a pretty large with all the noodles, great for kids as well as adults. This dish has Pan fried egg noodles with meat and vegetables. Normally always get a Thai Tea as well, recommended, but not this visit. Do yourself a favor, support a small business and get an excellent meal as well. Enjoy!

After watching a ball game. I had a hankering for Asian cuisine. Not my usual place (pick up stix) but a more local spot. I'm ready to lock my jaws on their crab Rangoon, Tom Yum Kai (soup), Pad See U & gravy chow mein. I was definitely ready to enjoy something so soft and savory for a rainy night. If your on the west end, stop by stuff yourself. Also, if you're a spice wuss like me, they have non spicy items as well.

Small hole in the wall Thai food restaurant. Looked closed from the outside. Inside was clean looking but freezing. We ordered a hot pot spicy shrimp tom yum to warm us up. The service was friendly. The food was alright We also ordered stuffed chicken wings and pad krapow with egg on top. The only thing that I did not like was their Thai ice coffee. It had a bitter taste to it.

We used to love going to another local Thai place that's...well let's just say AMAZING. ; ) But we tried Khun Dang on a whim and I'm so glad that we did! The portions are generous, the food is well seasoned and the prices are lower than most Thai places in the area. It's a whole in the wall with that kind of feel. Honestly it doesn't feel the...cleanest. But I've never seen anything outright dirty. If you're looking for Thai in the area this is a great choice. Our favorites are the orange chicken, green beans, pad see ew, and shrimp.

Always the best Thai food. We order from here very often and it is always so good! Our go-tos are the "dinner specials." I have tried almost every single one and they never disappoint. The "pineapple chicken curry dinner special" is my favorite. It comes with shrimp fried rice and a fresh side salad with delicious dressing. I forget what the exact price is, but it's around $12! Most Thai restaurants only give you the entree for that price. Kuhn Dang gives you a complete meal. The portions are always generous and the prices are very reasonable. Give their dinner specials a try if you haven't already, you won't regret it. Please support this local restaurant. I'm not lying when I say, I can't live without them. They have been a lifesaver providing delicious meals for me and my family during times I have been unable to cook. Absolutely delicious and reasonably priced food.

That side is named Kusina Ni Kuya and has a vast catering menu. I came here for a carry out from the Cajun side and picked as I did before, the half pound shrimp. The only difference is this time, I opted for the peeled version. This was prepared in the house Kuya sauce, medium spicy, with an extra of boiled okra. The dish did not disappoint and was consistent in texture and flavor, and a glorious mixture of spices as before. This entrée has a lot of oil added to it, but that is what brings out this burst of taste and satisfaction. Everything was soaked with the thick sauce. This time what I did at home was, I boiled a few golden premium small potatoes with skin, sliced them into quarters and added it to the mix. Once it soaked up the gravy of the shrimp dish, the potatoes ascended to a totally different level. So how does the peeled version compare to the whole shrimp version? I would say that the whole shrimp selection is the way to go. The meat is not overcooked and you get the flavor off the shrimp shells too, that kicks it up more than a notch. In addition, the fact that you have to use your fingers to get to the shrimp meat (though messy), heightens the pleasure of the dining experience.

Let me be crystal clear--Cajun Ni Kuya just embarrassed half the seafood spots out there…read more Absolutely embarrassed them. I went in for the $38.99 all-you-can-eat, and what did I get? Not some sad, watered-down, reheated nonsense like other places try to pass off--I got REAL Cajun seafood. Properly cooked. Properly seasoned. Actually worth paying for. I ordered crawfish, clams, mussels, and head-on shrimp, and every single tray came out piping hot, drenched in that bold, garlicky, buttery sauce that hits you like a freight train. Not bland. Not timid. Not "lightly seasoned for the masses." No--this is full-flavor, unapologetic, get-it-all-over-your-hands Cajun. The crawfish? Seasoned all the way through, not just dusted on the outside like some lazy joke. Other spots--take notes. The shrimp? Perfectly cooked, heads packed with flavor. If you're scared of that, stay home and order chicken tenders. The clams and mussels? Clean, tender, not a single one questionable--which already puts them ahead of places charging MORE and serving LESS. And then the sides--this is where it gets ridiculous. Boiled okra, sweet corn, quail eggs, all soaked in that same sauce? That's not a side--that's a statement. Everything is absorbing flavor like it's supposed to. No shortcuts. No laziness. Just execution. And here's what really separates them from the clowns-- the quality never dropped. You keep ordering, they keep delivering heat. Same flavor. Same intensity. No "second round is worse" nonsense. That's what happens when a kitchen actually knows what it's doing. Meanwhile, other seafood spots are out here charging premium prices for bland, overcooked garbage and calling it "Cajun." Stop it. Just stop. This is how it's DONE. Messy. Bold. Loud. Flavor in your face. Hands covered in sauce. Zero regrets. If you leave Cajun Ni Kuya unsatisfied, don't blame the restaurant--blame your taste buds. I'll be back. And I'm bringing an appetite that's ready for war.
