My god, this food is so good! Got the Sloppy Bun and tots. And banana pudding. I would not change a thing! I can't wait to try the rest of their menu! Smash burger next!

Popped over to this spot after a haircut.. and am glad I found it. The two gents running it tonight were helpful in their recommendations and friendly. Got the Big Joe, tots, and pb banana pudding. All were absolutely solid. The big Joe had great flavor and was a unique twist on a traditional sloppy Joe. The tots were out of this world. Best tots I've had. Cajun seasoning and the Wagyu tallow made them taste delicious with a perfect crunch. Highly recommend with some bbq sauce to dip. The dessert was perfect as well. The pb wasn't too strong and perfectly balanced out the banana. 5/5, will return.

The service is great and the food is amazing! Haven't had such a great smash burger combo with fries before anywhere around the valley or LA. It was my second time coming here and it's nice they have these tables nearby to sit and eat at since I wanted to eat here this time.

Saw a reel on instagram and new i had to try this place out. Drove 30 min from calabasas and boy I'm glad i did. We ordered the big joe and it was absolutely amazing. Not many places in la if any at all that can really combine a smash burger with a sloppy joe as well as this place does! Service was amazing and food was great also got the honey peanut butter pudding and it was divine. Will definitely be my go to when I'm craving a sloppy joe

Very welcoming staff. Once you order give them a few moments to get your order out to you. Take your order home or enjoy it at your car. Tallow Tots- 10/10 Nice crunch and good portion. Sloppy Bun-10/10 New take on a sloppy Joe. There is still a bite and the flavor is great. I did decide to get it plain with just the cheese to fully enjoy the flavor. Sauce- 10/10 Great flavor! Honey mustard and BBQ mix that is well balanced.

Look for their canopy along Ventura Blvd. Just east of Sepulveda Blvd.

Lately in Los Angeles, Car Washes are becoming night spots. Sloppy Buns has opened their spot at the Sherman Oaks Car Wash just east of Sepulveda and Ventura Blvd's. at 7pm every night. They offer sloppy joes with a twist and deliciously crispy and thin smash burgers. The service is quick and fast. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. It's a great spot to pick up a snack before or after the bar. Or just to grab a quick bite for dinner on school nights. Make sure to check it out! It's an experience.

No joke, the sloppy Joe is back and better than ever. I wish these guys luck as they just shifted the smashed burger trend to a whole new level. I cant wait for them to open and actual location so I can go and get a sloppy burger anytime I crave it. The service is great and the location was chill at the Brewery. Cant wait to go back for another round.

One of the best burgers I've had in the valley! Arthur and co. Know what they're doing

Messy, saucy, and downright delicious--these sloppy bun burgers are worth every bite. The service was overall friendly

Big Joe

Highly recommend Sloppy Buns. I was in the area, mind you I live in OC and had to come check this place out. The two gentleman were very kind and walked me through the menu. The food was absolutely delicious, from the Big Joe, to the chili cheese fries, and their dessert. I am not a big fan of dessert, but whatever they made and recommended me may have changed my views. If you're driving on Ventura BLVD, make sure to stop by. You won't be disappointed.

Finally tried Sloppy Buns and wow. We ordered the Big Joe, the sloppy joe burger, sloppy fries, sampled all their sauces, and had the banana pudding and honestly, not one miss. Everything was packed with flavor and so satisfying. You can tell a lot of care goes into the food. Highly recommend

I honestly wish I had ordered more than two. The fresh juices were also a standout; the Pineapple Ginger and Hibiscus were both spot on. Even the imported ginger beer from Kingston was really good. The jerk wings were absolutely delicious, and those small bread rolls (similar to cornbread muffins) were super tasty. The peas and rice and the plantains were also on point. Now for the downsides, the oxtails were disappointing. They weren't very meaty, and at $35 a plate, I expected more than mostly bones. I did get one decent piece, but overall it didn't feel worth the price. The vegetables were also bland. Dessert was another letdown. The sweet potato pie wasn't sweet enough and had an overpowering nutmeg flavor. The cobbler was undercooked, the crust was raw and inedible, and the peaches tasted like they came straight from a can. Overall, a mixed experience, but I'd still come back for the patties, wings, and fresh juices.

