Times have changed and unfortunately this place no longer allow AYCE for solo customers. You have to purchase the À la carte menu which is 1 meat for the price of an AYCE. I'm not sure what happened but even the servers couldn't give a definite answer. Hopefully the owner can chime in and explain why the changes occurred.

I can come here alone & eat all the fixins they have especially the fish cake. With just that I would keep on coming back here. They always have fresh rice & they portions are great. I love eating here & enjoying my time with my friends. Definitely will always be coming back here.

I'm torn about this review. I've been a forever fan of Pine Tree. I've been here so many times in the past to eat (20+ years) and enjoyed myself. Today not so much. My table mate and I ordered the $34.99 AYCE. Our first round was the: Brisket: thick cut and had a freezer taste to it. Prime rib steak: thinly cut but was flavorful. Boneless galbi: pretty good. It was a busy lunch at 2:00 pm on a Sunday. I felt bad because the owner (? Guy in his 40s) and a lady (60s?) were the only ones working about 20 tables. We were patient. We waited about 20-30 minutes between the time our first meats came until the waitress came by the table to see how we were doing and to take our second order. We don't know how long it would make until she came back again, so we ordered 4 dishes. She rudely said "too much food!!!" On a super positive note - the owner guy was super nice, friendly, attentive, helpful, and kind! Amazing customer service. Our second round we ordered: Rib eye steak. Good! Boneless galbi. Good. Intestines. It was honeycomb tripe. Meh Beef tongue. Generous and flavorful. Thickly sliced. I still have faith in this restaurant. Maybe it was an off day? If it weren't the nice owner - I'd probably not come back again.

We came here to celebrate my dad's 82nd birthday. The service was great! The food was right on point. Everyone got what they desired which was a big range of foods but the greatest part was that was that they were all delicious. My dad got the Yu-Kae-Jang soup. My mom got the giant fried fish. My sister and I got the Soon Tofu soup. My husband got the Galbi Jim. We were all satiated to content. The best part was that there was no wait to sit down and eat.

We kept asking for the soup but they never gave it to us also they were ignoring our table which I didn't think was nice to add on they didn't have good service even though their were 2 tables with us I wouldn't recommend and I think you should go somewhere else.

I was feeling AYCE kbbq and I stumbled upon this place. For $26 you can get all the basics, pork belly, brisket, spicy pork, chicken. It's a small selection but it's enough. Side dishes are quite good and refillable. In terms of taste I thought these were pretty solid. The brisket and pork belly came pretty frozen. You have to ask for the steamed egg so definitely do that if that's your thing. Overall experience was good. It's not the best I've had but for $26 it's not bad. Definitely hits the craving. Parking is right outside in their own lot. Wasn't busy for lunch Monday.

The chicken shawarma was perfectly juicy, tender, nicely marinated and was accompanied by their special sause along with cucumbers. tomatoes and some herbs. The sauce didn't overpower the fresh amazing flavors of the other ingredients and you could truly taste the chicken and the veggies. All of that goodness was wrapped in a grilled but super soft lavash bread. Being so thin and soft, the lavash bread still maintained its composure, didn't fall apart and each bite was a treat. Absolutely amazing. The customer service was very friendly and the gentleman explained to me that they are redoing the inside seating and that there would be many tables inside. For today, I ate right outside at a table, close to their mesquite grill, where probably all the magic happens. Can't wait to come back to this place to try some of their other meat bbq items. It is a very unassuming place on the outside but the inside is very vibrant, fun and colorful! You can't miss it! Entrance is facing Sherman Way. We ordered 2 teriyaki Ribeye over rice, tacos, crispy chicken, 2 Vietnamese coffees, and 1 milk tea with boba. Everything we ordered was 101%! Paul, the owner, did everything from taking the orders, cooking, and payment. Superman with a great flair for the grill. I wish I had taken a picture of everything but sadly we were famished and didn't think of it at the beginning. The ribeye plate came with a side salad, cup of rice topped with crispy garlic, fried vegetable egg roll, and the star, the most flavorful sliced ribeye beautifully grilled and seasoned! Vietnamese coffee was perfectly sweetened in a sealed boba cup; same with the milk tea with boba which my niece enjoyed immensely. We were sated and full when he gave us a free Hello Kitty waffle for my other toddler niece. This is I got a pic of: a fluffy Hello Kitty waffle with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream topped with whipped cream, side of syrup, and sliced strawberry. He also gave us 2 free cups of watermelon slices and a cup of milk tea with boba. Paul is very sweet and loves little kids! We are definitely coming back here and will be highly recommending this place to everyone!!!

I was a slight bit off but not sick. I did want something light so the order went as follows: Pickled veggies, hummus, Armenian salad, moutabel. The serving dishes were nice and different making the meal so attractive. We all shared bites of each others food and enjoyed knowing that the next we come we know again what we want. Service was lovely and we met George and his family, who were so very nice and welcoming. To have dinner at a family establishment is heart felt and nostalgic, because I grew up in a restaurant environment. George's mother in law came over to us and gave us fresh made cookie biscuits to try as dessert. We couldn't stop thanking them for the entire dining experience. It's a mom and pop shop. The jambalaya and gumbo were the best items I ordered today (11/11). I will definitely order these again. They were the best I ever tasted. Perfectly seasoned with high-quality meats, and very good. It's the best I've ever tasted. I've only had commercialized gumbo and jambalaya at chain restaurants. I didn't order any grilled meats. I anticipate the grilled meats being tasty because I tasted some of the meat in my gumbo and jambalaya at it was good and cooked to perfection. The sides were disappointing and I will not order again: Mac and Cheese: A little dry. Too much salt, too much unmelted cheese. Lacked a creamy inside. The bottom and top were just globs of unmelted cheese. Will not order again. Collard Greens: Tasted bland as if from a can. Mixed with spinach and mainly tasted like spinach. Will not order again. I added the greens to my gumbo so I didn't waste them. Let's be clear, the greens weren't horrible. I grew up picking and eating freshly picked collards so I have high standards for greens. Red Beans & Rice: Beans were cold and tasted like they were from a can. Not the Louisiana red beans and rice I was expecting at all. Rice was undercooked with a slight crunch. I added the rice to my gumbo when I reheated it on the stove. I will figure out what to do with the beans. Customer service was good. The lady was very attentive and went above and beyond to ensure every customer was taken care of. She even gave out peanut butter cookies while we waited. Bring your patience as this is a small-scale (lean) food-service establishment. I spent $30 for 2 half orders of gumbo and jambalaya ($10 each), and 3 sides. I probably could have saved a few dollars if I ordered a veggie plate. It was a little pricey for the portion sizes. I charge it to the gumbo and jambalaya which was $10 each and served in 8oz containers. I usually pay $8 for 12oz or 16oz of soup. On a positive note, I got to sample the menu. I know what I like and don't like. I don't expect to like every menu item at any restaurant. Bottomline, I will go again.
