Good, juicy chicken shawarma wrap. The flatbread was perfectly grilled with char lines showing all throughout. The chicken itself was very moist and had a lot of flavor. It was combined with some veggies, herbs and a few sauces including ketchup, mayo and spicy truffle sauce for $1 more. The wrap was very satisfying and it was actually pretty large as well and definitely filled me up. The truck looks visible and is parked by a large plaza on Ventura blvd, with plenty of parking. The customer service was very friendly and the gentleman working there ran me through the best-selling items there, so I could make my choice. Good spot. Would definitely come back. read more

Late night eat.... Calls for shawarma. Found this gem on Yelp. A little shack on the street of Ventura in front of a CVS parking lot is Rusty's Shawarma Shack. My husband and I ordered the beef shawarma wrap with added garlic and spicy truffle sauce. They come individually wrapped and can I just say that I was pleasantly surprised with the way it is wrapped very tight and clean. The wrap itself has juicy beef with sauce and veggies inside which all come together really well. Every bite that I took was delicious and overall it was not very messy, which is also a plus when you're eating in the car. The wrap itself is crispy and light. The service was professional. The cashier was friendly and offered dessert, banana pudding. I am not sure if they make it in house or if it's just sold but it was okay. Wished it had more of a banana taste. But back to the shawarma, if you're craving shawarma. Goooo there. It won't disappoint. read more

Definitely found my shawarma spot in the Valley! The food is amazing. Food tastes great, amazing portion and fresh. It was my first time eating from here and the guys working made sure to take their time helping me out. They are very professional and have great customer service and patience. The food truck/trailer is very clean and organized. The area they are parked is very clean. The wait time was very reasonable. I waited approximately 15-20 minutes. There is plenty of street parking and a large shopping center nearby you can park. There is no place for you to sit to eat, but that doesn't bother me. Use your car or simply pickup to go. They also deliver using Uber Eats. I highly recommend giving them a try!! read more

Ordered the chicken shawarma wrap bogo as my first time trying it. The wraps were much smaller than what is pictured on here and their social media. This is an assumption but it feels like one wrap was split into two. The flavor was off due to excessive amounts of parsley compared to chicken. I will try it again without the bogo deal but I would be very disappointed paying $20 for one of these wraps. It's at best a $10-12 wrap with the amount of chicken. read more

I tried the beef shawarma, and it's just amazing! I felt very nice ( not heavy) after having it. However, my favorite thing is loaded beef fries with garlic spread! Delicious, portions are more than enough for me, and the ingredients are always fresh. Fries are always crispy and they layer fries with toppings so it's evenly distributed. The service is great and I ordered that dish more than 20 times probably and it's always same outstanding quality. There weren't available for few days and I started worrying. The shawarmas are bomb! I tried a garlic and a spicy truffle. I also had there regular fries. I asked for the fries to by slightly crispy and they were exactly that! So bomb! Reminded me of McDonald's fries or in n outs fries they were perfect. The garlic shawarma was delicious! Such good flavor, the spicy truffle honestly wasn't as good it was still tasty but really lacked truffle flavor, regardless of that it was still a delicious shawarma. This place does not have good communication with customers. I called to place a phone order for pickup at 620. I arrive around 617 to pay for my order and expect to wait a minute or two. To my surprise the cashier sees me by the truck window and instead of greeting me with a smile and ask how he can help. He looks at me and says nothing to acknowledge my presence.. prompting me to say hello first. This already set the tone for disaster and an ick in my stomach. To top it off, he finally responds to my hello and asks for my name.. he then immediately starts to put fries in the oil and doesnt say anything about my order being ready or that he will start. At this point I say hello? Is my order ready? To which he says.. no I am about to start. It is at this point I said dont bother and left. Unfortunately my days are based on time constraint and I dont have the leisure to wait around which is why I called ahead of time to schedule a pick up. To top it off the owner ends up calling my cellphone, berating me to be more "specific" with the time instead of taking responsibility or atleast apologizing. He actually had the audacity to say i told him 625 instead of 620 and that I showed up 15 minutes early instead of 3 minutes early for my 620 pickup time. Stay away. Unprofessional. read more

I've been to a lot of food trucks, but this one really stands out. The shawerma is insanely good--flavorful, fresh, and super satisfying. What really impressed me though was how respectful and thoughtful the owner is when it comes to Halal practices. Even though they serve pork as an option, he always changes gloves and keeps everything separate and clean. He doesn't make a big deal out of it or wait for someone to say something--he just does it.
