O'cado is one of those places that just gets it. The menu is packed with bold, thoughtful flavors and a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. I especially love their brunch menu--creative, comforting, and always satisfying. Their rotating specials keep things exciting, and every dish feels like a win for the plant-based community.

Haven't been here in at least 2-3 yrs. Still plenty of meter parking or finding a parking lot nearby Appetizers came in less than 5 mins and the happy hour is a good length of time and on weekends The new mushrooms didn't taste THAT differentt than the buffalo cauliflower Entrees came less than 10 mins after the apps and i was starving! A second taste of that mushroom with the red sauce and it's . The bbq chicken wrap was crispy delicious, steamed veggies, those carrots! I asked for no bbq and it was still on there and it hit so i can't be mad at my waiter

Seems like I'm here once a month. Today split a chickun Cesar wrap. Still tasty. Today it was on the rich side. Will continue to get this and recommend anyone wanting something vegan and delish to order this.

Updating my review as we found the lower priced parking lot, AND the new menu items my husband and I tried last night were SOOOOOOOOO delicious! The Chikun Wings are THE BEST vegan wings I've had! And I've had a number at various other restaurants. Sometimes when a restaurant adds new items, it isn't great. But Ocado's new items are fantastic additions to an already great menu. Get you some!!

Loved everything about this meal. The spicy nachos came with a zesty lime crema and a bounty of perfectly fresh guacamole. The cashew cheese was rich and flavorful and was the best part of the meal. Though these are called spicy nachos, I didn't find them overly spicy. The jackfruit tasted really good and was an excellent complement to the chips. The avocado tacos were topped with a crispy slaw, which provided a nice contrast. I enjoyed the butternut squash I selected as a side. It was flavored well and a little sweet. The chocolate cake was topped with nuts and it was sweet, chocolatey and delicious. Had enough left over for another day and a half worth of meals. A friend sent this over as a lovely surprise and it arrived quickly.

It's a small place and the decor didn't really feel like it matched the vibe, and the karaoke set-up was not very good. It was really hard to hear the backing music, even when you were the one singing, but this isn't the type of place that you come to "perform" for karaoke like a lot of other places in LA. It's very casual and low-pressure. Song choices were all over the place (which isn't necessarily a good or bad thing). Late night happy hour menu was decent and they offered it from 9pm on that night, and the place did get packed to standing room only. I had a hard time finding info on what their happy hour was before we went, so I took a picture to share. This was on 2/6/2026. The bartender, Brian, was very friendly, but I realized when looking at the emailed receipt afterwards that he switched one of my sibling's drinks on my tab, and I'm assuming mine got put on theirs. We have the same last name, so I understand the mix-up, but it would have been nice if he just asked about who was who instead of assuming, and it also would have been nice to see an itemized receipt before paying instead of just seeing the dollar amount we owed. Not a huge deal this time, just something that I hope they will keep in mind in the future. For food, my partner was able to get a pizza from a place across the street and bring it back into the bar, and Brian was kind enough to offer extra napkins. For other people with back problems, be aware that their bar stools do have back rests on them, but no cushions. We had a good time, and this bar seems to host special events regularly, which we may go back for eventually if the right one comes up, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back here.

Sherman Oaks is gritty and the section of Ventura Boulevard that houses TLP is almost brutalist in its anti-establishment aesthetic. You would never know it was here if you didn't either live in the neighborhood or seek it out as I did. It is sandwiched between a completely non-descript place that I didn't even look at and a crystals shop with grafitti-etched windows (unfortunately!) but some really cool beads. Inside is the same -- no frills, a dress-down and survive-if-you-dare vibe. My pictures will illustrate what I mean. Nevertheless, the friendly service (shout out to our server, Patrick), the menu, and the quality of the food are well worth it. Again, see what we ordered in the photos attached. Everything was delicious. The floor, tables, and chairs were all clean. There is some kind of post-apocalypse rhumba going on with the ceiling treatment. It is almost reverse-logic art with all the shading (stains? velour movement?) and utilitarian installation it reveals. Love the walls though, and the worn distressed wood everywhere (see the pix, folks). A bonus was watching the Masters (Patrick let us linger) and sitting by a giant window that was open to the street. Parking is up a block or so on either side. We always find safe spots in Sherman Oaks. The music seemed to be one CD of an unknown (to me) vocal artist and was pleasant. The crowd was friendly and the whole atmosphere was like one big homey grunge party. You know those mornings you fall out of bed and almost don't want to change out of your pajamas or yoga threds? Plus, the avocado spread tastes premade from a bag, not fresh. There were more onions than tomatoes. The "mozzarella pearls" was regular mozzarella that was chopped up. I added eggs on top, sunny side up, they were cold. My husband had the Three Eggs Any Style (description: Served with 2 strips of bacon and homestyle fried potatoes with onions). Exquisitely balanced cream, brightness, and sage makes it sing, while not too heavy! Market caeser salad - Hard to resist! Dressing is light while bitter greens balance buttery breadcrumbs. A more fresh take that still delivers satisfaction. Grilled Jumbo Asparagus - What you'd expect. Nice additions, but doesn't necessarily elevate to the level I hoped. Even if every dish isn't always "perfect" the quality of the constantly updated menu draws me back more than any other place in such a hot area. Refreshingly genuine and cozy
