Single carne asada combo platter. Awesome!

This place is awesome!! I was craving a crunchy taco and found them on Yelp. I got a combo platter and was blown away by how good it was. The carne asada has so much flavor. The presentation was great. But damn, it hit the spot. Well done !!

Had to cut in half cuz we got smol appetites in the AM

Found this amazing little hole in the wall breakfast spot while waiting for our car to be serviced. I've been craving a really good breakfast burrito for the past couple of weeks and Deli Mex did not disappoint !! The chorizo burrito was perfect and fat as fuck pro tip check in on yelp for free chips and dip :) the dip itself was very, very good. There's a sign in front of the cash register stating that all of their sauces are homemade. You can definitely taste the love and authenticity in every bite. Although there's not a lot of seating, it's very cozy and cute inside. The owner/manager/chef (?) was so sweet and accommodating he def made sure we had a good experience :) Will definitely be back even when we're not getting our car serviced lol

Went off a recommendation and saw the great reviews. Order a carne asada burrito and person who takes your order is super nice and really want to give this 5 starts but just can't because I was let down by the burrito. I think it's because my expectations were so high because it's a good burrito it's just not an amazing burrito. I like a ton of meat in mine and didn't taste the meat as much as I'd like. Great place though and my order came with chips and salsa too

Worth every bit of the weight just be patient. You'll have one of the best tacos with all these ingredients ! Fresher that fresh..we had the Carne Asada and chicken. They both are ideal. Skip Del taco ! Skip Taco Bell! Spend a little more money for a fabulous taco.

Great family establishment. Food is amazing and service is on point. Best breakfast burritos in the SFV.

Fantastic homemade food. This restaurant is a hole in the wall treasure find. The food is made to order. Even the tortilla chips are homemade. I ordered the Mexceviche and my husband ordered the breakfast burrito. The ceviche is a very large portion with lots of fresh fish. We will definitely be back. The owners do the all of the cooking, and they go out of their way to make sure that the customer is taken care of and happy.

Best breakfast burrito I have had in a very long time!!! Super fluffy eggs with big chunks of crispy (but not oily at all) bacon, delicious homemade salsas AND piping hot super tasty coffee!!! Tiny store front on Magnolia Blvd with street parking in front! The place is nothing fancy (though they were playing great jazz!!) but the taste of homemade food is worth the adventure. Plus, the folks working there just couldn't be nicer!!!

The place is really tiny but it was clean and organized I ordered Sam Burrito and it was so delicious. The ingredients tasted really fresh and the lime zest was very refreshing. It's a above average price for a burrito but this is something I'll come back to whenever I'm craving a home cooked authentic burrito. Service was great. We asked for another refill of chips and thinking we would have to pay but it was for free.

    Red enchilada plate.

Cute little place with a small inside dining area and a few tables outside. Their homemade salsa was excellent. Flavorful and fresh. We ordered the red chicken enchilada plate and green carne asada/cheese enchilada plate. Both were very good, though they both seemed like the flavor could be more pronounced. The refried beans were creamy and delicious. Generous portions. The staff was outstanding. Highly recommend.

It was full and the whole parking situation with the metered is a cluster fuck. Not part of the restaurant....lol... Found street parking along Moorpark which was only a little walk to the restaurant. There was a band setting up when we arrived which could also be the reason for a full parking lot. I overheard someone saying that certain days they have live music which is perfect as it's starting to heat up. Nice dining experience with live music. We ended up sitting inside for the ac which I would have love to be outside but it was fine. Breakfast had ended but the lunch menu was quite good. I've alway ordered at the counter each visit which I'm not even sure they have waitress service with order. After ordering, a number is give where it's placed on the table. As there was a couple of us, a few dishes was had. I alway go for the mimosas deal, 3 for the price of 2. Food, the Cobb salad which I forgot to add protein to it but it was still decent. That came with their vinaigrette dressing but a side of ranch was also asked for. The Brie and turkey sandwich with a side of the macaroni salad. Sandwiches were quite tasty with the toasted bread and how everything melted together. The burger which was pretty big in size. Tasty from what I was informed and served with a side of fries. Lastly, the avocado toast with tomatoes. Simple and cheerful. Plus you need an extra side order of streak fries with ranch. Both ketchup and their avocado dip was brought out as well. Food was good, the service was great. Both with the gal at the register and the waitress bringing out the food. It's pet friendly which is also nice to have the little pup with us. Forgot, they also have a nice display case of sweets on hand. And cookies that were massive. Clearly one was had before the meal. Sweets beforehand is always a good idea. Great service, nice drink, live music and a lovely crowd. What a nice way to enjoy lunch on a Tuesday afternoon.

We started with a mimosa pitcher and it was HUGE, definitely good for sharing, but way too bitter for us. We also ordered the cinnamon cardamom beignets. Good price for the portion, but they were super dense and mostly just tasted like powdered sugar and dough. We only ate about half and probably wouldn't order them again. The chorizo and burrata flatbread was disappointing too. It came out cold, and the "chorizo" was basically just pepperoni slices which felt kinda misleading. The one thing that completely saved the meal was the hot chicken biscuit. Easily 10/10. Massive portion, super flavorful, and honestly one of the better brunch items I've had in a while. I'd actually come back just for that alone. Overall, cool spot with a great atmosphere and good staff, but most of the food left a lot to be desired. Not totally writing it off yet, but definitely a mixed experience.

That said for this visit I ordered croque madame. My bosses ordered their usual and I tried the pancake... wow I loved the pancake. Not sure what makes it decadent but I've had many pancakes in different places but this is the best, without any butter or syrup it is very good. And the right texture and thickness for me. As far as the croque madame, the gruyère cheese was sooo creamy and the whole dish is just yummy! The greens break the richness of the sandwich. This time, we were asked to set inside instead of the patio area. This male waiter screwed up two of our orders. I asked for the same Chinese chicken salad, no chicken, just seared tuna. I received a salad full of chickens and 4 pieces of seared tuna. It was so salty I could only stomach 2 bites. I had previously asked to have the dressing on the side, but they mixed it in the salad anyway. I asked him to take it back and have them make me a salad without the chicken, just the seared tuna. Finally it was partially right, but the dressing was mixed inside the salad once again. Extremely salty. When I received my bill, I was charged for a Chinese chicken salad and an order of seared tuna. I had explained to him that I did not want the cabbage that came with the seared tuna, which is why I ordered the Chinese chicken salad without the chicken, instead use the seared tuna. The waitress we had a month ago, got it right the first time and that salad was perfect. This new guy was extremely busy, needed help, and this Mother's Day meal has tainted my memory of this place.
