Haven't been back since 2010 and the food and service did not miss a beat. Quality meats and superb servers, seated in a warm, beautiful patio, set the mood. We ordered the combo platter (hummus, mast o' moosir, mast o' khiar, Shirazi salad, mirza, and borani) everything was fresh, yummy and perfect for sharing. We also had the chicken soltani, which could feed two people, and same for the the beef soltani. There was so much food, we were excited to go home with leftovers to enjoy tomorrow. Came here for a work team dinner with a group of 16 and had a great time. The restaurant is really nice and the staff was super friendly and accommodating for a big party. Plenty of Parking spot but it is behind the restaurant in the back alley. There's handicap parking in front or you can do street parking. The food was amazing. They offer both family style and individual plates, which was perfect for our group. Everything we ordered was flavorful and delicious. The tahdig with ghormeh sabzi was hands down one of my favorite appetizers, perfectly crispy and so tasty. We also loved the hummus and mast o'khiar, and the complimentary pita bread on the table was a nice touch. The chicken and beef soltani everyone thought it was very tender and super tasty, portion also generous. They have a beautiful covered patio that worked really well for our large group and it made like a private area for us. Overall, great food, great service, and a great spot for group dinners. Second time dining at Shiraz Restaurant and we had a wonderful experience. We celebrated my nephew's baptism and reserved the back room for 24 people. Excellent customer service from beginning until the end. This was also the same last July when we celebrated my uncle's 70th birthday here and reserved the private room in the back. There's a huge parking lot in the back specifically for Shiraz Restaurant and it's free parking. Once you park you can enter through the back and will be welcomed with a pretty water fountain and garden area seating. We reserved a private room for the back and it was beautiful decorated and plates seatings were properly set. Delicious Persian food at Shiraz Restaurant. We were served fish, beef koobideh, chicken lule and chicken shish kabob along with basmati rice, grilled tomatoes, grilled onions, vegetables, hummus, yogurt, soda and tea. The fish, beef and chicken were all grilled perfectly. They were tender and savory. They were not over cooked. The servings were plenty per table. The customer service by the waiters were excellent. They kept checking on us to see if we need anything and they kept replenishing our water. Food was served in a timely manner and they assisted in everything that was needed. I placed an order for 12 PM for pick up and I got there 20 minutes early. Decided to go inside to pay for it and my food was already sitting outside. That is unacceptable to place a food that nearly cost $100 to sit out there when it best to eat warm dish. My cousin is visiting for the first time and I was raving about Shiraz. We walked in at 7:50pm on a Thursday evening and the employee told us that they close at 8pm. If you google Shiraz restaurant, under places. , they close at 9pm. So I asked him, "are you sure? It says 9pm here." He said yes after covid, they close at 8pm. And yet, after checking yelp, it says 10PM and it was updated 2 months ago. If your employees are turning away customers, you have a big problem. Very disappointed. Food is quite delicious and I'm a happy girl when koobideh is placed in front of me. The crispy fish was my favorite. Wasn't too salty and the crunch was perfect. Also the tea they serve with dessert is divine. I believe it has a hint of cardamom in it. If you like Sadaf's cardamom tea, you'd probably enjoy this a lot. Ample parking in the back. Came here with my friend earlier tonight. There's plenty of parking, so we found a spot immediately. We were seated within a couple of minutes of arriving. We sat outside, which is nicely decorated with a little fountain and plenty of greenery. The servers were nice and prompt with fulfilling all of our requests. We got the appetizer platter to share and each of us got the beef shish kabob plate. The portions were large and good for the price. The appetizers ranged from good to amazing, and I'd recommend getting. The plate was a little disappointing, because the beef didn't have as much flavor as I would have liked it too. It also came out lukewarm, like it had been sitting for a couple of minutes before it was served. The vegetables were great though. The lady taking the order was really nice but her voice on the phone lacked any enthusiasm. Super monotonous. When I arrived to pick up my order, they said it's almost ready. While waiting the same person who took my order was in the room where they organize the to-go orders. Just received an order via Grubhub. The food is delish but would like to ask the restaurant, if someone reads reviews, to pay closer attention to the details. I paid to upgrade rice to albaloo but we received regular rice. Had also left comment to send stew "on the side" and that too was ignored and the tahdig was not crunchy upon arrival. I also monitor the amount of rice at each meal and having the rice already mixed into the stew is not optimal. Disappointed but do enjoy Shiraz' food. read more

Tonight was my very first time dining at Shiraz :) ! And it was for my co-worker's retirement party :D ! It was a truly amazing, heartfelt and fantastic event :) ! Other than the love, laughter and memories that my co-workers shared of our beloved co-worker who officially retired today, the dinner dishes of fish, veggies, rice, and dessert were absolutely delicious :D ! The room was perfectly set up with round tables so we could have lively conversations with our co-workers and also enjoy the wonderful slideshow in honor of our retiring co-worker :) ! I have to admit that I don't know what all of these dishes were called since I would have to ask my co-worker who organized this special event :) ! But I would definitely love to come back for a meal because the ambience was so nice and relaxing :) ! The waiters who served us were really courteous and friendly :) ! And it also really helped that there is a huge parking lot in the back of the restaurant that is just for Shiraz customers :) ! We had reservations with their set menu which charges per person for a lunch event but reasons caused more than a handful of people to not be able to attend. This is by far my favorite middle eastern/persian restaurant. If you love boneless chicken kabob, this is the place for you. I use to come all the time when I worked in Glendale. I don't work there anymore, so whenever I am in the area, I will definitely go to Shiraz. If you can make it for lunch, then that's a plus cause they serve dinner portions at lunch prices. I always order the boneless chicken kabob lunch plate. It comes with soup or salad. I always get the ash mast soup (cilantro yogurt soup). It's so good. Then comes the plate, it will filled with juicy tender boneless chicken kabob with a large portion of price, grilled tomatoes, onions and green peppers. I add a little butter to the rice. Oh don't forget the complimentary pita bread, butter and radish, mint leaves and raw onions. Service is usually good. They might be a lacking on a busy day but that's reasonable. The owner Majid Bina, Mahmoud Bina and manager Talin Serafino are liars and very dishonest. They overcharged us for our party and did not serve enough food to our guests. They told us will refill the serving plates as many times as needed. Not only didn't do that but refused to put out enough food. We and our guests will never go back to this restaurant. As a vegetarian I miss being able to eat my favorite dishes from my childhood. Shiraz offers a lot of my favorite comfort dishes that are vegetarian. I love the taste of the dishes. Sometimes it just doesn't taste the same but you can't even tell these are vegetarian. The staff are so friendly and very attentive. The catering service is great. We always order from here. We immediately called and asked to speak to a manager and were brushed off - told there is no manager/person in charge on duty (interesting). When we called and spoke to the owner the next day, not only was he less than pleasant, he demanded to see the food in order to assess it. No apology. Nothing. Quite disrespectful. He did not offer to send someone to pick it up - we had paid for delivery for a reason, it's clearly covid and we don't want to be exposed.
