Nice place, but not good food. We ordered BBQ and some appetizers. The BBQ was served with soup of the day, which was lentil soup. It was a little bit spicy but delicious. The BBQ was tasteless, and unfortunately, a small piece of hair was in my plate. The price of the food did not match the tasteless food. They need to improve the food. read more

I've been going here for nearly ten years and it's one of the most consistent restaurants I've been to. Easy five star spot. I've had so many items off the menu and the Tadig is one of my favorites. It's a crunchy rice dish that is topped off by a strew and surrounded by fluffy rice. The crunchy rice is about a half inch thick. It is super crunchy, chewy, and soon to one of your favorite meals. It is topped off by a hot stew that gives you a variety of textures and flavors that leave a party in your mouth you'll want to attend regularly. Not pictured is another one of my favorites and that's the Persian baba ganoush. I love this because the eggplant is warm and soft and it's topped off with crunchy fried onions and a yogurt sauce--not your traditional baba ganoush. I highly recommend trying the Tadig and Persian baba ganoush. Then there are their shish kebab plates which are all killer and no filler. Pictured is the chicken thigh, which is juicy and packed with flavor, but I would recommend trying the salmon because it is so soft with a crunchy skin and I am always shocked that everything always tastes the same as it has for nearly ten years. The ambiance is friendly and the place is clean. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive, and I always satisfied with everything I've experienced while there. They have a free parking lot in the back, btw. The prices are pretty fair, the bathrooms are clean, and there's a guy there on the weekends that plays the keyboard and sings--it's not loud, so it doesn't disrupt the ambiance. OK. They do something here that just SUCKS. When you order falafel here, they take pre-fried ones that have been sitting around getting cold and rancid and then re-fry them when the order comes in. And God only knows what junk oil they are using. You know, Arabs and Jews fight about a lot of things but I think they would be in complete agreement about this. I asked my friends who run an excellent Lebanese place about this and they were aghast. I attempted to address this issue the next day with management and was given 0% co-operation. Very angry, very hurt, and very disappointed. This place discriminates against vegetarians, and is yet another example of people who are hired to prepare a cuisine they are not familiar with and fail miserably at it. I work down the street from the Olive Branch and order out for their delicious fresh salads and other vegetarian dishes. I'm very pleased with the quality and prices of the food. I was getting hamburgers and tacos and fried foods for lunch and decided to move to more healthy fare and I'm so happy that I did. So glad that it is so close and easy to order from. And the staff has always been sweet and accommodating with my orders. I don't believe a better Mediterranean restaurant exists in the area. The food tastes so good and is so fresh. Recently, we ordered one of their kebab dinners which are always great, but our veggie plate combo wasn't fresh, the falafels were as hard as rocks and the tabuleh was awful. I was exited to try this place out for the first time since I saw all the reviews were good but to be completely honest people hype it up TOO MUCH. My boyfriend and I ordered the beef soltani but the beef luleh was sooo dry for both of us that we had hard time chewing and swallowing . We told the waiter and she was nice enough to take it back to the chef and told them to remake it again and we expected for the second round to be more better and enjoyable but it was dry once again . I'm sorry no luleh kabob is supposed to be that dry . Overall nothing really had taste and everything was so bland except for their lentil soup which is sad to say . We also got their chicken thigh to try but it had barely any taste and it tasted too sour ... we both were so disappointed don't think ima go back .