No problem... except no one came to us for ever. We were maybe 1 of 4/5 tables in the place. Finally we flagged down someone who got our drinks going. Looks like he was the bartender - bar did have people too. Took awhile to get some food going as well, but we did eventually. Staff was friendly, so other than the waiting, it was a great time. Sherman Oaks is gritty and the section of Ventura Boulevard that houses TLP is almost brutalist in its anti-establishment aesthetic. You would never know it was here if you didn't either live in the neighborhood or seek it out as I did. It is sandwiched between a completely non-descript place that I didn't even look at and a crystals shop with grafitti-etched windows (unfortunately!) but some really cool beads. Inside is the same -- no frills, a dress-down and survive-if-you-dare vibe. My pictures will illustrate what I mean. Nevertheless, the friendly service (shout out to our server, Patrick), the menu, and the quality of the food are well worth it. Again, see what we ordered in the photos attached. Everything was delicious. The floor, tables, and chairs were all clean. There is some kind of post-apocalypse rhumba going on with the ceiling treatment. It is almost reverse-logic art with all the shading (stains? velour movement?) and utilitarian installation it reveals. Love the walls though, and the worn distressed wood everywhere (see the pix, folks). A bonus was watching the Masters (Patrick let us linger) and sitting by a giant window that was open to the street. Parking is up a block or so on either side. We always find safe spots in Sherman Oaks. The music seemed to be one CD of an unknown (to me) vocal artist and was pleasant. The crowd was friendly and the whole atmosphere was like one big homey grunge party. You know those mornings you fall out of bed and almost don't want to change out of your pajamas or yoga threds? This is the place to go. I loved it. (NOTE: You may have to refresh this page twice to see my pictures, for some reason. grrrrrr)

It was full and the whole parking situation with the metered is a cluster fuck. Not part of the restaurant....lol... Found street parking along Moorpark which was only a little walk to the restaurant. There was a band setting up when we arrived which could also be the reason for a full parking lot. I overheard someone saying that certain days they have live music which is perfect as it's starting to heat up. Nice dining experience with live music. We ended up sitting inside for the ac which I would have love to be outside but it was fine. Breakfast had ended but the lunch menu was quite good. I've alway ordered at the counter each visit which I'm not even sure they have waitress service with order. After ordering, a number is give where it's placed on the table. As there was a couple of us, a few dishes was had. I alway go for the mimosas deal, 3 for the price of 2. Food, the Cobb salad which I forgot to add protein to it but it was still decent. That came with their vinaigrette dressing but a side of ranch was also asked for. The Brie and turkey sandwich with a side of the macaroni salad. Sandwiches were quite tasty with the toasted bread and how everything melted together. The burger which was pretty big in size. Tasty from what I was informed and served with a side of fries. Lastly, the avocado toast with tomatoes. Simple and cheerful. Plus you need an extra side order of streak fries with ranch. Both ketchup and their avocado dip was brought out as well. Food was good, the service was great. Both with the gal at the register and the waitress bringing out the food. It's pet friendly which is also nice to have the little pup with us. Forgot, they also have a nice display case of sweets on hand. And cookies that were massive. Clearly one was had before the meal. Sweets beforehand is always a good idea. Great service, nice drink, live music and a lovely crowd. What a nice way to enjoy lunch on a Tuesday afternoon.

They don't have my favorite IPA on draft, but they have some good options for beers. I do love that they carry local brews -- they have mostly STONE, Golden Road & like, one Firestone (which is usually what I prefer.) They have some cocktails, so for girlypops that prefer those, this is a pretty solid place for variety in drink styles & thereby groups of people. I'm not sure if they have a car park in the back, actually, I usually find street parking right away, & there is a crosswalk right near the business if needed.
