In spite of the bad reviews on Yelp, my wife saw the almost an hour long video about how much effort they put on their products. Five Guys is not like the usual american burgers we are used to. Five Guys has german owners and they popular in Europe. They prepare their food differently. The burgers has so many options and it was really tasty, I'll order it again. My wife had a BLT and it was very tasty as well and she will order it again. The bacon was very crispy and tasted good. Their fries are so good and based on the video, they power washed them to take off the starch, including a few other steps before they are fried. My wife and I loved the fries specially that it was a lot lol. So there, if you wanna find out more, look for Five Guys video on youtube and see how much they care about their customers. This place has been on my bookmarks for awhile. I'm always down for a good burger.. So I convinced my husband to try this place pout after a movie. It's located just outside the Burbank Town Center Mall on the corner of Magnolia and San Fernando. You can park for free in the mall parking structure of find spots on magnolia or San Fernando Blvd, but that is not as easy. There's tons of free parking in Burbank, so find a structure and enjoy our little town while you're here. Upon arrival, the restaurant was well lit. There are cases of salted roasted peanuts and peanut oil at the door. So if you have peanut allergies, this is not the place for you. But me.. I love peanuts and peanut oil! So I proceeded. We were greeted at the register where we looked up at the self explanatory menu. Pick your item, in our cases we chose burgers. I asked for mine to be lettuce wrapped. And ALL THE WAY which includes all the free toppings, mushrooms, onions, mayo, mustard, ketchup (and the kitchen sink) lol. My husband opted for a double bacon cheeseburger ALL THE WAY. We added a regular Cajun French fry and a soda. $25! Seemed like a pretty steep price tag for a burger joint. We paid and looked for a table. Almost every table needed to be wiped down. 1/2 star deduction. I could understand if the place was packed, but it was dead. And there were ample employees. I grabbed some napkins, wet them down and wiped my own table. Our food came out in a timely manner. The staff was friendly. The burgers were well seasoned.. But nothing earth shattering. Our fries were a bit undercooked. 1/2 star deduction. I always forget to ask for crisp. The Cajun seasoning had a little spice but not overbearing. Personally I think it needed a bit more salt. Five Guys is delicious! The burgers taste super fresh. I personally love to get the Little Cheeseburger "All the way", which includes a slew of toppings. The pickles, lettuce and tomato they use make the burger refreshing, while remaining savory. The cheese melts just the right amount. Enough can't be said for their fries, either. Especially the Cajun style fries. They are salty, spicy, and wonderfully complemented by ketchup. I forgot how much I love Five guys! The parking in my opinion, is doable with the mall parking, and easier yet on a weeknight. Some seating outside, most inside with your standard, All-American eats. Being that I dined with a friend on a weeknight, I got a BLT and he got the works on his hamburger! Any option was pretty much on it and he enjoyed it as did I. Everytime I've been here they always got something on my order wrong. Last order we ordered extra patties for our two burgers. They did not get the extra patty but they sure charged us for it. It has been years since I visited a Five Guys. We decided to stop here on July 3rd at about 9:30PM (about a half hour before closing). It was nearly empty. We were one of two groups of customers in the restaurant. We were a party of two. We found the experience to be great. The service was friendly. The food was made fast (but not too fast). My burger was absolutely delicious. I love the choice of toppings at this restaurant. The fries were good. I thought that Five Guys had cajun fries; however, ours were rather plain. We stopped by this Five Guys while supercharging at the Tesla charger on the top of the mall's parking garage. Service was very friendly. We ordered a veggie sandwich and BLT with fries. The veggie sandwich was surprisingly good, with mushrooms, grilled onions, tomato and bell peppers. I added regular onions for some crunch and was glad I did. The sandwich was a bit dry--I will definitely ask for some sauce next time. My son liked the BLT and ate most of it. The bacon was in small pieces instead of the more traditional long pieces, but this didn't detract much from the sandwich. The fries have some seasoning and are always good here. On our way out we ordered a chocolate malt shake which was delicious. Pricing is pretty high, especially when comparing to a place like In N Out, but I feel like the quality and variety are better at Five Guys. read more

The food is always delicious and staff is always friendly! My review is pick-up time/process specific. How it works: you place the order online (either ASAP pickup or a set a time), you receive a text asking you to confirm when you're on your way so that they can track your location to have your food fresh, then another asking you to confirm when you've arrived. I always accept tracking immediately because we don't live right around the corner. And I always confirm "we are here" even a block or two before we arrive to give some buffer. AND we wait in our car for several minutes after we arrive before going in to give even more time for our food to be prepared. Despite this, our food is NEVER ready on time. We typically wait an additional 10-15 minutes (on this particular visit, we surpassed 20 minutes). I understand that people are doing their best with the pandemic, but our entire reasoning for not wanting to wait this additional time in the restaurant is specifically because of Covid...to avoid contact in enclosed spaces. Yet we always end up having to wait inside. I don't know if it's the staff, management or, most likely, the system that's in place for online ordering. We were told it would be ready in 4 minutes when we first walked in...that was 20 minutes ago. If the system in place isn't helping people to avoid each other/not gather then it's not working. read more

With opening of the Burbank store I figured I'd give them a second chance, because after my 1st visit of the chain I was underwhelmed; I'm thinking that this was was caused by the unfounded adulation I had heard for so long. Take for instance, the fries. Based on conversations, It was if eating them would cure you off all your ills, but in the end, I just got greasy, floppy fries. Yuck. My 2nd trip I have to admit the fries were much better, crispy, cajunie, and not any greasiest than your average fry, but in the end they were just Ok. Also, the prices of the fries are ridiculous. I can't remember exactly, but a large fry was over $6 for just the fries. The burger was tasty as well (Bacon Chz Burger), but at over $8 for the burger alone, the taste didn't represent the cost. The toppings are all *Free, but when you see the menu prices you'll realize you are paying for them anyway, so LOAD up. I paid $12+ for a burger and soda. It's been about two years since I had visited a Five Guys and they don't disappoint. Items on the menu range from hamburgers to little hamburgers, sandwiches, and hot dogs. The hamburger situation is a little confusing for a new customer, basically the hamburger is a double patty burger and a little is a single patty. There is also the option of adding toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, etc. This is an important step! They offer fries as well and I suggest getting cajun fries because it adds flavor. They also offer 12 milkshake flavors from bacon to salted caramel and Oreo. The burger itself tasted good, but for my taste was a little bland. It need some salt or seasoning. Without the mayo or ketchup my burger wouldn't have tasted good. Ooh! And I can't forget about the peanuts! Peanuts are always at hands reach. Parking can be found in nearby parking structures. Its located on Magnolia Boulevard as part of the Media Center aka Burbank mall where San Fernando Road hits Magnolia Blvd. We were craving burgers after landing at BUR from OAK and it was good timing as I had heard they just opened up the week prior. Walking in you definitely feel like this is a burger joint. Sacks of potatoes stacked up. Food quotes on the wall. And the serve yourself peanuts by the scoop. My only complaint is the price. Five Guys burgers are not cheap. Almost $10 for a bacon cheeseburger. Yikes! And I was starved so I got a bacon cheeseburger, little cheeseburger and medium fries. The bacon cheeseburger is good and tasty. It comes with 2 burger patties, cheese and I added mayo, grilled onions, lettuce, tomatoes and ketchup. That's the way I like my burgers and I like that you can handcraft your burgers at Five Guys. The little cheeseburger is good and tasty too. The regular sized fries I ordered was so plentiful.
