I've gone to this restaurant many times (with my jr high alums ), and EVERY TIME is superb authentic delicious Korean food‼. Service is great, too. Very attentive to everyone, which is kind of amazing. We mostly went during lunch time, early to beat the crowd.... I recommend getting there early because the place is small compared to K-town restaurants. And the place got full quickly, and the outside seating too. This is an excellent small no frill Korean restaurant. I dined in solo once having beef bulgogi that was very good with the decent selection of traditional appetizers. Another time I ordered take out of spicy pork, same quality, appreciate that they packed all the regular appetizers. Service is fine, I saw Korean customers which is always a good sign. another great comfort meal at Evergreen. Ordered the ginseng chicken soup, tofu pot and seafood pancake. All so good. The chicken soup was the perfect elixir for the cold and rainy day. Tofu pot was silky smooth and just enough kick to go along with the purple rice. Pancake was slightly crispy on the outside but not oily. Side dishes were perfect as well. Date: April 12, 2025 We just finished taking Easter bunny photos when hubs was craving a bulgogi bowl. Yelped around and found this spot fairly close by. Located in a big plaza with a Korean market lays evergreen tucked into the back corner. The restaurant is very small with some tables outside. It seemed like only one ajumma was working as she was doing it all. We ordered a mackerel, and two cold noodle combos - one with galbi and one with bulgogi. Ajumma was so sweet and really loved seeing our kids. Brought us tongs and scissors to make sure we cut the food for the kids and always checked to make sure we were doing okay. All the food was average, imo, however the homey feel to it, gave it a 10/10 taste. It just felt like your Korean grandmother was cooking the meal for you. I will have to admit, the food here is fairly decent. The galbi was soft and had a good flavor. The reason why I'm not giving this a higher rating would be because the owner expects certain tip. For 2 lunch combo, it came out to be about $60. I tipped them $7 on the top of my head (I usually do the calculations on my phone, but today I just estimated). The owner called us back and said "that's all?" I have never had anyone stop me and make me tip them more. So, if you want decent Korean food and deal with an owner that is rude and expects you to tip to their likings, feel free to come here. Not only was the owner rude but she totally overstepped a boundary by asking for a tip. Sorry but what? No ma'am. Had a taste from some take out at first then got in for lunch with fam on a not busy weekday of the wildfires. Nice comfortable place, no fancy booths, simple tables. The lady of the house was very polite and eager to serve. We each had kimchi stew and galbi combo. I've dined at many of our Korean Restaurants in Los Angeles and Korea too, and I certainly love this small place. Of course their Galbi is the centerpiece of their menu but every dish is unique and resembles what I had in Seoul. The dishes are perfectly measured while the banchan is adequately similar to those in other similar restaurants. What separates Greenland is the nuances that make their dish a little uniquely from the Korean palate. The ambience is simple, but if you look around especially during their busy time, you see a mixture of Koreans and a spectrum of people packing this place. So, if you're starving for some Korean, come to Greenland and taste the dishes that makes them uniquely Korean. read more

The seafood pancake is delicious and the best out of any restaurant we have tried. The Kalbi and bulgogi quality and taste is out of this world. It was okay -- not bad but not K-Town outstanding. The Banchan was fishcake, kimchi, cucumbers, Kongnamul muchim, and potatoes. The kimchi tasted off. Seriously it tasted weird for Kimchi. The fish cake was fine, the potatoes soft, and the cucumber crunchy. The galbi was fine. The soon tofu was okay, I didn't see any green onions, sesame oil, and the soft tofu was chopped very small. There was one shrimp in it. The rice was fine, mostly white with a very small percentage of sweet brown rice/black rice. Service was fine. read more

This place is a sleeper. It's comfort Korean cuisine without having to go all the way to Ktown. Their soups are good (seollengtang, gamgjatang, soondae guk) as are the stir fried dishes (squid and pork belly both delicious. They have some bbq meats available too, but it's really not their key items so if that's what you're looking for, this isn't the place for you. I also really like their potato banchan. It was my second time trying this place and I was excited to try the Spicy Squid w/ Rice Cakes. The flavor is on point, so bold and spicy but not unbearable and the rice cakes were perfect. We asked if they could make a plate of just the stir fried rice cakes cuz the ratio of rice cakes to squid was really low. They ended up charging us the same price ($20) even though we didn't have extra squid. Kind of bummed about that. The service was pretty quick. The lady working was really nice. They had a good selection of Banchan too which was nice. And they gave refills no problem. Also when we were packing, they packed up the leftovers for us too so nothing was wasted, which I so appreciate! Highly recommend the mackerel, it was cooked to perfection.
