Kiosk to order with menus on top.

Food was a 10/10 and the service was amazing. For my first time coming here I would definitely come back again. My friends have been here a few times and love the food and service every time. Would recommend!

I love having no expectations and being surprised beyond belief. This little place in Sherman Oaks Galleria is a gem!! Unassuming from outside but warm and welcoming inside. I ordered the lunch special burger fries and drink and it was incredible. It was served to me beautifully arranged by a smiling face. It's the best burger I've had in years., This mall has lost many restaurants and stores I'm hoping everyone finds this place so they stick around.

Most delicious burger I ever head. Juicy, saucey, flavorful, tender and most importantly patty is made from scratch daily. Believe it or not my 10 year-old never tried a burger in his life, but he devoured this one. We tried the AF Burger.

Almost Famous Chicken Sandwich

My first visit to Almost Famous was a disappointment. The service was just OK, the prices felt high, and the food was not very good. I ordered a Smashburger, which was decent, but I came with a group of five and everyone else was unhappy with their meals. Their food did not look appetizing or they could not finish it. Two friends ordered the chicken sandwich, took one bite, and stopped because they said it did not taste good. It made the whole experience awkward since we were all sitting there with food no one wanted to eat. On the positive side, the fries were pretty good and we all ended up eating those. The location is convenient because it is inside the Galleria, so if you are already there for a movie and have no other options, it might work. Just do not come if you are in a hurry because the food took a long time to arrive.

Truffle Burger! A little more cooked than what we asked for (we requested medium), but still delicious!
Jaqlynne Andrea F.

Came in for dinner after a movie! Staff was friendly and made wonderful menu recommendations! We ordered their Truffle Burger and the Fried Fish (cod) Sandwich! Both were delicious, but the Truffle Burger definitely reigns supreme. The patties are freshly ground in house and the payoff in flavor is well worth the effort! I will say that if you are thinking about ordering the Fish Sandwich, opt for the sauce on the side! The fish was cooked great, but the sauce just ended up drowning it.

I ordered online for pickup. Online says ready in 15 minutes. I got there and said I was there to pickup an online order. The cook was shocked. She hurried over to an iPad and found my order. She never saw it, so they never made our order. "Give me 5 minutes." I said, okay. I knew it wouldn't be 5 minutes. I've been here once before. It takes a long time to get your order. That's why I ordered online. As I walked outside, an employee walked in past me and asked if she could help me. I explained. "Do you still want your order? Can you wait?" "I paid $50 for it, yes, I want my order." "Okay, give me 10 minutes." "The other lady said 5 minutes." "Okay, 5 minutes." They know how long it takes to prepare an order, so this is terrible customer service. Set expectations. Don't tell me 5 minutes and take 20. Tell me 20 minutes and do it in 15. I waited at a table outside with my Mom for our order. I watched a walk-in customer order and get her food and leave before our order was ready. Then I got an email telling me the order was ready. I walked in. The cook said, "It's ready." I waited a few minutes, but it clearly wasn't ready. So I went back outside and sat down. Finally, well after 20 minutes, I saw the employee packing a bag and walked in. She apologized and said, "The iPad didn't ding, so she didn't know." How is that my problem??? I have no control over their internal processes. I placed an order online, paid for it, figure out how to get my order and make the food. She made no attempt to do anything to account for the time we wasted. So I said, "You could give us a cookie for this long wait." So she gave me a cookie. The food was delicious, but this is amateur hour.

Hot Cod Sandwich

This place is a hidden gem. Delicious fresh made food from scratch. They even grind their own meat here. I got the fish sandwich and my bf got the AF burger and both were delicious. The owner is so kind and convinced me to try their homemade tartar sauce even though u told her I don't like mayonnaise or creamy sauces and I'm so glad I did, it was delicious. They have been here for 2 years. We came on a Saturday right at lunch time and it was pretty quiet. If you want delicious chicken sandwiches, burgers and more definitely come try this place.

I got the super juicy and fresh AF Burger with Fries combo and add truffle aioli to dip my fries.Sorry it was so delicious I forgot to take a picture of the meal before devouring.

Omg this place has THE BEST fried chicken sandwich ever! You can taste that they marinated it fresh overnight AND made the buns fresh in the morning. Just be patient, wait for them to cook up their magic and then sit back and enjoy. I swear I'm in a full on relationship with my sandwich from here!

Yummy! Tried the AF Burger, perfectly cooked to Med Rare with every bite being juicy and flavorful. Then onto the Med Spicy Chx that had every bite crispy, full of flavor and juicy meat. Lastly was the Fish which as top notch. The cod was awesome accompanied by the very tasty tar tar sauce. Def recommend and will be back. Support local business and enjoy the meal.

This place, definitely lives up to the hype. On my first visit I tried both of their burgers restaurant quality. On my second visit I tried the fish sandwich. Also restaurant quality. They use quality ingredients, they make everything from scratch, I will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Insanely good food, and wonderfully warm service, my experience at Almost Famous was one never to forget. The Black Truffle Burger was cooked to perfection and topped with some of the best fries I've ever had. I cannot recommend Almost Famous enough!!!

This place is so good. I'm absolutely full while writing this review. I got the Black Truffle burger with fries and onion rings and it was great. The truffle and chipotle sauces are amazing.

