This is my favorite mante spot. I've tried many different mante restaurants but none really taste as good. I love the crunch and different flavors they offer. The classic is my favorite, can't beat that! But of course the animal style and Mexican is also tasty for something different. They even have hot Cheetos! It's been a minute since I ordered some and now I'm getting in the mood. I think I'll be ordering very soon! One thing I really hope they add is delivery! For those that live on the other side of town it takes a minute to get there to pick up. It would be helpful and great if delivery was an option. I have never had Armenian food before so I was very interested in trying mante for the first time. I ordered the medium size with beef filling and got 3 sauces (Garlic yogurt, Traditional red, and Jalapeño ranch) to-go. It took about 15 minutes to prepare my order. The mante are very crispy and I LOVED the traditional red sauce. I'm not really sure what spices were in the mante or red sauce, but the acidity of the red sauce paired very nicely with the beef filling. The jalapeño ranch was my second favorite and the garlic yogurt was not nearly garlicky enough for me so I think I would pass on that sauce next time. I drove roughly an hour to try this restaurant, and I'm very happy that the mante remained crunchy despite the long drive back. My only complaint is that I wish they gave me more sauce because I ran out very quickly! If I were dining in I would have liked to try some of the other toppings, but I think it would have made the mante very soggy over an extended amount of time. TIP for parking: There is a short stretch of green curb for street parking directly in front of the restaurant, but I found it easier to park on Marcus Ave and walk a few steps. read more

I've had this place bookmarked for a LONG time and I finally found my self in the area(I live by Inglewood) so I had to try it. WORHT IT!!! I tried the beef mantle and it was delicious! First time trying this dish and I can't wait to come back, they offer many sauces to dip or spread for the crispy mante. They also have a few other toppings you can have placed on top but I went with the original mante covered in chipotle sauce with a side of bourbon sauce which all paired well. Additionally, the onion rings here are tasty with ranch so feel free to add those to your order for a enjoyable meal. I totally recommend y'all try this place! As far as parking goes, it seems like it's street parking only and right in front of the business is a 15 minute parking green zone that was available for parking so I parked there to get my order. Mante with toppings?? ...amazing!! Love the concept. Had their large plate split into 3 parts for different toppings. 1. Plain with yogurt 2. Hot Cheetos topping 3. Feta cheese topping They have other options too. It was so good. Definitely filling for 3-4 people. Wish the mante on the bottom was a bit softer though. If you haven't had Mante you gotta try it for sure. There is nothing crazy or a hype but it's really good. Little 1 x 1 thin bread with one little meat inside and made like a bow and cooked. Nice and crispy and not burnt at all so they on top of there food. You can order pretty much with any topping you like. Can make it a nacho style or chopped up hot Cheetos on the top anything you want you can ask and they will put on it. They come in small, medium, and large sizes in the pizza boxes. They got other stuff too I gotta try like burgers, sandwiches, Mac & cheese balls, gyro sandwich, and deserts also. Will be back to try out some other yummy dishes you guys got. Disappointed. Maybe I expected too much from the reviews and the hype. I have never had Mante and bought a few of them for my office on a whim. Sauces were mediocre. The Mante itself was strange and might not have been right. The pastry was crispy but also tough, like the drier pasta pieces left on the edge of the cooking pot. Not in a good way. Wow....where do I start? You have to try all the different Mante's with the yogurt. My favorite is the original but I like the flame n hot version as well. However, some researchers do not discount the possibility that manti may have originated in the Middle East and spread eastward to China and Korea through the Silk Road" Enough of History: Mante House doesn't offer a sampler plate of beef, chicken, vegetable (spinach & mushroom) Manti. So I ordered the Beef Manti which is a small ball of ground beef herbed w/ possibly earthy, aromatic coriander & cumin surrounded by a fairly thin wheat dough wrapper which fries up rather hard & crunchy so that the softer meat is in contrast to crunchiness. I opted for the classic yogurt & garlic which has a slightly garlicky funk & lightly dairy milky fermented sourness. I believe raw garlic is incorporated in the yogurt so there is a metallic aftertaste which I thought was a good counter point to the herbed beef mellowness. I also ordered the lightly pickled shredded red & green cabbage which had a dried spearmint leaf tone & maybe a bit of Za'atar, a Middle Eastern spice mix of thyme & oregano which added a slight smokiness. It was slightly sweet w/ possibly a bit of citrus juice for acidity & then left to ferment for a short while which created a satisfying vegetal Umami. This cabbage/mint was another excellent foil to the fried, beefy Manti. For an extra order, I got what is called Torshi in Farsi which means sour. It is a melange of vegetables such as cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, green beans, beets & is brined & pickled in a bit of vinegar. The crunchiness of the vegetables & the acidic sourness awakens the meatier beefy flavours of the Manti. Baklava here is extra flavourful w/ the phyllo dough being light, thin & a whisper of sweet, fragrant butter to give an airiness to the sometimes leaden baklava of other eateries. The chopped walnuts seem braised for a while in the sugar syrup as well as possibly lemon zest since there is a definite delicate scent of citrus in the syrup. I would come back for just their baklava. Mante House seems to have figured that its traditional flavours may not fly w/ those not too familiar w/ Armenian cuisine so there is "Louisiana Style Chipotle Cream, Nacho Cheese, Sour Spices". Also there is Mac & Cheese, mashed potatoes for the uninitiated. I myself like the closer to the traditional since these fermented flavours seem to be almost universal in Asian cooking because perhaps fermented foods are full of probiotic health giving bacteria & virus which helps maintain good flora in our gut. Our ancestors knew what were good things to eat by trial & error. Unfortunately, modern corporatized food have made many of us get away & dislike foods that give us health. Small Mante topped with cilantro. Ordered the traditional red sauce and garlic yogurt sauce. Dip the Mante in both and BOOM!!! Magic in your mouth. I'm serious, my husband and I fought over the last few nuggets. It was so so so good. 2. Mac n cheese and fries. Pretty damn good. Our toddler loved it. 3. Hummus. Tujunga is lucky to have this new gem of a restaurant. Mante as served here are tiny dumplings, not quite folded together, filled with nicely spiced filling of either beef, chicken or vegetables. The Mante are baked, then topped off with sauce. Delicious! I had the combo which included the Mante, sauce, one side (cabbage salad which was delicious) and a drink (I selected the mint yogurt drink, a trifle more expensive than the soda, but worth it.) The garlic yogurt sauce was perfect on top of the crispy flavorful mante. They also have daily sweet baked goods for those of you with a sweet tooth, which were really good. Service was very helpful.
