Excellent Food tasty ,clean, delicious This restaurant is a really good one, with excellent food quality, very clean, and a place where you can get dishes that would cost a lot more elsewhere, at the same quality, but for a more reasonable price. The staff are very kind, the ambience is absolutely great, and honestly, it's a place I'd say you must try. From the stews, especially if you love chicken stew, to the chicken kebabs, which are amazing, you will really enjoy it. Located inside the Glendale Crossing Plaza, at the V split of Verdugo and Glendale Blvds. We wanted to try a bit of everything so we were guided to the Duke's platter that has 4 skewers, rice, salad and a side order. We did that with the yougurt dip. The bread and dip were tasty. The skewers we selected were the Chicken Shish kabob, the Chicken Koobedeh, and two beef koobedeh (as they were out of Beef Shish Kabob). We also opted to upgrade to the cherry rice. That was a good choice as the rice was delicious but the cherry added another dimension to the flavor. As to the kabab, I enjoyed the Chicken Shish the most. I also added a touch of lemon juice and green pepper (served alongside). The chicken breast was moist and flavorful. The beef koobedeh was also very good. It was tender and spiced really well. The salad was good, but the lettuce was a bit drowned in the dressing, making it a little limp. The staff were helpful and guided us well in our selections. All in all, I really enjoyed this meal. I have definitely makes it in my favorite list. read more

I wanted to like this place, but it's just not a repeat for me. First time i visited, i arrived at 8pm. Their hours on the website, yelp, and their door day they are open until 9pm. I walked in, and the guy walked out from the back and just looked at me. He said they are closed. I asked why if they are open till 9, and he just stared at me. I then walked out. Since it is part of the AA dining program, i wanted to give it a try. I went back the next day at 6pm. There was a man working there, but he was just outside the door smoking. He finished his cig, and came in to take my order. I had the overpriced Beef Koobidah. It was one Koobidah and some rice. Flavors were fine, but the portion was not very big for the price. Further, after getting home and looking at my receipt, they tack on a 3.5% service charge. That is in addition to the tip that is asked for at the register. All vegetables are clean and well prepared with cut consistency... the chef has impeccable knife skills. Their salmon kabob plate is generous with 6 large pieces of salmon which comes with the usual grilled tomato, pepper and house made pita bread which I could write a chapter just on their bread. This is a small establishment with enough room to dine in. The owner is very friendly and it's clear his business is his purpose. This place is a must visit restaurant. They offer a wide variety of menu options to meet the desires of vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, and good old meat eaters. They offer large event catering orders too. Give this place a try... So my husband, son and I enjoyed the food that we ordered. We were blown away by the size of the gyro wrap that we received. I did not think that I would be able to eat the whole thing but due to how delicious it was it was too easy to do so. The gentleman who asssted us also ensured that there was enough tzatziki sauce. Stopped by on a lark, while waiting for a business meeting. the restaurant was empty at around 6:50p, but, was clean, tidy and inviting. Spoke with the owner/manager/chef who mentioned they'd only been open for a couple months. BUT, I let him choose what they were most proud of to serve me and I got 2 kabob of meat and 2 of chicken along with a generous serving of white and yellow rice, along with a grilled tomato and bell pepper. Have to tell you, it was all DELICIOUS. the meat kabob was a 9.5 on a scale of 10 and the chicken a 9.0 on a scale of 10, 10 being fantastic. The white and yellow rice was perfectly cooked and the grilled vegetables were delightful. If I had to choose something to complain about i guess the chicken could have been a bit more moist and I wish there had been some kind of a dipping sauce to go along with the meal. But, frankly that is it. I would recommend their food to anyone, dine in, or take away. Keep up the good work and good luck to you. I only get up your way once per year, for a board meeting, but will keep you in mind to cater the next one. read more

This place has worst Persian food ever. Kobiddeh was tasteless and had very little ground chicken and a lot of eggs and baking soda that it looked like bbq omelette. We went there for lunch and I had the beef kabob. The chef asked if I wanted well done or juicy. I went juicy of course and this was the juiciest kabob I have ever had. It wasn't undercooked inside which is what I would have expected from meat cooked so tenderly. The rice was delicious too! I usually don't go for the carbs but I nearly cleaned my plate and would have if it weren't for the huge portions. I enjoyed this meal with the yogurt. Glendale is known for the abundance amount of Kabob Restaurants. Weather it's Persian, Lebanese or Armenian own they all have similar qualities... meat cooked over a open fire. Kabob village is new in town and quickly has gained momentum to make it to the top of the list. Tasty dishes, excellent prices and a great location away from the main part of Glendale. So far I've had the lunch specials with the beef luleh and these chicken dishes. Very tasty, juicy and I left super full from the amount of meat/chicken and not overloading the plate with rice. Highly recommend everyone to give them a try. They now in my top 3 Kabob spots competing with Raffis Place, Shiraz and Shamshiri. Owner is very nice, out going and pleasant to speak with. read more

We walked upon this place before going to our son's football game and it was DELICIOUS! We shared the chicken kabob plate with salad and basmati rice. The chicken was juicy, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Armi (one of the owners) was the one that served us and he was wonderful too - passionate about high quality food and making sure we were taken care of. I've always loved Persian Kabob. I did a search and found Kabob Village in Glendale which is a fairly new restaurant. I tried and really enjoyed it. I ordered the Duke's Platter (2 Beef Koobideh, 1 Chicken Koobideh, 1 Chicken Shish, 1 Yogurt & 1 Green Salad) and it was delicious! I have yet to try the Shish Kabob and will return to do so. Owner or worker was extremely rude. He got my order wrong and when I tried to explain one of his friends who was sitting drinking coffee interrupted and said I was wrong. First off when we walked in didn't even say hi, I understand I'm not middle eastern but you can still greet , especially when the people after us got a smile and a hello.