What a great suggestion for a breakfast restaurant from Yelp!…read more This spacious yet cozy restaurant was a perfect spot to relax with my family and enjoy a delicious meal. The atmosphere and decor are fun, clean, and inviting. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and hardworking. The Latin music softly playing overhead was soothing and pleasant. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious! Each dish was flavorful and fresh. My family and I ordered a garden omelette with fruit, a two-egg breakfast, and penne pasta. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining, and the restrooms were clean. As we finished our breakfast, a band was setting up to perform on the outdoor patio. Live music is performed here free of charge for guests several times a week, both during the day and in the evenings. Parking is limited, with perhaps ten spots in total; however, street parking is available. We definitely plan to return here soon.

I am a huge fan of Sweet Green restaurants for having a good variety of vegan options and being…read moreaffordable priced. While in the area for a workout, I found myself famished and decided to stop here for a quick bite to take home with me. I ordered a bowl to go and it was made promptly although the order didn't end up being completely correct. I ordered a create your own bowl with some wild rice and kale, cucumbers, apples, chickpeas and sweet potatoes. I had also ordered the spicy cashew dressing and pesto vinaigrette but in place of the pesto vinaigrette I was given hot sauce. I double checked the order slip that was placed on the package and it was marked with both dressings, so I know the mistake wasn't on my end. Regardless, all of the veggies were very fresh and the dressing and hot sauce were very flavorful. Everything was portioned well and the meal was very hearty. It was also packaged in a way that made it easy to take with me to go. They have a lovely spacious outdoor patio that I would have loved to sit on, especially since it was a gorgeous day out. The inside and exterior of the restaurant was also very clean and tidy and bright. The service was friendly but it was busy when I came, so it felt like they were very rushed. Parking was very easy in their giant lot that they share with Amazon Fresh and a few other businesses.

The salads when we got them home were just about inedible. The actual "greens" were OK, I guess. But: -the dressings sucked...bad tastes and so sweet. -both of us bit into chicken pieces that had the crunchy cartilage part. This is BASIC for any restaurant serving chicken... no Crunchy Cartilage Parts! -the assembly line preparation looks like it could be kind of cool and efficient if all the elements were crazy good. Like Chipotle back in the day. But this looked like what it was... children dipping their ladles into not so great-looking bins of ingredients. (The kid serving us was actually quite nice and personable.) -I went and looked at the calories, fats, carbs, etc (online)( and was not impressed. Not how I want to use up that 755 calories for a salad. I predict this place will be gone within a few months of the new Whole Foods going into this complex. I'm so bummed... I just wanted a decent place to grab a decent salad that is walking distance from my house.

While we waited, I got us water, and because we were catching up, it took us about 15 minutes before we were ready to order. We both ordered iced coffees. I ordered the steak and eggs (medium with scrambled eggs), and my friend ordered the huevos rancheros. Around noon, the lunch rush started, and that's pretty much the last we saw of our waitress. Someone else brought our food, and I immediately noticed two issues. First, the eggs were overcooked. The presentation is beautiful, but it's not practical. They serve the eggs in a cast-iron skillet, which continues cooking delicate foods like eggs after they leave the kitchen. Before I even flipped them over, I could tell from the bubbles on top that they had overcooked. Sure enough, the bottom was browned and overdone. Then I cut into my steak. I ordered it medium, but it came out well done. It was tough enough that it took effort just to cut through it. After finally flagging someone down, my waitress returned, and I explained the problem. She asked me to hand back the entire serving board so they could remake the steak. That honestly surprised me. The only issue was the steak, so I simply moved my toast onto the board and handed her the plate instead. It was a small interaction, but it made me feel like the staff lacked experience handling situations like this. The replacement steak was much better, and I genuinely enjoyed the potatoes and the garlic butter that came with the meal. Unfortunately, the service never recovered. From the time our food arrived until we left around 1 p.m., nobody checked on our table, refilled our water, offered more coffee, or brought the check. It was frustrating because I saw our waitress walk around with water for other tables but didn't come to us at all. I eventually had to flag down another employee, who apologized, offered us water to go, and brought the check. Ironically, that's when our original waitress finally came back saying she'd bring it. Whether it was poor communication between staff or simply inattentive service, I honestly don't know. I usually prefer speaking with a manager directly rather than leaving a negative review, but getting anyone's attention was difficult enough that by the end of the meal I was simply ready to leave. I really wanted to like this place. The restaurant is beautiful, and it's easy to see why it's become popular on Instagram. Unfortunately, it felt like the focus was on creating an aesthetic experience rather than a great dining experience. For two people, the bill came to about $65 before tip, and it just didn't live up to the hype. The food alone is a 3-star experience, but the service is ultimately why I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars. A note for management: I'd strongly reconsider both staff training and how certain dishes are served. There's no practical reason to serve scrambled eggs in a cast-iron skillet when the residual heat continues cooking them after they leave the kitchen. Just as importantly, servers should be ensuring the entire dining experience is enjoyable not just taking an order and disappearing until it's time to drop off the food. Guests shouldn't have to flag someone down for refills or even the check. If you're looking for a trendy brunch spot with great photo opportunities, you'll probably enjoy it. If you're looking for thoughtful cooking, attentive service, and a restaurant where execution matches the presentation, I'd skip this one.
